I grew up with guns, was in the 4-H trap and skeet league in High School and still go shooting with my Dad and Uncle every time I visit.

There are rational, valid arguments on both sides of the gun debate.  There are also irrational, invalid arguments on both sides of the gun debate.  Like the one you just made, for example.

Marist also just released two FL polls showing Trump +1 in Fl in and dead heat on the other with Latinos supporting Trump 51%.

I assume it's the Miami/Tampa Cubans that are swinging the hispanic vote like you said.  Another thing to consider though is that the Cuban population is generally older and make more money than other minorities (aside from asians probably).

I wonder if his decision to tighten sanctions on Cuba are viewed as a good or bad thing by American Cubans in general.  I assumed bad, but these polls are making me second guess.

I've got nothing but respect for you around here from the times we've crossed paths over the years, so don't take any of this as me being a troll or dick head or personal attack.  Just honest questions and opinions that I'm totally capable of changing.

I don't think there's anything wrong with disagreeing with the constitution.  If anything, the freedom to openly challenge your own government and if enough people agree create actual change is a more clear foundation than the 2A.

I also just think it's too vague.  There are valid interpretations on both sides of the gun debate - not saying the 2A is worthless, but it's def worth less than if it were more explicit and took into consideration the weapons we can produce today rather than 250 years ago.


A route is different than just being able to save up the money have go out and buy 'anything' though.

What's a step up from automatic weapons?  RPGs? Bazookas?  Large ammounts of explosive material....biological/chemical/nuclear weapons?  There's gotta be a line somewhere right?

This is the first 'legalize machine guns' argument I've come across.

Are they pricing them out simply by banning any automatics produced post 1980's, or is there some other system pushing up the price? Unless the law is repealed, they'll all be obsolete in what, a few decades?  100 years? 

I'm no expert obv, but I feel like spending $10k on a 1986 machine gun is really just for fun and anyone that owns one is going to grab something else in pretty much any situation that doesn't involve entertainment.

No need to tell people to pipe down about provably fair (yes that's what you're saying when you tell someone 'then don't play the games that aren't') , nothing wrong with speaking up and bringing attention to issue.  Nobody knows that better than stunna.

This isn't some thinly veiled criticism of stake either.  You can respect their business and they're decision and at the same time be vocal about provably fair and decisions surrounding it.

That's all he'd have to say.  Or tweet.  And if it didn't go away quickly, he'd just start repeating himself several times a day until the tapes were thought of as the 'phony tapes' or something.

He's been caught lying with irrefutable proof plenty of times before, it works.

Even if it reduces his chances at winning the election?

All he has to do is say it's fake news, regardless of any evidence, and everyone that's been conditioned to dismiss any claims by journalists or political opponents will believe him. That's a lot of people.

This doesn't make it not true.  If the allegations made trump look good, they'd be 'advocated by the Republicans'.  These ones make him look bad, so they're being 'advocated by the Democrats'.

If a journalist came out and made the same claims about Biden, the same would be true the other way around.



This defense has been used for every single book that's been published about Trump that was less than flattering.  And there have been many.  Just because someone is trying to increase their book sales doesn't mean the stuff in the book is fabricated and it certainly isn't proof that it's not true.

If you consider the things that Trump has said on the record about Obama and Veterans, and his history of claiming things are fake news that end up being verified as real, neither allegation is all that much of a stretch.
