261  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Open source MtGOX PHP API Class on: February 04, 2012, 10:46:04 PM
This is excellent, just ran thru the code and really nice work.

I will point this to people who ask us for help with the Gox API.
Thanks, doesn't seem to be getting much attention amazingly enough, even though I always see people asking about using the MtGOX API...
Also does anyone know if I would be able to add a link to my API on https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/MtGox/API ?
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: MtGox trading api on: January 28, 2012, 02:18:30 PM
Yeah, as Fordy said: https://mtgox.com/settings/apps-and-api
Create a new API key, and you'll need both the "key" and the "secret".
If you're doing anything for a website, I have an opensource API in PHP for mtgox that should make this extremely easy to use their API.
Link is in my signature.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Upgrading Bitcoin From 0.5.1 to 0.5.2 on: January 28, 2012, 02:15:37 PM
Simple answer: Yes. You install 0.5.2 as an upgrade, just make sure you close Bitcoin first, and back up your wallet.dat in %appdata%\Bitcoin on windows, or ~/.bitcoin on linux.
264  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Open source MtGOX PHP API Class on: January 28, 2012, 02:07:31 PM
I'm surprised nobody has replied yet...
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Kamikaze on: January 26, 2012, 04:04:04 PM
the script switches at times to zero probability of winning.

Please explain. He show us the MD5 hash of the solution before the start and the proof at the end of the game. How can he change the mine position during the game?

Exactly... though it seems when I play free play, I get to *5 every time, but when I go for 0.01BTC or 0.05, I usually get a really good chance of losing on my first go o_O. e.g. I click block 3 for start, I die. So I try block 4, I die, I go back to block 3, I die again. Had that happen several times...which is why I've lost like 2BTC to it so far...
266  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: January 25, 2012, 10:50:31 PM
I love how bootstrap is taking over the internet...
Anyway, I love this compared to blockexplorer, it looks great, it's a lot more functional, and it's a lot faster it seems.
This is GREAT work, I hope it continues to be the greatest block explorer site Smiley
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'invalid address', forced upgrade on: January 25, 2012, 10:45:11 PM
I've never noticed that message... I've ran 0.5.0.6 for a while, and only upgraded to 0.5.0.7 because I felt like it.
268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Kamikaze on: January 25, 2012, 10:37:34 PM
Nice ref. link you got there Tongue
Yeah, I thought that was against the terms of the forum?

Pretty sure it says "Referal link SPAM" Meaning if I'm shoving it everywhere in hopes of grabbing someone, but no, this isn't really spamming the link.
269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bitcoin Kamikaze on: January 25, 2012, 10:18:32 PM
How much have you guys lost to Bitcoin Kamikaze so far?
I started out with a 0.5 deposit... going up from 0.05 bets at a time, jumped to 0.25 at a time and eventually got to 3BTC, thought I was a smart-ass and tried 0.5 at a time and then lost it all.
I threw in another two 0.5 deposits... both ended with terrible luck...mostly losses...
So that's 1.5BTC loss from me so far...I wish I took that 3BTC when I had the chance o_O...
270  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANNOUNCE] Open source MtGOX PHP API Class on: January 25, 2012, 08:09:39 PM
I've been using this class I built for a while, so I thought I'd release it to the bitcoin community as I haven't really saw many others like this:
https://github.com/Someguy123/MtGOX-PHP-API

Feel free to try it out, if you find any problems, just post in this thread here, or let me know on IRC: irc.freenode.org #bitcoin-otc #bitcoin - someguy123

Code:
Donations are accepted:
BTC: 1SoMGuYknDgyYypJPVVKE2teHBN4HDAh3
LTC: LSomguyTSwcw3hZKFts4P453sPfn4Y5Jzv
LQC: vbh3c3nCdWCnBq7gDNrJeXSt8WMg9Y64x8
NMC: N5omEguYDarGmHt2R23DFvkXYU49yPAAKN

If the class has helped you in any way, please donate to any of the addresses above ^ even a bitcent is fine :)

NOTE: This class is still using Version 0 of the MtGOX API, this means it could be deprecated at any time, but works right now as of 26/07/2012 despite the API changes

Hah, It's accessible here in the UK though Smiley
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Ever had bitcoins fly out of your wallet without you actually sending them? on: January 23, 2012, 10:20:16 PM
Well, today I had something worrying happen to me, I saw 3.6BTC get sent from my bitcoin client without me doing anything, which ended with me tracing IP's linked to the address, googling the address and everything.
The answer is, I couldn't figure it out, BUT I was thinking that I might have redeemed one of my addresses privkeys into mtgox... Even though there was no signs anywhere in mtgox, eventually after 6 confirms it showed up.
So tl;dr; If you see bitcoins disappear from your wallet... you might wanna check your mtgox...especially if you've ever redeemed your privkey there.

273  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling MTGox Code grabber IRC Bot on: January 22, 2012, 02:07:53 PM
Nobody want to buy it...? Going down to 0.5BTC, may go less...
274  Other / Off-topic / I hate paypal. on: January 21, 2012, 08:04:55 AM
If anyone here is from the bitcoin-OTC IRC channel, you've probably heard me a million times, but here's my story:
Just thought I'd say, paypal are assholes, I got into a dispute for what I thought at first was a chargeback from someone I sold BTC to, but nope, infact after the disputes were over, I saw that they were labeled as "MIP Investigation" meaning Multi-Item Purchase. Sure I can understand them locking my account over a few more transactions than normal... BUT the worst part is, it took 14 days to get any sort-of reply from PayPal after they put me into 10 different disputes with Steam, and people who I'd received or sent money to (INCLUDING GIFTS/PAYMENTS OWED).
After they solved the disputes... they decided that even though the transactions were all good, nothing suspicious... they wanted to reverse them anyway.
So, at the moment I've been limited for over a month, I've got my steam account suspended (that's $300 of games down the drain), and since the payments to steam have now been reversed, I'm expecting my account to get fully removed soon.

Take a look at these screenshots if you want and you'll see the hell I've been through:
Steam suspension: http://i51.tinypic.com/30lorhd.png
Steam gift reversal: https://i.imgur.com/1pEAQ.png
A nice list of my disputes: http://i51.tinypic.com/9i4tbp.png
-$40 balance... http://i55.tinypic.com/2q8wkr4.png
And then a crapload of full reversals, but still limited...: http://i54.tinypic.com/2jakfvb.png

And THIS bullshit is why I like bitcoin... your account can't be frozen for no apparant reason and then having all your transactions reversed...
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASE] Liquidcoin (Speculation based) on: January 21, 2012, 04:57:22 AM

I love liquidcoin... 3 blocks in a row in 5 minutes. and this is at only 18khash/s with an estimated 3hrs between blocks...
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASE] Liquidcoin (Speculation based) on: January 21, 2012, 01:30:18 AM
Wow, 18khash/s, was predicting 3 hours for my first block... but nope, 10 minutes after starting solo mining I find a block...
Beginners luck FTW.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much would you ask to create (me) a cryptocoin variation ? on: January 21, 2012, 12:25:20 AM
You aren't going to get very far if you have no users though, and keeping it private means you're basically screwed unless you somehow find users who are happy to use a proprietary bitcoin modification that they probably have no idea what it could do to their systems...
278  Economy / Marketplace / Re: FeedZeBirds.com - Bitcoin Twitter Ad Platform [ANN] on: January 21, 2012, 12:19:01 AM
Damn just found out about this... Was hoping it'd be working since I have 1.3K followers...how much would I make from that? o_O
Also when is it going to be un-suspended?
279  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling MTGox Code grabber IRC Bot on: January 20, 2012, 03:12:12 AM
Does anyone transfer gox codes via IRC? Seems like it would be an inevitable race to redeem with god knows who...
Yeah, I actually saw people in #bitcoin-otc and #bitcoin throwing out random MTGOX codes every now and then, which inspired me to make an IRC bot to snatch them as fast as it could, meaning less than a single second to redeem the code.
Using this... it truly is impossible for someone to redeem it manually...
280  Economy / Marketplace / Selling MTGox Code grabber IRC Bot on: January 20, 2012, 02:35:03 AM
Okay, well, I've built a bot in PHP which can detect MTGox codes in any sort-of message on IRC, from any channel the bot is in, and then automatically redeeming the code via the mtgox API, and then returning the status to the owner via PM to let you know whether the code was valid or not, what code it was, and which channel/person it came from.

It also supports withdrawing via the MTGox API using "!withdraw BTC 0.00001" and it will output the code generated for that amount of money if successful. (This function is secured as owner only, though it can be made public if you really wanted it to be, probably a bad idea though...).
I'm selling the code for the bot for just 1BTC 0.5BTC maybe lower, once you've bought it, you can do whatever you like with it, keep it private, make it open source, or share it privately with others, just as-long as you don't sell it as your own.
If anyone wants to test it out, feel free to join #someguy123 on irc.freenode.net
I'll refund any amount given to the bot for testing if I've seen that you posted the MTGox code which was worth the amount.
