1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin as gift on: February 27, 2023, 07:35:57 AM
Is it cool to give a friend bitcoin as a gift on his birthday?
I have a friend who I have been telling about bitcoin for the past 2 weeks now and he's paying more attention to it, on the 1st of March is his birthday party I want to surprise him with $200 BTC because I can't attend his birthday party.
So is it apprised to gift a friend bitcoin at his birthday party?

I think it's brilliant. Not only you gifted him some amount but also a whole new perspective of investment. Provided you also orient your friend about the important matters of crypto world.

Guys are you actually think TikTok is time wasting app? Has it only just negetiveside?

Actually, its not really a waste of time. A lot of my friends are earning from TikTok through shops affiliate. You just have to have at least 1k followers, and then you can apply for shops affiliate and earn through commission.

When I joined bitcointalk dati nakarecieve agad ako ng airdrops. After nalist sa trading umabot ng about 80K pesos, kaso di ko alam kung paano ibenta. kinabukasan nung malaman ko paano mgbenta sa trading, 8k pesos nlang sya. Pero sulit na sulit parin hahaha.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: September 27, 2022, 02:24:31 AM
One of my biggest mistake was one time I got an airdrop and was hesitant to sell when it when it was selling high, only a day later and it fell rock bottom, I had to sell it so low regretfully.

Nakabili ako ng binance coin last 2018 for about 7k worth yata, tapos after months naging inactive ako sa trading dahil sobrang na busy ako at nahayaan lng yung  binance coin ko.
These scams are just exploiting crypto because it has still a lot of holes. Eventually, mae-educate din yung karamihan so most lilkely hihina yung fraud. But, all in all, always nman yung scam, mapa crypto man o hindi.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't just hold your altcoins for a long time! on: February 26, 2020, 03:42:11 AM
I think holding altcoins is only good if you are sure of the value of the coins you have. I have a lot of coins in my wallet that although they are still in the market, their value is ridiculously low and will only be sold at less than a dollar. Sometimes, its profitable to just sell your coins immediately after receiving it rather than holding and waiting for it to rot.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's website is asking private keys of the holders. on: February 26, 2020, 03:37:18 AM
This is so obvious, why would you let anybody get hold of your keys of your wallets.  This is also a warning for newbies in cryptocurrency that even if you are are an honest man, you shouldn't immediately trust anyone especially if its about money.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we have slow steps about convincing governments to accept bitcoin? on: February 24, 2020, 03:05:57 PM
I think cryptocurrency will eventually have its time because in the following generations, those people who are in charge in the regulation and higher ups in the government will be the new generation when time comes. If only problems like stability of value and a lot of fraudulent actions could be taken care of, Im sure it will be a good start for bitcoin and other coins.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, be aware of a new scam! Stay safe with your funds! on: February 24, 2020, 03:02:10 PM
Scammers always need something to show off so that people will have interest, the only thing is too good to be true offers, we've post many posts about offers that are too good to be real on this forum but many wants to try their luck out in the hope of making quick money

Definitely right. Even though there are a lot of warnings for fraud in this forum, still there are people who are victims of such scam. That is one of the reasons why the scammers are still here because they can still get people in their hook. My advise if you are newbie in this line, watch and learn first all about scam and fraud before investing.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: February 23, 2020, 01:29:52 PM
You are probably right but its where you can earn so much from new coins. Yes its better to invest in stable coins but they tend to be long term and slowly raised their value. Unlike new coins, if you are lucky, you could have up to 20 times the value from buying at start.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: February 23, 2020, 01:26:33 PM
To be frank I only joined at first because of the monetary benefits as Ive read and heard about crypto. It has became like a gold rush to me, and indeed on 2017 crypto let me earn some money, whether through ICO, trading or bounties.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: February 20, 2020, 02:50:45 PM
If you really want to earn long term, then staying in the safe zone is fine. But if you want to earn bigtime quickly, then you really need to gamble with some altcoins though. Its where the higher percentages rise are happening.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are now in the “shitcoin” season? on: February 19, 2020, 03:07:31 PM
It seems you are a victim of ICO scam or something? you seem very angry, well all i can say is there is time for everything, we are in bear market since mid 2018 and it thus feel like its not changing any time soon but either things change quickly or not i am happy with my holdings, if you are holding shitcoins you will always be in shitcoins season

I agree that if you are holding shitcoins, then you are always in shitcoin season. Although its true that a lot of shitcoins are appearing and disappearing lately, there are still some that are valuable. Those coins that which are now in the top were also unpredictable when they are starting too.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for legitimate airdrop / giveaway on: February 19, 2020, 12:25:25 AM
Almost all of my tokens from airdrops are either useless of very small to be traded at all. So I think you'd better give up on looking for airdrops because they are long dead. I have about more that ten coins from airdrop that have been listed in the market but the value is so small it would be a loss just to send it to the exchange.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: February 19, 2020, 12:22:22 AM
Many find it hard to invest any money on bitcoin or altcoin but now that we are in a good crypto year I think its wise if you hold few good top coins but if you don't have any money make sure you hold parts of coins or tokens you earned from bounty, remember what happened to most bounty rewards in 2017?

2017 success ratio can never be repeated in the space anymore since the like of ICO that triggered the hype are long dead. The market might still recover and even surpass its previous all time high but not all altcoins will be carried along and only few selective ones will benefit from bitcoin price and the likes of ethereum will be among those coins Your suggestion isn't that bad since it'll also contribute the decreased of these spams

Totally agree. I think that if you really want to earn in crypto nowadays, you have to wait and be patient with your coins. The 2017 bull run was also the reason why so many scams have emerged, thus people have been watchful because of that. Yes the market could recover, but it will be a slow recovery.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: February 19, 2020, 12:16:56 AM
https://news.yahoo.com/cryptocurrency-thefts-fraud-hit-1-211446327.html

In Q1 alone of 2019 there was $356m in theft of digital currencies from exchanges and scams while losses from fraud hit 851m. This number includes the QuadrigaX scam which accounts to about $134m in total losses.

What can we do to help stop these from happening and getting worse?

Well what are we really expecting. This is the digital world of crypto and an anonymous one, so there will always be someone expert in hacking and at the same time anonymous. The scammers here are more intelligent than normal, so I dont think there will be any solution for that anytime soon.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the altcoin market being manipulated in 2020? on: February 19, 2020, 12:13:58 AM
I think manipulation of the altcoins is always been there. I have been skeptic since I started to hold altcoins. That is why there are bull run and suddenly coins dropped after that. You cant really predict anything in crypto.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: February 19, 2020, 12:08:16 AM
Recently I have seen the news that Trezor hardware wallet was hacked in 15 minutes! Was it true guys? Or I have misunderstood? I thought they have very strong security that can't be breach so easily! But look at what can be happened to Trezor within 15 minutes! So, how can we feel 100% safe in hardware wallet?

I think that hardware wallet is still more secure than other wallets out there. The only problem is your maintenance of your hardware, aside from that, you dont have to worrry about anything else.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about bounties on: February 19, 2020, 12:06:05 AM
Well I think number 1 and number 2 reason is ironic. How can bounty still be profitable if you dont get paid. Most of the bounties last for about three months or more, and if you dont get paid with that bounty, you have wasted that three months. Its true Im still bounty hunting, but Im not really expecting to profit like the old days.
