2601  Other / Meta / Re: Question about goods bought with bitcoin on the forum. on: August 14, 2018, 07:08:32 AM
If you're in the UK I worked out a way that you can essentially get a temporary one use'drop location for free anytime you want it and you don't need to use your real name or use ID. All you need is a pick up code and they give your package to anyone as long as they have that. You're essentially using a loop hole in some of the 'pick up points' that retailers use so you can go pick up your purchases from a store for convenience. It could be used as a way to sell bitcoins for cash or anything else anonymously as well.

Could you give some more detail on that, it sounds really useful.

There is a much simpler alternative. Create an alias. You tell to the person that your name is

Satoshi Nakamoto
21 Boulevard of the chancellor crypto
Zip code city
country

On your mailbox, you add a tag with the name Nakamoto and voila...
If you live in a building then no way to know your apartment # and ID

 Cheesy

Not much use in the UK where it isn't customary to put names on your mailbox, just the apartment number. Also useless if you live in a house.

I haven't received yet my daily interest.

The day isn't over yet.

Edit: Right on cue, it has just been paid. It's time zones.

Has anyone got any tips on how to find the source when spinning has been used?

Something like this just looks like words have been changed and far too much effort would have gone into it for an original signature spam post.

Circulation of digital cryptocurrency that is considered illegal because it is not touched by the Central Bank or other financial providers in a country does not affect the circulation of Bitcoin and becomes a growing investment, but the pros and cons of blockchain investment and cryptocurrency like Bitcoin and Coin are emerging..
Since when digital currencies emerge, many of these countries take legal steps and implement regulations by handling taxes on virtual currencies and limiting their use, but now this regulation causes investors to treat the virtual currency as a stock compared to the currency and besides that there is a downside to Bitcoin gaining a bad reputation in society when it is linked to black market circles and money laundering so that these countries prohibit bitcoin transactions which also affect the value of the conventional currency weakening, but no doubt if technology continues to develop government authorities will continue to be systemic to the law, not thinking about understanding how Bitcoin changes the financial future when investors prepare to turn to bitcoin and welcome it when using it..  Sad

Was their a field under personal stats that said “won on lottery” before recently?   I don’t see t now but I thought there was (right under “spent on lottery”)

No.

If you are having trouble keeping track of all your lottery winnings we do send all the winners an email with the details.

Yes, they allow but one has to claim for a few months to year time to reach that limit.  Wink

Or one roll of over 9994. What I'm really getting at is that all other gambling sites would see someone that plays for free and then withdraws without ever depositing as an abuser. That's the difference here and why we are still a faucet site as well as a gambling site.
2605  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing Mods to Delete Scam Threads (Marketplace) on: August 14, 2018, 06:07:51 AM
I am not asking for moderating forum themselves. I am asking if any accusation about any ICO and if moderators think accusation is valid enough that case should be locked or delete thread. Like if we report spam post than moderator delete post.

That is moderating scams. I've explained why it is not a good idea as well as I can. If you can give a counter argument as to why that wouldn't lead to people making the false assumption that things that don't get locked or deleted must be safe we can have a discussion.
2606  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing Mods to Delete Scam Threads (Marketplace) on: August 14, 2018, 05:52:21 AM
But why ?

That is exactly what I have just explained. Moderating scams gives the perception that the forum is taking responsibility and that will lead to people blaming the forum when they get scammed by something the forum didn't lock or delete.

Monday's Dogecoin lottery round 146 draw results:

Place   Nickname       Owned Tickets   Winning Ticket   Chance of winning   Reward in DOGE
1thenerd314488625.806%29,760 DOGE
2Jonn43810235.376%5,580 DOGE
3Djakapio47632.688%1,860 DOGE

Congrats! Tongue

Litecoin Lotto round  #58 will close in approx 11 hours!
There are 69 tickets sold so far and 0.005 LTC per ticket.

And congrats to player LuckyLad for hitting slot jackpot today!

Catch the winning spirit!

If I owned 48 tickets and had a 25.806% chance of winning, how did Djakapio own 47 tickets and have only a 2.688% chance of winning? Or am I reading that wrong?

Edit: Maybe it's a typo and he only had 4 tickets?

You can check everyone's tickets using the API.

http://api.crypto-games.net/v1/LottoTickets/Djakapio/doge/146/

They had 5 tickets, so yes a typo.

beware folks .. the bonus multiply account feature is buggy ...

your remaining wager will only reduce by a maximum amount of 5824 satoshis - no matter if you wager 100k sat or 200k sat or even more. i tested it now over several hours.

they are scamming you BIG TIME when you're using this feature and wager more than 5824 sats per bet!!!!
nobody might have noticed that, yet .. feel free to check it yourself.
i don't recommend using this feature anymore

You need to read the terms of the bonus before you activate it.

Quote
3. The maximum wagering requirements that you can fulfil in a single bet cannot exceed 10% of the original amount of your bonus account.
2609  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing Mods to Delete Scam Threads (Marketplace) on: August 14, 2018, 04:52:25 AM
I don’t think there’s really a legal case here.

I didn't mention legalities, I was talking about the perception of responsibility. People would make the natural assumption that the forum was taking responsibility to remove scams so therefore it was safe.
2610  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing Mods to Delete Scam Threads (Marketplace) on: August 13, 2018, 04:11:00 PM
I'm also not referring to all potential scam threads but more so to the few with the tale tale signs.

That's the problem. By just saying that the board is not moderated for scams that absolves the forum of all responsibility. Once you try to start policing it then you are responsible.
2611  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing Mods to Delete Scam Threads (Marketplace) on: August 13, 2018, 03:51:35 PM
I can see a couple of problems with that. If the forum gets involved in moderating scams then when someone does get scammed they are going to blame the forum moderators for letting it happen. Conflict of interest might also crop up if a moderator is involved in doing business on the forum they could get accused of shutting out the competition.
2612  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 13, 2018, 03:29:40 PM
Since then I never trust this gambling website nor deposit also any single bitcoins. I just used this gambling site because of the free bets or a free chances to win big amount of bitcoin and I realized that I'm just wasting my time here.

I don't think you were following the whole conversation. I was talking about the type of bots that we are dealing with right now. That is why we have had to stop some accounts buying lottery tickets with free winnings as an interim measure.

You still have the chance to win big and you won't find another gambling site that lets you just claim the faucet all the way up to withdrawal.

If he’s willing to wait 180 days which I doubt.

Could be a hacked email which gave access to both the account here and the Paypal.
2614  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB $50 USD in BTC on: August 13, 2018, 12:53:31 PM
I see that your account is from 2013, but I also see 2 red flags here which are

1. Big gap from January 25 to August 08 without a post
2. Password was reset recently.

oh god.. this place is useless. I have a life. I don't spend it on the forums...

Those were valid points made by Bitcoinsupremo.

8/8/2018 12:15:42 AM password reset via email

Selling on Paypal is risky enough with it being so easily reversed without any additional flags.
2615  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 📣📣📣 [ANN] 👉 BESTMIXER.IO 👈 THE FUTURE OF BITCOIN MIXING! TECHNOLOGY IS HERE on: August 13, 2018, 10:29:03 AM
This is the key text to that.

“It is important to understand that these requirements apply equally to domestic and foreign-located convertible virtual currency money transmitters, even if the foreign located entity has no physical presence in the United States, as long as it does business in whole or substantial part within the United States.”

That's why a lot of gambling sites block IP addresses from the US. People can get around it using VPNs but it is difficult for the US to prove that it "does business in whole or substantial part within the United States".
2616  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 13, 2018, 10:09:30 AM
I don't know what your guessing. But my account is very old and honestly I never deposit a single Santoshi into my account until now. But many times withdrawn my referral earning to my personal wallet on a weekly basis long back. Now for more than a year most of my referrals are inactive and no earnings from referrals.

But every week I used claim few times free coins and buy lottery tickets but last couple of months not so active on this site. Today only I claimed and bought free tickets with free money.

The entire history is taken into account. I was guessing that your account history doesn't just consist of free-rolls and then spending it all on lottery tickets so if that is what you did today it isn't going to be a problem. I'm not even entirely sure what wetsuit has done as he is away travelling now and what I said before was pretty much the entire content of the email I got overnight.
2617  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 13, 2018, 09:33:09 AM
What do you mean by free winnings?

Just now I claimed free coins and purchased lotteries without any issue. For quite some time I didn't claim my free coins but after reading your above post claimed and purchased lottery tickets.

I'm guessing your account roll history includes something other than just free-rolls and buying lottery tickets with every Satoshi.

So this means other section don't have posts that are much worthy to read by others?

Have a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=recent and you'll see that there is Merit in other sections. Really it is about if someone else finds a post useful or interesting.
2619  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 13, 2018, 07:39:30 AM
usually the number of tickets winners have is covering a wide range. like from 400 tickets to 4 million. but this round it seems like the lucky number was around having 25k tickets. basically every 7 or if we want to stretch it a bit 8 including the first one had near that number of tickets ...

You'll also notice that usually we sell and giveaway about 400 to 500 million tickets but last week was over 1 billion and this week 1.3 billion. Since we've reduced rewards for non-gamblers and restricted the Reward Point redemptions to try and stop the botnets they have switched to buying lottery tickets with their free-roll winnings.

It looks to me like those 8 accounts are likely part of large botnets. We're working on ways to stop them but in the meantime we have disabled the purchase of lottery tickets with free winnings.
2620  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 13, 2018, 06:06:40 AM
@DdmrDdmr hey I can see you have a huge number of merits, how you got that.

Have a look at the posts he received Merit for and you'll work it out.

This whole merit system was to stop scams

It had nothing to do with that at all. The system was designed to stop people from automatically ranking up just by posting anything. Gaining rank is now something that has to be earned by making a valuable contribution to the forum. The people polluting the forum by posting repetitive pointless posts in spam megathreads are going to be stuck on the same rank forever.
