If he got perma doesnt that mean he got banned some times before this ban? 15 days then 30 then 60 or something along those lines? Or can you get insta banned for insubstantial posts, i thought only if you did something really bad like malware links or something like that
even if you have never got banned before, you can still get permabanned if an admin thinks you deserve it. 14/60 days ban usually serves as a warning. -snip
Other than that I don't think it's written in stone. I can request 3 days ban for a user for small warning about changing their behavior.

This is the reason. You have to wait until your ban time finishes. If you still write in forum other than this thread your ban time will be extended for ban evasion.

no. your activity will stop at 28 or 42 because you only posted in 2/3 [1] two-weeks periods. The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Why are you asking the email to be reset? From the looks of it you are able to access your account. Is the ban reason something along the lines of "banned for security purposes" or is is because you broke some forum rule?
doesn't that pretty much indicates that it was banned for security purposes? it seems these kind of bans only happens when some people tries to reset their password through secret question or email.. I wonder what the trigger is.. |

post an address here so that someone will quote it. you can refer to the post that quoted* it (*for more credibility) later when you want to prove your ownership of an account. so no, it's not the same as signed message. it is required for signed message (in certain cases) |
