261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptsy could be working on fractional reserve. on: June 12, 2014, 05:36:53 AM
Gox claimed hacks the reason of the lose of coins however this is not related with criptsy but anyway i wouldnt be using an exchange that delays hours or days the wirhdrawals, all the exchanges outhere (btc-e, mintpal) etc have cold storage and their withdrawals are almost instantly so thats not a reason.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: June 12, 2014, 05:28:57 AM
What average price did you get per bitcoin?

His house was listed for $405,000 CDN, and he received 648 BTC, so $625 CDN, that's what, $575 USD?

Current Virtex price is $678 so he's turned his $400,000 into $439,344 in how long?

Not bad.

The real fun is yet to come.

Ahhh, the joys of holding.

 Smiley

I think this topic can be famous when we start counting in millions like the pizza bitcoin, but this topic will be the opposite that means a good investment
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin listed on Yahoo Finance on: June 12, 2014, 05:26:18 AM
wow, thanks! That and expedia accepting bitcoin now, lots of bullish news, tell that to bitstamp...

Bitstamp knows that there is mass of leveraged longs just waiting to cash out on it's arse should it start buying up the Ask Wall with it's undiluted and unleveraged capital. Bitstamp would prefer that these longs were squeezed so Bitstamp can buy it's coins cheaper.

Well maybe thats why we havent seen the price go to where it belongs, it should be 800 minimum at this point.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: June 12, 2014, 02:56:21 AM
I will not get tired of saying it, if Bitcoin value drops or get skyrocket, maybe we are very very rich or not, but the truly important thing is

that as all the new creations, the Bitcoin will cause the entire humanity to evolve and make our lifes easier, as the recent social Networks

and a endless quantity of inventions
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite positive Bitcoin news story so far this year? on: June 12, 2014, 02:43:01 AM
My one was that a lot of bad/useless whispering about Bitcoin weren't true or didn't happen.

Our baby stays alive and growing fast, every good news of it are good
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50 cent accepts Bitcoin as payment for his new album on: June 12, 2014, 02:32:04 AM
Good, maybe 50cent doesn't even know a bean about Bitcoins but i think things like this increase it's popularity both Bitcoin and the Artist, i

as a musician, am personally glad of this because Bitcoin opens an endless lot of opportunities for us.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia Accepts Bitcoin on: June 12, 2014, 02:10:45 AM
Amazing ! Not just because it will affect the prices and some will lose and others will win money, as every innovation or new tech, Bitcoin

help us to improve quality of life and make a lot of things more comfortable; in this case travel-booking.

269  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best music video clips on: June 11, 2014, 11:14:38 PM
It would be awesome if we could build a crypto currency based platform for music...
270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about making trading site ? ? ? on: June 11, 2014, 08:29:35 PM
It takes more than just IT skill to run an exchange.

You need someone who know the in and out of bitcoin to operate one.

This, its not like you just hire some coder and you have your exchange ready.. if you dont make it with  some highly qualified persons in bitcoin and money transfer area, far from having a profit , you will get burned having all the wallet drained by someone
271  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin became the world (Reserve) currency on: June 11, 2014, 08:21:06 PM
If bitcoin becomes a world reserve currency then its ok but dont try to ally it with fractionals systems.. is the last thing we want in bitcoin, debt , crisis and useless monetary system
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Central Banks and DEBT-Based Fiat is ultimately doomed to fail. on: June 04, 2014, 08:06:18 PM
Instead of printing more money when needed, central banks should return to using gold or bitcoin to back their currencies.

Gmuer contacted CNBC in response to comments by ING senior economist Teunis Brosens, who said central banks are technically unable to go bust.

“If the central bank needs money, it just turns on the printing press to buy whatever it needs,” Brosens told CNBC. “When the [U.S. Federal Reserve] wanted to buy assets as part of its [quantitative easing] programs, it did not first have to borrow the funds to do so, as an ordinary individual or company would need to.”

The Stock Market Crash of 2008

Rock Bottom

In September of 2008, the American economy was sent reeling. The New York Stock Exchange plummeted on numerous occasions. The stock market fell 345 points in one day on September 5th. By the end of the month, the stock market had lost 20% of its entire value.
274  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bashar Assad wins Syria presidential election with 88.7% of vote on: June 04, 2014, 07:56:39 PM
That would be the same reason why republicans have much higher turnouts in American elections... most the demos are just trying to make ends meet and have so many other pressing problems and so many other things working against them trying to keep them away from the polls.
275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nobody owns any bitcoin (well basically nobody!) on: June 04, 2014, 06:30:45 PM
"600 bucks for a currency. Are you kidding me? I'd rather buy the latest smartphone." These are the words of my gym buddy.

That'll be the slow adopter guy that finally buys some in like 2017, when it is completely safe, secure, easy to use, talked about constantly on the news worldwide, and every friend, family member, financial institution, and favorite merchant in his neighborhood is doing the "bitcoin thing" because it's the new cool and accepted thing everwhere.  And it'll be like $50K/btc, but he'll finally have that "aha!" moment that he can buy a small fraction of it to quickly and easily purchase coffee or dinner with.   Roll Eyes

People thought I was an out-of-my-mind uncool geek when I was sporting a Palm Treo 650 smartphone back in 2005 (yeah, the clunky looking one with the stubby antenna).  Some guys and especially women used to say that it was ridiculously big and uncool looking, and that having useful apps on your phone was stupid.  Now EVERYBODY including women has a smartphone or phablet that is actually bigger than the clunky Palm phone I used to have, go figure.

Well thats why we should start talking in mBTCs, like rpitelia, you should talk with your friend hey, i just have 1500 mbtcs.. you should buy some, the price is really cheap, 0.660 usd for one. Talking like this i think he wouldnt even ask whats a mbtc, he will just think its the same bitcoin all are talking.
276  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BEST UFO sites? on: June 04, 2014, 06:26:32 PM
Certainly. People see things moving in the sky all the time which they can't identify. A trained astronomer or meteorologist might be able to identify these things without any difficulty, but the vast majority of UFOs are reported by people who rarely if ever look at the sky, and are unaware of what normally happens there.
277  Economy / Economics / Re: advantage bitcoin over other payment methods online on: June 04, 2014, 05:53:16 PM
Anonymity is what it offers and from what I hear darkcoin does a better job of it.

Anonymity isn't much use if nobody will take your money. Try spending a darkcoin.

although, bitcoin can be anonimous too, there are several bitcoin anonimizers.. i think that idea from darkcoin is good but not something really new.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true? is The Fed and DEBT-Based Fiat dollars ultimately doomed to fail ?? on: June 04, 2014, 05:50:03 PM
Several conditions must be in place before the dollar could collapse. First, there must be an underlying weakness. Second, there must be a viable currency alternative for everyone to stampede into. Third, a triggering event would need to occur.

Some see Bitcoin as a new world currency. That's because it is not managed by any one country's central bank. Instead, it is created, managed and spent online, although it can be used at brick-and-mortar stores that accept it.

279  Economy / Services / Re: $10,000 for information $50,000 for conviction. OgNasty on: June 04, 2014, 05:23:34 PM
Goat, OgNasty, get the fuck along.

Jesus Christ. Goat, grow up a bit, eh?

OgNasty, stop attacking Goat.

Bunch of children here --  Roll Eyes

What do you mean by that ?

Goat scammed people. OgNasty made a scam accusation.
Goat got pissed , he made a fake bounty.

This is not the first trusted user Goat has made a fake bounty on , if you check his trust , gmaxwell put a neg trust for Goat for doing the same thing , paying people a fake bounty for spreading fake information about the person who showed his scams.

Damn, both parties should go to take a coffe and stop spamming the forum with their children fights, and this is more directly to Goat, hes the one creating topics and not posting inside the ones who are already created..
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nobody owns any bitcoin (well basically nobody!) on: June 04, 2014, 05:18:56 PM
