Daily update for everyone.
Currently running the 0.9.2 Client myself. Synced up ahead of the block where merged-mining started I'll let it sync fully and then we can start up testnet and do some merged-mining on myriadcoin's PolyMYR pool. Once thats done the network urgently needs some new DNS Seeds. Other coins have 15+ while we have 0. After that we can roll out the clients Smiley

EDIT: Also Reverted the switch to a 40 Byte OP_RETURN by the bitcoin dev's

EDIT No 2: 1 hour and 30 Mins, 1 Blockchain Rescan Later. The client is fully synced.  Time to get some Win QT's out

After you test out the merge mining functionality, can you work with CEX.IO to get the 0.9.2 functionality into their pool?

This is the current biggest obstacle in getting any new functionality into IXC.

As an additional upside, CEX.IO may just hire you for your pool development experitise.

Thanks!

operating out of the back of a masonic temple.
Those doors on the back wall of the temple look like fire escape doors to me.
Exactly.  AMT is running their RMA process from the fire escape doors of a Masonic temple.

It sounds entirely ludicrious,  but that's exactly where the address they gave leads to.

Well, excellent that you got it working.  The 0.9.2 code base is nicer than the previous because it uses the standard automake to drive its makefile.   There is a couple of spots in the code base that have markers when a BIP was enabled,  you may want to either permanently disable those BIP changes or set them sometime in the future.

That shouldnt make a difference really. The only important BIP's i know of are BIP16 and 30 of which both were enabled ages ago

Use then the block height used by the previous version.

While I was browsing the Bitcoin Foundation website, I realised:

There are so many tasks and positions to cover in a well structured organisation.

Probably boring meetings and paperwork is not part of Friction's nature. He is a man of action, the one doing the job, "getting things done" as he said once.

If you look at BTCF only a few, and sometimes easy targets for criticism, are board members. All the others occupy different and maybe more enjoyable positions.

I wonder Friction, since you know yourself and your personal condition better then anyone else, how do you think you could be better used in IXC Community?

Is there any way you feel you could happily contribute to IXC growth without affecting you to the point to feel unduly used by this community?

I think it's a matter of balance. Maybe we expected too much of you.

It doesn't mean you cannot still contribute, according to your personal schedule, to the support of this project.

Best Regards

Vlad has no idea about how to develop anything.  So let's be real,  we've had a couple of guys previously who did make a lot of contributions.  Dexter44 and Luke,  they've both left but before they did, they complained a lot about Vlad's back seat driving.

I have come to a point where I have little or no interest in working with Vlad.

You are however right,  I really have no time for the boring administrivia stuff.

I think stepping back right now and letting other developers take a crack at this is a good thing.  I have done my part to keep this coin afloat when there was no developer and no website.  I find it extremely distasteful to be criticized by someone who had never made a single real contribution to IXC.

Anyone selling Facebook accounts? I'd love some, thanks guys.

probably not worth it anymore at 500 STR payout.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 07, 2014, 12:31:49 AM

We do not need iXCoin.co.  Friction can keep it as a memento.

We have a much much better site at iXCoin.eu and I have several iXCoin domains which are better than .io and I can just point them to the .eu site.

iXCoin.co isn't worth $50 let alone what he's asking so don't be foolish to pay him anything.

The best site is iXCoin.org and if Thomas doesn't get off his ass soon and start cooperating I'll get a court order and confiscate it from him given he paid for it with this community's money.

Your foundation doesn't even have a website.

Thomas is absent most of the time and hasn't updated his website in years.

Luke has decided to focus his talents elsewhere.

Without any real skills, you folks in the foundation are like a boat without a paddle.   It doesn't help your case by insulting the only one developer of iXcoin that has given a damn about it.

268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 07, 2014, 12:26:26 AM

Edit:  In case anyone tries to dispute the above claim.  My brother at the same time paid $3,300 for exactly 28,000 IXC.  So in actuality, friction got closer to $7,000 in pay for a copy and paste job which took 5 months.  That's our charity guy....haha!

Not my fault that you advised your brother to buy at the peak.

I think you need to get a clue about the real world.  Software development is very expensive.

Furthermore,  IXC has rarely been at 10 cents, also it took me many months to even collect on the bounties.

Even if I did the 0.9.2 port,  I wouldn't expect a prompt payment.

All I can say about IXC is that it has the stingiest owners, these owners would rather see the coin go to zero than pay out any bounties.   So I'm going to sit here and wait until you owners can't take the pain anymore and finally shell out to pay for some real development.

269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 07, 2014, 12:18:29 AM
Now go shut up and sit in the corner.

Is this a smear campaign against my name?  Message me your private information.  I will sue, you bet.

This is going too far.  Outright brazen and nothing but ungrateful.  YOU did nothing for IXCoin.

Reminder:  BCFrictionless is some other user who seems to relish impersonating FrictionlessCoin.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 06, 2014, 09:27:43 PM
I was under the impression that we need the new code update for counter party stuff to work. IE: counter party code can't start till new code done

Yes, the counterparty code is dependent on a 0.9.2 port.

I'm getting really tired of Vlad's back seat driving.... perhaps he needs to be banned from the IXC community.  Too many folks who made good contributions to IXC have already left because of Vlad.

Hahahaaa.

You just made me laugh really hard.

You've been fired from the board and now you're fired from any further development on iXcoin.

The 9.2 update is almost complete and I have talked to super stars like Peter Todd and others about any other work that needs to be done.

Thank you for your latent services and many excuses but your services will no longer be needed here.  Please return the 15,000 IXC to those who donated them to you.

Best regards...

I think you only paid me 5,000 IXC for the last upgrade (see:  http://darkgamex.ch:2751/tx/0dce22261eccd8579d3af9f3b7576f410db2b647207bd8ac985283fe3a920789 ).  If memory serves me correctly, you promised a 15,000 IXC bounty for the 0.8.6 bounty.  So you still owe me 10,000 IXC.

Here's what you said back in November:

Quote
I've gotten no word back from the dev yet but so far I've gotten 15,000 ixCoin's together. Just the wallet encryption would be enough as that is urgent.

BTW... folks looking for some free BTC?

Register at www.stellar.org .... if you sign up with your email and facebook account, you'll get 6,000 STR (Stellar).

You can then turn around and sell it at justcoin.com .... this will fetch you at current prices... 0.027 BTC or roughly 16 USD.

It's free money!!

Don't forget to send me a tip at: 1Euv4fj2q4rvjVFcf6mJSVyFdiGF3KmCYR  (BTC address)

Hello,
Is the price of stellar real on this site?
http://www.stellarvalue.org/
Because it looks really high, and I saw it on another exchanges for way too low then this.
On http://www.stellarvalue.org/ the price is 2.5 USD per 1000 Stellar?!  Shocked
BR
Gondel
Yeah $2.6/100 STR or 460 satoshi each is correct price.

You mean $2.6/1000 STR

What's with these boxes?  What are you supposedly shipping to customers?  What are customers expected to receive?
275  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 06, 2014, 06:53:25 PM
Clenell,

You led a group of clients down a path to no where in a class action. We've shipped their miners and they'll be delivered shortly, completely removing their ability to sue us on an individual basis. You screwed every AMT client out of a fair chance at suing us. We can only thank you for your assistance in that matter. That's why you post so freely on this thread.

Thanks for your help clenell, enjoy your miner. And your suit which should be coming any day now.

Are you suggesting that we individually take you to small claims court?

and I assume that donation funds were used for hosting then?

You're a reasonable guy and have done alot for the community and def made your mark on ixcoin, would you consider donation control of the website to a community member such as deadsea?

A majority of funds that were sent to that address were for bounties paid.   There were probably some change sent on occassion, but certainly not substantial.

I've been hosting this website out of my own pocket.

Control and ownership of the website is up for sale.   I've donated enough of my time and money on IXC already.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 06, 2014, 05:16:36 PM

Community Update:

After discussing the issue [at length] regarding Frictionless and his failure to fulfill his most basic duties and responsibilities as a board member, with everyone currently on the board [including CEX.io] it has been decided that Frictionless will been removed from the iXcoin Foundation Board, effective immediately, by unanimous [democratic] vote.

Best Regards...

Is iXcoin Foundation Board a ficticious entity?  Can you point me to the foundation's website?

Maybe it's not obvious to you, but iXcoin needs more than "lip service" to move forward.

BTW,  I am selling the www.ixcoin.co ... the official iXcoin website for 50,000 IXC.

Friction, First off thank you for the work you have done.

question? Do you still have control of the donation address from ixcoin.co website?

Address xm7RZfDQyiYqFQZ6Q9ZgtSkX9e8uBJ3SLY

Short Link: http://darkgamex.ch:2751/a/xm7RZfDQyi

Balance: 99942 IXC
Transactions in: 29
Received: 369754.10602761 IXC
Transactions out: 27
Sent: 269812.10602761 IXC

The xm7RZfDQyiYqFQZ6Q9ZgtSkX9e8uBJ3SLY address is an address at Cryptsy,  so as far as money flowing out,  I'm not sure how that correlates with what's in my Cryptsy account.    I am certainly sure that I don't have 99,942 IXC in that account.

Regarding bounties paid,  the only person who is dilinquent in his bounty payment is Vlad.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 06, 2014, 05:07:59 PM
Friction,

Since you are offering to sell the webpage to the community, can I ask, did the community pay for any of it at all already with the donation address that was on the donation page. If we did then what do we still owe?

If we did not, then it appears there is enough ix in the account to pay for it.

HOWEVER, that is up to a community vote, including Thomas when he checks in at end of month.

I built the website myself without anyone offering a bounty to have it built.

Thomas has his own ixcoin.org website.

280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 06, 2014, 05:06:06 PM
Calm down man,

A quick look at Thomas's history shows that he IS still active, his next appearance should be at the end of the month. Maybe this isn't exactly what we need in a leader but he does still check in. I think it's obvious that he is a busy guy, this project was just that, a project. He has for 3 years now continually moved it forward despite non-stop criticism. If I was in in his shoes, I'd prob do the same thing.

Thomas Nasakioto,

Time for you to wake up and start cooperating a bit.  Give us access to the .org site or point it to Luke's iXCoin.eu.  Tired of the fragmentation and hiding games.  Please cooperate or we will completely distance ourselves from you, permanently and in every way.

Best regards...

In fairness to Thomas,  he did pay the bounty for the original upgrade to 0.8.6.

In stark contrast to Vlad over here that tried to weasle himself out of paying the bounty that he himself offered.
