Of course hacks and robberies will happen. Security is not that much developed. Although it develops super fast. I do not see any reason it would give bad name to crypto. It does not. But those that use crypto need to be aware of it and extra cautious. |

I don't understand why we can't call what happened bull neither, I mean we have moved from 3.4k at bottom this year to 13.8k at peak , how is that not a bull? The notion that "there is no bull market, bitcoin will go down" is quite wrong because bull already happened didn't it?
We had one of longest uptrend of bitcoin price in history of Bitcoin. Five straight positive months.  Problem is that some people will just never be satisfied. If we would have 10 positive month they will start complain after one negative month. |

Considering all that happened in past weeks. That so many people believe we are at brink of new financial crisis you dont think that is super good for Bitcoin long term? To my understanding people deposit money into banks and the banks use that money to give out loans. But with Bitcoin everyone is essentially their own bank, meaning there wouldn’t be anyone to give out traditional loans. My question is where would people go to get loans in a Bitcoin economy and how might those loans work?
There will be always people taking loans and giving them. There is part for this forum for that. Nothing will change with Bitcoin. But first rule of taking a loan is that you need to take it in currency where yo have income. So you only take loan in Bitcoin if you get salary paid in Bitcoin. |

This is bad for Chipmixer. If the authority decided to investigate on this and targeted Chipmixer to shutdown regardless of the investigation, they can easily do it since they have a proof in their hand that a mixing service had been used to launder a hacked BTC. I wonder why Chipmixer did not suspend those transactions.., Did they failed to track that those BTC were hacked?
It will not be first one taken down and organizers get big penalties. This can happen to anything that have central point of failure. Even cryptocurencies that uses coinjoin to make their transactions opaque. |

Thank you for the update Febo,,, I did not quite understand everything and I never really have, although I think the 2-3 years estimate is a good one for practical terms. And in fact we will probably end up doing it faster, but I feel mostly will depends on the existing network of users.

This article talks about the possibility of BTC rising in the coming months to record levels if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.
For sure BTC would be of more of the demand, but I dont see brexit as a huge reason fro Bitcoins price increase. But it is a small push and there are many such small pushes that will push price over $100k in next few years. |

in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.
There is no logic why would coin A value increase just because coin B value increase. Yes a bit is logical but not 100% I dont really understand your point. A coin has this much value. If another coin makes some breakout that dont my this coin more valuable. Is that not logical? We are close to economic collapse. People are buying Gold and are buying Bitcoin as a hedge. Why would they go buy dentacoin? Dentacoin usecase is whatever it is. It is not a store of value. |

Yesterdays last talk was of Sarang and he mostly talked of future. It had bad audio first half but apparently there is another camera and when they will sort talks in separate videos it will be fine. Anyway CLSAG will be most likely in spring upgrade. Then the next upgrade will be one of the rest. Research paper of most of them come out only few months ago. So for the one we will decide it will take 2-3 years to implement. And maybe something else might come around.  |

It can survive under 0.0002 BTC per coin. Why not? I dont see any reason why not. There will be less miners since they will switch to other coins. Cryptocurrencies are super resilient. They can survive a lot. Yes there will be less development, but that is it. If Etehreum is useful for something then development will pick up again 5 years from now. It is simple. |
