261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why GOV is not supporting the CRYPTOCURRENCY LIKE OTHER NEW TECHNOLOGY??? on: April 01, 2018, 03:59:42 PM
One word, volatility. That's the best word to describe why the government is not supporting the newly developed technology that is running by experts this time around. It's so sad for them not to see the use of our cryptocurrency.

Yeah may be this could be the prime reason but I also see something fishy, for example, if they get the crypto currency used by themselves then they could end up in tragedy of loosing the control over fiat currencies. I mean if they start accepting the crypto currency then it would be direct indication for the public that they are free to use the crypto currency and obviously people will feel far safer and might just start using them. So you see thats the problem here, its government who might be thinking two steps forward about their own fall and thus may not accept it ever unless and until they find some middle way for it.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 worst performing Cryptos on: March 31, 2018, 12:57:36 PM
So here's the top 10 worst performing cryptos of 2018 (so far)

1. Bitcoin Diamond. From $105 to $2.19
2. Bitcoin Gold. Starts trading from $500. Now it’s sitting at $45.
3. Einsteinium. From  $2.83 to $0.11 in 101 days.
4. Siacoin.  Down 90% in just 83 days.
5. NEM. Sitting at $0.22, down 89% from its peak of $2.09.
6. Cardano. Down 89% in 85 days.
7. Verge.
8. Bytecoin.
9. Digibyte. Down 88% in 82 days
10. Ripple. It’s down 87% in 85 days.

See full article: https://news.bitcoin.com/these-are-the-worst-performing-cryptocurrencies-of-2018-so-far/

If you think of the low valued currencies then obviously the numbers will always look too much down the line. I mean its obvious that if 1 dolls valued coin drops to 10 cents then it will look like 90% loss. But have you imagined that the recovery for these coins will be faster than any other coin which is out there. I mean how much time will it take for them to spike to 2 USD again? I think its almost nothing and thus you can make 90% in profits very easily. Whether the crypto is 80% down or 10% down currently it is going to take the same time to recover. I dont think we can judge their performance in such way.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Alternative investments on: March 31, 2018, 07:13:28 AM
Investments in property, stocks and gold are the best commodities right now, I am now starting to make installments for the purchase of land / house because the future of property prices will not decrease. besides that altcoin investment is also very good.
We should maximize our money or profit here in bitcoin, invest while you are still alive and still earning, don't just be contented and settle for less, consider your future, and as per me as I don't want to be burden to my children someday, I want to have my own business that is why I am saving now.
Gold and soil were already here for the last many centuries, it is bitcoin which made an entry and provided and alternative platform for the investment to the people with a lot of different features, advantages and the opportunities.

It is good as well because a lot of the people never invest all of their money in one place and spread out the investments so the one with the major advantage of the profit must be given the major capital of the investment.

Yeah so true man. Bitcoin itself is a different way of investing our money. They say that it is not so stable in its nature but they also forget that it is the only which gives them so much profits if considered for the long term purpose. I am sure that Gold and soil are not spiking in the long run, what they will do is they will have fixed value (almost) and thus be like store value all the time. Now we dont want that as we want to earn profits for our holdings. The storing value concept is no longer profitable, there is no meaning in keeping the value dead but must keep the investment in liquid form!
264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin below $50 on: March 31, 2018, 06:32:14 AM
Can we expect bitcoin below $50 ?

Oh my God! Now thats really crazy man, I am dead laughing behind my computer screen and you must see me right now! Come on, dont make threads like that, why we want to bitcoin in such bad condition guys. I know many of you will think that this is really great, as you will be able to buy huge quantities of the bitcoin and will be able to catch the train which you missed few years back, and stuff like that. But come on, have you guys thought of the recovery process and how many more years it will take to have come back price equivalent to todays price? That will be difficulty guys and its not joke to have such low volume price.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: March 31, 2018, 05:41:34 AM
If you see it with loss then obviously it is most stupid decision and selling it with the profits would be always appreciated. Now I dont understand why people go ahead and do the selling in loss because of which such threads are created in general to ask why they sell and is it stupidity. Yes off course its stupidity if you are selling the most precious coin of the crypto currency which can benefit you in the future with profits and what it asks for is your "time" and "patience" and nothing much. Im completely aware that there is more than 50% of crowd which falls under such behaviour where they do stupidity of selling the coins to whom we call as weak hands. They are the cause for speeding this selling plague.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad day on: March 30, 2018, 01:48:15 PM
The momentum of bitcoin is still down.
I believe that the media now publishes articles such as "the bubble explodes", those things just make the situation worse and the price will keep on falling.
The fall of biggest stocks only supports the down-trend, as people run away from all the assets/stocks, and prefer to stay on solid investments/ cash.
I think that once the stock exchange will stop falling we are going to see a price correction.

So true that these people are being manipulative about the bitcoin. The thing is bitcoin is not having bad day at all, its actually having full bad quarter I would say.  Shocked

The situation can be overcome if we stand still and replicate some of the stocks markets tricks. For example, investing money into bitcoin and not selling it and just holding it the same way they are doing it for the cash or solid investment like Gold. Now that we dont have the solid investment in the crypto currencies but we do have the opportunity to store the assets in the currency like USDT. The tether off course is the gold of crypto where the value neither drops and nor it increases. We can try this one.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can something free be a scam? on: March 27, 2018, 12:25:21 PM
Hi everybody,
Lately I am reading a lot of posts asking: is this airdrop a scam? Is that free ICO a scam?
So I am wondering how can something that doesn't cost you a penny be a scam. Sure, they get your email adress and maybe a ETH Adress, but how can you  really be scamed with only this informations? I am not talking about airdrops that require kyc registration, that for sure can be dangerous.
Cheers,

If it is free then you are already scammed!!!

There is nothing like free lunch box my dear friend, and this very statement I have gotten it from the forum itself when I was reading similar thread somewhere but that was very old one. So im pretty sure that there is nothing wrong in such project going scam becasue obviously they are distributing you the coin which is free and what do you think how they will pay you back when you will go and sell those free shits? Do you really think that they will pay it from their own pockets? I barely think so and mostly those project publish such announcement who are not having any advertising budget. Once their advertising is done with fee stuff then they will fly away. So stay away.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: March 27, 2018, 11:45:20 AM
I just created this thread to gather opinions ..
Ethereum is next to BTC?
I think so. If you would look in the chart, you will see ethereum sitting next to bitcoin when it comes to value. Ethereum has been showing off lately to many investors and as time passes by, its value is slowly going after bitcoin's. Some critics are saying that it may take over bitcoin in the future but for my opinion, I think there's only a chance that its value will come close with bitcoin's.

Today Ethereum is around 500 dollars now what do you have to say about that ? Bitcoin is being resistant to the falls that it is getting today and I am sure that there is no other coin which can have such great resistance to the fall in market cap. Just see that and compare that and you will know why it stands higher chances of being #1 all the time. What you have done is just thin comparison of both but in the base bitcoin stands ahead of ETH. ETH went ATH to 1200++ but it did not last there for whole two months also and people went crazy selling it and now is the time its has dropped more than double. But bitcoin is not, its been bought at alarming speed than the previous one and thus making huge progress. Thats tough competition.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best five ICO s at moment ? on: March 27, 2018, 10:59:33 AM
Please select your five best icos in the market currently!,,,,,,,,,

Dont bother much because once this thread starts growing day by day you will see many versatile options to choose from and you will get confused one more time on what altcoin to invest your money. The thing is every person here ends up investing into different ICO project and they do study it properly and thus they make buzz about it everywhere. Now I am no expert but whatever I have studied I will publish here and these are best ICO according to my assumptions. There is no true answer for this question really !
1) DIW token 2) JNT token 3) XGM tokens 4) SCL coin 5) IPL tokens 6) IDH token. These are six projects from my side which are worth investing into and I can tell surely about it because I have seen their successful ICO sales and investor base is just perfect.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and block chain technology. on: March 27, 2018, 10:36:41 AM
Yup I agree on this one ! Many times people are making this sort of confusion and whoever there is news related to the blockchain then think the prices of the bitcoin will rise suddenly but they are completely wrong about it. Why any modification of the blockchain will spike the prices of bitcoin at all? Its not development of the bitcoin but it is the development of block itself. The same thing applied when we are talking about the vice versa situation. On the brighter side we better keep both things separate so that people dont make investment based on the development of block. This awards must be spread everywhere. Having a stage is different thing but playing on that stage is completely different one!
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you love Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2018, 09:51:09 AM
Its fun watching it make crazy moves in the market and taking your balls to your throat when the prices jump from $1 to $19,000 and after sometime back to the $8K from $ 19,000. Lolz. You come to the market, put your hard earned money into it and then see such fluctuation so it is kind of fun and at the same time bitcoins wonderful roller coaster ride.

Truly I am mad at bitcoin and the way it works. Off course I can say that it has given me financial freedom and all the stuff but it is lot more interesting than that I guess. I have never been so happy to make transactions with it with so much simplicity and without knowing anyone that I am doing it.  Cheesy
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking: China May Legalize ICO Soon on: March 27, 2018, 05:11:59 AM
Lolz.

China has made themselves look like clown. (No offence at all). But they are acting like one because first they accepted it, they let the bitcoin and altcoin run in their country, then in the mid year they stood up against the whole crypto community. They started banning all the exchanges in their country. By the year end 2017 they published that OTC trading or exchanges will be allowed with some limits. Then again at the year start their were FUD's that china is going to legalise few of the exchanger by having them on verified list by analysis their legal documents and blah blah. Now again we are ta the point where news is coming that they are going to legalise the bitcoin. What the heck is this.  Tongue
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fee just 1 cent for 10,000 dollars on: March 27, 2018, 04:31:37 AM
Now the transaction fee has become such lower that we are now able to send even 10,000 dollars for just 1 cent as transaction fee.

Now the transaction volume has gone down to just 135k transactions per day.

Is this change in transaction fee due to segwit activation or due to decrease in crypto hype which is noticed nowadays?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/87819l/bitcoin_transction_fee_10000_for_1_cent_cheaper/

I think it is the change because of low value of the bitcoin. This is the period where people are not selling any coins at the moment so the proportionality factor of mining and sending of transaction has decreased a lot. I am not sure if you have observed already or not but whenever the prices of the bitcoin increase a lot then there is increase in the fees heavily. This increase in the fee is due to increased transactions, as the increase in price makes people to sell more and more bitcoin to grab the profits and so on. This is what happening today but the only thing is, its happening in the reverse way.  Cheesy
274  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the worst thing did you did in crypto world? on: March 26, 2018, 10:48:03 AM
What to say about this question! There are so many worst things I have done in the crypto since I have come into it. Not buying the bitcoin in initial stages of my presence and when I started understanding the whole concept then it was really really late to enter into this market. In my time the ICO projects that were launched were the best one of all time and today all of them are trading over 100 bucks and it feels bad when I see them because I have seen them when they were around couple of dollars prices. Could have grabbed millions by now and here I am crying to death today. However I have learned my lessons already but feel that its already too late as there not much good coins or projects these days which could be worth something in future.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin are scam nowadays on: March 26, 2018, 09:43:04 AM
Hello, I am new in this forum but not new in cryptocurrencies,  I started trading cryptocurrency in 2016 and my first cryptocurrency I bought that time is vergecurrency and other penny coin. And I returned my money in bundle because they have good tech and very good team..So early this year I noticed that a lot of coin is now scam and failed promises. So please if you want to buy any coin don't go to coinmarketcap only because coinmarketcap can list any coin without verifying it well, just go to their telegram group and ask questions I think this can help you stay away from scam coin...

#1 If there is nay telegram group for this coins then it doesn't mean that they are not scam, they could be goo poser of being legit project.
#2 Its not about the new coins, but new ICO project you want to talk about and we should be careful about them by having deep knowledge about it.
#3 We cant judge legitimacy of the ICO now a days so quickly because they are getting smarter in the way they could represent themselves as legit one.
#4 If we are eager to invest money on ICO then there is no way to do that without taking any risk about it.

So this is what pretty much we should be looking for before we can make any move in the long run. Its so sad that these people are making the ICO world look so bad. Look at the IPO from the stock exchanges which are far older and still running smoothly.
276  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of Living Comparison on: March 26, 2018, 08:56:05 AM
I would go with very simple assumption if it comes to choosing where to live. To be honest its personal choice, I mean whether I want to have blue ocean beach by my side or whetehr I want red forest surrounding my house or whether it has to be at the heart of New York city. that gives rise to personal choice but with that choice we have to pay XYZ cost for that. Just imagine having house in the New York city and by the beach side has got price difference as equal to difference between sky and ocean. Its huge! So cost of living hampers your choice a lot.

But on the other hand I also think that cost of living will get dispersed according to the salary that you are going to get as per your location. Obviously your salary will be higher in the New York city if you are having qualified experience and education etc and similarly it will be different in the area like forest region! Cost of living divide according to that also so it make no difference many times.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell house to buy bitcoin if it drops below $ 5000? on: March 26, 2018, 08:20:03 AM
I joined this market a few months, I also lost a little money. Now I want to have a bigger plan by selling my house to 100% participation in this market. What do you think?
You think I will have another house or I will become homeless  Grin Cheesy Grin

You won't go homeless for sure as you will have lot of investment in your name and at least you can pay rents in rented house by selling X amount of the bitcoin each month. So that is out of question and you can always have option to be inside house.  Grin

However, I dont agree on the idea of selling your house for the bitcoin investment. I know your adrenaline must be boosted a lot but that doesn't mean you should make moves which are as equal to dumpsters trading.

I would say you can sell your cars, bikes and other properties if you have any. Gold for instance could be good idea to sell but the whole house looks bad one.
278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you know what's short? A genius trade! on: March 26, 2018, 06:34:11 AM
but what you explained is not called "short" or "short selling"!
to short means to sell something you do not own, you are basically borrowing that asset and you only make profit if the price of that asset drops. you can read more about it here: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/shortselling.asp

what you explained is simply traditional trading. you sell the asset that is about to fall (before the drop starts) to have your money ready then wait for it to reach the bottom and buy back either you buy the same amount back and keep the difference as profit or buy more of that asset an have more so you profit more from the upcoming rise.

short will work and give you profit as long as the price is falling but the second thing you explained only works if the thing you buy actually recovers and that is not going to happen for most altcoins.

and it is not genius, it is actually a very risky way of investment.

Okay I understand more about the OP's discussion from this post. In general what OP explained was just buy low and sell high but in genius way. ! I think most of the trades follows the same way of trading it is just about the timing which gives them different names. I mean come on, it doesnt matter all which type of trading I am doing, whether it is swing trading, day trading, long/short term trading, in all of them one thing is literally common and thats buy low and sell high stuff. So I dont see any different but it is just about the timing really.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The lists of trustworthy ICO pools on: March 26, 2018, 05:54:58 AM
The problem with this pools that they are usually not being managed by the organizers of the ICOs and are connected to them in any way, which means that the chances of getting scammed is much higher then usual.
Not only that, as the pool organizers are not directly connected to the ICO organizers,if something happens you won't receive your tokens back.

I can't understand why ICOs don't make pools by themself.

ICO pools seems to be very rare idea thats been used here. I mean how many times we have read about such schemes at all? I am hearing it first time on the forum after so long time. That is really surprising for me and it is very unique idea. First of all when I read about the OP's comment it felt like something new and worth using for the investment matters.

However after reading the third comment I was completely disappointed and I am kind of in support of this comment. I mean they can really go scam after collecting huge amounts of money from small investors. We are not even sure if the ICO are legit or not in long terms then how could we trust such services which falls under third party investment?
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is Bitcoin a pyramid scheme? on: March 25, 2018, 06:45:18 PM
Bitcoin is the opposite of a pyramid scheme from the point of view of Bitcoin miners. The Bitcoin protocol is designed like a cannibalistic arms race. Every additional miner prompts the protocol to increase the difficulty of mining. From a social point of view, Bitcoin is a pure market. The price of Bitcoins fluctuates based on market supply, demand, and perceived value.

I read the question again and again to understand and recall how bitcoin actually works and tried to relate with it but its not even close to being the pyramid scheme. The crypto currency or bitcoin for instance is just price tagged algorithm which can be sent over the protocol from peer to peer and transmit the values. Does that even seem to be related to it? May be that is just the operation of bitcoin. Okay let's talk about the bitcoin earning and spreading ways. Is there any offer that satoshi levied that those who will get most of the people on board will have X percentage from the bitcoin market cap. I don't think so and neither of them trying to do so.

In any sense this is not valid statement at all.
