Alright,

I backed up my old wallet, installed 0.0.0.3, placed the wallet.bin in the Roaming folder and it now shows about 1/10 of my old coins. But it seems stuck on block 3317?

We are in that block, is only a visual bug

K, thx Smiley

Next question: I have 1/10th of my old coins as confirmed balance and my old balance as unconfirmed aswell as a lot of old transactions still stuck on confirming. Will those ever clear?

Hey,

I haven't checked in lately, could a kind person please bring me up to date?

I mined on the Scrypt version and have some NUD in my wallet, I think it's still 0.0.0.1, maybe .2.

Can I safely update to 0.0.0.3 without losing my coins?

Thanks in advance Smiley

Make a backup of your wallet.dat.
Delete everything else.
You should get 1/10 of your mined coins back.
That's the exchange rate becauseof fixing algorithm which supposed to be bcrypt not scrypt from the very beggining :p

Be careful, though. Apparently, there is a list of addresses, and if you're not on the list, chances are that you won't get your funds back. Or you'll have to explicitly ask for them. Probably the first semi-anonymous cryptocurrency Wink

To be sure, you may want to keep a copy of the old blockchain in order to have a proof if coins turn out to be missing after the "exchange".

Thanks to everyone who replied.

WIll that exchange happen automatically by resetting the blockchain?

Hey,

would it be possible to implement a "Zero Transactions" function for the pools?

So one can reset the "Total Paid"? I like to keep tabs about my daily mining efforts and such.

after 9 days reward is halving, so after half a year rewards will be tiny, after a year astronomically small. WHats up with that? Even merged mined there will be no more incentive to mine. How will the blockchain be secured?

greed will, because the price per coin will be high  Smiley

yeah, was thinking the same. give it two weeks in this market and there'll be no hash to confirm blocks.. :/

wtb 7,000 RZR @ 8,000 sat = 0.54 BTC
pm if interested

I think you might just wait a little and get them a bit cheaper on coins-e.

When does POW end?  at what block

This is no POS coin, is it?

We are sorry for the delays, we received 100+ pms and messages in the last 24 hours, with a rather big amount trying to falsify claims which just delay the real claims even further.

We would like to say that this isn't a free hand out and if you are claiming please don't waste our time if you are just trying to get free Kore as we do investigate to make sure.

Also more information coming out shortly we are sorry things have been pushed back a bit but we are trying to Mae things right an secure for the miners who are the backbone of Kore.

thanks for the update. take the time you need.

you're doing weel, just take your time and don't rush things.

thats no problem, i will wait no problem about that...just curious if he will pay that amount... this would prove a lot about dev..

he has paid others so he will as long people are telling the truth, lying about how much people have mined would only cause delay and no payment, i don't know how many coins he has or how many need to be given, so im sure he will do what he can, if some people cannot be paid, then dev will let them know and things would just have to move on. you can see from the pre-mine address payments have been sent, which was meant to be for the development of the coin, which already says alot about the dev

i m ight not be super literate on the subject but orphaned blocks mean someone got them (maybe dev) just not u so the coins ARE out there right ?  so maybe we get our coins if dev is true to his word anyway i am legit dev can go to ipominer.com ask the operater if user SPAYSE lost a bunch of coins when the coin went bust he will see i am out of pocket and very sad

no. orphaned blocks hold no coins.

and if a coin forks due to everybody mining on the biggest pool it's not the dev's fault either.

dev wouldn't need to compensate anyone for that, it's just how things go on coins with a fast pow.

Hey dev,

if you want this coin to live just hold off on the "whitepaper".

Implement the anon function, test it properly and then release it.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v2.2 on: June 18, 2014, 10:42:26 AM
Running 3 270s with 1120/1500 averaging 730h/s for all three.

Edit: Just updated to 2.2 and that puts me at 820ish it seems. Nice Smiley

Edit: 830ish.

No pools?
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 15, 2014, 08:00:30 PM
Everybody,

Want to join the fastest/most efficient pool? http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#

This Monero mining pool has 3x faster share validation and lowest orphan rate on the market, thanks to Wolf's private code.

If you are mining using Wolf's miner, the fastest miner ever for CPU, you may find that Wolf's pool the best option because of his superior code optimization skill. He optimizes the CPU miner. Now he optimizes the pool software.

Hey,

joined your pool and everything seems to be fine but I get around 100h/s less on your pool than moneropool.org. Used to be 730 and it's 630 on yours.. Any idea why? Can you provide a GPU mining port with the same diff as monerpool.org?
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 15, 2014, 07:38:16 PM
dam...moneropool.org offline...got vps servers on it....im loosing money  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Seems to be back on but I can't connect. What port is everybody using?
port 80 here no connection

All ports seem dead, so where are those 350 miners mining then?

http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/ is doing finde so I'll switch for the time being.

278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY] [VIA] Viacoin Logo Contest on: June 15, 2014, 01:26:32 PM
I'm going to submit something different of what OP suggested. Its a V and an upside A that forms a road, since "via" is also a route.

let me know what you think about it, i'll improve it if it looks ok.

Missing a bit of playful detail imo but very promising.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - X11 POW/POS Cryptocurrency for StarCraft fans. No premine. on: June 13, 2014, 08:14:45 AM
As I see it - some lessons that can be learned

Despite some minor irritations annoying a few prolific - and ill-tempered - posters this has been a pretty smooth launch.

That said I think the devs were too accommodating when some miners whined about the need to ban "anyone who's getting more than me". I personally saw no problem with the initially-proposed 300MH worker limit, even though I control just 4 rigs with a net x11 hash rate of 40MH if I'm really lucky. People want to take the risk of hiring some hash power for a new coin they can not move because there are no wallets? Good for them, although they stand to lose mightily if we do not develop a community around this crypto-currency.

On the point of community, what's with the ethnic insults that appeared on this thread? Are you children? You need to learn some manners. Civility is a minimum requirement for community.

With regard to the devs being too accommodating, the rushed change to a one-worker limit was not really fair to miners engaging in that universally-practiced activity, sleeping. At the very least time zones should have been considered and pools located in regions where local time was between say midnight and 08:00 should have been left as-were with warnings posted. Granted, other users would have rushed to mine there but the devs control all the pools - just turn off new account creation on those pools until limits are imposed. There really was no need to waste their hash power.

With regard to the panic and intemperate posts over some miners having more hash power than others, why is that an issue? The wallets and source code have not yet been released, no one can sell before you have the opportunity to do so. Strip-mining pools have been excluded, they can not flood the market and kill the coin value. Reading the posts it really does look like a case of "Stop those people! They're getting more than me!". Really guys? So how many of the complainers and demanders for immediate action have pointed their rig(s) at blackcoin pool for a day or two to enter their promotional draw for the 300MHs knc titan miner give-away? I imagine if they won such a thing they would be somewhat less inclined to restrict people's hash rates.

People need to calm down and devs need to take a bit more control. A few whingers do not a community make. Do what is good for the coin rather than simply oiling the squeakiest wheels. Unless you give one coin to every one of the world's citizens you are not likely to get a much fairer launch than this. The sudden switch to a one-worker limit was ill-conceived and hastily implemented. I imagine many people are like me, seeing ridiculous rejection rates even though we couldn't reach a 50MHs limit with rocket boosters.

On the whole a pretty good launch but please devs, take a little more control and accommodate the jealous, greedy and petulant a little less. Community isn't "all about me".

Yup, agree. Good launch.

If Devs deliver on the wallet and exchanges then I say this is a pretty good idea. Limiting hash, holding off the coins and taking a procedural 1% fee from miners. Usually you get up to 2% premine anyways AND have to pay the pool fees.

And if those megafarm owners can't get rich off this I couldn't care less. Go mine at a multipool or rape some other coin, you would be dumping anyways so who needs you? No one, that's who.

dev, you need to get the exchange situation sorted asap...bittrex already said they wont support this.

Proof or GTFO.

So many trolls already. Why are you wasting your time hating a coin that just launched? Seriously.. can't you troll on 4chan or some random IRC?
