Bitcoin is a currency that was originally designed to facilitate anonymous, instantaneous, and low-cost cross-border transactions. Its decentralized blockchain network allows users to transact anonymously, which protects them from fraud. Additionally, Bitcoin transactions are irreversible and encrypted on a shared digital ledger that ensures transparency in financial transactions.

While Bitcoin works to keep you safe and secure online, not everybody protects their cryptocurrency the same way. In fact, according to data from Chainalysis, about 20% of all Bitcoins that have disappeared have been lost permanently due to theft.

So, It is difficult to recover stolen Bitcoin. But as the blockchain is a public record of all Bitcoin transactions ever made. though it is possible to track the trail of the stolen cryptocurrency by monitoring the blockchain. However, even that is not an easy feat due to the anonymity of crypto. Besides, crypto scammers and hackers often use sophisticated tools to hide their spoils and identities and cash out the funds before victims can get to them.

2582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do Your Own Research - What Does it really mean on: September 28, 2022, 03:17:49 PM
One very good friend once taught me: If something confuses you at first sight, then you should listen to your intuition. Whether you're new or not, the fact that skepticism outweighs trust speaks directly to the fact that the project may turn out to be a scam. And of course, all the flags that concern the team and the white document also play a role. But keep in mind that just because everything looks very nice and promises big profits, this does not mean that this will continue in the future.
In a word, look for cons, and if there are a lot of them, just leave.
2583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give me link or Guider how to SIGNED MESSAGE BITCOIN on: September 28, 2022, 11:31:42 AM
Any one have ideas how to signed message trough Ethereum Network? my friend used metamask address for post proof on several bounties campaign.

Being able to sign a message from an eth address that has been posted on this forum should suffice, there's no point in writing the binance's bitcoin address.
Btw, if signing an ether address is considered valid on this forum then your friend is in luck, I hardly found anyone ever using this method for account recovery.

If the OP can use Google Translate, then I can suggest reading this thread, which clearly describes how a user was able to recover an account on this forum using an ETH address. His account was also hacked, and he didn't have any messages containing a Bitcoin address, but the recovery team helped him save the account after signing from a different address.

2584  Economy / Reputation / Re: Controversies surrounding account connection on: September 28, 2022, 11:19:27 AM

I have seen this image more than once in the forum. I tried zooming the image to read from the laptop but it was blured. What is the post behind this image? A group of account farmers? If yes, how sure are we?
I have seen and being in this kind of formation before, you will know this formation if you visit code camps. Who knows they were misrepresented?

This photo is better suited for alternative accounts, which clearly state that one person is sitting behind multiple accounts, rather than a family of all relatives and a cat.

And just the first time the photo with the farmers was published, it was like a sarcastic image of another lie by another cheater that he "works" with the whole family.
2585  Economy / Reputation / Re: Choice of Username and people's perception on: September 28, 2022, 11:03:49 AM

This is correct and I have seen where some users said it.

Are you kidding again? But I didn't write about a typo, like? It was done intentionally. I wrote that the nickname generator offered me several options, and I really didn’t care, since I was not going to linger here. Yes, and now I don't give a damn.
If you still don’t believe that people sometimes don’t care what their nicknames are, then look at the bounty hunters, especially when accounts are registered in large numbers. Again, the nickname generator works with some letters inserted for uniqueness. Grin
2586  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic effect of people flying from RF mandatory conscription on: September 27, 2022, 06:44:42 AM
The news that is now showing hundreds of Russian guys fleeing their country to avoid mobilization is overblown. Although I am aware that many young men have arrived in my country in recent days, this is a negligible proportion. Polls show that these are people who are engaged in IT technologies, and just by staying in another country, they will not change anything for themselves. While working remotely, they still continue to work in Russia.
Among other things, Russia should have the composition of its army, and, frankly, I don’t understand why civilians are mobilized when the number of military and trained people is huge.
As for the impact on the economy, I doubt that those who leave will be able to influence it in any way.
2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can whitepaper still shows the weakness of a project and their team on: September 27, 2022, 05:23:56 AM
If the idea is copied, and it also happens that team members are copied, or fake photos are added to team photos, to which the organizers later explain that fake photos are for privacy, all this suggests that this is a scam.
At the same time, copying, and even a partial change, speak only of the impending scam. It happened many times. To collect money from future investors, scammers do not disdain anything, add strangers to the team, and copy other people's ideas.
2588  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: September 26, 2022, 04:50:02 PM
Education is completely different from country to country. And as time shows that the initial level of education, this period from 7 years to 17 gives only general education, in no case related to professions. This is followed by several more years of study, which is a six-year period where a person must obtain a profession. Do all countries act this way? And with the very initial education, it is necessary to motivate and educate children to a correct understanding of life, namely, that nothing in the world will be given for free, and in order to make your life successful, you must study diligently and adhere to all moral principles.
A person who enters life with a higher education has a much better chance of getting a good job than someone who only went to school to pass the time.
It has always been. For the one who tries, his chances of success are much higher, and everything that a person receives from life is the fruit of his own hands.
2589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead (read more) on: September 26, 2022, 06:19:47 AM
OP, are you awake to tell us about this? The flag created by nullius about your mental state clearly indicates that you are suffering from some kind of mania. Therefore, the treatment that you should not deal with cryptocurrencies at all will suit you for sure. If you step back from that, you won't have to worry about bitcoin life or any of the activities that you regularly think about.
2590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful when lodging into any hotel on: September 26, 2022, 05:53:12 AM
If you are so sure that they have nothing on you then walking away from trouble is the best, I will like to know which country you are from but I guess you aren't ready to discol that, if I were in your show I will at least report to the police just in case, but since you are sure of your actions well no problem.

You should be more careful to read what people write above. The OP clearly wrote that he is from an African country.
OP, did you have a good amount of money in your wallet so that the hotel management could risk their name for her? In addition, you write that you came to the room and were very tired. Could this work against you? Your wife could be inattentive and make some mistakes, and using public Wi-Fi, I think, could also play a cruel joke on you.
I was the one who got their social media passwords stolen while using public Wi-Fi. Since then, I prefer not to trust them.

2592  Economy / Reputation / Re: Controversies surrounding account connection on: September 25, 2022, 01:37:59 PM
Your illustrative example clearly shows that these accounts violate the rules of certain companies, namely, all of them, join the bounty, in which there is a ban on the participation of alternative accounts. Where do you see here transactions in one wallet or exchange between them?
A blind person will also notice that all these accounts operate strictly according to the set parameters, these are not just a few people, these are the most common bots.
And yes, the forum allows you to have multiple alternative accounts, but not everyone who wants to milk the forum has a sense of proportion, and this is what causes concern.
2593  Other / Meta / Re: Tables of users with the most merits earned (more than 1500 merits) on: September 25, 2022, 01:10:56 PM
Good work OP.

Suggestion
So far only merit received are used, merit airdrops not included. Can you just include people that receive 10000 merits too? It is not easy for people to rank up on this forum like that, but easy for some people.

The one who got 10,000 merits is the one you can see in the first column, isn't it obvious?
In addition, the search for the person you are interested in will not take much time if, indeed, as Lucius writes, you pay attention to the site where this person has been listed for a long time.

https://bpip.org/Report?r=earnedmerit

And    fillippone will be the one who received 10,000 merits after the merit system was implemented. My applause.

2595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto- If he ever made himself known what would make you believe it? on: September 25, 2022, 06:28:18 AM
Quote
So many folks have tried to claim they are him. Not that I really think that he will ever make his identity known to the world, but if he does say on his deathbed or something, how would Satoshi go about doing so? IF he did want people to know who he was whenever he became ready to do it, how would he do it in a way that everyone could believe him?

People will believe him in the following ways:
• through his personal details because there are Satoshi details people will see in the community or in the court to believe that he is the real Satoshi.
• through his bitcointalk account, people will believe him because they believe that it is only the owner of the account or his wife can have access to that particular Satoshi bitcointalk account.
Quote
From what I have observed, any person who has come forward and declared themselves Satoshi has not had sufficient proof that they are. So, if we were to discuss this, what would suffice as sufficient proof that they are in fact the real Satoshi?
His real personal details is what people that claim to be Satoshi has failed to present to public that made them to disgrace themselves to the whole world, because the real Satoshi has all the evidence to be the founder of Bitcoin , which is the personal details that will make people to believe that he is the right Satoshi the world is looking for to appreciate for his good work.

What personal data are you talking about? Why Satoshi should have his real name? He simply cannot have his real name because he is a stickler for privacy. Besides the fact that so much time has passed, I still think that if Satoshi, being a very smart person, and having the desire to show himself one day, he could do it. And not only by signing messages from his address, he probably had a lot of evidence about which we do not yet know.
However, revealing one's identity means moving away from the idea of Bitcoin. Remaining anonymous, Satoshi shows an example of what he originally intended.
2596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All I need to teach my employees about Bitcoin on: September 25, 2022, 06:02:57 AM
Start with everything you know. If you understand enough what you want from your employees, show them the simplest example of what their responsibilities are. Practice is always the best lesson. Learning fully bitcoin, in my opinion, is a completely different task. It also comes from the interest of your employees, whether they need this knowledge or not.
For you, the moment of performing the work that you require should definitely be important; everything else should not lie only on your shoulders. Employee initiative will always be the best assistant.
2597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The First Bullish & Bearish Market I Met. on: September 25, 2022, 05:37:43 AM
I knew about bitcoin from its very inception but did not take seriously the fact that one could buy and hold it. Although at that time I had a job on the network, after the Liberty Reserve was closed, I was offered to pay in bitcoins. Unfortunately, I refused, since everything was new, and after the disappointment of losing one currency, I asked to pay in PayPal.
Subsequently, I came across this forum, and it was a bull market, but I managed to buy some coins, not understanding what market I was in, and of course, after me, there awaited a bear market that turned my investments into dust.
The experience we gain teaches us to be careful. Now I adhere to the policy of buying little by little, making certain calculations that I do not mind losing.
2598  Economy / Reputation / Re: Total time logged in: 1 days, 14 minutes. on: September 25, 2022, 05:00:31 AM
Having gotten to this forum by accident, I was literally magnetized by it. But yes, even getting here, I started the wrong way. Reading the bounty posts, I thought for a while that I had found a goldmine. But after realizing in a few months that all bounty projects are the most common scam, I began to expose such projects actively. At the same time, while reading posts on the forum, I became so involved in bitcoin that now every morning and evening I end and begin with this forum.
2599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top mistakes of newbies in crypto on: September 23, 2022, 03:15:20 PM
It is always important where newbies to get information about investments. There is hope that if they draw information here on the forum, reading and correct analysis will save them from mistakes. But the forum is not as popular as social networks, where very tempting offers for getting rich quickly with cryptocurrency are published. Therefore, the person who has an analytical mindset simply will not believe one source promising quick money; he will double-check everything several times. Another will definitely make several of his mistakes due to his greed or inattention, after which he will only gain experience and correct his thinking; otherwise, he will need a few more life lessons. But be that as it may, one's own analysis or own experience will help a person stay in the crypto if the acquisition of knowledge comes first.
2600  Economy / Reputation / Re: Choice of Username and people's perception on: September 23, 2022, 06:54:04 AM
When registering on a crypto forum, today's newbies often use the word "crypto" in their nicknames, and this already indicates that people understand where they are. But many came to the forum just out of curiosity, registered in order to be able to communicate, and did not think about their nicknames. My nickname was created by the most common generator. Five options were offered, and I just chose the one that I have now by typing. It didn't seem to me like anything reprehensible if I chose this nickname; moreover, I did not expect to be on the forum for a long time. But everything turned out differently, and I practically abandoned all other forums, giving preference to this one.
By the way, OP, there is a topic on funny nicknames. You can read it; I think it might be interesting for you.
