Hi, is it correct, that stock voltage of fixed frequency firmware is 940?
9.4V is the max voltage limit programmed into the default firmware.

What is the fee that you charge for replacing a fan?
|
|
|
ok. They melt at 120 degrees.... So 110 should be fine...
Am i missing something here?
Well, of course it does decrease the lifespan... but seeing as the T9+ thermal protection kicks in at 110C chip temps, it shouldn't be hot enough to instantly damage any components.

I have an Antminer S9 that keeps resetting its pools to factory default. FW version is 2017 Jan 24 but when I try to upgrade I get this error: System Upgrade Failed
cp: write error: Input/output error cp: can't create '/mnt/upgrade/upgrade/soc_system.rbf': No space left on device cp: can't create '/mnt/upgrade/upgrade/upgrade-marker.bin': No space left on device https://i.stack.imgur.com/0XCiK.pngIt's highly unlikely that this machine was hijacked while in my possession, but it was used before I received it. Kernel log: https://pastebin.com/ZGKws3cVI blocked the default pools so it will not mine for bitmain, but I do need to figure out how to change the pools without the machine reverting back to the default pools.

after overclocking T9+ with full fan RPM, I am getting 15.5TH with 2300W PSU. BUT the tempruture goes to 110 degree. are you running your T9+ on 110 degree? is it safe? I don't want to burn the hashboard. please advice. I am running a T9+ with two boards at 850 MHz, peaking around 109C. It's been stable at that temp for weeks. I had disabled the temperature protection earlier and melted one of the chips in the low 120C range. So 110C should be fine.

Try to lower your frequency to keep the RT and Actual within 100 of each other. If you're on 8.9V go to 9v or 9.4v but remember it's more draw you can go higher if you have the amps!
By the Actual, are you referring to GH/s(avg) or GH/s(ideal) ?

GPUs are only profitable when mining altcoins. If you ask in the altcoin subforum, you will receive much better answers.

Is it just me or have S9's dropped A LOT in prices since I last checked ebay? I see some going for less than $300 with and without PSU. Those used to be S7 prices not long ago. What is going on? Did I miss something?
Yes, S9i 14.5th is only $361 new from bitmain. With a $55 coupon this makes the S9 very cheap now.

Accepting escrow? Can you show pictures with your name / date for proof of inventory? Might be interested in L3+.
Also with coupons, the S9i 14.5th models are only around $300 plus shipping - new with warranty.

If you can get it to work I could offer $40

... this is a $60m warehouse facility that has the main power contract that the 1000 amps is coming out of and you can come see it in person in LA if need be.
the numbers need to make sense before anything of substance is done ...
Yeah same strat here! I just stuck a miniUSB transformer into my TI-84 so it would output 1000 amps at 2 mVUnfortunately it sucked all the power out of the calculator so I wasn't able to check if all the numbers made sense

Hey, Thought I would share some pictures of corroded/burned/chipped fans off of various models of the Antminer S9 so that you can see how they look inside after they fail. https://imgur.com/gallery/YXWP6wQ

So after thinking about this, would you consider the xilinx zynq chip to be programmable?
Sure, in the sense that you can write shell scripts, install software, serve webpages, etc. But it would be impractical to use an antminer for anything besides mining.

I just found another post here on the forums about cutting the blue wire... and it worked :p thanks for the earlier reply with the information though, if you hadn't told me I might have tried the splicing.
Glad I could be of some help The blue wire tells the fan how fast you want it to spin, and the yellow one tells you how fast it is spinning. I had assumed "the signal" to mean the yellow wire. Generally if you are using a 3-pin fan or the blue wire has been removed, the fan will spin as fast as possible.

I haven't grabbed a voltmeter yet to figure out which is which, but could we just jump the speed signal wire with the hot wire and make the fan run full speed all the time?
If you cross the +V with tachometer you will get the maximum reading of 255. Since the fans read rpm in multiples of 120, 255 * 120 = 30600 RPM. At least with the latest version of the firmware (Nov 2017), the software understands that the tachometer has shorted, and will stop mining if either fan has the 30600 rpm speed.

Ps: Taserz, you will notice that I do not allow myself to insult you, in spite of a BMMINER who completely burned my minor ... I just hope that my message will not be suppressed like all the others! and maybe one day it will be able to discuss it amicably !!! taserz clearly indicated at the top of the thread that "This is made for the 13.5th and 14th S9i." Nowhere at all does he mention anything about putting it onto the T9+. As far as I know you are the first to brick a T9+ with his S9 firmware mod.

I want make RPM fan lower.. because 6320 RPM is very high..
How can make it?
Just change bitmain-fan-pwm to something lower, like 50 or 60%.

Bitmain does allow coupons, and you can only use one coupon per miner. You can submit requests at https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/requests/newSometimes Bitmain will fulfill orders with UPS, but not for much more than 200 miners at once. Otherwise they will likely be shipped in a container and then loaded onto a freight truck. I haven't seen any large mining farms not use PDUs. It just factors into the cost of setup. Good PDUs can support 10-15 miners each if you set everything up right.
