261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ⚡️⚡️ Do you know about "ULTRA" - Gaming Platform Token Metrics? on: July 15, 2019, 02:34:54 PM
Blockchain allows developers to build a community with tokens that could be used within the community to pay for stuffs while every app could equally interact with other gaming apps in the community. I guess that’s what you’re trying to build here. I think I like your idea. And btw you have a cool UI/UX

i watched "ready player one" i really want that to be the future of gaming, i envision a world where games have no boundary, when you work, play and learn you can carry your game around. i believe ULTRA is one step in that direction. And your team are made of capable parties.

Yea, that's a pretty good movie and showcases the futuristic evolution of the gaming industry, it also identifies the need why such shouldn't be left in the hands of individuals, that's where the blockchain industry comes in, as it allows individuals to have access to their database and decide what to do in the ecosystem without interference of individuals or corporate bodies
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️[ANN] ⚡️⚡️ BORA - Flexible Blockchain Platform: Official Regular Updates on: July 15, 2019, 09:55:57 AM

I agree with you, the Bora Island would be a good source of recreation for several people and could be a means of making money for those who are able to accumulate more bora Shell tokens. I would like to know if the bora Shell tokens can be exchanged in cryptocurrency exchange for more popular cryptocurrency like bitcoin and ethereum.
The bora Shell tokens cannot be exchanged automatically for Bitcoin or other popular cryptocurrency, but rather it needs to be converted into bora tokens before the bora tokens could be exchanged in a cryptocurrency exchange for other cryptocurrencies. The conversion rate for bora Shell to bora tokens is 1000:1.

That's a lot of process but i thought is just a case of sending the tokens to an exchange site and selling when needed because i'm trying to grasp the reason why users should undergo through such before the necessary conversion, i will love to get a detailed reason why such should be done or possibly a link, they probably have their own reason

How do you intend to make money? Since you're trying to build on a decentralized platform which typically means you're giving out content for free. How does the team intends to make money? What other source of revenue?

Every venue pay a monthly subscription of 39,90$ which is even cheaper compared to public institues. So cheaper than paying those people which u usually have to pay when you open up a venue (Google on sesac, bmi, ascap which is around 600-4000$ per year.

So the app gives 4 options and 3 options costs something

1. Vote 0.05$
2. Play a Song 1,50$
3. Add a song 0.5$
4. Share it on social media

So the prices above are the minimum, also represents the 0.05$ the minimum worth of 1 token in app. Meaning you send 1 token to the app, its worth a minimum of 0.05$ or higher if MZG costs more.

All prices above can be changed to a higher value from the venue owner. Example: Nightclub would probably ask for way more for play 1 song, so thats up to them.

Okay, that's some in-depth analysis of the means or process of generating revenue for your brand, what's the equivalent of 1MZG to a dollar and will it be like a stablecoin kind of thing?, just saying because it will be best if its relatively stable, so it can accommodate everyone and the community will get used to the token as oppose to tokens that fluctuates massively
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]MOOZICORE | IEO -Music Streaming Service on Blockchain | Coinbebe | LAToken on: July 14, 2019, 03:34:24 PM
Music industry in the blockchain is quite good and it will provide huge transparency in the field. As well as people will get to know lots of other information like behind the screen artists, etc other than the popular singers and music directors who always get into their fames.

The entertainment industry is more like who you know to hit the limelight and if such can be eradicated by using the blockchain technology, then by all means it will be regarded as a welcome development, the brand seems to be making some serious move especially with the coming in of Jason Boyarski on Board their project, we may expect better days ahead
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️[ANN] ⚡️⚡️ MinedBlock ⚡️⚡️ STO Live NOW⚡️⚡️ Fully Managed Mining Service ⚡️⚡ on: July 14, 2019, 03:29:30 PM
In few days, LTC and then BTC would be halved. Mining rewards would be reduced while price of each token appreciated. Greatto know I could make mining rewards with Minedblock. Check out Minedblock IEO: http://p2pb2b.io

I don't think mining was ever profitable for individuals. Look at the cost of mining equipment and also electricity charges. Project like minedblock would be better option as they can negotiate electricity charges and many things as they will be doing it in bulk.

Personally i get skeptical when it comes to mining projects because they have huge problems to address in the sector, mainly power and the heat that such generates which invariably means having a cold environment to operate, i'm yet to understand what makes this project stand out from the rest, though i have not properly assimilate what they have to offer
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ever Heard about "KHIPU"? - Fastest Ethereum Implementation in the world. on: July 14, 2019, 03:24:41 PM
I had a short look at the homepage. Seems to be an interesting project. But the team doesn't seem to be complete, there is only one person listed. Does he do it alone?

The person on the website is the founder of the project and I guess there's a reason why only the founder is exposed to the public. Am not very knowledgeable about what the project entails, but I still believe that there may be some need for privacy.

like you said they have their reasons for not showing list of other team members but from my knowledge of crypto startup, the complete list of key team players and advisors are made public so that potential investors can check them out

Yea, that's probably one of the good reasons of coming up publicly to display profiles, it helps in substantiating the project and goes a long way in adding value to the brand, people find it skeptical investing in something that they know little or nothing about, so having a face for a brand is a must for any project coming out to succeed, those days of faceless brands are gone
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️[ANN] ⚡️⚡️ BORA - Flexible Blockchain Platform: Official Regular Updates on: July 14, 2019, 01:09:37 PM
This is a good idea! But it is difficult to implement. However, this will have a good effect on the adoption of cryptocurrency.

I don't think you have checked all the project details.  BORA already made good progress and now are in testing phase. We should see mainnet soon

They have a few apps on Bora Island already. All talked about here on BORA island guide update here; https://steemit.com/bora/@mufjustiner/bora-island-guide-part-2. There’s Push Sushi for games, Shell wallet to exchange Bora tokens for Shell tokens. There’s also Angry birds. I think BORA Island is going to be an interesting blockchain ecosystem.

Angry Birds game is also on Bora chain?  Or it's something different?  I have not checked the article but this game is really popular and I used to play a lot and that why I asked if it's game or what

Ha ha ha... I suggest you to read the article to get clear idea about this project. There is chance to collect good amount of SHELL which you can exchange with BORA tokens.

It's a great concept for Bora to reward users of the platform. I never knew that one gets to earn from playing and having fun. This would lead to an increase in the number of persons who use the bora island. I would have to sign up immediately.

Everybody applauds the BORA concept and it's cool but my question is how soon can it materialize? How soon do we begin to participate in the fun and reward.....? What's also the guarantee that are not expecting too much from BORA and how certain that expectation will not be dashed? The end of the project alone can answer these.

I think these are more or less far fetched questions as no one knows for sure how long it will take them to achieve the needed goals that they are aimed at but the fact is, success takes time to materialize and at the moment, they are still at their initial stage or inception, so lets wait and see how they drive the project according to their roadmap

How do you intend to make money? Since you're trying to build on a decentralized platform which typically means you're giving out content for free. How does the team intends to make money? What other source of revenue?

Its a tough question but it seems more like getting the traffic, then monetizing it, that sort of thing, what matters most in every brand is the creation of a community, once that its done, they can sell anything, so the initial process is more like creating a name for themselves, i may be wrong though and they probably may have other means of generating revenue, just my thought and i hope to see them give an answer
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ever Heard about "KHIPU"? - Fastest Ethereum Implementation in the world. on: July 13, 2019, 08:26:45 PM
"khipu" the name sounds funny. Is it an acronym or something? Well I have been able to read an article about them on steemit and their idea seems solid and useful. Hopefully they will get the support needed. It's a good one for ethereum blockchain

There's also another project before we found the name funny but after a few months they suddenly became one of the most popular new project. I hope they will going to have the same start. Anyway I also read their article there but it's a little confusing to me regarding on how they will really going to run or works.

Hahaha I'm sure you know that the name though funny as it seems but doesn't really matter. All the purpose it serves is to be catchy and I think it is. What's more important is the integrity of the team and their ability to build a large community of followers. At this point so much is yet to be known about this project and what we need do is rather more research

Yeah, Although sometimes the name are quite like in purpose that's why they chose it it will really still going to depend on how does their team will going to make it more appealing by showing what they can really do aside from that.

Yeah sure lol have seen projects with funny names moon and at thesame time there are a number of projects with interesting names gone into extinction. What makes the difference is hardwork and smart work put together. Iet's patiently wait to see their concept materialise. It might shock the entire crypto space how far they can go

If they have something that's needed in the community, of course they will sell and probably moon irrespective of their names, its all about what they offer and don't be surprise that their name may actually resonate with something that they are delivering, it can also be a mixture of their native dialect, in all, i'm more interested in seeing them deliver what they promised
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️[ANN] ⚡️⚡️ BORA - Flexible Blockchain Platform: Official Regular Updates on: July 13, 2019, 08:11:54 PM
Cool project and an awesome update. I guess it’s not going to be just push shushi, your shell wallet and a few bApps on your island. Would you make bora island open sourced? Can I or new developers create new bApps on bora island? Are there  incentives for that?

There should incentives for running DApp but since Bapp is a relatively new concept we should it's popularity increase in time to meet current blockchain hype.

I'd expect to see this grow especially with the amount of positive flowing in to the ecosystem currently

I said such sometime ago, its difficult for projects to cling on popularity when they have nothing to offer because there are too numerous projects to choose from, so its always imperative that they bring out creative means of attaching value to their token and using their tokens as incentives comes to mind, though i do believe that they have this as part of their plan

Sooner or later crypto currency is going to be regulated. Trump just made a tweet about that. I honk top governments bodies and institutions are getting ready for a change. New projects have to KYC investors to stay safe.

This may cause a bit of panic among the bad projects but nothing to worry for a project who already taking care most of the things which will help them to pass any regulations.

I think is a welcome development in a good way, at least we'll get to see more projects that tends to create impacts, rather than the mushroom projects that are littered everywhere, if such can bring sanity into the industry, then they should by all means go for it and deliver concrete projects to the community and eradicate the fear of scammers
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡️⚡️[ANN] ⚡️⚡️ BORA - Flexible Blockchain Platform: Official Regular Updates on: July 13, 2019, 07:40:50 AM
I am still a little bit dazed here. How real is it that one can send their tokens using an email address, I mean, is that even feasible? Is it something that can be done literally or it's just some kind of email confirmation?

I can see you're surprised indeed. The truth is that it's possible and has been in existent for a long time. I remember Coinbase Wallet has that functionality, though it's been a long time since I used the wallet. I remember one could transfer Btc to other coinbase users with just the email address.

Bora adoption of this modality is awesome. Users of the bora wallet don't need to bother so much about the public address which may be impossible to recall, but remembering the email address is very simple. Bora also implemented the free transaction fee on her wallet, making sending and receiving tokens seamless and free.

Recently, Ethereum network did something similar for their users but this wasn't a mapping of wallet to email or something but they created a way to enable you map your wallet address (public of course) to any phrase you can easily remember. Something like iwant.tokens.now  I think it's a similar idea implementation BORA is trying to do.

Well having those passphrases is really like a double edge sword to the users or owner of the wallet but it's really good because you know that as long you saved it on the safe place no one will really going to access it if it's the only way to access the wallet.

I think giving users the opportunity to change their public address will really fix a lot of issues, despite the fact that's long and looks secured, hackers where still able to access users wallet because there is no process to notify users when their wallets has been tampered, in a case whereby an email notification is been sent to users and they have the opportunity of changing their address, such will curtail the issue of hacking

That will really going to be a big problem. Having more than the passphrases will give mo extra security to everyone that's why we are using like 2FA on other wallets. I guess they will going to have it too so we don't really need to worry.

Absolutely, there's more security options that needs to be added to this features which will be like a welcome development and open more doors for the community, personally i find it hard using some features like the wallet because the public address thing can be as scary as hell and has given a lot of individuals the reason to use external hardwares

Team is very communicative. I think marketing team is picking up speed in sending emails about kyc, IEO etc. I personally think they should also send promotional content in email to reach out to people.
What is certain is that everyone is expected to be communicative with his team because then communication between the team and the community will also be well established and this is a positive thing

This project is a very good example of very efficient and transparent team. They communicate each and every thing here as well as in other social media platforms.

What is the current average cost of BTC mining now? Current price is well over 10k USD so I want to check how much profit will be there for mining BTC.

BTC mining cost depends mainly on electricity.  This cost is different from country to country. But I think current cost for mining is not above 5k USD.

5K USD for electricity is quite high. But still this is also dependent on how big your facility is. People are preferring Arab countries for some reasons. May be they have cheap electricity and regulations are easy?
[/quote]

I believe is more of support than cheap electricity because the cost of maintaining crypto mining is quite exorbitant, this can be attributed to the immense power or amount of electricity needed to get things up and running, some are seeking other ways of taking care of that, such as bio-fuel an all that but still the maintenance is on the high side

It is a one-man team based from the website.
I don't think a project will go very far if there is only one person doing all the technical and admin stuffs.
But I can say, for a one-man team creating a 41-page whitepaper is great.
The dev might want to consider hiring other personnel to help him in this project, and if he wants to move things bit faster.

You can’t do that not all by yourself. But that’s quite an awesome job you have going on here. How much of an influence would Khipu be on Ethereum blockchain and blockchain tech adoption as a whole?

Influence its based on how innovative they are and what they have to bring to the table and i don't mean existing solutions but new solutions to pending problems in the ethereum network, that's all that matters and the key to effectively drive up their brand and secure them a good position in the market, there are a lot of mushroom projects out there and it takes a lot to stand out

Let me get this straight, is it strictly just game apps and are the developers of these games given some sort of incentive?, it will be nice to see bora be used as the incentive if any and such will drive the value of token upwards and increase its visibility to the conventional community, angry bird is a known game in the community and its a good thing to have them on board

first of all great project are usually not easy and secondly the implementation is gonna be gradual, gradual in the sense that they don't have to implement all the functions all at once and like you said this will help fuel mass adoption of cryptocurrency

Yea, its sure is a gradual process and requires trials and errors till they get it right, the process of building a brand its not an easy thing, not to mention the fact that this is an uncharted territory, with lots of new technology to test before actually getting the desired results, so its going to take sometime, it all depends on the team and how diligent they are in the quest to create their brand

You do have a point and i guess he has that into perspective or perhaps other team members in the brand that are contract based, that sort of thing, either way, its best to have like a concrete team to showcase to the public and i must admit that the ethereum network needs help in terms of scalability, so anything that will help in the advancement of cryptocurrency is a welcome development
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ever Heard about "KHIPU"? - Fastest Ethereum Implementation in the world. on: July 11, 2019, 03:03:31 PM
The concept of the project towards bringing greater technological advancement and breakthrough in the blockchain industry is very inspiring. I personally wish to see other project with this mode of operation which is channeled towards the advancement of an erstwhile project and helping the existing project become better.

The honest truth is that most projects we see in the cryptocurrency space are concerned about developing something new and not considering what has been developed, I find this project unique in the sense that the project is committed to figuring out the gaps which can be closed and contributing to knowledge.

You're absolutely right, innovation is a yardstick to get people to understand what cryptocurrency is all about, just like i stated sometime ago, its still a new technology and there's a lot of niche that's available for individuals and brand to taste out and i really can't wait for the globe to come in terms with the usefulness of this technology and what we stand to gain
