2603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 25, 2014, 01:08:27 AM
How do I change the port in cudaminer batch file? I can only seem to use one particular port. It's been bugging me for awhile because it's a nightmare when I want to switch coins.

-o stratum+tcp://blabla.bla:port as in -o stratum+tcp://yac.m-s-t.org:3333

I'm solo mining, and only one port ever seem to work, and no matter what port I change it to, Cudaminer still tries looking for the same port.

I'm still mulling over the best way to distribute my coins. Faucet would be ideal, however I'd like some way to just send small amounts to as many new PMC users as possible.

I'll sleep on it. I'll check in again tomorrow.

I bought up what I could.

Now sitting on a respectable 175k, and sit I shall until it's 50% the value of Quark.  Smiley

Only 50%.... Smiley

Someone wants to invest $5901 in Particle....

Really? That's a lot of money. When I say I'm investing in Particle, what I'm really investing in is the Dev. I think Particle is really under the radar for a coin with such development behind it.

I can't see prices staying this low for long.

Maybe someone is buying before a major cryptocurrency advocate blogs about Particle.

And I must disclose that I have NO prior knowledge about any such event.  But it just seems inevitable..

I can't see how it can stay so cheap for so long with the development going into the coin. I think people are so blind sighted by the next new shiny coin that they forget coins with longevity are the ones that have serious development.

Another shop takes Grain as payment: Cheesy

Iquidus Technology accepts Graincoin:

More shops will come!

Great news. Grain adoption is growing.

Why am I still mining FOX?

Net hashrate 200 Mh/s against 98333 Mh/s in DOGE
Price is shit
Poor crypto-community support

So why the hell am I still mining this? IDK  Roll Eyes
Maybe FOX is so much cuter than DOGE

Sell you 100 Premine per 1k Fox.  Wink

Someone is buying then selling at same price to bring all the prices down.

Does not surprise me. Someone is trying to eat up coins.
2614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush!★Kimotos Gravity★ [Exchange] on: January 24, 2014, 11:24:43 PM
I'm not worried. I've had 5k+ coins for a week or so now, and I'm quite happy sitting here watching the drama unfold. Like I said. I wouldn't even consider selling for any less than 0.001 BTC, and even then, at this rate it may even go beyond it once Cryptsy decided to get a piece of the action.

Knew this coin would take off.  Smiley

It's getting real now...

50K is a lot to reserve for a faucet, as I said before. That's 10% of all coins that will ever exist. 5000 seems perfectly reasonable.

I have already addressed this.

Edit: If nobody has jumped at the opportunity to develop a faucet at this price, nobody is going to do it for 5k. Wink

You did? I must have missed the post.

I have to respectfully disagree, though. Once the coin hits exchanges and becomes valuable, it will gain a lot more attention. If that happens, 5k will be more than enough. 50k may actually be enough to destablise the price. Imagine someone dumping 10% of all possible coins, compared to 1%. 40x times less total coins that BTC, Klondike, Catcoin, and so on.

People will happily receive 5k coins to create a faucet when the coin becomes valuable. Nobody has created a faucet now because we have no where near reached breaking point yet.

Yes, I just looked for it, but it's buried in 65 pages of comments Wink

in summary i laid out the stipulations for it to qualify, set a deadline etc.

TBH for the faucet to qualify, it is a lot of work. really. A LOT. So the price is high. if the deadline is not met, I will pass out the 50k reserved.

I'll keep looking and PM the full explanation to you.

Thanks. I'm interested to hear the rationale behind it. I only want what's best for PMC, as do you. I'm thinking ahead to how valuable it could be in the future. Even holding 1% is a crazy amount of stake. I still have 2k+ to give away.

10k is 2% of all coins, too.

Personally I think those values should be divided by 10, given the coin's rarity. 50k would be a massive bag holder.

70 PMC sent your way Smiley

Thanks. I will distribute it to others.  Smiley

This coin could easily succeed with:

  • service like satoshi dice
  • lotteries

The problem with gambling sites is that they inevitably distribute wealth towards the site owners. We need sites that promote distribution outwards. Any services are a bonus, but I would like to see a faucet first.

Hi Bee,

I received 150000 from 9C98tikfUPaDLLp31SueP2R86hga3RzyTJ. Was this part of the mistake? If so let me know and I'll send it back.

Edit; yes, it appears on your list. Just confirm it was an error and I will send it back.  Smiley

Yes, this is as well an error payment.
Thank you.

I have returned the payment.  Smiley
