Hello, I am new in this forum but not new in cryptocurrencies, I started trading cryptocurrency in 2016 and my first cryptocurrency I bought that time is vergecurrency and other penny coin. And I returned my money in bundle because they have good tech and very good team..So early this year I noticed that a lot of coin is now scam and failed promises. So please if you want to buy any coin don't go to coinmarketcap only because coinmarketcap can list any coin without verifying it well, just go to their telegram group and ask questions I think this can help you stay away from scam coin...

Yes, there are a lot of coins born to cheat people. The people who created it for phishing purposes and have no ideas for developing their projects. I often check ICO projects very carefully and never encounter fake projects. I often check the staff, ideas and managers in the telegram ... spend a lot of time researching a project, which will help you avoid the risk of fraud. |

There are also coins or ICO's that has fake members on their telegrams so that isn't going to be well off. Coinmarketcap is only listing those coins and is just a website to show charts, price and crypto's that are listing so they really don't care if it's a scam or not. They are also advertising scam websites on their banner so even you will warn people here, they will not stop advertising those scams.

it has always been like this. i am surprised that you have noticed it just now and claim you have been trading since 2016.
for as long as i can remember a great number of new coins that were created were scam coins. that is why the altcoin graveyard is so much bigger than the number of coins that are currently around and listed on all exchanges combined!

this have been the problem since day 1 pretty much, thats why altcoins have a bad rep and thats why bitcoin have 42% of the market, alot of these altcoins turn scam sooner or later, and some are even a scam from the start. but dont let that over shadow all the good altcoins that exist. |

Yes, it is a useful strategy, because the present most token was just a hype, they didn't have any value, so watch their telegram group development is a good way to identify these scams.

actually not what you say.
but true, some new altcoins are very unproductive and tend to have no future. actually must be balanced with research and analysis. something must be done with great patience and involve knowledge if you really want to invest in crypto.

You are right. I have seen instances where some developers were asked questions that are vital to ensure safe investments, but it amazed me that some developers will turn down the question by not answering, delete the so called question asked for no one to see such question or for worse if it, you person asking such question might get banned, just because their act of scam is about to be exposed.

Agree that CM will not take care of any verifications and they will add any requests it seems to the site. Now a days telegram channels are dominated by fans of those coins, if anybody asks legit qns, they ban him or call him out as creating FUD.

That's right, the fact that coinmarketcap just like a paid promote service. I meant those shitcoins want to get listing in coinmarketcap must pay some amount and then they are listed in the coinmarketcap. It's a horrible thing i suppose how a lot of ponzi coin can be listed in coinmarketcap. |

Thanks for the info. But I think these actions should not be limited. It is worth paying attention to the prospects of the coin. Look at the road map. Check what this project has already achieved. If the project adheres to the road map and constantly announces the news, then it is possible to go into such a project. |

you are right, there are a lot of coins on the market which is not verified to be in the market cup. It make the situation so bad, there are many people or trader are wondering of it because they do not want to lose their profit they have in. Moreover, there is no one can predict and guess about the market.

Check the whitepaper first!  It's your money if you are going to invest at least pay a little due dilligence. Most of the scam ICOs just talk on 'air' and don't really make an effort on writing a good whitepaper. There are few more points and then you need to look at their combination as well. You are right but not the only one because if not all, most of cryptocurrency investors already noticed that there are lots of shitty scam ICOs for a very long time now but I think that there are still some few projects that are worth investing, you just have to be careful and very picky on where to put your money and for those who participates on bounty campaigns too, you shouldn't waste your time promoting shit projects. I've also invested a lot of times on cryptocurrency startup companies before but now I lose my interest because most ICOs are just copying each other and most are scammers. I mean investing on ICOs are surely profitable because you are able to buy their coin/token at cheaper rate but the problem is not all projects have the potential even they are legit company. |

Very well said. Now a days we need to be smarter and more careful in choosing coins because scammer right now is very smart even coinmarketcap they already entered so the trust of many crypto have decrease. Don’t trust in one source of information, keep on your research which coin is really legit so you will not lose earnings because here in cryptocurrency must have great knowledge so we will never be cheated by the scammer.

I think that they simply do not have confidence yet because there are crypto-currencies at the head like bitcoin and etherium to which there is more than a positive attitude or it's just too lazy to delve into the crypto market to analyze a new coin
