261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: X10 Mining on: May 27, 2018, 12:23:38 PM
the question was more what other users are mining

That question will break coin profitability. So you wouldn't get any specifics name for those question from most of the miner.

which algo and coin they prefer and where they see more profit as the calculators are not reflecting reality.

Like a comment above, Whattomine / Coinwarz can be your reference, take your time for doing you in in-depth research, compare each result, then you can find the most profitable coin for your self.  Wink
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to stake phore on a raspberry pi 3? on: May 26, 2018, 01:38:40 PM
How's about your shitty old HP laptop?  Grin I recognize you from our discussion before.

I have a few Pi 2, but I've never tried what you were asking above. Seem like that Steemit link (that posted above) would be your best guide at this moment. Or may you were done with that since your post had posted weeks ago.

This one:

There are several people in the Phore community who are staking on the Raspberry Pi. Look for Monkey as one good person to ask for assistance, he's around our Discord quite a bit. He also created a guide if you'd like to compile it from source:

263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Setup Your Own Private Mining Pool [Server + Basic Linux knowledge required] on: May 26, 2018, 06:04:46 AM
ah, that was nice.

My last experience building a mining pool is while using MPOS (a long time ago). I found the similar thread a few months ago, then I think I need to try it, but I'm too busy then forget about that. Your post has reminded me of that. Will watch your videos, then start to build the pool.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why the hashrate on the website is different from the hashrate in Miner status? on: May 26, 2018, 05:47:53 AM
Local and pool report will be different, it because not every hash sending by our Miner accepted by the pool, what shown on the pool is only "accepted shares" that produce by our devices over time.

But, if there's too much gap between local & pool report, there's must be something going wrong, mostly caused by network delay (check your connection).
265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start Mining for the Newbie on: May 25, 2018, 07:37:44 PM
You can start trying in an airdrop pool because that's where beginners usually get a chance to participate in mining.

What's that? I've never heard about that.  Huh

Also, desktop PC or a dedicated graphics card mining rig could do it too, but not as efficient as ASIC miner. But if you still want to try mining with graphics cards, you can visit this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1972607.0

Nice share, buddy.  Wink

But for me, Graphic cards isn't the second option as implied from what you say. ASICs or Graphics Cards have the same chance to create some profit for miners. Out there we can find a few algorithms with a lot of coin on each. In another word, coins that mineable by ASICs and GPUs, of course, ASICs will be the best choice. But coins that haven't (will never) invaded by ASICs would be different. Also, we should consider long-term potency.  Wink

Agreed with another learning step guide that you were advising.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How Can I Mine This Coin either SOLO OR POOL OR ANYWAY I wants to mine this coin on: May 25, 2018, 01:42:34 PM
Hello my friends,
How are you all ?

I'm Cool  Wink

LTCC was hybrid coin (PoW /PoS), right? Seem no mining pool exist yet for this coin (but I'm not sure).

Usually, you need to setup config file (coin.conf) to start mining to QT-Wallet. In some case, you were able to mine directly from GUI wallet (included features or through the console on GUI wallet), but I'm not sure with the coin that you are talking about. Check it, Help --> Debug Window --> Console (at your QT-Wallet). You can search similar thing from another coin (for your reference) out there. Good Luck!
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New revolutionary software for cryptocurrency mining on: May 25, 2018, 01:25:09 PM
i still dont see anything revolutionary.

I also felt the same.  Wink

real miners who know what they do dont need crap like this

Also, agree with this statement.  Wink

maybe its good software for lazy retards or just for retards

But sometimes simple operation needed, at least if we are facing big scale of mining machines. Monitoring and managing a lot of miner machine isn't easy at all.  Cheesy
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New revolutionary software for cryptocurrency mining on: May 25, 2018, 01:04:25 PM
Good afternoon!
All who filled in the form on the website minerboard.com have already received an information letter about the future activities and plans of our project!..........

Are you OP's co-worker?

I agree with a few "skeptic" comment above. Whatever it is Cryptocurrency world has invited many scammers with various way to do it. So we need to be careful about everything. (I didn't say that OP's post was some way to scamming people)

OP
Management & Monitoring software was a great thing on mining. That makes miners life easier, just proof it that what you (and team, if any) create is useful and safe to use. Good Luck!
269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start Mining for the Newbie on: May 25, 2018, 12:36:51 PM
That was good, you have started what you want with that whole question.

I am new to Crypto with no software or programing skills etc, but excited and eager to learn and get started.

Our skill will grow while learning and doing what we want to master it. Software and programming skill isn't number one requirement for miners. We know how to use software, that's more than enough. Keep learning and patient.

Do you need different equipment for different coins such as  Bitcoin, Bitcoin fork, Ethereum?

We can use same nor similar mining equipment for different coins at the same algorithm. Also, we can use same nor similar mining equipment for a different algorithm. Except for specific coin that required specific hardware that can mine that coin. We can also use different equipment fo mine the same coin, but it can giving us the different result (profit) for various equipment that applied, and so on.

Another fundamental thing has posted above.

No ones are expert from the start; they learn and do. So, Good Luck!
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: List of Mining pools for all cryptocurrencies on: May 25, 2018, 06:00:59 AM
Thanks, It seems a less pools compare to bitmakler, but probably current.

Yeah, both were a bit similar but may Bitmakler better than Investoon (at least in the number of a pool that listed).

Are there other sites or lists of all mining pools for all cryptocurrencies?

I'm not sure there any other site has a full list of it. At first, I thought you just want to know that info for your own use.  Cheesy

Im trying to accumulate into one portal with transparency so another sites which do similar with less cryptocurrency will be helpful :-)

Good idea, good luck!   Smiley
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: List of Mining pools for all cryptocurrencies on: May 25, 2018, 04:26:39 AM
May this can help you https://investoon.com/mining_pools/, actually I google it before posting it here.  Cheesy

Typically, I found pool info (for a specific coin) at their announcement thread. And remember, pool choosing will be one of "X" factor for miner whose do pooled mining.  Wink
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help!h110 pro btc+ problem on: May 24, 2018, 09:20:16 AM
I also installed the three cards to other motherboard with new risers, the problem persists.

Did you try that three troubled card one by one? Or you put all together on the other motherboard? Better do not use a riser (while troubleshooting process). Plug the cards directly to PCIe 16x (one by one).
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: etclassicpool.com new ETC pool on: May 24, 2018, 07:33:15 AM
One only worker was online (atm) with 1.37 GH Hashrate. Is that you OP? Pretty good personal Hashrate, but isn't good enough to solving blocks. Grin

While you tried to grow-up your mining pool, will be better if you start it with your local community and expand to the more wide audience after. IMHO
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help!h110 pro btc+ problem on: May 24, 2018, 07:08:32 AM
Another thing that may you can try besides all above advice you had.

You have 13 cards installed on your system, and then three cards were troubled (4,7,12). Try to unplug another three cards that worked fine, so you will running with ten cards (including cards 4,7,12), then check those three troubled cards (4,7,12). Just suspecting, this is a power issue.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which series has the best hash rate of AMD Radeon GPU? on: May 23, 2018, 08:58:56 AM
At your condition, seem like would be better if you are using RX 500 series, Vega was quite good and may the best choice on AMD cards. But related to your ambient temperature, maybe you need to save some cost for cooling systems. So, I suggest you for using RX 580Wink

Brand picking also necessary, a few brands such as Sapphire has good thermal management, Gigabyte prone overheat (based on my experience) and...so on.

Every cards/brand has a different heat tolerate, sometimes I can run my card above 80o. But as above said 70o-75o is a general card's temperature safer.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Gpu Miners for Rent on: May 22, 2018, 06:54:58 PM
NICEHASH is not supported so i need mining firm for this to achieve my Goals

This statement indicated something.
Can be the algorithm isn't listed on Nicehash, I'm not sure with MRR. Or may you need more Hashing power (as you mentioned with "mining firm" needed), I thought this is for solo mining. Am I right?  Huh
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Gpu Miners for Rent on: May 22, 2018, 07:09:06 AM
If you're not aware it's usually how established companies charge more as payment for the convenience and security they provide.

That's the point.

OP is probably trying to increase profit margins. That being said, I wouldn't trust so easily when it comes to crypto transactions like this though, too much risk.

Then also miners who want to lease their rigs felt the same as OP and also said "I wouldn't trust so easily when it comes to crypto transactions like this though, too much risk"  Wink
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Gpu Miners for Rent on: May 22, 2018, 06:00:26 AM
as szafa said
How about Nicehash or may Miningrigrentals?

What makes you interesting to rent directly from the miners, instead of using rent platform? It was okay for miners whose leased their Hashrate to you, but they can go anytime without your permission (if you pay on the front), and you can leave 'em anytime while yo pay 'em after the service ends.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining ethereum with 1060 3gb cards end? on: May 20, 2018, 04:23:35 AM
Your question related to Dag answered above.

Another exciting thing may about you get the best profit on ETH (atm). Most miners think that ETH isn't the best to mine (including me), and I can say for sure, nowadays I can't get the best profit with ETH mining. But there may you had something different in your ways to mine it.  Wink
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin to stake with Raspberry pi 3? on: May 14, 2018, 10:16:43 AM
-snip-

Aha... Cheesy  Cheesy
Don't forget to backup your wallet in the safe place, in case your "shitty old HP laptop" breaks down and you can access its storage devices.

Doing PoS needs to run devices that have low power consumption for reducing electricity cost, Raspberry Pi and some kind is a good option.  Wink

Oh I got a bunch of backups, on different laptops, on multiple usbs, and on external HD's Cheesy I got it covered ahaha

wow, that's was good, also don't forget to print your privkey.  Grin
