It should only help the value of each bitcoin, as supply is lowered, but demand continues to grow.  Since Bitcoins can be divided into as small of piece as they need to be, this should not have an effect on the total volume in US Dollars. 

Interesting piece which was just published on CrowdFundingForum, which looks as ways in which both Crowdfunding and Bitcoin could work together to really hurt the Banking systems of the world.

This survey in itself was a good way to promote Bitcoin.  Those 77% likely did a google search for Bitcoin.  Having said this, I agree that the whole system needs to become more user friendly, whether by means of third party exchanges/markets or bitcoin itself,.  Until then it will be hard to see things go mainstream in my opinion

My thinking was that the more people we can get involved in Bitcoin the better, and MLM's spread like wild fire meaning ti would spread the Bitcoin idea as well.

Ponzi schemes?  There are many legitimate MLM's out there, many which are multi million dollar companies. 

How did you Find out about Bitcoin?  What was your initial reaction?

I am surprised that Bitcoin hasn't taken off in MLM and HYIP circles yet.  This could be a tremendous market for Bitcoin, one that could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars and one that could bring tens of thousands of new faces to the currency.  Also online payment systems like Liberty Reserve, Perfect Money and Solid Trust pay see Millions of dollars in transactions each week.  Someone needs to make a masice MLm out of Bitcoin and promot it on site like http://Moneymakergroup.com and http://Talkgold.com In my opinion.

I think it's nice to see.  I think it would be a nice shot in the arm of Multi level marketing programs and such adopted Bitcoin on a mass scale.  Would certainly bring in a lot of new fans.  Talkgold really isn't a bad forum.  Maybe some of the ads are iffy, but the point of the forum is to help people avoid any scams.

I wonder what it would be like if each coin was worth $10,000.  That means that .0001 bitcoins would be worth $1.  If it were to become the defacto currency, do you guys think there would be sub currencies emerge which are based solely on Bitcoins?

In my mind there is no doubt that other exchanges will emerge on the scene.  Just give it time.  Once we have 2-3 stable popular exchanges, things will be incredibly more stable IMO.

Give a pretty good argument for how far the price of one bitcoin may go.   Opinions?

What happens when the amount of bitcoins you can mine drastically decreases?  Won't there be a lack of computer power to encrypt things and thus mess the whole system up?

Coinbase.  Yes it's a wallet service.  Seems pretty simple though and has silcon valley backers.  I'm sure security is one of their top prioroties

Bitcoin currently is a bit confusing to those normal internet users who aren't savy with the latest tech news.  I think something like coinbase will help in alleviating that confusion.  Its modeled after paypal but doesn't charge any transaction fees.  Should catch on well.
