261  Economy / Gambling / Re: Diggit.io | Over Dice? | 700+ BTC Already Invested! | 1% edge | social gaming on: December 07, 2014, 05:11:00 PM
But I'm also offering info how I did it (how I bypassed CloudFlare) so he can properly setup and never be ddosed again. Too bad, he is not interested.

I'm pretty sure there are other sources for that knowledge that don't require you to support some selfish guy who is hurting the Bitcoin ecosystem.

I thought the customary process was to report bugs and get a bounty from the site owner?  I know CF paid Wilco for some of his bug reports.  I understand wanting to be compensated for your expertise in helping the site, it just seems like there is a more constructive way.
262  Economy / Gambling / Re: Diggit.io | JUST LAUNCHED! | Play or Invest | 1% h/e | 490+ BTC Already Invested on: December 02, 2014, 01:40:17 AM
I logged in and played thanks to user Jerk who graciously fronted me 10 bits.  Very different than dice games but good that I don't live near any real minefields as I developed a talent for hitting mines on my first click.

I liked the investor list and the fact that anyone can use multiples of risk if they want.  And despite stunna's warnings, I like investment, but agree it is a risk and agree YOU give up most of the profits.
I liked the ability to send bits to other users in chat, you may want to put how you do that in the FAQ as I just stumbled upon it.  Beware beggars though.  They can ruin chat.  If you can't monitor the chat have some mods that can ban beggars.
I liked the idea of spectators and the ability to block them.
Lots of sites allow you to save a "secret link" rather than set a user/password.  You may want to consider this for people just checking out the site.
You may want to allow a "play money" option, at least early on so people can get the feel for the payouts of the game.  You may also want to alter the payout number from amount mined to amount won as at first I was confused if I had to "work back up" to my initial bet.  Turns out I didn't.

Good luck with your site!
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trying to predict Bitcoin's price in 2015 through crowd wisdom on: December 02, 2014, 12:37:04 AM
There were a lot of pop ups but I was happy to participate.  I've seen similar claims made in the past, given how often experts are wrong, why not?
264  Economy / Services / Re: BitDice.me - Signature Campaign! [STARTED][ESCROWED] on: November 08, 2014, 10:39:46 PM
i think OP should be back by 9th as per a communication i had with him. I don't think this campaign will continue for another 2 weeks because it looks like he has already over-shot his budget. Lets wait and watch though!

It doesn't look like he's going to make it back by the 9th.  While he may end the broad campaign - visibility here is good - I hope he'll continue it in at least a shadow mode for people who play on the site.

I hope he is reaching a good return, if I was higher level I would want in on this campaign, it is very generous.
265  Other / Meta / Re: Trust improvements on: November 08, 2014, 10:31:44 PM
I made three improvements to the Trust system:

Firstly, there is now a neutral rating type. Neutral ratings don't affect a person's trust score at all. On a person's trust page, positive ratings are bold, neutral ratings are italic, and negative ratings are red bold-italic.

Thanks for improving the trust system!  Can I change my current trust feedback from one rating to another?  I see delete but not "edit" when I go to revisit my rating.

Thanks!
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015? on: November 04, 2014, 01:10:02 AM
No.  We'll be lucky if it makes it back to 1000 USD.  I am so sad that bitcoin has not rallied or at least stayed even this year.  Maybe we will get a big year end price move up like last year.
267  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hufflepuff Making 1000 Bitcoin Profit On PrimeDice on: November 03, 2014, 12:48:20 AM
He's back down to 1200.  I just don't get it, why keep going?  Is there really that much more he can do with 1,317 BTC than he can do with 1,293?  I was worried for Stunna until I realized this guy might not walk away a winner.
268  Other / Meta / Re: why im not sr member? on: October 25, 2014, 07:24:01 PM
Because you don't know how to search or read stickies.

One of the nicer take downs that applies to a lot of posts on this board.

Maybe require at least a click through page of "how things work" during the account registration process?
269  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Giveaway] 100000 coins on reddice.me! on: October 25, 2014, 02:42:29 AM
This is legit, but yes, there is no on site way to get a starting stake to reach level 1.  You only have to bet a total of 10,001 redd, so 98% is your friend.
270  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 12, 2014, 09:58:33 PM
I started with faucet to get a feel of the game. I was new to dicing until I came to play at primedice so the faucet is how I learned to play. I went from freeloading the faucet to wagering 550+ BTC.

I am a regular on Primedice and deposit a few times per week, but in between those deposit I depend on the faucet to have fun. What will we do while waiting for a deposit that can take more than an hour?

Faucet, leveling up, and tips is what keeps me coming back to this site. Everything factors into the user experience and these things is what keeps people hook on your site.

If another dice site copys you and open up a faucet, they will take away 70-80% of your regular customers.

Stunna, if you value the user experience and the "fun" factor to the game, please leave faucet as is.

This is really well put and I think EarthBound is probably the "happy model" for what you expected from the faucet.  End faucet abuse and the support spam that goes with it, not the faucet.

Thanks for Primedice!

I wish you luck, seriously.

However, most people think premined coins are virtual scams, and this seems to be premined by open invitation, which I guess is sort of interesting.  No one can accuse you of just allowing in your friends and sock puppets.

But the whole give up your phone number to get coins is just going to be a total deal killer.  I think you'll be hard pressed to get anyone to give that up for any amount of nothing that you can offer them - which is basically what free coins will be at an early stage.

However, there is a community building around the beta test over on the dice.me family of sites.  It's a start!

272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fake Chinese Bitcoins Crash Bitcoin Market on: October 06, 2014, 08:34:46 AM
Wait a minute, I thought China banned bitcoin!   Wink

Wasn't that the excuse for bitcoin dropping earlier in the year?  Now they are making thousands of fake ones?

I can see how it's possible, but we wont know until there is a run on one of the exchanges.  I can only imagine the bad fallout that will result from one of the leading Chinese exchanges blowing up in such a spectacular and corrupt manner.  So more bad for bitcoin.
273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is difference between cloud mining and HYIP ? on: October 05, 2014, 12:27:39 AM
HYIP = High Yield Investment Program; as others have noted, a very common scam wrapper, almost always a ponzi

Cloud Mining = buying mining power from others.  As Markov noted, almost impossible to make money, though very popular.  Can also be a scam wrapper.
274  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Definition of mBTC an uBTC on: October 02, 2014, 10:02:11 PM
Just use satoshi, so much easier. mBTC = 100K satoshi uBTC = 100 satoshi
275  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice.me 1%, 530฿+ INVESTED. JUST A BETTER PLACE TO DICE! on: October 02, 2014, 02:44:35 AM
With WoW heavily invested, AK having made a few raids (some successful and some not) and dooglus* stopping by, maybe the dice.me family of sites will make it to the next level after all!

*could have been an imposter, but not sure what the point would be
276  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice.me 1%, 150+BTC INV! INSTANT DEP&CASHOUT! INVEST|DIVEST! RAINBOT! on: September 18, 2014, 12:07:51 AM
I caught one or two of the rains and it was a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, it looks like some of the whales such as AK and ScryptHasher are losing faith as well as coins at the site.  The latter was especially key in getting people up and going on the reddcoin sister site.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REDDice.me - 1% INSTANT DEP&CASHOUT! INVEST\DIVEST! FAUCET! on: September 03, 2014, 12:08:01 AM
Thanks to ScryptHasher I joined the site and the rains were impressive.  He also helped new users out by giving them 10K Reddcoin so they could get to level 1 and actually get the rain.  If the site takes off thanks to what happened 24 hours ago, you owe him a lot of thanks.

While I was impressed and grateful I think there are lots of opportunities to improve your "chain" of sites.  I'd add a bet all button.  Not that I often bet all of my coins, but it can help if you want to martingale, you can bet all and then hit one half six, ten, or twelve times (or whatever) to see how long of a loss streak you'll be able to survive.

I would also add divest all and invest all.  Since investment is constantly changing it is hard to type in exactly how many coins you have invested.  When I gamble, I want to divest my coins so I'm not shooting against myself.

I do appreciate the clearly laid out levels.  At least there is little spam in chat.

278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: DogeDice.me - 4+ BILLION WAGERED! INSTANT DEP&CASHOUT! INVEST\DIVEST! FAUCET! on: August 31, 2014, 06:35:36 PM
I transferred in some doge and gambled up to level one.  However, your chat seems broken.  Lots of times I can't post to it even after logging out and back in, closing browser, etc.  I've missed several faucet chances.  I like what you are trying to do, but it does not seem to be working consistently right now.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: DogeDice.me - 4+ BILLION WAGERED! on: August 30, 2014, 07:15:58 PM
Yes, faucet was intended for players only, not to try the site. And during next week it will be changed to rain bot and it will rain only to active chat members. Yesterday we merged chats from reddice & dogedice, today we add bitdice & litedice into the system, I hope we can unify cryptocurrency community with such action, at least today we saw much more chat activity with different members and everyone liked it Smiley

Very interesting, thanks for explaining.  I assume it will not rain on 0 level payers, correct?

I noticed that the "players online" counter was not working, I guess because of the work going in to merging the systems.

How is your system going to handle all those difference currencies?  Is it just a merged chat between your dice sites or are you going to go to a multiwallet type system like Peerbet has?

Right now chat is not working for me at all, but I assume that's due to the work you are doing merging the systems.

If I am on at midnight I look forward to the trivia!  Thank you!

I registered an account.  I miss doge-dice and your site looks like it might scratch that itch.  Your site looks nice though the font on the chat is a little small.

I don't understand the point of the faucet.  You can't get it until you've gambled 10K doge, so it is obviously not to "try the site out."  Is it a reward for chatting or loyal users or what?  I'm not complaining, I'm just asking as I have not seen that kind of set up before.  I can see how it would prevent abuse.

I wish you and your site the best.
