Would be great if it were scrypt, personally I can't mine absolutely anything (thinking of buying a block erupter) so no PMC for me Sad And after trading and giving away most of the PMC I had to increase transactions at first I am poor

Same here, donated every PMC I received to the Block Rewarder and now I have about 0.01 because mining a block solo is hard.
No need for a change to Scrypt tho, it's mostly an experiment to see if tx fees could make a viable future for BTC and glad to participate Smiley

I think Premine is much more than an experiment, personally. It has the potential to become a viable alternative Cryptocurrency. Why settle for uncertainty? All the coins exist. One day Bitcoin will be where Premine is, and who knows if a coin with such a large cap could even survive that kind of transition?

PMC is ahead of the curve, and by doing so it has already sidestepped the potential problem that Bitcoin and many coins like it will face.

Dogecoin went the other way with infinite inflation. PMC has gone for an absolute cap.

It would be pretty hard and risky to store BTC in Dogecoins, but if PMC takes off, then storing BTC in PMC might actually be a far safer alternative. That's a scary thought.

The network isn't imposing very high txfees right now, so I've increased the Block Rewarder probability of sending out 1 PMC rewards to 3%. I'm going to need to find a way of upping the standard reward when the network txfees are low.

I like looking at the Maxcoin richlist at mcxnow.

Just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Has it gone up or down since yesterday?

up, since last night even

Be interesting to see if we maintain that level.  Smiley

Fixing the problems with the coin would go a long way in sorting out these issues. All well and good getting it relisted, but the wallet and blockchain needs to be fixed.

Is it just me, or has the network slowed down?

this last block has taken awhile

This may not be an issue in future, but having a minimum time threshold for new blocks, then adjusting the difficulty for one block to get the network moving along seems like a good idea and one that should be on the table.

Edit: Difficulty just jumped again.

Difficulty retargetted, double since yesterday, solo mining becomes useless for me Sad

I think it'll decrease again. I don't know the current hashrate but I can feel we've lost some hashpower on the network. Willing to bet the weekend block reward Bonanza pushed the diff up quite high, which has slowed us down due to those miners moving their hashpower elsewhere.

50PMC sent to block rewarder.

Thanks. Might increase the super reward to 1 PMC and 1.5% chance of appearing in the next block.  Smiley

Sounds like a plan!!!

Done.

The Super reward of 1 PMC has a 2% chance of appearing in a new block on the network now. So 1 out of every 50, on average. The rest will contain the normal rewards.

My wallet just majorly lagged when the wallet overflowed again. I think it's because of all these little transactions I'm sending out. The wallet is 25mb now. I may need to clean it out and start another one.

If you do some sort of contest - especially one that helps build infrastructure - you can post in it in the main Alternative cryptos forum and get some publicity for PMC, and maybe convince others that the community is making an effort to add value to the coin. That additional interest could spur demand on the exchange we're on. Maybe get you some money for your coins  Undecided

Like I said, I'm fairly new with all of this, but definitely willing to help get the coin some publicity. If the dev or Nullu or anyone else would like to assist in this I will be happy to supply some PMC to get it going.

One thing you can consider is funding the block rewarder. That is an excellent way to ensure your coins promote infrastructure, get spread out well, and is long term.

Yep. If you also want a say in how much and how often you want your donated coins distributed drop me a PM. I can modify the reward conditions at any time.

Low profile for a while longer is fine. Having a growing community BEFORE it hits an exchange is a big deal.

Also, the PMC faucet made its payout bigger. Why? Wouldn't a small payout = more TX fees? I'd been getting payouts every hour to support miners.

I have always held this position. Growing the community, securing the network, building a strong DEV team, and infrastructure are the foundations we need. I'm afraid though that we are busting at the seams and another exchange with some more volume is needed at this point.

I'm in agreement. We're desperate to grow and are running out of room to do so. Amazed that another exhange hasn't jumped on this yet.

Market prices are meaningless right now anyway. Everyone is itching to buy up PMC, but realistically if we hit another exchange soon current prices may be as low as it gets. So while you're waiting for prices to go down, also consider prices may shoot up. If you have an idea of how much PMC could be worth in the next month, then ask yourself if it's worth buying PMC now, or risking the wait until it's announced on another exchange. Up to you. It's a tough call.

I was thinking the same thing. I mean if I hold on to them I'm probably going to make a very decent amount of money. But I can tell you there is no way I'm selling them for a value that is that far below what the coin is really worth. It will shoot up as soon as we hit another exchange. So unless someone want to buy at a decent price from me now, I'll just hold.

Smart decision. You may not have long to wait. Hold out for a few weeks. All that seems to be keeping the price down is that we're on one small exchange.

As I've stated above, market cap is fairly important. .00015/PMC puts us at 75BTC cap, which is far too low for a coin which isn't very dead. It would put PMC at the very last place on Coinmarketcap Wink

Yep. All that's holding PMC back is exchange volume. You just have to look at how active the coin is to see it's busting at the seams. It's outgrown its little pond very much.

I never got my PMC...

my address is:

If you are still holding my coins please send them to :/ I feel left out

This is the first time you've posted in the thread. That would explain why.  Wink

Nobody has "your" coins, because you don't appear to ever have asked for any until now.

guys you have to get this coin to mcxnow, just talked to one of the moderators there, they seem to really like the concept. talk to them or rs https://mcxnow.com/

Where have I been? I thought MCXnow was closed.

Think you can talk to them? Not sure I'll have the time this week as I have a ton of paperwork to do. I'll keep the rewarder going next week, but my stops in the thread will be brief until Thursday/Friday after I hand in the work.

Premine is an easy sell if you explain it to people. Certainly wouldn't be a bad idea.

I have a ton of PMC and I would like to sell them, but I would really rather not completely crash the price on Poloniex. Anyone want to buy? PM me.

What price and how much PMC?

I have 7774 PMC and I'd like to get no less than 3.5BTC for the lot.

EDIT: And FYI to anyone who assumes I'm bailing to make a quick buck. Yes I am selling to make money, I was lucky enough to get a good amount when the coin was released, however I am a full time college student and my car just broke down. I figure this is a good way to pay to get it fixed. However I'm also not willing to crash this coin on Poloniex by dumping almost 8000PMCs at a low price, I would rather wait for it to go back up. Just goes that I would be better off selling sooner rather than later.

Well, if you mean better off in that you need the money, then maybe, but who knows what the price will be in a few weeks. I think 2 BTC is a reasonable evaluation, although you may find it hard to find a buyer right now.

Personally, I'm holding on to mine for the long term, but it's your PMC, and you can do with it as you please.  Smiley

Perhaps you'd be better off selling it in amounts of 500-1000. Not only will you be able to sell it more quickly, but you'll also be helping the coin by distributing it.

Oh I completely agree. I have no doubt that once we hit a bigger exchange I would probably be able to make substantially more than that. That price is short of the high it hit yesterday, and I'm sure it'll go over that in time. But being a physics major it kills me to roll the dice with making it to class and what not. Like I said I don't want to crash the price with selling at .000002. So I thought I would ask the people that are supporting the coin.

That may be the current price range, but the exchange has no where near enough volume to cover it. Hence the difficult in selling it. Perhaps you should try the marketplace section and sell it in amounts of 500. You might find some buys for around 0.15 BTC.
