i hope OP is not putting all of his eggs in 1 basket.. that'd be a bad idea.

He may have put most his inheritance in Bitcoin but he is hopefully building a career in parallel

OP will be able to upgrade to a bigger house in the future.  Smiley
Selling "a few" for any sized profit is also a good idea.

2 tactics:

1. Don't put all your eggs in one basket
2. Put all your eggs in one basket AND THEN WATCH THAT FUCKING BASKET!!11

What average price did you get per bitcoin?

His house was listed for $405,000 CDN, and he received 648 BTC, so $625 CDN, that's what, $575 USD?

Current Virtex price is $678 so he's turned his $400,000 into $439,344 in how long?

Not bad.

The real fun is yet to come.

Ahhh, the joys of holding.

buy another (bigger) house or multiple houses at the peak, sell at bottom

He's all in.

He can't buy those bigger or multiple houses until he's sold some at the peak.

Then he can worry about buying more at bottom.

One step at a time.

I think this topic can be famous when we start counting in millions like the pizza bitcoin, but this topic will be the opposite that means a good investment

I think this topic can be famous when we start counting in millions like the pizza bitcoin, but this topic will be the opposite that means a good investment

That would be kind of neat instead of the most expensive Pizza in the world this would be perceived as
The best investment and decision a user made when the price of Bitcoin was still affordable.

You may be interested to know that if bitcoin went all the way, and became the worlds reserve currency you would probably only
need about BTC0.02 to represent the wealth of your average current western middle class (top 18%) of world. So your BTC600 should go quite a way.

I have to say, if I wasn't married, i'd be joining you in selling up the house.

I am back Smiley Been busy doing other things since I sold my house for bitcoin, and haven't really been following the price that closely. I check every so often and lo and behold it is back to $660+ right now!!!!!!! Well it looks like my $400K investment is going to make me a millionaire very soon. Now back to what I was doing... enjoying life.

Apparently he is a young man with nerves made out of steel.
Indeed he will become something great.

Young men have life ahead, not back. If he were 60 yrs old about to retire it would be smarter to look for investment with less volatility but he is able to build his life even if he lost every penny in bitcoin.
That's the attitude of strong hands.

BTW, while people are screaming here crash, I am buying a little every now and then.  Wink Perhaps I am crazy while I ignore all the stupid charts that shows bitcoin crashing back to the levels it was a couple months ago (360 USD).

I think he's probably the guy in the pit:

I don't think we're crashing either. And a crash now would only be a flash kind of thing, I guess.

Something doesn't add up. If Bitcoin became the world's reserve currency, then each Bitcoin would be worth $1 million. 0.02 BTC would only be worth $20,000 which would be enough to buy you a car or two but is nowhere near enough to buy a house.

Unless you were talking about just the savings that people have in fiat. Then the $20,000 figure makes more sense.
