I do think it is a bit dangerous to announce the tech so long before it will be ready

Only way to get that pre-order money rolling in..

True that, and ppl still support such business tactics is beyond me

No actually, I own only about 10 machines with dual Xeons in them... just that they dont mine.

Of course if you think the numbers are wrong, maybe you should just point it out?

Lovely, lets also assume each GPU is watercooled as well (since you just pulled 2800MHash/s) But thats ok, i'm the owner of Koolance.

What the point when you can just assume i paid $0.07/Kwh, get whole sale price for parts and a datacenter equivalent of power grid.

I would love to see where do you live that you can pull 9Kw of power without major rewiring.

You argue you rather operate a delivering business by using 10 Civics instead of one Semi-truck.

Its amusing when you can get the civics at dealer cost as well..

Then complete omit the management cost, drivers' salaries and maintenance cost.

9000W really isn't that much, it's only around 40A. I could easily install that on my existing panel without upgrading my service, and I don't even use electricity for heating. Dealing with 9000W of heat is a much bigger challenge that providing electricity to GPU farm.

Not everyone use 240v. You might not need to upgrade your panel, but wiring isnt just your panel.

It doesnt matter if your deal with them is cheaper. The total cost coming out of the customer's pocket dictates your sale.

DHL express is probably the best for international shipping. In Asia, they're the most preferred one.

Why not? I doubt they are padding their shipping prices, so if they get a discount, you do too.

Did you miss "total cost" ?

or you completely dont understand?

A lot of this depends on the contract we have with individual couriers and they price based on your profile. Taking FEDEX as a case we can actually send more cheaply on International Priority than International Economy and that is peculiar to us. DHL is getting a lot of our business currently but they are being competitive and wanted our business. We are talking to the courier companies to see if we can do better based on a raised volume.

For those of you within the first 50 orders you should have got an email today asking if you wanted your first board on an early shipping slot i.e. this week or next week depending on how things here work. We are now taking payments for people that want the early shipment. After this first week of shipping and a bit of the next we will revert to shipping purely in order we received orders. It is then all down to how fast we ramp up output and when those large amounts of heatsinks arrive.

Stuff

I kinda expect alot more accurate math from a asian. Maybe you should change your username (which is also very amusing btw)

You then back pedaling your math with bunch of assumptions. I guess thats how you "aced" your math in school huh?

You know what, fuck all this pricing bs, i will go straight to being Newegg owner and own a datacenter, fuck all of you bitcoin miners.

This is coming from a guy with one watercooled gaming rig and one dedicated 5850s minging rig, not even owning a mining farm.

11th of May was a reasonably lucky day 15 blocks, the 10th however only 7 and 16 on 9th, so if it was the 10th  (it was 11th may or so) I can understand that earnings would be down. This is going from the timezone displayed on site rather than local time.
Hope thats a help,
Graet

Thanks.
I'll make a new test starting right now (account #1257)
cool, hope it works out better this time Smiley

I cant login to the site, is there something wrong?

It was waiting for response then load the pink error page

there is a problem with logging in at the moment
people that are logged in already are fine
more info and hopefully a fix asap
thank you

I wish my electricity was 0.085 in Houston. Where do you live?

But yeah I have pretty much the same cooling setup for the room, except without the foam. And ambient here seems to be more like 10-15F above external. Good thing I run water cooling so none of my cards throttle.

The 3x5830s in the garage with a huge 120mm fan blowing on it gets to 88C!

typical definition of huge by azn standard right here!

By huge I mean one of these Smiley

please dont embarrass yourself

my san ace can shit on that...

in seriousness, a 20" windows fan can do the job at much lower noise.

No, what kind of idiots trusting this service?

No insurance, no guarantee. I'm not saying the OP is bad, but shit happens... which in turn make the worst out of ppl.

Typical "fan down" heatsinks are fail, too much turbulence to be effective cooling.

Real world experience or hearsay ? You sound like an expert but do you own a board so you can prove all your theories ?

hearsay?
 lol

If you take that as some sort of "expert" knowledge, i wonder what your "common sense" is

Dude, I didn't pen that! My account was hacked! I just woke up, having my first cup of coffee. I'm tryin' to get a hold of the admins now to get this all straighten up, but they're still sleeping. Until then, I called Rackspace and had my account enabled till this is all rectified.

You need help. I know you werent stoned while posting so the fact that you think you have a sense of humor show you need therapy.

I can give you my real last name too. That doesnt mean i trust you with my cat, and i hate cats.
2576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Magazine ~ The Online Version on: May 15, 2012, 07:46:23 AM
Wouldn't it be funny if Matthew wrote a farewell letter/post to the community, a la Zhoutong's letter? Then we would all reply with things like we'll mess you, please don't go, you've been such an asset to the Bitcoin community, etc.

Full Disclosure: I've stated it before, and will do so again. I personally have nothing against MNW, but do enjoy poking at him. In fact, he's one of the few people on this forum that knows my real last name (given to him via a PM a couple months back and in trust).

That said, where's my fuchin' magazine, prick?  Kiss

~Bruno~

Whats special about knowing your last name? No offense but that last part was meaningless.

I just heard about this magazine so hopefully its actually released soon.
2577  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cant mine with Intel graphics used for display? on: May 14, 2012, 03:06:21 AM
Depending on what version driver you have installed, you may need to use a VGA dummy plug.

If you update to the latest version you wont need the dummy plug.

I actually thought about it. But dont have the resistors to make them, store closed today

I dont think newer or older driver would matter. I'm using 12.3 as well as 12.4.

The reason i think we need to use dummy (back in 11.4 driver) was the issue with energy saving feature from AMD. They disable the device if its not connected to a monitor. What they "fixed" in the newer driver (i think) was to make sure one monitor connected to any of the GPU, which didnt work in my situation as i only connect the monitor to the IntelGPU.

I have a Z68 board and 2 x 5850s. I'm using IntelHD for display. AMD driver is installed and windows7 recognized both cards.

which amd driver?  you have to the the openCL for mining to work, not 'just a driver'

I got them installed as well, sorry , meant to say the whole thing (Driver + SDK)
2579  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.4.1 on: May 14, 2012, 02:47:07 AM
I got this :

Code:
ADL found less devices than opencl!
There is possibly more than one display attached to a GPU
...

Failed to initiate GPU thread 0, diabling device 0
Failed to initiate GPU thread 1, diabling device 0
Failed to initiate GPU thread 2, diabling device 1
Failed to initiate GPU thread 3, diabling device 1

Situation: Running Z68 board + 2x 5850s + Windows7. Using IntelHD for display, AMD GPUs are not connected to any monitors. AMD GPUs driver is installed and recognized by windows. I want to use IntelGPU for desktop as its a workstation, and mining the AMD GPUs

What should i be looking at?

2580  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Cant mine with Intel graphics used for display? on: May 14, 2012, 12:02:35 AM
I have a Z68 board and 2 x 5850s. I'm using IntelHD for display. AMD driver is installed and windows7 recognized both cards.

However i cant get mining to work (tried CGminer, Diablo, Phoenix).

I believe CGminer says my OpenCL device is disabled. Diablo just crashed and Phoenix showed blank screen.

Have anyone got a setup like mine?

Its my workstation so IntelHD is preferred for display. I dont want mining affect my desktop performance. I also want to clock 5850s mem really low so its more efficient.

I searched and found none so forgive me if its been covered.
