2561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO SOON on: September 01, 2017, 09:18:20 AM
So, now I have really thought about what you write in the white paper, and made some math you can think about.

Lets assume that ETH value is 400 dollars. And the Gas about 50 000. The lowest gwei you can use, is like 0,5 now. That would mean that the cost is 0.000025 ETH, or 0,01 dollars, to get about 0,00032 ARTE. So to get the value for 1 ARTE, 1/0,00032 *0,01= 31,25 dollars per coin.
So, there will surely be bots to call that function, and mine the coin.

So, lets assume that you pay 100 MNE, or 10 ETH, and get 10000 ARTE, during the first year you would get 0,432*365=157,68.
That would give the dollar value, 157,68*31,25=4927,5 dollar.
Assuming you bought the first day of the ICO, and payed in in ETH, you payed 4000 dollars.

The total amount of coins that can me made with public mining is 512000. This is calculated by the total amount of  times the function can be called multiplied by the average number of coins made by the function. I here divide by 2, since the average value will be half of the original number.  3200000000*0,00032/2

So, That predicted value is off based on a couple of wrong assumptions:
1: That people would mine, and then sell at the same value. That would off course be a bit stupid, so the predicted value would ofc be higher.
2: That the price would not drop under the public mining cost, it could of course do that, and make that function useless.
3: That the cost for mining 1 ARTE will me constant. It will not since you get a bit less for every time you call the function.

So my prediction is that the Value of the coin will be higher then 31,25 dollars, and it will be a fight among people to mine it until it will eventually stop, when the amount of coins*the value of the coin is less then the current cost to mine it. And every time the price get higher, the mining process will start again.

Please let me know you thoughts about my calculations, have I made this correct? What are your thoughts about it?

Hey, a mathematician !? 100MNE = 400$ Huh

well right now yes, but since you can buy ARTEMINE in both ETH and MNE in 1/10 ratio, and the value of Ether is around 400 dollars, the value should be around the same.
But I don´t know where you got the 400 dollars per MNE from in my calculation.

He says 100 MNE for 400$, which is pretty accurate.

NEO is in the process of creating a coin-to-coin exchange called "NEO-X".
NEO is also NEO-Q which is quantum resistant (i.e., takes unbelievable resources to even approach hacking the code).
Not only that, but it is going to offer NEO-FS, short for file service, for storing data on the cloud.

Yet people continue to focus on how the Chinese can't (legitimately) buy into Red Pulse using NEO.
SOOO much positive.  It's on sale, gobble it up!

Could you provide a link to that info? Can't seem to find it
This guy recites upcoming plans pretty well... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYZDslZOq3E&feature=youtu.be

Thanks man!

Will the ICO be capped off when a certain amount has been raised, like let's say 5.000 ETH? (That's pretty much half of the entire cap of Minereum)

Whats the best place to keep minereum tokens at the moment? Ive got mine on an exchange.

Hello MNE community, I am considering a large investment in Minereum and Artemine but have some questions I was hoping someone on here would be kind enough to clarify for me.

-Why is the Minereum way of mining superior to traditional mining infrastructure that most of the crypto world relies on?  Is this algorithm that mines "on the fly" quicker or more efficient in someway?

-Does Artemine mine the same way is Minereum?

-What specifically am I purchasing in the Artemine ICO?  I see on previous discussions you're technically purchasing a Genesis Address.  So, if I were to purchase 100k Artemine, I'm really purchasing one Genesis Address that will generate 100k artemine tokens over 60 years, correct?

Thank you all!

1. The self mining principle is more efficient in the sense that no miners are directly required for the generation of coins. For more information on this process refer to the whitepaper and/or news articles that can be found on the initial page of this thread.

2. Yes Artemine self mines in the same principle as Minereum, in addition, Artemine will allow Public Mining.

3. When you contribute in Artemine you will be getting in return a Genesis Address that will generate the allocated amount of coins for a period of 100000000 ETH Blocks, the period in time depends on the ethereum blocks duration over time, at current avg block time of 20 seconds it will last for about 60 years.

Is there any way to purchase a number of ART coins without buying a genesis address? I can't imagine ART being able to be listed on an exchange is there isn't a circulating supply

The genesis addresses will create the circulating supply, is the same as Minereum

Alright, when will we get more details about the ICO? I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm very excited! Last question though, let's say I buy a genesis address for 250MNE, which gives me a supply of 25.000 ART. Let's say the price of ART rises to 0.1$. Can I then sell my genesis address for 2.500$, or will I only be able to sell my address for the amount of coins that have already been mined?

Hello m8es!

Can anyone please explain me in a few simple words - what are the main points of this coin and Technology itself? Ive read WP and all the stuff, but nowdays lots of beautiful words appear with no sence inside.

What is the usability of this coin and how it will be able co compete with hundreds of others?

These coins are essentially bringing cryptocurrency closer to the people. With MNE, we're already able to create our own coins, and with ART we'll be able to launch our very own ICO's. Also, MNE will be used as a lottery and crowdfunding platform, whereas ART will be used as genesis addresses.
2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 1000$ to invest in Altcoins long term, which one would you choose? on: August 30, 2017, 06:25:10 PM
1) NEO obviously, because it generates GAS (dividend), and because it can reach ETH levels within 6 to 9 months.
2) LTC is also a very smart investment, mostly because it will not fluctuate as much. I'm guessing it can reach triple digits within 2018, but I'd invest mostly because it's a stable coin.
3) Change, because it's an absolute game changer, it will allow you to pay anywhere in the world with your cryptos. Their ICO is planned for mid september.
2570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best upcoming ICO on: August 30, 2017, 06:06:10 PM
1) Artemine, a self mining genesis address coin designed to become the first genesis address marketplace. Not only will they do this, they'll also create the first ICO factory. As you may recall, Minereum has a token creation service, so ART will be the first ICO creation service, facilitating the process, walking besides it's older brother Minereum.

http://artemine.org/ArtemineWhitepaperDraft0.2.pdf

2) Change Bank, the first decentralized crypto bank. Check out their website here https://change-bank.com/ico/ , basically they'll allow anyone in the world to pay with crypto currency. This is a true game changer and I wasn't expecting this to happen in 2017. This will be massive, and will change the world.
2571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in September on: August 30, 2017, 05:45:36 PM
1) ARTEMINE, based on the minereum network. They will provide the very first genesis-address marketplace, meaning everyone can buy and sell self-mining addresses. This project will be huge, especially given their plans to get listed on a few high profile exchanges. A 1000% ROI within 1 month is definitely not out of bounds.

2) CHANGE BANK, the first decentralized crypto bank, will allow you to pay instantly with your cryptocoins. Changecoin will rise in value because it's a lot cheaper to convert your coins to changecoin. I believe 125.000.000 coins will be put into circulation. My prediction is a 10 billion marketcap within 2 years, meaning each coin will be valued at 80$. Each coin will be worth around 0.6$ at the start of the ICO, so this could be an incredible investment

Hi Everyone,

Just want to keep you all updated on the progress:

1. Artemine tests are on going and they are getting close to an end.

2. Artemine Team is working on setting up a company to handle the ICO based in Zug, Switzerland.

The ICO date is not certain yet since we have to wait for the company to be settled to proceed, but we are aiming somewhere in the first 2 weeks of September.

If any delays in the process we will inform.

More updates to come soon, stay tuned!
maybe Artemine can do some bounty campaign to let more members join the incoming ICO
I think this is good as well, some sig campaigns, twitter and fb campaigns, blog campaigns, youtube video campaigns, will greatly help the upcoming ICO.

Good idea by the way. Thus we easily will be able to draw more attention.

I'm a bit concerned about the timeline. This is going to need a lot more attention before the ICO if it wants to get somewhere

2 week left for ico and there is nothing on the table yet. It is concerning yes.

The ICO will probably happen at the end of the second week of september, and we'll probably get an announcement this friday or weekend. No need to worry, plus the fewer people know about the ICO, the more we can all buy during the first day
2573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potential x50-x100 coins let's discuss which one we think on: August 30, 2017, 01:34:13 PM
I'm currently very interested in 3 coins:
* NEO, obviously. I doubt it can reach 1000/coin (marketcap of 100 billion seems exaggerated), but 500/coin is definitely achievable, giving it a rise in value of about x15

* Minereum/Artemine: great concept of self-mining genesis addresses and a whole genesis-market platform built around it. You need MNE to buy ART, and every MNE spent on ART will be burned, so I'm expecting a decline in supply of 60-70%. This will boom the MNE price really hard, and with the expected arrival of the minereum world app, MNE will reach 50$ within this year. ART will be valued at the start of the ICO at about 0.05$, but it can reach 2$ really fast given it's low supply, booming it's price x40

* Change. Valued at around 0.6$ per CAG, change will be the best crypto bank in the world, and will facilitate the global crypto adoption really well. I believe we're looking at a future market cap of 5 billion, which would make each coin be worth 40$, giving it a potential rise in value of x75.

2575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Antshares/ NEO [NEO] on: August 29, 2017, 11:06:09 PM
For those affected by the upcoming Antshares web wallet shutdown, go to https://neo.org/download and download a web wallet app.
NEON is the easiest and fastest to use though it is technically a 3rd-party app supported by NEO.
NEO-GUI is the official app though it has several issues such as being slow AF and claiming GAS involves having to send your NEO to yourself in order to unlock them. Also, you DO NOT have to transfer your NEO to a new address.
You just have to import your address information using your private key.

Ty for this. Questions from a complete neo n00b:

1. neon wallet, I can claim GAS... I can do this at any time? Any advantage/disadvantage to claiming it when it says I can claim?

2. what is GAS? Is it worth anything to me?

Gas is basically the price you pay to make sure your transactions go as fast as they do in the neo network (or eth network). It's quite valuable, and will only go up in value as the neo/eth networks get more volume.

You shouldn't claim your gas right now, but hold it. Depending on how much neo you hold, your wallet will generate gas. My estimate is that you earn 1 GAS a month for every 100 neo you own. Let's say you hold 50 neo in your wallet. This means in 10 years you'll have generated 60 gas. Given that the gas prices will only go up (as a result of the expansion of crypto itself and the inevitable rise in volume on the neo network), you can be sure each GAS is worth over 100$, so you'll have made 6000$ by doing absolutely nothing.

I can tell you that 10 years from now I won't hold any of my NEO. I'm not interested in just watching it grow (IF). At one point in time, I'm going to cash in. And even if I do it now at $32/NEO, I will still gain 5x profit. I am good with that. But, I have no need for that money now, but I'm pretty sure that I won't have any in a year.

That was just an example, the only coin I invest in for the really long haul is IOTA, I expect NEO to reach 500$ within 3 - 5 years.

Are there actually any real names behind these projects? All devs anonymous? Don't get me wrong but I'm just suspicious about projects where devs dont show up with real names. Is there actually any base to artemine hype? Looks a bit scammy to me. I'm looking at these projects from safe distance.  Undecided

don't be so stress out. hope we will know after 2 weeks: Artemine team, company, artmine price, etc ...

Exactly, the devs are generally more quiet but they keep delivering what they promise. The ICO is scheduled for the beginning september, so i'm sure in a few days we'll find out everything there is to know about ART
2578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO SOON on: August 29, 2017, 09:29:17 AM

that's great news!! Question, let's say I buy 10.000 ART at the ICO. Do I end up with 10.000 coins, or will I get a genesis adress that mines 10.000 coins over the period of 60 years?

You will get a Genesis address that mines 10.000 coins over the period of 60 years.

I can't believe anyone in their right mind would choose an investment that takes 60 years, in a market that's barely 10 years old. if there's no way to buy ART in bulk up front, like any other coin, what's the purpose of investing? Ask yourself, would you rather get 20K ART now, each valued at 1$, or 1ART a day over the next 20.000 days, with no guarantees that ART will even be worth 0.01$ within 1 year?

i think than each one has its reasons to invest in art..i think on the contrary than this economic model is better..because it avoids the massive dump..you have an exemple in mne was stable has 1$ and can take value because coins are burned after token service.

Think about all these ico whose price has fallen below the price ico..it's less likely to happen with art.

each one want a best price to sell..for any reasons..with art you could put in sale the genesis address what wasn't possible with mne for technical reason.

i think also..like all invest this involves a share of risk..but i think less of other economic model..i know art is different of mne because it isn't a airdrop..i'm genesis holder and i want sell mne for good price but i do not want to harm investors..i prefer sell my mne for 8-10$ than sell it on an pump at 30$..because i hope mne will keep her value..coin will be burned..and investor will do a profit with art when it will valued 1/1000 of eth..i think its a good deal for all.

We're talking about 60 years here. In a period of 40 years, our technology evolved from a game with 2 dots douncing a 3rd dot between them, to hyperrealistic virtual reality open world games. Where do you think this market (barely 10 years old) will end up in 6 years, let alone 60? I understand everyone has other reasons to invest, but if ART will only be available through genesis addresses, this project will tank. I'm sure ART will be purchasable in bulk eventually, as otherwise there would be no incentive to buy a genesis address, I just hope it will possible during the ICO.

Utilizing your analogy, I guess fuck those early adopters that started mining BTC back in 09/10. I wonder what those dumbasses were thinking.

apples and oranges, and btw i've noticed you always type in bold letters, that really doesn't add any value to your statements

East Asia’s “Ghost Month” Scare May Explain Flat Trading in Certain Altcoins

The digital currencies NEO, OmiseGo and TenX are experiencing slight or no movement during trading as of late August 2017 when compared to previous weeks or months. Such a situation is believed to be due to the start of the “Ghost Month” in countries where most of these cryptocurrencies are headquartered and whose investors are mainly based.

In 2017, the Ghost Month runs from Aug. 22 to Sept. 19. The countries which have a “ghost month” include China, which is the base of NEO, Japan, which is the home nation of OmiseGo, and Singapore, which is the headquarters of TenX. People in these countries have a belief that it is a particularly bad time to invest in anything during the month.

Annually, traders in the stock market in these countries take extreme precaution when it comes to their investments during the month of August, as it is typically the ‘worst’ month, CNBC reports.

"In fact, many stock market traders are also advised not to invest into anything with their money during this month as it is considered bad luck."

Hungry ghost
Based on traditions in China, particularly amongst Buddhists and Taoists, the Festival of the Hungry Ghost happens during the 7th month of the year.

During the event, it is believed that the gates of hell are opened and the spirits living there go out and roam the earth.

According to superstition, everyone should focus on celebrating or honoring the spirits that are visiting the earth during this time.

"Coincidentally, most cryptocurrencies with heavy investors are mainly from Asia, and the trading performances of the three digital currencies are generally flat, with the situation is expected to continue until the “Ghost Month” passes."

A slow month does not necessarily equate to a stock or a cryptocurrency’s intrinsic value. In fact, many long term holders may take advantage of such a situation to slowly accumulate while prices are down.

Thanks for this article, it is very informative.
Weird that some ICO (Red Pulse) will take place in this period, don't you think?

That was exactly my thought. Since they are based in China, you'd think they choose a date a little earlier or later to start their ICO.

Their ICO is basically a lottery, so chances are a lot of participants will be western.

Next month, NEO will reach at least $60 for sure.

From where the conviction?

A few NEO-based ICO's on their way that will boost up the volume. Also, august is generally not the best month to invest, as a lot of asian cultures link august to bad luck or something
