If OP is openly advertising that he's selling 80% lower receivers he's going to get an inquiry from the ATF sooner or later.
An 80% lower is a hunk of metal. An 81% receiver is a regulated firearm. The ATF determines how compliant you are and issues a letter when they're satisfied.
OP's idea for a bolt-together lower receiver is basically a 99% and won't fly. Hopefully he understands how easy it easy to commit a felony and go to prison in this business.
Shipping the 2 halves separately to avoid these regs will land OP in prison.

Out of curiousity, how many of these letters have you seen?
Tactical Machining posted theirs. So there's one.

Yes, it's known that an 80% receiver is able to be sold with no licensing or shipping restrictions, and can be machined by the person who purchased it, for a completely legal firearm.
You're saying that this method is similar. It is nothing more than 2 blocks of aluminum (almost like the 80%), and requires some assembly before it can be used (just like the 80%).
Generally manufacturers of 80% lowers have a letter from BATF stating that they looked at their plans and a prototype and have approved it as an 80%. Where's OP's BATF letter?

When are you putting the code into git so I can get a hold of it, Josh said there should be one in the mail for me as well, I will be your verify if you want . Hackathon is underway. As soon as the code is in git master and working, I will inform the forum. EDIT: I've received one too now. Hah! So let's see your unboxing vidya then!

I smell coffee and donuts.

That's what I get for not reading.

Don't you have to build it to include scrypt?

Sign up to privacybox.de, and upload your public GPG key. Now clueless people will be presented with a friendly text box they can write you messages with that are automatically encrypted with your own key. This is great for accepting MtGox codes and other financial vouchers.
There's a message on the privacybox.de web site saying that they've reached "end of life" and are shutting down some time in the future.

Yes but it's what he learned in school and he thinks his prof is da shizznit.

I noticed this odd behavior using p2pool/LTC too. cgminer is happily hashing away but I'm no longer being paid.
I've stopped mining entirely anyway while waiting for my ASIC.
|
|
|
I finally stopped mining even LTC now. It's nice to have my PC back in a state where it's not sluggish and I can put the side cover back on.

Hi, I setup p2pool for my self to mine on, and I am using cgminer to mine on it. However when I start doing so, cgminer says it is finding shares but it does not show up on the p2pool screen. And when I connect to 127.0.0.1:9332 on my browser, it also says I have no shares, and my payout will be 0 BTC. Can someone help me?
You have to wait and be patient. Connect to your p2pool instance using your web browser and look at the data. If the local hash rate > 0 then you're good to go. p2pool shares are solved at a much lower rate than your cgminer shares. Depending on your hash rate it could take hours.

Here's your problem. M Even if i am using it to LTC ? Well then what version of Litecoin client are you using? Is it possible you're somehow connecting to the Bitcoin client instead?

use ad block element hider and add this to the list: Or log in and type https://btc-e.com/disableChat in the address bar. It disables the chat and stores the setting with your account settings. For some reason it's not a link anywhere on the web site, you have to type it in.

I started having the same problem with cgminer when I switched over to LTC (scrypt) mining. When I'm mining LTC it's as if cgminer's api port isn't listening.
As a science experiment I switched back to BTC mining and Anubis could connect again.
I posted this on the cgminer thread but it was ignored.

A sad commentary on our times where "connecting with people" means typing and reading in the Trollbox.
|
|

Do what I did. Disable the Trollbox. It's literally 99% pure drivel.

You're not supposed to take it out of MtGox
It's like the Hotel California. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave.

I can't seem to monitor cgminer (2.11.4) with a web front end (Anubis) when I'm scrypt mining. If I do normal BTC mining it works fine. I've tried to explicitly set the api port to 4028 using the --api-port switch but it still doesn't work.

|
|
I did another git clone and got the latest version and it seems to work much better. I'm getting about 50/min now
I was having problems where cgminer would be mining away happily except I wasn't earning any LTC any more (like today). I'll find out in a few hours if this was fixed too. Was there a LTC hard fork I didn't know about?
