quick question: which myriad algos can be mined on 750ti cards right now?
scrypt, sha256 (if you are desperate), groestl, I think it isn't the same groest than in groestlcoin no it's a different groestl version as far as i read. so none of the other algorithms? bummer.. skein and qubit are so good. I guess they will come as part of the X11 release Actually if you want myriad just help them complete the list of coin per algo, you'll get 200Myr per coin (which is more than I ever mined...) nah, i'm already stocked up. just pondering the idea of building a low energy 750ti rig for exclusively mining myriad in addition to my amd one. |

brazil might be one of the few places where the name "myriad" might actually work..
This is the problem with behind closed doors deals, you can't give out too many details. MYR will not be rebranding in any way. There will only be partial rebranding of a built wallet for the brazilian people. This does not affect the MYR community in any way. What we are doing with Brazil with the help of the nice people at Blocktech we can later do with other countries to and with a little luck Myriad might just become a coin for ALL countries open to cryptocurrency. On a sidenote. Will someone with some design skills download the graphic files from the MYR github and start working a rough draft for a Brazilian wallet design ?ON IT LIKE MUSTARD ON A SANDWHICH! will get in contact via irc. |

Man the difficulty is getting too much for my little hashing power. I am down to only 100 coins a day.
And I don't won't to give up the coin but I might not have a choice.

Once upon a time long long ago, the cryptocurrency community was divided by a great gpu vs cpu civil war. Cpu miners were mad they could no longer get many bitcoins with their intel celerons and the migration to scrypt started. The original implementation of scrypt was a short term fix that only kept GPU’s down for a few months. Fast forward to today, gpu miners arn’t as rare as they once were and there is a new enemy in town. The EVIL ASIC!

Aiden uses an optimized version of scrypt that is 8x less memory intensive than traditional scrypt. GPU miners will get more out of their hardware AND mine a coin that is currently asic resistant. Remember, nothing is ASIC intolerant, but the cost to develop an asic for Scrypt-OG is currently a deterrent. i'm mining this right now. not much of an advantage compared to scrypt, power draw is a bit less. on 3 270s i have 530 with scrypt and 450 with scryptOG. i'd want to see regular scrypt n or jane? |

Anyone test out the power consumption of this algo? I don't have any Kill-A-Watt meter at hand at the moment.
bit less than regular scrypt. usually my rig uses 530, with aiden it's 445 right now. so not that much.. |
