1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much initial startup to Start Cryptocurrency Casino? on: December 06, 2022, 08:38:48 AM
For the website itself, you'd probably need a minimum of $10k for a freelancer to develop it, and I wouldn't exactly call it a casino that could compete with other famous ones if you're going for the absolute minimum. Whitelabels exist but I'm not particularly sure how much they are (I think they're around $15,$20k at least?), not to mention that you'd still need to hire a team to manage said Whitelabel to suit your taste. Then there are the website certifications, hosting, etc., plus the license of the casino.

That's just the website part, there's much more you'd need to spend on like marketing, staff/employees, plus a bulk of funds for winners in your casino. $100k might be enough if you scrimp but I don't think the casino would grow or last if you did that.
1542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you pass stakes proof of income verfiication? on: December 06, 2022, 06:11:15 AM
But come on, if I have to provide all the documentation to be able to bet at Stake, they're not going to see me there, with all the options there are where you can deposit, bet and that's it.
I don't think you need ALL, they just need to match whether the funds you deposited were properly supported by whatever document you presented and if it fits I guess you're all fine. It'd be a problem if say you deposit $100 but only sent documented proof of getting $50. I reckon most would probably put up Salary in as proof anw (I reckon Sig campaign rewards would be included there instead?), so it'd probably be pretty easy for most to provide proofs if they wanted.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is pay to earn considered gambling? on: December 06, 2022, 02:28:46 AM
I wouldn't call it gambling. That's a tournament, a competition. If it was considered gambling, bloody hell the entirety of the eSports scene would be considered one, the only difference is the prize pool was brought about by various investors instead (afaik). No matter how small the entirety of it is, as long as there's a prize pool, a game based on skill (>99% skill, <1 luck), and players, that's a competition.

If the risk of "losing" money was taken into account, a lot of small-scale tournaments ask for players to pay an entry fee of sorts (based from my experience), but I still wouldn't call that gambling, it's still a tournament. I'd only ever consider an activity as "gambling" if it had that instance of "randomness", bringing luck into the play, and said luck being the majority of the cause for the win/lose. Most competitive types of sports wouldn't really be considered as one, most of them are strategy/skill based.
1544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why make Samuel Bankman-Fried popular for the wrong reason? on: December 05, 2022, 04:20:14 PM
If you mean famous by having his name in articles, I think it's natural since the FTX issue had him at the lead so people needed a name, not just the company/exchange name, but rather the lead person for the issue.  I also highly doubt people who didn't know the issue would even know of him, I reckon it's the first time they'd even seen his name in the first place. And in that case, them knowing of his name basically attaches the FTX issue, which is in no way the popularity you'd want imo.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto would you like to see more in Online Casinos? on: December 05, 2022, 02:22:48 PM
I'd say most of it would be rather subjective, not really something you'd want for general-purpose use in a casino (other than the top coins using ofc), so it wouldn't really matter imo. I guess some specific tokens could be used if the casino owner (or any bigshot on it) was the dev or something similar. I myself have never really tried looking for "exotic" or anything similar type of tokens, I mostly use BTC, ETH, Doge, LTC, mostly normal tokens you'd see in most crypto casinos. Never really saw the need in the first place to use exotic tokens though, might be different if it had an inherent use.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino on: December 05, 2022, 03:34:24 AM
i tried 3 websites and it all the same
Seeing as you've tried 3, sites, I guess you'd be fine with other casinos. If so then I suggest avoiding newly made ones and instead stick to old and trusted ones, especially if you're new to gambling online. There's a bunch here that are known since long like Stake, Rollbit, etc., There's also various review sites you can access so I highly suggest checking them out first.
1547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 04, 2022, 01:19:32 PM
It's either they were looking for a quick profit, or the investment they made in the first place couldn't be afforded to lose so they were rather fearful about investing it in the first place, especially in an asset that would take say a year or two (which is already short imo) to grow.
If the bull run ever start again do you think it will be massive for small and medium investors. I mean those who start up their Bitcoin holding investment with an amount as low as $100.
Wouldn't say so. Bitcoin may have grown to tens of thousands of dollars in price (and may grow in the future), but it's space for profit was unlike what it was in the beginning. It is nonetheless still profit though so I don't think anyone going to complain about that.

Recommending someone to invest in Bitcoin is some how risky. If the don't have the patience to wait for the bull season to commence the might sell at a loss and but the blame on the introducer.
Any investment is always risky, heck even a quick lookup on crypto investments would say that it's probably riskier than other investments due to its volatility, but it's also this that made it possible to profit big in its cycles. Blaming whoever recommended it to you simply means the person doing the blaming was never meant to invest since they couldn't even do basic research in the first place.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 04, 2022, 01:29:20 AM
I reckon most casinos have their own internal forum where you can discuss the issues they have (afaik), not to mention there are review sites out there where you can put out some of your misgivings about what the casino has done to you. I do agree with not trying out big on any casinos that are new or have no rep, trying them out would be fine with a small amount, just to test whether their games are working or they can allow you to withdraw, but anything long term should be put on hold till you're able to judge that a sizeable amount of people use it and deem it trustworthy.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: December 03, 2022, 09:15:04 AM
Some casinos have better RTP which also can be a reason but if you see the difference considerably then it's your lucky casino and I bet you will know the truth if you bet big and won accordingly.
Then I don't think it's a "lucky" casino anymore since technically there's a clear-cut reason about why you win more, unlike luck which is random. Though I don't think RTP would be enough of a factor to influence the difference between 2 casinos, especially if we consider OPs case of where it's the same game.

Actually, OP is referring to a specific casino game and not a gambling site as a whole where his game-winning chance is much better compare playing other games. That's why OP always considers playing on that game if bad lucks occur on other games he played with.
Isn't it Game X on Casino A and Casino B, and OP wins more in Casino A compared to B even though they're the same games? If what I understood is correct anyway.

So I don't believe that there is this lucky casino. Maybe we just feel comfortable on some crypto based casinos because they are reputable here and we don't have issues with them that's why we continue to gamble with that casino.
Kind of agree. I've played in multiple ones but I never really came across any "luck" difference between the two. Even if there was I reckon I just needed to play more to balance everything out.
1550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 03, 2022, 01:47:18 AM
under-age gambling.any side effects?
Firstly gambling is a habit that becomes an addiction when not properly control and its really gonna eat you up likewise making you restless and not always focused on things you should do.

The  rate at which i see young minds and teens involved in the act of gambling in my area is really alarming and because of the poor regulatory bodies controlling the laws in my area they can't really do anything about this and its really affecting this young age.
Gambling has become a thing for everyone in my locality with out any age restrictions and am just curious If this is not going to cause side effects on this young gamblers.

Just the other day i was predicting  some games in the world cup in a betshop cause my network was bad so i can't stake online  so i decided to go to the betshop to place the bet, then to my shock i was boy aged around 14 to 15 years who came in and gave the cashier a booking code to place the bet and give him the coupon and the cashier collected and i was like isn't this too little to be involved in such acts.

And am just curious if this won't affect the person in times to come

Probably has been discussed to oblivion, but my point would be that they're free to interact with gambling at a young age, but not like this. Should be under the supervision of an adult, and even if they were asked to give the bet slip by their parents, or someone old, it should never be a kid who does it. Letting them know what gambling is, and letting them gamble are two different things. Idk if the laws are lax or if it's just allowed, but if it's written in black and white about underage ones, pretty sure you can file a complaint or something.

Not necessarily surprised younger people know more about gambling compared to back then. Just goes to show how the internet can easily teach someone about something imo.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 02, 2022, 07:40:10 AM
I'd be lying if I said I knew, most hypes that came out that I knew of literally just popped out of nowhere, metaverse, NFT's, and even p2e games where I was active back then. Sadly enough most of these don't really have a solid foundation that is kept up to date. I'm more of the side that's hopeful that some of the past crazes actually just create a proper solid foundation without all the influence of hype, something we can expect to develop properly even a decade later or something.

NFT still has that issue of the market being only filled with hype (though I've seen some quality ones), as for the metaverse there was a thread about its development with AR in this section in the past iirc? That's actually something I'm hopeful to see more (and not Zuckerbergs, if you can call it one).
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's freedom is Absolute! on: December 02, 2022, 04:49:23 AM
Wouldn't OPs idea of freedom only apply if no other factors would be involved? I mean I'm totally down to store my money in exchanges if exchanges weren't free to lock it and steal it, but no, we agreed when we used their services that they have the freedom to not be responsible if your funds were lost. You exercised your freedom only to lose it to another party, which kind of makes it like it's not a matter of freedom anymore but of common sense.

My point is, no one should detect for anyone how to enjoy the freedom. You can only advice or teach, stop seeing people using exchanges or doing kyc as anti bitcoin.
To use your logic, they're technically free to say to others how to enjoy their freedom Wink
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 02, 2022, 02:27:36 AM
Ok so I'm assuming here the problem is the existence of "KYC" itself, users don't want it, and some casinos HAVE to have it due to laws and regulations, so technically speaking there's no method whatsoever to satisfy both parties since, well, they both want it. There may be no KYC casinos out there but most of the famous ones do have it and are required.

If they were to meet in the middle, then the current system would probably be the best, only KYC based on specific conditions. Now, this is abused by some casinos but can easily be fixed by being public with their findings (which some casinos don't really do), and being REALLY specific so that the bloody argument could be done and over with just one single talk. Crypto being used to trace and track could probably be helpful.
1554  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 02, 2022, 01:18:13 AM
The idea is to integrate it witj nany casinos on the end.

Is just idea of a startup im not going to do it anytime soon

But every gambler who play live casino will love to see new gamea for sure . (I am gambler myself so i know how other gamblers thinks)
Yea I don't think that makes sense, street gambling being connected to a casino would just ruin the idea of it being a "street" gambling mechanic, removing any sort of "new" that you ever said. Not to mention I don't think it's allowed to film in the streets, especially if gambling (if it's even allowed on the streets). Additionally, a platform would be needed (and twitch/yt doesn't allow those), but let's be real, who would visit a casino to watch others play instead of playing themselves. And you being a gambler doesn't necessarily make you the representative of all gamblers.

So if you think it can be rigged it doesnt make sense. Live casino providers dont gain anything from rigging a game t

For example if lose win 5k hand live black in stake.com by endorphona provider. Endorphina gain about 0.5%.
Stake.com gain the most.
It still stands that you can rig the game though.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: December 01, 2022, 10:05:12 AM
Nope. Never really swapped back to casinos that much, I usually stick to what I last played in (which I leave later on when I find a new one). Even then I don't think I've ever had a casino I'd call lucky, they're pretty average across the board as far as I can recall. It'd be a different thing if it was a game though, really enjoy Crash and I can say I probably win more there than lose compared to other games. Ofc it might just be me being lucky but hey, that's what gambling is all about.
1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: December 01, 2022, 04:41:44 AM
I don't think there are any other possible solutions since the problem itself is with the usage of credit cards, as Op have said. Any solution brought about would require NOT using credit cards anymore since you'd either be using an alternative, or you'd just outright ban it, which basically leads to the same result (which is good in the context of the problem imo).

As for Sportsbet's solution, I highly doubt it'd be useful. Alerts are just that, alerts, they are easily bypassable and don't actively do anything to stop a gambler from going past a certain amount. If they instead set up a system where the account is locked for a set amount of time after a report from their AI was sent, say maybe 10 minutes or so, it'd probably be more effective than alerts.

If the problem, in general, was users depositing "too much" in a set amount of time, what I said earlier about a lock would probably be for the best. Ofc it can easily be bypassed by switching accounts, but that's another issue altogether imo.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 01, 2022, 01:37:11 AM
I don't really see how this s unconventional or minimizes losses. If you mean it forces you to always contribute that "equal amount" for every session and not increase/decrease it arbitrarily then I guess you can call it so, but it doesn't actually decrease it (But it is a good idea for socialization nonetheless). The risks you take are technically the same imo whether you go solo or with a group, the ratio would still remain the same after all, though I guess the planning part increases since you guys are not thinking alone but rather collaborating instead to think of matches and their winners.
Do you have a unconventional betting strategy that have been working for you? Do Share.
Nope, I deposit, sit in one sitting and ruin my entire bankroll. My gambling session in a nutshell.
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The origins of Slot games on: December 01, 2022, 01:04:45 AM
Slots would probably be the next thing you'd imagine/remember when talking about a casino after poker. It's basically an identity at this point imo. I actually never thought it was related to gambling when I first heard of it, which was in a game iirc, since it wasn't introduced with gambling as the idea in the first place, but knowing how it is now well it just fits to a T with how casinos have reskinned slots to oblivion.

The best part here is their colorful theme and the lighting, it is perfectly designed to attract more gamblers in the casinos. Its interesting to know the history of slots games and over the years it changes into a better machines. Maybe the innovation of this slot machines in the future will be more interesting, I wonder what could be the big change for slots in the future.
It's kind of similar to how gaming arcades design their booths, it's really colorful and obvious what the machine is about, hence why it actually can attract attention even from afar. Idk which came first though, slots or those kinds of booths (I reckon it's slots).
1559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin December price on: November 30, 2022, 11:32:28 AM
Never really expected any rise from November, the FTX issue was unexpected though since I honestly thought we'd just hover around $20,$23k for the rest of the month, which went down the drain and is instead around $15,16k instead. While I still don't have any bullish sentiments, dipping to $13k seems unlikely if nothing happens, so I'm hoping for a steady increase toward $20k instead, or maybe just a stand at $17,18k. No big moves imo, just the usual we'd expect like the past months, DCA still your best friend.
1560  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum wallet got hacked, 5 years of bitcoin gone on: November 30, 2022, 05:39:23 AM
Isn't it gone? I doubt most would be able to do anything in terms of recovery once it's moved, maybe if a report is done but I'd say it's rather minimal for exchanges to move to help recover it. I'd honestly try to clean everything from said pc/laptop first and change your security for your emails, accounts, or anything important since as I've said, your funds are most likely lost already. Invest in a hardware wallet to avoid the same thing happening again and try not to well, open stuff you don't know where it came from.
