261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Scam] Just like Bitcoin's hard fork, LiteCoin is gonna fork into LiteCoin Cash on: February 13, 2018, 09:47:59 AM
https://www.profitconfidential.com/cryptocurrency/litecoin/ltc-price-prediction-upcoming-litecoin-hard-fork/

And it is probably a scam. Please be careful and don't give out your private key to "collect" this Litecoin Cash.

There is no good reason for this fork, the project (if there really is any) is completely opague, and the developers are anonymous.
And unlike the original LiteCoin, it is far far from being adopted, so lets not get all hyped up and make the mistake of investing in this obvious scam.

People being scammed is generally bad for the crypto community as a whole -- BTC and altcoins alike.

It is probably a scam as no platform will ask you to share your private keys in public. Looking at the project, i don't see why litecoin should be preparing for a hardfork after all despite the fact that it is popular, it does have that much of high transaction volume like bitcoin. People should beware and be careful

263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins You Think will Grow on: February 13, 2018, 04:33:52 AM
As the industry changes day from day. our views as to what coins will grow in long term seem to change.
many thought XRG was it in December, then it was Tron, then people thought less

so anyways
your ideas of 5 good coins you think will grow for 2018?
Privacy and Alt Coins

I am still thinking NEO.
But I like to hear from everyone else. as new ideas help to research other coins.

more feed back the better.

Let me just say that these coins you mentioned have not actually achieved their roadmap yet. It seems like people are impatient and expect that a coin that pops today should make profit immediately. One needs to give the developers time to grow the product.

However i see coins like Monero, Stellar, Ada, ETh, Ripple doing well in 2018
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know which coins are good? on: February 13, 2018, 04:30:35 AM
Lots of coins are coming in every month. But I can't know which coin will good in future,  Always I face problem with my confusion. So, is there anyway to know which coins are good?

Thank You

There is no fool proof method to know which alt coins are good and bad. They things you could do however to reduce your chances of investing in bad coins is to do your research and investigate the team. Try to look for reviews about the coin if there are anyway and always go for projects that you fully understand
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: February 09, 2018, 12:13:05 PM
I have been trading crypto-currencies for almost a year now, investing, participating in bounty companies and building my own mining farm.
I wonder how many more girls are in this forum?
Or who of the guys is teaching his girlfriends and wives to invest and trade in crypto-currencies? It is very interesting to me!

You know in the coding space, girls were very much popular in programming before men joined in. In the crypto space, it seems like boys are in the front but it will only be a matter of time before ladies will become  heavily involved in cryptocurrency . I have a lot girlfriends who are great investors and are crypto enthusiasts just like yourself.  Grin
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on advisors when choosing a good ICO project? on: February 09, 2018, 12:07:18 PM
Lately all the projects try to attract best faces onboard for their projects, I started noticing that they are almost the same everywhere. What things are more important for you? Are advisors one of the most significant criteria?

I don't look advisors when it comes to ICOs because most of them are not interested in the project and just want to make some bucks with advertisement. I focus on the team; they don't have to be that popular but they should have an experience.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MyEtherWallet changing to MyCrypto.com? on: February 09, 2018, 08:50:10 AM
Just saw the official verified MEW twitter account changed name to MyCrypto.com / @mycrypto.  Below is the official Medium notice posted by them :

https://medium.com/mycrypto/mycrypto-launch-6a066bf41093

It seems that @tayvano_ and her team branched out forming a new company, leaving MEW and @kvhnuke_.  After reading the medium post, I really do appreciate everything Taylor has done for MEW and the community & respect her decision to lead her team in a new direction.  However, this all seems so abrupt.  Also, it seems that the decision to change the verified official MEW twitter account name was made without an agreement with @kvhnuke_.   I feel a bit confused by the situation at the moment.  Gonna keep an eye on both @mycrypto and the new twitter account for @myetherwallet for now.

It was a tough decision but change is always that difficult. However it is great that MEW should have a competition even though this competition should be from a cofounder. As it is we need more wallets for Ether as we are evolving to a tokenised system. Lets see how this plays out. I will be watching both Wallets
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fork Coin--BTT (BitcoinTop) on: February 09, 2018, 08:33:20 AM
Bitcoin Top (BTT)

- Forked at Bitcoin 501118  (26/12/2017)

- mainnet launch 2018.01

- (1 BTC = 1 BTT)

- The total amount of BTT is 21 million.

Official website- https://bitcointop.org/

Github - https://github.com/bitcointop/bitcointop

Not surprised. So many bitcoin forks has been on the rise since last year and now we have BTT which is set to compete with Bitcoin. Sometimes i wonder why people would want a hard fork rather than work towards making bitcoin better but well humans are humans. I will check it out. Thanks for sharing
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that “Bitcoin has made the whole coin market plunge”? on: February 09, 2018, 08:27:32 AM
After the historical plunge of Bitcoin from $19,000 to $6,000 in December 2017, on February 06th, 2018, the whole cryptocurrency market is adversely affected. All the coins have seen a dramatic fall. In spite of nothing related to each other, Bitcoin seems to be the head of the crypto train.

Many analysts have dug deep in this field. It is believed to undergo the yo-yo experience: “It plunged now in order to skyrocket at the end of 2018”. Whether this statement is right or not, just let time answer.

On early February 07th, 2018, there is a good sign that green has emerged on Coinmarketcap. Bitcoin is recorded to bound back to $7,500, yet still experienced fluctuation for a short period of time. Only USDT is independent with slight fluctuation. Generally, USDT is stabler when compared to other coins.

RothscoinTeam.

The market is weird is its on way. It is complex to determine what caused Bitcoin to plunge even though, experts had said that it is due to regulations and ban by china. One thing is for sure that at this stage Bitcoin is undergoing correction, it is only a matter of time before it goes back to being bullish
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance is back on: February 09, 2018, 08:25:21 AM
Now we can access the binance website and they made a tweet about the come back.

Well the air has been cleared about Binance being hacked but this reminds us that we should take Security so seriously. True that Cryptocurrency is a gamechanger in terms of finance but so is Security. These days hackers are improving their game so we should be vigilant.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Jesus Coin will be Nr 1 by the end of the year on: February 08, 2018, 06:53:21 PM
Those of you who don’t know it yet, I would like to make aware of a rather new project that I have really fallen for - Jesus Coin (JC). It will decentralise Jesus on the blockchain.

I suppose you guys are now wondering if I have gone completely mad, but let me explain to you why I love this project:

- JC is currently trading at an incredibly low price and is only available on Etherdelta and Stocks.Exchange. However, it will soon be listed on bigger exchanges and has a similar potential like DODGE

- The goal of JC is to reach the market capitalisation of DOGE by Easter and of BTC by the end of the year. The also have a very strong argument why this will happen: If you don’t believe in it, consider that Jesus was resurrected. How unlikely is this?

- They have a committed and growing community behind the coin. People even dress up as Jesus and record songs to spread the gospel and they do regular airdrops to reward their disciples.

- No other coin offers ultra fast p2p (pilgrim to pilgrim) transactions and will save you from hell.

- The developers are a really cool bunch of guys with a great sense of humour.  No other crypto has a donkey that takes care of the airdrops and deals with stupid requests in such an elegantly sarcastic way.

I also highly recommend to read their white paper, which really made my day.

Check out their website https://jesuscoin.network and their Telegram channel for further details.

Well good luck to the community and thumbs up to the team. It would seem that JC looks like a coin that will go no where but when I think about the Doge coin project and how it is still being used in the Crypto space, then I won't judge but rather be watching.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ok, this have finally convinced me to move all my Ripple XRP to Stellar XLM on: February 08, 2018, 06:39:12 PM
After having faithfully HODLing on to XRP, reasoning that its goals is different from the other cryptos, this have finally broken my resolve.

Ripple (XRP) is centralized and terribly flawed, researchers say
https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/02/06/ripple-report-bitmex-centralized/

The developing world will anchor Stellar (XLM) growth
https://cryptorecorder.com/2018/02/06/the-developing-world-will-anchor-stellar-xlm-growth/

Hold your horses! It is true that Ripple has a bad rep from Crypto entusiast because it is more centralized than any other cryptocurrency. However, it has got a thumbs up form all banks all over the world so you should not dump it just yet. Besides it is no different from Stellar. You should keep both coins as they will do well
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance: Hacked or not? on: February 08, 2018, 06:31:40 PM
The screenshot says the exchange will be ready in less than 12 hours. But John Mcafee insists the exchange is hacked. https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/961662107786899456

https://twitter.com/binance_2017/status/961644926520840192

Mcaffee could be right. I have never seen a maintenance that happens without announcement to the users and why would it take about 12 hrs for an upgrade or maintenance. It is either Binance has been hacked or they detected a flaw in their system. We will know in due time
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Developing own blockchain from the scratch - is it worth the effort? on: February 07, 2018, 11:05:03 AM
I have (like most people here I believe) a couple of blockchain ideas I would like to make a reality. I'm a developer and can get stuff done.

My options are:
1. Use existing platform, which allows token creating, smart contracts etc and build upon it.
2. Use existing codebase and create a fork.
3. Implement own solution.

Now consciences of each approach:

1. I will need transactions, many of them. Transactions and smart contracts are coming with fee costs. I would really like to avoid it, as it would drastically lower the adoption of my solution, from my point of view.

2. Sounds like the most sane approach, but I would like to have some very specific functionality built in and the existing solutions, as far as I can see, don't offer it. I could write some plugins and patches etc, but relying on the existing platform which has different purpose just trying to change it to my use case also makes me feel not that happy.

3. A crazy thing to do these days, but the code base could be really small and manageable (I read some of the implementations, NXT for example, there nothing a single person can't comprehend) and I could have all my requirements built in naturally.

What you guys think?

I would go with 2 but it depends on what you want to build. Personally, I believe that using existing  codebase is the best as all you have to do is just improve on the code. I know platforms like 3dcoin and Stellar are creating a platform where developers can build cool dapps without being disturbed about the code. So you can check them and see if your idea can flow with these platforms
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in everyday life. Is it possible? on: February 07, 2018, 11:01:00 AM
I found this project AKAIITO. It says “Akaiito – use cryptocurrency in everyday life”. I'm wondering if it is possible. Seen lots of project like IoT or Intere of Thing which is really achievable I think because most of the things now really connected to internet. Evolution of technology is caused by curiosity of mankind and our eagerness to seek for easy way or comfort.
One of the evolution is the cryptocurrency which is a big change in financial world. Can you imagine a platform that will unite the people of the whole world?  But how it works? Tell me your thoughts about that.

So many ICO projects have sold the idea of cryptocurrencies being used in everyday life but not all of them are working towards that goal or have even reached it yet. Cryptocurrency is still at its infant stage but i do know that there are smart people who will make this goal a reality. I believe Ethereum is working on this . I will look at AKAIITO to see how they intend to achieve this goal
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will you buy marijuana with cryptocurrencies? on: February 07, 2018, 10:57:14 AM
Will You buy marijuana  with cryptocurrencies?  There is a profitable  coin known as Hempcoin, which has appreciated since ICO.  If marijuana  can be on blockchain  why not other commodities  that are even  legally  traded on Comodity exchanges . Opportunity  to buy cocoa  too with cryptocurrencies is now available at  http://www.kukucoin.io/

I have heard about Hempcoin and all i can say is that the blockchain technology is not that limited in use-cases. Although, I wonder why people would want to force every industry in the blockchain. As cool as blockchain is, i have discovered that not all business need tokens
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you bought any coins during this dip, what are your reactions now? on: February 07, 2018, 10:52:02 AM
Pretty much every coin has been suddenly mooning the last 24h.

What did you do? Do you sell before the Chinese new year? Continue to hold? Something else?

I'm still holding for now but I was actually considering selling this I'm like 99% sure there'll be another crash.

I have never been moved the price swings in the market. I am hodling my investing for about 2 years but it is great to know that the market is rising again even though many experts have said that the bearish cycle isn't over yet.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the opposite of FUD? on: February 07, 2018, 10:47:05 AM
Hype?

There are A LOT of FUD articles nowadays. I was wondering if there are any opposite articles - encouraging people to buy, buy, buy!

Though I guess they're really unusual.

Indeed this is very difficult to find as it is easy to spread FUD than to encourage buy. However, I would suggest you go on youtube and look for some videos on some crypto enthusiast who given great information. Like i watched a video titled 5 tips to help in Bitcoin crash by Doug Polk or a Bitcoin millionaire who explains the Bitcoin Crash
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 07, 2018, 10:03:52 AM
"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks

I do believe that the government is very much aware about the impact of cryptocurrency in the world. They watched as the value of bitcoin rose up in value so much that it was on par with gold.

What the government fears so much is that they might lose control of the virtual currency if they dont act fast. Anonymity might be on the increase and so will the power of manipulation be lost due to decentralisation of the market.

So the only thing they can do is to ban and go hard with regulation but if they don't cooperate, government will lose the battle
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Almost All Currencies Down (RED DAYS) on: February 06, 2018, 05:32:50 PM
What happened today? As i saw in the market almost all the currencies is down even the BTC is super down. Is time to buy or not? Or do  we need now to sell what we hold or not? For you what is your best opinion or best strategy or best advice to all newbie.

You should never panic because the market is down as it is not just crypto market that is down but even stock markets are facing the bearish situation . However thia is the best time to buy to increase your profits when the market returns to its bullish position.
