So, all my predictions turned to be complete opposite. Chelsea is such big disappointment. They were completely outplayed by Real at home. That huge mistake by Mendy summarize game quite well. Benzema seriously pretend to get Ballon D'Or with such performances. In 2nd half Chelsea stabilised game a bit when they were in deep shit already, but failed to achieve another goal.
Villarreal 1:0 Bayern, damn, serious stuff. It's a bit pity that 2nd goal was called-off because of offside. Not every day you can catch Neuer not ready in such quite simple situation. And that 2nd goal would make Bayern situation a bit complicated. Now 1 goal isn't big deal for them, especially because 2nd leg will be played in Munich.

500k Ukrainian refugees went to Russia etc...
Like going to Russia was free choice for most of them... And when there is war and your life is at question, going to Russia is probably better option than die.

What was Putin asking them to do that was unacceptable?
Do you approve 2014 CIA organized coup in Ukraine?
Do you approve NATO spreading to east, although they promised they won't to Gorbachev?
Offcourse it's unaceptable. You can call 2014 coup organized by CIA, but I approve that Ukrainians wanted to get rid of president who worked in interest of Russia and not his own country.
I approve that independent country can decide themselves what organisation they want to join. Especially when they such neighbour like Russia. I talk from my country perspective also. Joining NATO was one of best things which happened to my country.
And I'm not sure why there is so much talk about Ukraine joining NATO when there is no sign that they would be accepted anytine soon. They weren't accepted in 2008, after 2014 it become even more unlikely.
Also, Russia broke their promises too. They had to provide security assurances to Ukraine after they get rid of nuclear weapon.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: April 06, 2022, 06:32:23 PM
Chelsea - Real should be very interesting game. Interesting how Chelsea will react after big loss to Brentford. I expect that it may be not most beautiful game to watch without many goals. I go with under 2.5 goals.
Villarreal - Bayern, everything looks quite clear hear. Recent results of Villarreal looks sad and Bayern will try to get significant advantage in 1st leg already. So, I go with Bayern win and over 2.5 goals. Not high odds but safe bet IMO.
2544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 05, 2022, 08:50:05 PM
City 1:0 Atletico. What a one-sided game. City dominated against well parked Atletico bus. We saw typical Atletico tonight, they didn't even tried to play, I barely can remember their dangerous attack. Seems that they tried to play for 0:0. Minimal loss for them isn't something terrible, while for City even minimal win at home was needed.
Benfica 1:3 Liverpool. I regret that I picked City game to watch, this one seems to be more entertaining. LFC were much better, but I disappointed that they scored 3rd goal. 1:2 score would give us more interesting 2nd leg, while now LFC have confident lead.

I also checked my messages and I see this warning message. Such precautions is always good thing, considering how smart some scammers is and that many people isn't aware about these things. Phishing links hiden under image is tricky and dangerous thing, so, maybe some users will think twice before clicking it after they'll see this warning.

I want to report that during the captcha phase in the freespin interface, sometimes there is the google recaptcha, sometimes another one I don't knwo the name.

When there is the google recapthca, a red message says "to site owner, invalid site key", the captcha is not functional. One or two refresh of the page usually loads the other non-google captcha that works.
I don't have captcha on free spins, but I get this error on WoF spins sometimes. For me it was enough just to reload page and error is gone. Though, this issue happens so rarely that I don't pay attention to it.
2547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Has Russia committed War crime? on: April 05, 2022, 07:36:33 PM
IMO this was a war crime and the West will condemn it, but the question is: will they have the balls to go all the way and isolate Russia? For instance, Burger King and many other Western companies continue to operate there. Countries like Hungary still support Russia and help them finance their war. Is this going to change after this genocide? I doubt it.
I don't believe in full isolation of Russia. All these sanctions is painful for them, but West don't have balls to hit where it hurts most - embargo on Russian oil and gas. C'mon, some countries are ready to pay for gas in rubles. And yeah, there is still many foreign companies continue to operate in Russia

Quote
Those thousands of people who got beaten and thrown in jail at anti-war protests did not want the genocide to happen and would not want you to put them in the same group along with people from the street polls.

Maybe it's not correct to say that all Russians support war, but it's safe to say that majority of them support it. Even independent polls shows that support to Putin increased to over 80% since start of war. Though, probably you will get different results if you will ask whether you support war in Ukraine, or do you support special military operation in Ukraine. I think these polls use second name.

Bump

There are games tonight guys make your picks.

I am trying to make a ticket and I can't find anything of value in these two games. They can end with almost any result from 0:0 to 2:2, especially since we have City-LFC derby on the weekend. I think Liverpool would be happy with a draw away from home if that means they are fresh for City. Too risky to place the bet on odds of just @1.4.

Atletico Madrid is capable of frustrating City for sure so we could have anything here as well. I think I am going to just watch tonight and place my bets on other sports.
I actually surprised to see such low odds for City win . Ok, maybe Atletico don't play their best football, but I think they're understimated way too much.
Benfica - Liverpool is tricky game. Liverpool is favorites even playing away, but Benfica this season already nade one big upset.
2549  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements - Discussion. on: April 04, 2022, 08:46:27 PM
Personally, I don't mind people making threads to praise about their achievements and also to say thanks for helping to achieve it. Though, sometimes I see such threads as attempt to hunt some extra merit. And some people is simply narcisists, to they need to brag about their achievements, get attention and satisfy themselves in such way.
It's not my cup of tea. I don't like to brag too much about my achievements and I don't really want to get too much attention. When I reach x number of merits or reach other milestone, I rather use already existing topic than making new one. Like I did when I turned Legendary:

2550  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can The World Most Powerful Man Putin Be Assassinated? on: April 04, 2022, 07:54:51 PM
I think it's possible, but not very likely to happen. And I doubt that US CIA is able to do it. More likely that assasination would be made by someone from inside. Probably someone from army.
But do you think that something will change if Putin will be removed? I don't see Russia turning into peaceful democracy. Considering how much support in Russia Putin and his actions is getting and by what ideology people he is surounded, I have doubts that direction of Russia would change seriously.
2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 04, 2022, 07:36:10 PM
Actually I set an alarm for me to wake up and try catch a little bit of the game but came home way too tired to even hear the alarm. I think one day I will move to a country 3 or 4 hours before me so I can watch all these games!

BUT watch the Pedri replay and be happy. Xavi says he actually is being encouraged to shoot more and more in training, because he's very shy lol
I imagine how much pain to watch European football if you're Asia. I experience similar things when I try to watch events hel in America or Asia. Offcourse, you can watch replay, but then you have to avoid spoilers somehow and it still don't give same emotions as live game.
And that Pedri goal was real beauty. Important win and next target is Eintracht.
2552  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 04, 2022, 07:20:43 PM
There was a fake in the maternity hospital, there was also a fake in the theater, why is it not a fake here? As Hitler said in Mein Kampf, "The more monstrous the lie, the more likely it will be believed." According to another version, this is a quote from the Goebbels manual, but radish horseradish is not sweeter. Apparently, the Ukrainian media follow the precepts of their ideological inspirers.
So, everything what goes against Russiaan narrative is fake? I still remember how Russians lost in their lies about hospital in Nariupol. First, Konashnenkov from Defence ministry said that it was fake staged by Ukraine, a bit later Lavrov said that hospital was base of Azov.

The 24-minutes interview with Marianna Podgurskaya (Vyshemirskaya) was published two days ago. - https://youtu.be/IEJ9xG6-Va0 (in Russian)
This video is edited and cut so much that I would be sceptical about things said in it. And as I understand, she is in Russia, so, in fear of her own security, she may say what they told her to say. BTW, she isn't actress ajnymore like Russians accused her first?

There is also the problem of the eight-year genocide of the Russian-speaking population of Donbass, who held a referendum, exercised their right to self-determination and decided to become independent, and then asked Russia for recognition and assistance. Russians do not leave their own in trouble, so now Russian soldiers are fighting side by side with the forces of the people's militia of Donetsk and Lugansk.
That referendum and these self proclaimed states is a joke. Such referendums is worth nothing. You simply can't make referendum in one region of country and announce independence. It goes against constitution of Ukraine. Such questions should be solved in referendum made in whole country. Same stuff about Crimea.
And about "genocide" - Russia is responsible for it. Until 2014 people were living in peace there, until Russkij mir didn't came.
2553  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 03, 2022, 06:07:35 PM
I think many of you saw photos from Buch city where streets is full of ded people, men killed with their hands tied and people buried in mass grave. Guess how Russian defense ministry reacted to it. Everything is staged and faked by Kiev to show it for foreign media and while city was under control of Russia, none of civilians weren't hurt:
https://ria.ru/20220403/minoborony-1781557525.html

Even if Europe does not have a better solution, this is not a reason to apply a bad solution, simply because they could not come up with anything better. Cultivating Russophobia and thereby encouraging the manifestations of Nazism in Europe is not very smart against the backdrop of the operation to "denazify" Ukraine. Europe should seriously consider its behavior towards Russia, given that Europe depends on Russia, it seems much more than Russia depends on Europe. Nazism did not fall on Ukraine from an unknown distance, Nazism was and remains the highest stage in the development of European philosophical thought - and this is a serious problem in Europe, because Nazism is unacceptable to Russia.

#StopHatingRussians
Like I said before, you and many other Russians see Nazis everywhere, but it's more like looking for skeletons in th closet. Russia need to find imaginary enemy to justify ther actions. You can find far-right movements around Europe, including Russia, but it's so insignificant and small and they don't play any role to pay much attention to them.
Russophobia is another thing, but it's that Russians aren't liked without any reason. Simply every action have consquences.
2554  Other / Meta / Re: Would the IQ test have made the forum better? on: April 03, 2022, 05:49:21 PM
Nope, it wouldn't make forum better. First of all, it wasn't IQ test actually. It was just some test which check knowledge of history, geography and other stuff. IQ test looksa bit different. And I don't see point of such knowledge testing when you can bypass it by checking answer on Google. If there would be real IQ test without a way to bypass it, it wouldn't be bad idea. But it should be made not before every post, but before making account.
2555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 21/22 - discussion thread on: April 02, 2022, 11:16:26 PM
Interesting stuff in Eredivisie today.
Ajax conceded againstGroningen first, but it didn't took long time to make comeback for them. In the end of 1st half Ajax already were leading 2:1. In the end of game they added another goal and won game 1:3.
Twente started game very powerful and they were leading ;0 against PSV after 25 minutes. PSV loss looked inevitable. But they managed to make an incredible comeback in drmatic way. They made score 3:3 on 93th minutes. After this game Ajax leadi increased to 4 points.
In other games Feyenoord and AZ achieved important wins in fight for UEFA spots.
2556  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 02, 2022, 09:39:32 PM
Polls and support in a country where the opposition is send to jail, there is a law that penalises with 15 years saying anything else than the "official truth" and, in general, has demolished systematically any dissenting voice means very little.

We tend to forget that one of the pillars of a Democracy is free press. The fact that a candidate is "elected" means nothing when the electorate is kept in the dark.
I agree with you. Putin destroyed free press and opposition. But even if don't beleive in polls, all things shows that majority of people support war in Ukraine. One reasons of it is that they see one truth on TV and media is washing their brain for few decades. They blame NATO and US for this war, or as @xandry said -  pindos and geyropa. And these who don't support it, they keep silent because they simply fear to ruin lifes for themselves and their families.

So, tonight we have semifinals of March Madness. First semifinal between Kansas and Villanova starts in 3 minutes. Next we have Duke and North Carlona game. At this stage when team that I supported (Arizona Wildcats) is already eliminated, I'm rooting for Duke. It would be amazing end of glorious Coach K career if he will win NCAA on his fianl season. I put stake on Duke win tonight.
2558  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 01, 2022, 11:53:48 PM
I am based on data from the Russian Ministry of Defense. There are a lot of fakes on the Ukrainian side (including about 100 captured tanks), Russian data looks reliable. Putin has declared the west to be the "Empire of Lies", so Russians have to tell the truth in order to look like a knight in shining armor. Grin
Why do you think information from Russian defence ministry is reliable and they're not spreading fakes? Blindly believing in information given by one side is living in alternative reality.

Quote
Yes, this is discrimination based on nationality, a manifestation of Nazism. What collective responsibility are you talking about? I did not vote for Putin in the elections and I am not responsible for his decisions and actions. I am responsible for my decisions and actions, but I have no responsibility simply because I am Russian. I am human and you can treat me without national or racial prejudice.
Maybe you or some other people didn't voted for Putin, but still, he is elected by majority of votes. And according to surveys, over 60% of Russians support war in Ukraine. If they support it, I think they should be ready to accept consequences of it, one of it is banning Russian athletes from competitions. This is waht is collective responsibility. Yes, it's not compleely fair thing because people who aren't responsible fro it and don't support war is also suffering, but nobody haven't offered better solution.
Let's say that I didn't voted for presdent or government of my country. I don' like what they're doing, but I accept this as we live in democracy and majority of people who voted, showed support for them.

They probably expect same respect as recently deceased USA politician who said that death of 500 000 Iraq children
was worth price to be sure that Saddam doesn't have WMDs.

let numbers sink to you for a while:

150 dead children in Ukraine, unprecedented sanctions
500 000 dead children in Iraq, nothing happens

Before you accuse me of Russophilia: yes, I think all wars are disaster, and I think Russia are in Ukraine
not only for geostrategic, but also economic reasons. But Ukrainian leadership played right into Putin
narrative, as if they wanted him to attack

Also, amount of American hypocrisy is staggering
I love when people start whataboutism and brings USA card. How it justifies war in Ukraine? And you really compare number of victims in war which lasted few years and war in Ukraine which started month ago. I'm not going to justify what US did in Iraq, but it's not a reason not to react in things which happening in Ukraine now.
And I don't see how Ukraine actions provocted Putin to attack them. Yes, they wanted to join NATO, but they wouldn't be accepted because of ongoing conflict in Donbass. So, there was no real threat for Russia. And can you answer me, does Ukraine need to be in NATO or NATO need to have Ukraine? I think all things show that NATO don't really want to have cUkraine in their alliance.
2559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 01, 2022, 11:15:56 PM
Results of draw gave us very ballanced groups. None of all groups can't be called as death group. Offcourse, we still can't get clear image in some groups when there is still few qualifier games remaining.
From all games, USA vs Iran sounds very interesting, offcourse, not from footbal perspective.

Yes, Europe does have too many teams. There needs to be more of a balance. I understand that if you picked the strongest 32 teams in the world, a lot would be European. But it's a world cup and should have a lot more participants from other continents. And if there were fewer European teams, it would make European qualification more exciting.
Don't agree about it. I think that current system is optimal, but anyway, from 2026 they're going to increase number of teams from 32 to 48 and not UEFA will get most of new spots. 48 is way too many teams and level of competition will drop - there will be plenty of not watchable games in group stage. Facts don't lie, teams not from Europe and South America barely can get out from group stage with few exceptions.

IMO, it was one of the best April Fools Day prank on Bitcointalk. Kudos to theymos for it.
