2581  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 218 blocks solved! on: November 22, 2016, 10:07:19 AM
Hello CK, we discuss in the German forum to make a "run" with 20 PHs for one day. We would buy by Nicehash and Miningrentals.

- would it be better to go to the German or American CKPoolServer?
- could you keep an eye on your servers in this time?
- do you have any tips we should consider?

PS: for all interstinged peaplepeople, i will post the link if the topic will start, so every one can join...

Best regards
Willi
US server is more capable and faster, I recommend you use that. Of course I'll keep an eye on it Wink

2583  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: November 21, 2016, 02:25:55 AM
It would not be smart to not implement SegWit if/when it becomes part of the mainnet.
Why? Segwit brings many improvements to Bitcoin that we need, including scaling. Many wallets have or are in the process of implementing segwit.
Look closer. That was a double negative.

I thought it was 40 before that. Well, any value will do, people love finding associations where there are none.

Got a good chuckle outta that one, Con...that's a concept I had a helluva time getting my grad school students to grasp in Research Methods. Applies everywhere.  Cool
In that case you'll get a kick out of this site:
http://tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations
It might even teach people about the alleged hashrate luck correlation of this pool too.

I am waiting for block. Last 2 weeks pool is so unlucky.  Angry
Dunno what you're talking about. Overall pool luck has been very close to average for quite a while.

I always get bored when the pool goes above 30-31

We get less blocks and the block payment plummets

sorry but that's my reality

More than happy to be awakened by a new reality that includes a proportionate amount of blocks with higher hash.
30? What Huh
It was around 35 last time someone came up with comments about a hash rate jump above that bringing bad luck Tongue
I wonder how low it would have to go before that idea disappears ... hopefully wont happen ... ... ...

2588  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Taking over the network? on: November 16, 2016, 01:11:22 AM
Isn't this discussed many times ?

I fail to understand why open the same topic over again.
Because there are always new users to bitcoin, just like there are always sigspammers like yourself posting useless posts like yours to increase their post count.

I want to know what makes them special enough to get that premium price.
While the avalon hardware is popular with the pool operator here, I think your question is veering way offtopic for the pool thread itself.

usb antminer u1 x10 code anu
drilbit 1.5ghs x2       code drb
bitfury 5.5ghs x6     code bxm
others i cant remember but have code AMU x1 ,code BXM  and code BX1 and some AU3

current average hash speed 55.37ghs
It's probably because you're using so many different varied devices. If the memory plateaus and stops rising then that's to be expected. If it keeps rising every day then that's unexpected and inappropriate. If that happens, remove one type of device at a time and see which one was responsible for the memory rising. Most likely there's nothing wrong, it's just cached ram usage.

good afternoon everybody

I have a concern about  cgminer ver 4.9.2

i run it, and after a day or so it shows as using over 1000 meg or ram memory

currently it has been running 9 hours and taskmaster is showing 285.6 meg of memory used

is this normal or
What driver are you using? There are no known memory leaks as such.

WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385)

from zadig 2.1.2

it is now at 430.7 meg

also how do you post pics for here?

What driver...? As in what hardware are you mining with?

The question was already answered. Locking thread to prevent sigspammers from saying the same thing over and over to increase their post counts.
2595  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Need help with a project - mimic network latency through cgminer on: November 15, 2016, 04:18:17 AM
It's much simpler than it appears. Blocks come on average every 10 minutes, or 600 seconds. If your latency is 1 second, your stale rate from network latency alone is 1/600.
2596  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Need help with a project - mimic network latency through cgminer on: November 15, 2016, 01:07:48 AM
Just as a quick heads up to save you the time, miner performance in terms of hashrate is completely unaffected by network latency - only your stale share count will go up.

renting this many hash is likely more than the 12.5 BTC reward...
It ALWAYS costs more to rent hash than the expected reward from it.
