I agree it does. Where ive forked off of his commits look to have a lot of compiling issues. I plan on using his latest commit and work backwards removing devcoin's specialised code to make it into a blank template to make it easy to pull bitcoin's changes. and then build IXCoin from there.
Great to hear, Ya that sounds good & absolutely the shortest route to completion, yet having a longer term perspective on maintenance.

When we get the necessary funds I will personally hire a programmer
What is the amount that is needed for this? Anyone? -we also should expect Thomas to check in at the end of the month as per his track record, & maybe we can get him to donate some to the community take over development funds.
And who all controls the donation addresses? (in case, heaven forbid, Vlad gets hit by bus)
as an aside, we've had 4 part time devs so far right? each doing an update, so it makes sense for someone new to carry the torch.
1&2 Thomas and Fred (prob more Fred then Thomas) 3 doublec 4 Friction
I've begun (More like 3/4 coded) an update to the IXC Source based off sidhujang's BTC-MM 0.9.2 codebase. If i get it completed im going to aim to keep it up to date with BTC. Ok, Ahmed, you're a good competent coder from what I can tell. You can have the 65,000 IXC bounty but you must also add the Counterparty code per our earlier discussions on this thread. 50,000 IXC comes from Thomas and 15,000 IXC will come from Frictionless since he already collected it. Thank you for your hard, speedy work.

Thank you Ahmed for the consistent updates. It feels weird to actually know what's going on with the update for a change and you've only been working on this code update since I talked to you a week ago.
Much appreciated.

For now my aim is just to go inline with the bitcoin codebase

The 9.2 is the hard part. Thanks.

Community Update:
After discussing the issue [at length] regarding Frictionless and his failure to fulfill his most basic duties and responsibilities as a board member, with everyone currently on the board [including CEX.io] it has been decided that Frictionless will been removed from the iXcoin Foundation Board, effective immediately, by unanimous [democratic] vote.

Looks like the trolls are starting to herd...
@Vlad - all sounds good, positive moves thankyou. Having an unmoderated thread here really sucks, but wanted to add, like ahmed_bodi, had not really looked into why you want the counterparty stuff so badly, starting to see it as a good thing too, first allot has to get done & there is a long.... mile between here and released code imo. We'll get there.

Looking at Vircurex, iXCoin has blown past Devcoin in total network hashrate and is hot on Namecoin's heels.
Once Namecoin is down, next target to overcome will be el Bitcoin.
I can't believe we may soon actually see iXCoin with the fastest network in the world.
Not bad for a dead abandoned ShitCoin, eh? And I'm sure we'll still only be worth 4 cents per coin.
For me that has become something to laugh at these days. Maybe we'll soon laugh all the way to the bank. lol.

Is iXcoin Foundation Board a ficticious entity? Can you point me to the foundation's website? Maybe it's not obvious to you, but iXcoin needs more than "lip service" to move forward. BTW, I am selling the www.ixcoin.co ... the official iXcoin website for 50,000 IXC.

I have plenty of iXCoin domains to work with which sound better than io. Keep it, you're too cheap to pay the yearly fee and I'll pick it up for $12 next year. Cheers!

Thomas Nasakioto,
Time for you to wake up and start cooperating a bit. Give us access to the .org site or point it to Luke's iXCoin.eu. Tired of the fragmentation and hiding games. Please cooperate or we will completely distance ourselves from you, permanently and in every way.
Best regards...

And friction,
Don't forget to return the 15,000 bounty you received from board members for the Counterparty update for which you haven even given a single status update yet.
Much appreciated.

I was under the impression that we need the new code update for counter party stuff to work. IE: counter party code can't start till new code done
And friction,
Don't forget to return the 15,000 bounty you received from board members for the Counterparty update for which you haven even given a single status update yet.

Friction hasn't done anything. He was waiting for someone else like i0coin to do the 9.2 update so he can just copy and paste it like last time. He doesn't have the skills to do such a big job. This is why he never even gave us a timeline or a single status update. He delivered nothing so he gets nothing. He returns that bounty or he gets more [many] negative trust feedbacks for ripping off yet one more coin community.

Calm down man, A quick look at Thomas's history shows that he IS still active, his next appearance should be at the end of the month. Maybe this isn't exactly what we need in a leader but he does still check in. I think it's obvious that he is a busy guy, this project was just that, a project. He has for 3 years now continually moved it forward despite non-stop criticism. If I was in in his shoes, I'd prob do the same thing.

In fairness to Thomas, he did pay the bounty for the original upgrade to 0.8.6. In stark contrast to Vlad over here that tried to weasle himself out of paying the bounty that he himself offered.
