261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can / cannot replace the banks ? on: March 29, 2021, 05:36:45 PM
We shouldn't even think about such replacement. How would Bitcoin replace banks? They are totally different things. Bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency that is used for investment purposes or buying things but banks are entities that we can keep our money in them etc. .

263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Discussion on: March 27, 2021, 10:22:47 AM
Lots of people are still considering the risk investing in bitcoin. The fact that bitcoin price is increasing almost on a daily basis makes it more scary for them. A friend once asked me “What if the price falls ridiculously “? At that point I was almost dump folded and beginning to panic within myself. I was trying to convince him to see reasons with me on why he should invest in bitcoin and now I’m shivering with his questions. Is there any assurance to give  people especially in time of discussing bitcoin with a friend or family member as a bitcoin enthusiast?

You can't guarantee anything for anyone in the cryptocurrency market. They should already be aware of the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies. Of course the possibility of a sharp decrease in the price makes people scared (especially short-term investors). If you are a HODLer there is nothing to worry about, I think.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs on Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2021, 10:17:03 AM
Given the recent NFTs hype, was wondering if we should get NFTs onto Bitcoin. Given that Bitcoin is the KING in the industry and the most secure network, shouldn't we be able to secure NFTs using Bitcoin's security?

Just written an article arguing for the case that NFTs on Bitcoin should be relooked at, and certainly will bring the NFTs industry forward with Bitcoin onboard.
  • Most secure network
  • Most well-established network effects
  • Capital Pool of ~USD 1trillion.

I think this NFT hype will end after some time. I have been hearing some news about people buying the NFT version of works of art at a much higher price than the value of their original version. It seems really insane to me. Why would I want to pay such amount of money and buy NFTs instead of the original ones? I don't know maybe I'm thinking in an old-fashioned way.  Grin
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: March 27, 2021, 10:05:03 AM
I have tried to be attentive to buy Bitcoin from an as low level as possible so far. And I mostly HODLed my BTC in this period. Sometimes, I used some amount of it to buy something with BTC but didn't spend too many. I care about HODLing too much because you will be in a very good profit sooner or later.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BTC on: March 27, 2021, 09:58:58 AM
Bitcoin is really a special cryptocurrency for me. I have witnessed its growing process in years and it is still improving more. When I compare Bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies in the market, I see Bitcoin has a brighter future ahead of it. We can't be sure about whether this will always go on like this but I believe in Bitcoin to last very long and continue to be used more every year.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick thought on how to help/save bitcoin. on: March 27, 2021, 09:48:32 AM
Just a thought, We have all witnessed how just a tweet from a top individual in society can influence the price of bitcoin. We have also seen many people tweet about something so much, it becomes a trend and something popular that almost everyone hears about. This has got me thinking; if we all collectively pick a day or a period of time and all agree to tweet, post and create a trend about bitcoin that will last a while on twitter or any other social media platform, will this help the current price of bitcoin get to a higher ATH?

We have witnessed before that the price was affected in a good way after the searches about Bitcoin on the internet increased. The same effect can be created by doing so in the social media also. But you can be sure that it won't last long. It will just be effective for a short period and after that the price will most probably go back to its old level.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scarsity, the reason it's worth hodling bitcoin on: March 26, 2021, 10:48:55 PM
Going for scarce is really a smart thing to do as it is much more valuable. And when you HODL your Bitcoin, I think you will most probably be in more profit compared to investing in fiat. Devaluation is really a big disadvantage for fiat that makes people think twice before investing in it.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governments are looking to buy Bitcoin, NYDIG CEO confirms on: March 26, 2021, 10:40:16 PM
It is great news for sure. We have witnessed many governments not leaning towards legalizing Bitcoin in their country so far. But it looks like it could start changing. This will really accelerate Bitcoin adoption. Even if the governments don't prefer Bitcoin as their chief monetary unit, it means a lot for Bitcoin.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to invest in Bitcoin? or in Ethereum? on: March 26, 2021, 10:32:34 PM
Is it smart to invest in Bitcoin? or in Ethereum? because NFT already in market.

My answer will continue to be the same: It is always sensible to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum. These cryptocurrencies are the best for long-term investments. It has always been like it and I don't expect it to change also.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government ban on crypto on: March 26, 2021, 10:27:22 PM
China banned Bitcoin before but I was still hearing something about people were continuing to invest in Bitcoin. It looks like there is really no way to stop people. Because governments can't track their transactions unless they keep their coins in their wallet and don't convert them to fiat and don't send the money to their bank account.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "What happens if bitcoin succeeds?" on: March 26, 2021, 10:20:38 PM
I don't give any chance for the current situation to change in the future. I mean, Bitcoin has always been for every kind of people (poor, rich etc.). And it will always continue to be like this. And of course, we will also continue seeing new millionaires when the bull market comes.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Type of people who buy bitcoin. on: March 26, 2021, 10:14:04 PM
Once again, there may be misunderstood about the people who are buying or getting into Bitcoin. this is something quite different from the money or asset to have in the real world. In Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, everybody has the similar right to buy bitcoin in whatever amount. we can buy Bitcoin from small amounts to big amounts. Sometimes, whales will be dominant, but we can be ourselves to get profits from Bitcoin,. We can add from point to point to get the profits and get more amount of bitcoin again.

Yes, I agree. Bitcoin is not only for rich people. All people have the same right to buy Bitcoin. It is just a matter of the amount of Bitcoin you are able to buy. Not everyone has the financial power to buy high amount of BTC (especially when the price is too high).
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accepts Bitcoin on: March 26, 2021, 10:07:58 PM
This is one of the best news for Bitcoin. Tesla is like it is making a big effort for Bitcoin price to reach greater levels.  Grin  Firstly, they have bought huge amount of BTC (which is valued  $1.5 billion) and now they started accepting Bitcoin on their car sales. And they won't even convert it to fiat which shows they are intending to increase their investment.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Own only a small amount of bitcoin? Regardless, DON'T LOSE THEM. on: March 25, 2021, 09:47:26 PM
Regardless how much your bitcoin is worth today, make sure you don't lose them because we don't know how high bitcoin can go in the future. Your 0.01 BTC holdings might just be worth like $350 today, but who knows, while there are definitely no guarantees, it could buy you your future house sooner or later.

It is very true. As there is no other way than keeping the private information of our wallet in a place, we should be very careful about it. I know that it is really frustrating not being able to change the wallet access info (private key etc.) when we lose it somehow. But as I said, we have no other choice unfortunately.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Controls Bitcoin's Future on: March 25, 2021, 09:39:09 PM
Since most of Bitcoin is mined in China and depends on China's energy, do you think it is possible that Bitcoin will become centralized, with China becoming the authority?

There is absolutely no way that China will be able to take the control of Bitcoin in the future. It is totally against Bitcoin's nature first of all. Whatever China government tries to do, they won't be able to change this thing. When it comes to mining, I don't think most of Bitcoin will always continue to be mined in China. I actually expect the miners to choose another country to mine most of Bitcoin in the future. Because it won't be sensible for them to always continue there as China is fully against Bitcoin.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin production on: March 25, 2021, 04:20:29 PM
You CANNOT mine with CPU and GPU in today's difficulty. That statement would have been correct if the year was 2009-2010. The mining sector became so competitive post-2013 that indie miners died out and never got a proper change to even sell away their rigs and get some money back.

The devices that you need are ASICs today and not just one but hundreds of them.

I agree with you. But still I sometimes hear about some people are trying to mine with GPUs but I don't know whether they manage to be successful on this. Like you said, in present-day conditions it is really hard to succeed in this. So there is no need to cause your GPUs to be trash while doing this.  Grin

Biggest Bitcoin Whale Accounts Accumulating BTC, Says Crypto Analytics Firm Santiment https://dailyhodl.com/2021/03/23/biggest-bitcoin-whale-accounts-accumulating-btc-says-crypto-analytics-firm-santiment/

hum i wonder why? whales buying up so much Wink

It is totally normal of course. They are doing the very right thing now.  Grin  There are also many people who are thinking that buying at this level is insane. But I don't agree with them. Before anything else, buying Bitcoin is always logical if you are intending to make a long-term investment.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my gripe with the term "crash" on: March 25, 2021, 04:04:25 PM
so I have been in the game for quite some time now, buying/selling and even mining, being a native English speaker and too thick to learn other languages I have to suffice with what I have learnt, but the term "crash" every time the bitcoin drops 1% of its peek value is just absurd to me, As we have just dropped some due to tesla cashing out, and as far as I know, Every drop has been to some whale cashing out, so in what sense is this or any event like this ever a crash, this is a supply and demand, a crash is a critical error of the system! I am just fed up of watching you tubers saying there is a massive crash, no its a massive market correction people, The term crash imply  there is something  fundamentally wrong with the algorithm (like a 51% attack) and should seriously worry about our investment choices.

i am not worried, it will get there, massive ups with massive downs, and it would be a lot less if these videos and blogs would not hype the trend.

am I alone?

A one percent drop has nothing to do with a "crash". I don't use that term even when the price comes down at a very high rate. We could consider it as a "sharp decrease" rather than a "crash".
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin? on: March 25, 2021, 03:56:18 PM
surely someone will try to buy it. This is a big adoption made by Tesla, of course this will have the support of some of the big holders of bitcoin. They will try to buy a Tesla car using bitcoin payments. wait for sure some videos of people buying Tesla cars with bitcoin.
I don't understand why some people try to buy a car with bitcoin, bitcoin goes beyond the value of a car and anyone who invests in bitcoin understands this, it's hard to believe that some people want to experience the feeling of buying a Tesla car with bitcoin. Perhaps this was a new joke from Elon Musk to make the market more interesting but unfortunately, was too familiar with his joke and the market reacted against expectations, the clear signal that people hate buying a car with bitcoin and they prefer to hold bitcoin, the accumulation phase has started again

I haven't any doubt that there will absolutely be some people who will want to buy Tesla with BTC. Depending on the amount of BTC you have, you could actually buy a Tesla and experience how it feels ilke. If you don't have too many Bitcoins, I don't think it is worth spending it on a car instead of continuing to HODL it.
