The client will be available to download in 4 minutes.

The website (http://polcoin.org) does not link to the wallet it takes you to a login screen.

Here is the link:
http://hostuje.net/file.php?id=bd6ce85b53e461e3f32b3094bfdad58c

addnodes, ports ?

That just shows a login screen. Do I need to create an account there to download the wallet?

OK, let's see. Now while waiting for the launch... there is a song for this coin Wink

pointless really. What can it provide that other crypto cant?  without innvation all copy and paste clones are a waste of time.
And what about DEM? It's a "local" altcoin and it's been quite successfull, also sha-256. Let's try it.
Go Poland Smiley

PS.
Are there any pools ready to this launch? Diff can jump very quickly.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Deutsche eMark - DEM - altcoin SHA256 POS/POW on: January 19, 2014, 01:03:06 PM
i have sick usb miner and i joined http://dem.easy-mining.net/ poll, and i downloaded cgminer v3.10.

what is next step to do so i can mine coins ?

thx
If your miner is sick you need to visit a doctor first Wink

But seriously, it's very easy: create a worker in this pool and start cgminer:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://dem.easy-mining.net:3333 -u your_miner -p your_miner_password -r 9999 -q

and start mining Smiley

268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: January 15, 2014, 08:42:44 PM
Hi, does anyone know where to find a guide explaining how to mine Zetacoin using digital ocean servers ? I did it for Dogecoin but I'm not sure how to change to Zeta ?
Thanks !
I'm not sure if it would be effective for a sha256 coin. VPS can mine scrypt coins with low diff or CPU-only coins.

The new GUI looks amazing! I hope this coin has bright future. But... have you checked if it is ok from the legal point of view to use the "DEM" ticker and "Deutsche Emark" name?

271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] A new forum for alternative crypto coins. on: January 14, 2014, 05:49:56 PM
I would like to see the following main boards:

  • sha256 coins
  • scrypt coins
  • hybrid coins

It would be clear and easy to navigate. Something like cryptocointalk.com

Seems the transition has started. All my cards dropped from 6Mhash to roughly 4,5Mhash.

Is there a compiled CPU miner for scrypt-jane with stratum support?

Not compiled, but sources https://github.com/ali1234/cpuminer
It should help find compiled version.
I've compiled it on debian smoothly but it seems it supports only getwork, not stratum:

Code:

7. Get some coins and start mining – remember that mining is proof of stake only!

Could you explain this step better? I'm currently download nxt-client-0.5.5, launch, great. How to mine?
Since this is PoS only coin you need some coins to start mining... The more the better. You can purchase Nxt on dgex.com

Denmark.
+1

Or Sweden, maybe Norway.
It's cold out there and lack of sun for many months, but they have the highest life standards in the world and one of the healthiest economies. Unfortunately high taxes too...

This is a total FAIL.

Bytecoin was started in spring 2013 as bitcoin 1:1 copy and it's been quite well.

The real Bytecoin is BTE:

And the logo you use if from Betacoin:

What a fail...

The link to donwload the miner for scrypt jane doesnt work...please help!
The new miner hasn't been released yet. It'll be released a bit before or at the same time as the wallet.

New miner?? you have coded out an entirely new miner for scrypt-jane?
I think last jane miner version is made by yacoin.
Maybe they mean just settings.

I hope this scrypt-jane CPU miner will work:
