262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: March 07, 2018, 12:24:07 AM
For long term investment, its better to invest now in bitcoin and ethereum. But still there are many cases that you might have regretted investing sooner or later because of bitcoins volatility. If I have invested with bitcoin last December 2017 where bitcoin was so expensive, I might have regretted, but in the long run, if you just hold your coin it will still be profitable,.
263  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Cryptocurrency as part of the syllabus in business courses on: March 05, 2018, 02:29:53 PM
I dont really think there's a need for this. Even if regulated around the world, bitcoin is just a currency. Yes its true that its creating a hype among us and we are so excited about bitcoin, but it is still a currency. And no university of colleges in the Philippines has a syllabus specifically intended for a specific currency, say peso or dollar, which are both been used a long time ago.

I am saying it could be a good information especially for the young students giving them awareness about cryptoworld and hope it should be brought up as a sample for currencies, but to include it in a syllabus, I think its not yet time for it.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: March 05, 2018, 02:15:02 PM
People are just looking at the stability and security of gold. Many are taking into account the tangible physical nature of gold against bitcoin which is just a virtual currency that could be lost instantly. Another thing is the volatility of bitcoin, never in history does gold drops half the price since the time it was considered valuable, unlike bitcoin that is very shaky, rising 50% then dropping 50% 2 months after. We cant really blame those who don't really understand bitcoin and the risk in investing one.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: March 05, 2018, 02:06:38 PM
Well truthfully, I just scan the whitepaper and look for some interesting facts that can I can find in the project. I've read a lot of whitepaper since I also translated some ICO WP, but there is no really guarantee that all said in the whitepaper are legit and can be really implemented. Ive seen ICO with promising WP and didn't even reach its closing and just declared failure. But still, its an advantage if you read and find that the project is feasible, redundant or just plain stupidity.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you day trade or prefer a long term hold? on: March 05, 2018, 01:59:40 PM
It really depends on the coins you have. Some coins are really worth holding for a long time and can have negligible effects in traded immediately, so with these coins I'd rather hold. But there are also a lot of coins that tends to be short lived, just pumping for a week, and very risky for long time investment. I've tried buying some and hours later sold and earned a good profit.   The only problem now is which coin you should trade frequently or hold.

Based on my experience, talagang mahirap malaman kung scam yung kalalabasan ng ICO. Merong may magandang platforms at complete paperworks din akong nasalihan but turned out to be scam.

276  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Php2,000 worth of Bitcoin, 10% OFF (Lazada/Coins.ph) on: December 18, 2017, 05:55:54 AM
I think this is a good start for 2018 sa cryptocurrency dito sa Pilipinas.
277  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Transaction fee sa coins.ph! on: December 18, 2017, 02:31:27 AM
A piece of advice, laging mag install ng desktop wallet, electrum para di mabigat...

278  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May nabasa ako tatanggap na daw ang Mcdonald Ng bitcoin next year on: December 18, 2017, 02:25:43 AM

http://cryptodaily.co.uk/2017/11/mcdonalds-accept-bitcoin-2018/

Kung totoo man to, mas pipiliin ko pa ring magbayad ng fiat money. Imagine mo yung pipila kat maghihintay mag-order tapos pagbayad mo in bitcoin, matagal din.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: December 18, 2017, 01:57:17 AM
Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.

We cannot really tell if an ICO is legit and successful. Although it is very tempting to participate in ICO especially when they forecast the how much is the value of their coins in the market after the ICO, but the truth is the market and community decide the value of the coins. So as long they cant implement their project fully, most coins will just be dumped just after it is listed in the market.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more airdrop is a lie, on: December 18, 2017, 01:50:44 AM
More and more airdrop is a lie, I do not recommend participation in airdrop, because there are at most a few 100 airdrop quality, so I think it should not be a waste of time.

I feel you. I used to join and participate in airdrops but past the ebtc airdrop craze, there are already a lot of airdrops that are scam, some asked for donations (which is almost everytime) and you cannot get airdrop if you haven't donated (even though they said its optional). Ive got a lot of shitcoins/deadcoins that the devs are nowhere to be heard of after the distribution.
