2541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there interested in a Virtual Visa Debit Card ? | Opinion asked on: March 05, 2022, 11:38:29 PM
I don't think #1 would get that much traction as a service? It's not that much different from normal payment methods imo. #2 sounds great though, it's pretty much what most people want for privacy and anonymity needs though wouldn't it shut itself down once crypto is accepted as a general payment for most businesses? Or am I missing something here? Though I guess it's a good startup right now since adoption is still rather minimal. There's also the case of limits (which I understand is required), but some may not actually like it. Still I reckon there'd be users who'd want to use it.
2542  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin-instant credit?? on: March 05, 2022, 11:26:08 PM
Is this about confirmation on the blockchain? Cause I'm pretty sure that the wallet of casinos would always wait the confirmation in the transactions before crediting it to your account. It's not really a matter of "wanting to do it" or anything, it's just how crypto transactions work. The blockchain stands as the middle man for both sides so ofc both sides need to wait for it to confirm before the two sides are able to do anything else. At the very least, I'm pretty sure most would require at least one confirmation before creditting it.
2543  Economy / Economics / Re: OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ? on: March 05, 2022, 01:13:29 PM
Or you can just invest. Free from problems of development and worries imo, unless you want to start up a business centered in crypto, I'd honestly avoid doing those kinds of stuff. Maybe NFT stuff as a personal hobby, like you're an artist, or an aspiring one and want to sell yours, then feel free, but if you were to join in the hype, I'd honestly say stop, you're more likely to lose money. Well doing investment stuff or starting up a business doesn't need to happen only when crypto is low, you can honestly do it anytime. Just make sure it's something people would actually be willing to invest in.
2544  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 05, 2022, 11:42:05 AM
Quote
8. Get a gambling license.
Some casinos don't have one, and that doesn't make for them scams. A good provably fair engine can cover a lack of license
A good license still gives the user some peace of mind though. Not that I'm saying all licensed casinos are good, hence the word "good" before the license. Curacao, for example, is a license afaik that can easily be obtained by anyone, it doesn't make it a bad one, but it can easily be obtained as long as you have the money afaik. Also, I don't think people often check provably fair at the start? Pretty sure casinos would put priority in wanting more exposure so they'd want something that could let them have an initial good reputation at first glance.
2545  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 05, 2022, 07:44:52 AM
I don't think there's a need to boycott the good ones? Maybe if you found a connection to them agreeing to the war or being pro for it, then yea sure let's all go for it, but if not then it's simply attacking the wrong side imo. Russian citizens/business owners are becoming victims of the current situation with these kinds of boycotts when they could've been prevented instead. I don't think we need to add more people to the list of victims. Probably help in trying to support Ukrainian citizens instead tbh.

Ofc, what I said doesn't include casinos that are inherently scammy or have a bad reputation. Even without the Ukraine Russia issue, those should've been boycotted long ago.
2546  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Invasion is affecting Sports Economy. on: March 05, 2022, 05:08:55 AM
It's not only sports though, a lot of industries and businesses are probably putting out sanctions by closing down their businesses or refusing to sell to their country. It's also idk, dumb? Since most of the ones that these sanctions affect are groups that aren't really related to the Russian government, basically hurting groups that aren't really part of the ones responsible for the current situation. Though well, considering the limited moves some organizations can make, it's probably the best one they have (other than helping Ukraine itself).
2547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Role of sports in politics on: March 05, 2022, 03:17:17 AM
It isn't odd really, most sports competitions have teams participate in them cause they represent a certain country/region. I'm not sure if it's right to call it politics even, but the teams do indeed get the wrong end of the stick with how things are going right now. Sports organizations had to make a stand to support Ukraine, so they basically have no choice but to sanction sports teams that represent Russia, and well, I doubt teams are able to play with just them, being there, as their own team and not as a representative (afaik anw).
2548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders - Never lie, be realistic. on: March 05, 2022, 12:55:19 AM
You don't earn that much from day and scalping tbh, it's more like you lose a lot more instead. I've had my own experience when doing day trading and it was honestly hell. Even if I profited, it was rather minuscule from what I recall. Probably because I was mostly bad at it, but you can't deny that even then, the chances of both winning and losing trade are pretty close to each other so you'd mostly end up close to zero profit at the end of the day. Was one of the main reasons why I just switched to doing DCA.
2549  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 04, 2022, 03:56:28 PM
I don't think 7 matters that much? That's on the side of a subjective opinion, I'd rather have casinos properly stick to the rules that they have set instead of changing it willy nilly at times to their advantage, and set those said rules to the users properly.

Can't agree more with the others though, especially being active in the forum. There are a lot of instances where users have questions with regards to the casino after all, especially new ones. Heck, even old ones still coordinate here, especially during issues that users have that are in here, it's a rather easy way to communicate and understand what the issue is.
2550  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia has attacked nuclear power plant in Ukraine on: March 04, 2022, 12:27:15 PM
For those who want more specifics, here you go

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60613438

Seems like Russia took control of the nuclear plant, and the one that was bombed was, thankfully, not the nuclear reactors themselves. I have no idea who the bloody hell initiated the idea but he's a madman in the realm of madmen, that could've made an entire country disappear off the face of the planet. I don't know if they accurately planned on the shelling (I hope they did, that at least leaves them with still a bit of reasoning ), but just the act of doing it, even if it was planned to avoid the plant itself, is enough to condemn them, much more than it is right now.

It doesn't seem like there were big changes to the market itself, it still looks like the steady movement we've always seen. I'd still on the opinion that the market would only react positively to anything that plays out with the war, whatever it may be.
2551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to Bill Miller, the collapse of Russia's currency is good for Bitcoin on: March 04, 2022, 10:36:21 AM
It'd make people realize at the very least how Bitcoin can save you from a collapsing currency, that is if they can even realize it in the first place. That was probably why some rich people weren't really afraid of what the war could bring to their economy, since they can just use Bitcoin to save the value of their assets. I still don't think it's going to be of any help in Russia trying to salvage their economy though, it'd be at most, a helpful asset for the rich to still be rich.
2552  Economy / Economics / Re: Usdt and usa dollar is in danger on: March 04, 2022, 07:58:25 AM
You do know that stable coins are just coins pegged to their fiat counterparts, right? And honestly, I doubt the US would remain silent if they were going to a losing battle in terms of economy, ofc they'd fight back. USD has been the reigning currency for a long time now, and they'd probably do their all to keep it that way. And I don't think the China Russia duo can do anything at the moment, especially with how things are going for Russia. They'd be better off worrying for their economy instead.
2553  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIFA and UEFA has suspended Russian Football teams. on: March 04, 2022, 05:52:15 AM
It wasn't really unexpected, there's been a lot of sanctions recently in the Russian sports scene, I reckon its entirety would eventually get hit by sanctions like these. It is kinda sad though since their representation of their country is the one that's literally destroying their careers right now. I know it's a method to pressure Putin, but really, it's affecting everyone except him. It's attacking the wrong part of the wall really. I personally would allow teams to participate, but don't allow events to happen in their country.

Pretty sure at this point they're just doing the bans cause the issue was blown out of proportion, plus compared to the past, dissemination of info is way easier. I'm not saying that they didn't have a choice back then or that they ignored it, only they can answer that, but right now, they had to make a move since it's like they're being forced to do something as well. Just to show that they belong to that moral highground or something you know?
2554  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world of sport reacts to the Russian invasion of Ukraine on: March 03, 2022, 10:43:23 PM
I just personally think it's a pity to some athletes since there are some that are there for their passion for the sport, though a part of me do agree with the sanction since they do represent their country, Russia (whether they like it or not at this point in time). I guess it's just rather unfortunate since they never really chose what country they were born in, nor did they actually know that their president will, well, do something like this when they started representing their country.
2555  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 03, 2022, 01:40:37 PM
I don't think it's the right idea, that's just a gambling platform so for me, I will continue to support a gambling site even if it's operating from Russia, but now 1xbit or 1xbet for sure as I am not using them due to their reputation. That's just my personal thoughts, we are free to do anything we want though.
And well, in addition to that, there are already boycotts by official organizations (such as being kicked from sports events afaik) so I don't think there's a need to add more. If you were to think about it that's already hurting people who aren't really part of the war issue or agree to it but they were still affected. I don't think we need to affect more unrelated people as consumers. Honestly, I'd rather much more offer support to Ukraine instead of boycotting Russian services, probably a more effective way to help.
2556  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's the new big Cryptocasino to use for a UK player on: March 03, 2022, 09:29:46 AM
I've never had issues in the past, never had accounts blocked. But maybe just because I'm lucky?
Or you were always under their radar for betting a few meager amounts that they never really bothered on checking. It's still doable imo to play with VPN on casinos, just that even with small amounts of bets that you do, the chance always exists of you being caught by casinos. It's almost a random chance encounter though I think it's still influenced by the actions you do when using your account. So yea, tbh just use a casino that allows you to play. A lot of people haven't been caught using VPN, but at the same time, a lot of people have also been caught, though if it was because they detected VPN usage, or suspicious activities, or just wanted to randomly do a KYC check, we'll never know.
2557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2022, 04:05:28 AM
What's the point even in differentiating men and women in investments in general? I mean, it's not like both genders have a difference or a special ability that differs them from the other (except genitals ofc). If it was simply because men are more exposed to investments than women, it still doesn't really hold the question as to WHY there should be surveys like this. Does it matter if there are more male or female investors? They're still investors in the end.

However, one of the barriers to investing in crypto that many women face is a lack of knowledge. I hope new investors in cryptocurrencies or blockchain projects need to research carefully before participating. Amidst the uncertainty about the future of cryptocurrencies, everyone should still start to learn and do their own research.
Males could also lack knowledge, myself as an example way back then.
2558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 03, 2022, 03:08:08 AM
Hey guys theres a news article stating that ebay might be accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos, if this happens then I believe itll be a game changer for the crypto world. Not sure how credible the article is , has anyone else heard anything similar. Also there was mention of an announcement on march 10 to confirm this. If positive,  We could see a new high even in these times uncertainty .
I don't think it would become a game-changer even if it did happen? Maybe on Ebays side, sure, but on Bitcoin? I don't think Ebay is still THAT big for it to have that much of an influence.  They're pretty much on a downhill and they're only probably using the possibility of them accepting crypto as a form of exposure. I mean eh, yeah sure it's good for adoption, but that's it, I still don't think it'd change much in the market. The biggest impact imo would always be the first ones, while subsequent ones wouldn't really give that much impact anymore.
2559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble what you can afford to lose on: March 03, 2022, 12:26:51 AM
Well then, the only thing missing here is him blaming the person who invented gambling. It's not a mistake, it's pure escapism imo. It's basically wanting to blame something else since you don't want to blame yourself. It's like a user blaming a casino for their actions when they're only complying with the rules they themselves set. Sure, there might be some instances where suspicious activity came out, but there are also instances where it's just the user wanting to blame someone or something. Might as well blame the world for being like this.
2560  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 02, 2022, 02:17:28 PM
Well, it would ultimately always end up losing in the long term, as long as the product or service is always on the right track that it was originally supposed to be. FUD, as the name states, is simply Fear and doubt, it isn't anything concrete or a matter of fact, but rather, speaking simply, fake news. Especially in a market like this where we've tested quite a few times in terms of FUD dumps and the like. Tried and tested so to speak, so people wouldn't easily believe FUD at this point. Still recommend for people to DYOR though.

I'm more on the stand that we'd see steady movement instead of recovery, marking its foundation at the current price range of $40k or so.
