262  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Silkscreen-on-Durable Vinyl 3.5-inch Bitcoin-Logo Stickers on: August 01, 2013, 03:03:04 PM
I've paid to have these printed up so I could share them (inexpensively) with others.

They're professionally silkscreen-printed on durable vinyl stickers, and are suitable for outdoor and indoor use.

You can see them on my website, http://shop.welikebtc.com/.  All sales in BitCoin and I will send them anywhere in the world.  All stickers ship out within 12-24 hours of payment confirmation.

Glad to see this product, as I imagine this will be much more durable outdoors and more vibrant than the digitally-printed stickers that many are selling. Is this the same sticker offered on CryptoAnarchy.com?

::purchased from CryptoAnarchy.com::

The USD equivalent price did vary between my blockchain.info wallet and the Bitpay checkout. Is this a normal thing due to the fluctuation of BTC? Not complaining, more interested for future reference than anything else.

Thanks and I'm looking forward to this keychain! I'm very particular about what I keep on my keychain (recently Kickstarted a metal minimalist keychain wallet). I've been wanting something round (and coinlike?), can't stand the car loyalist keychains they've been selling at the carwash gift shops for 20 years. This will be perfect.

Thanks so much! I really wanted to make a coin-like keychain, and I'm glad that my sensibility resonates with others. I attached a photo of the keychain looking very coin-like.

I haven't researched exactly how BitPay and Blockchain.info calculate the exchange rate, but I think Blockchain is showing you a rate based on the exact current price (possibly the last trade on a particular exchange?), whereas I believe BitPay factors in some longer price averages and weights the prices at multiple exchanges (reducing volatility a bit). BitPay seems like a very trustworthy company with very fair policies, so whatever the explanation is for the different rates, I'm sure it's solid.

Please let me know if you're happy with the keychain, and if you get it promptly from cryptoanarchy.com

Thanks!

Still looking for more sites to add

Can you add:
print4bitcoin.com - services include design and printing.

Last week I would have asked you to add bkeychain.com too, but we just stopped our internal fulfillment for the time being (right now the only BTC-accepting site selling our two-sided brass-plated keychain is cryptoanarchy.com, so please add them if they haven't already been mentioned in this thread).

Our Bitcoin Keychains (as well as Jon Waller's model, and other great Bitcoin Collectibles) are now available at CryptoAnarchy.com!

CryptoStart.com

A few colleagues and I started CryptoStart.com as our way to give back to the crypto-community. We bring the many new cryptocurrency/Bitcoin startups across the web, to one convenient place. The website is not for profit, no obligation, and free to featured site owners. That means theres no ads, hidden agendas or "affiliate marketing." If you have any questions, or would like to have your site featured, feel free to send an email or PM.

Not sure if I'm being dense, but I don't get what your are doing. What service are you providing? And is it for startup companies that are based on crypto currencies, or for people actually starting new crypto currencies?
267  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you think of our page all4btc.com? Order on amazon and ebay with btc on: July 25, 2013, 01:05:42 PM
I'm curious, who does eBay and Amazon think they are selling to? Does it all go through your buyer accounts?

I wanted to let people know that these Bitcoin keychains will be available soon at CryptoAnarchy.com!

I put one keychain on eBay, the auction ends in a couple of hours. It's current bid is $4.99 (+ $2.07 standard U.S. shipping).

Just got my keychain, and I have to say nice job on these!
I'm really happy to hear that, thanks for posting!

Today was my neighbor's birthday, and I gave him a paper wallet, funded with .25 BTC, and a Bitcoin keychain (sort of a cobbled-together, poor-man's .25 Casascius). I like to promote the idea of giving Bitcoin for birthdays and other occasions, when a gift is typically called for. I figure it helps spread Bitcoin awareness, and who knows, perhaps that little gift of BTC will end up being quite valuable in years to come!

what would you like to see in terms of transparency?

I was just agreeing with the transparency as you presented it, to increase user confidence in your new service. Would be good if you could get more feedback, maybe some people prefer the idea of privacy.

A question is, are there any reputable retailers that are accepting bitcoin as payment now?  I'm still new to bitcoin and haven't seen it used in commercial-level transactions.  Mostly P2P like-kind trades, and of course, Silk Road.
Sure, plenty of reputable people accept Bitcoin in business! There's even a doctor who has made quite a name for himself accepting Bitcoin. I've accepted Bitcoin payment for print work and for Bitcoin Keychains. I've done so online and in person. There are a lot of ways to accept Bitcoin, and you may want to think about if you want to keep it in Bitcoin, or use a service (like BitPay) to allow you to accept Bitcoin from patrons, but have it deposited into your bank account in dollars (just like a credit card processor, but with lower fees). Feel free to PM if you have specific questions, I'll give you any tips I can.

Looking forward to seeing some of you this evening.    Smiley
Good to meet you last night, sorry I had to leave early. Do you have a URL for your new Bitcoin shirts your making?

Oh, and I loved the guest you brought, please thank her again for the beer and good company!

Received this beautiful keychain yesterday.

Thanks bitpappa.

Thank you!!!
275  Economy / Collectibles / Re: A new 2-sided Bitcoin Keychain on: July 16, 2013, 09:32:35 PM
Yes, I am using Bitpay. I didn't go through with the order since the first screen showed the sum without shipping, but perhaps it will all be clear if I click through it. I'll catch some sleep first and then perhaps I can think straight. This Bitcoin thing is bad for my circadian rhythm.
Yeah, the built-in checkout with BitPay is lacking. I was hoping to get by without having to research and implement a 3rd party cart, but it may end up being the way to go. BitPay seems to push using 3rd party carts, as they work on getting their built-in cart refined.

Anyway, I'm not about to run out of keychains today, so take your time. I also think people are concerned because they are sending Bitcoin, and that seems so irreversible. But I, my business, and BitPay are all reputable and looking to provide customer satisfaction. So if you pay and realize something isn't right, just reach out using the contact page.

Just bought one!
An order came in just a couple minutes after this post, so I assume it's yours. Your order will be mailed today!
277  Economy / Collectibles / Re: A new 2-sided Bitcoin Keychain on: July 16, 2013, 06:34:50 PM
Sorry, I'm too stupid for this. If I click the buy buttom I am quoted the price without shipping. Do I need to manually add the price for shipping and how do I do that?
You're not stupid, it's a bit confusing in some places. Are you using the Bitcoin/Bitpay checkout? Can you tell me where you're getting stuck?

You don't have to add the shipping price manually, your shipping price should be added and visible before you get to your final checkout.

Feel free to email me (see the contact page on the site) if you are having continued trouble. We could also just email back and forth to get me the shipping info I need, and send you an address to pay (if you're paying with BTC).

Thanks!

btw, question regarding privacy vs transparency.

The goal is to be as transparent as possible to increase confidence. I'd like everyone to basically be able to deposit into their address, and allow their transactions to be tracked via blockchain. However, that might create privacy problems as addresses might be monitored. Would you guys prefer all funds to go through a central wallet before being redistributed in order to obscure individual transactions?
If people really want privacy, couldn't they take steps themselves to try to hide their tracks? In which case, being transparent might be the way to go, and those wishing to privacy can figure out ways to be more private.

(I have zero experience at trying to be private with Bitcoin transactions, so my apologies if I'm oversimplifying it.)
279  Economy / Collectibles / Re: A new 2-sided Bitcoin Keychain on: July 12, 2013, 09:12:04 PM
the keychains look awesome
Thanks! And I did get them listed on CoinGig, for anyone interested in buying with BTC, and having the safety of escrow!

I just updated the site, and added international shipping options, so hopefully that will help a few people who asked me when that would happen:

http://bkeychain.com

I'm sure there will be more site tweaking and possibly adjustments to shipping prices, but I didn't want to keep those waiting in other countries waiting too long. The size of the keychains makes them just a bit expensive to ship internationally.

If your interested in combining physical coin with bitcoin check out casacius bitcoins:  https://www.casascius.com/

You can find some of these on ebay, just make sure you know if the bitcoin portion has been stripped out or not.

/cet
I've found BitcoinTalk seller Nightowlace (in USA) has much lower Casascius prices than I've see on eBay, and he's very reputable, ships very quickly, sends you package tracking info right away, etc. (see all the good comments on the thread, including some from me!). Only problem is his stock is running low!
