One question, what's the energy price in your place, if it's higher than 0.05$ KWH, it will be really risky for you to mine anything, because you may cost around 30~40% of coin income for mining. If the price is comparatively low in your place, you would be better utilize these resource. For me, you could buy some potential coins, e.g., DeepOnion. The price is around 3$, but I believe it will raise to around 100$ soon....

The price is not so good I think, since the video cards are old model and I think it has been used for about 12 month I guess. In general, a video card can mine for about 24 month, if the card are mined more than 12 month, you can use it for about 1 year, and then you will sell it for the second hand.
My suggestion is that I will always buy the latest card to build my rig. Don't buy second hand, unless you know how long time it was used.

That's a good idea, but first thing I want to make sure. Do you have enough power supply for mining? I mean, you need to care about the total energy limit for mining, e.g., if you have a 100 rig, that means the energy consumption will be 100KW. In general, you cannot really rely on usual electricity network but you should construct special power net for 100KW.

I just turn to XMR these days since ETH is not so profitable recently. I always choose most profitable coin to mine. Before that, I try to mine SIGT, but it's not so profitable and a little bit difficult for transferring （You can only trade on Cryptopia）. So, I won't choose SIGT to mine, XMR is the first choice now.

If you are a professional rig with a huge amount of money, you should choose 1060 3GB or P106(Professional Miner Card), these two are the most popular choice in the rig group in China, another choice is 1070. And I assume you want to mine ETH or ETC.
If you want to mine DeepOnion, it will boom soon I think, you should buy a ASIC rig for X13.
Don't choose 1080Ti, you will regret, I really don't know which coin is better for 1080Ti (SIGT maybe, but it will turn to POS soon)

It is not easy to design ASIC for ETH, but it's possible, I also discuss with other guys for the possibility of ETH ASIC machine. It's possible but may not profitable, I see a lot of rumors for ETH mining machine these days especially when there is difficulty increase, someone jumps out and said "I heard there is ASIC machine for ETH", and then give me the video or picture to prove. ETH is going to POS at any time I guess, which will make mining Machine less possible.

I have three 1080Ti for mining, so I could give you some suggestions. I think the first priority is mining Zcash, since 1080Ti and Nvidia Titan have the almost same speed for Zcash (around 700 sol/s), about $3.5 per day. For ETH or ETC, it has less efficiency, since the GDDR5X memory is not so suitable for Ethhash. You can also try to mine XMR or SIGT, especially XMR, since the XMR price increase a lot recently, and SIGT is not so profitable as its beginning. For XMR or other CryptoNight algorithms, the hashrate will be around 1.1kH, that's really good speed, and around 16M hash/s for Skunkhash.
