2601  Economy / Economics / Re: Irrelevance of Education in Nigeria. on: June 28, 2022, 11:23:35 PM
The adage (school na scam)by most Nigerian is becoming realistic.for a country to grow and develop,it most invest in is human capital.presently.universities, polytechnics and colleges are on strike.the educational system of the country is very poor.

Another problem is high unemployment rate: most graduate that are are qualified and ready to work, are not employed which is decrease the rate at which people go to school.
With the poor educational system of the country, skills acquisition and empowerment is also low which worsened the situation.
There are reasons for most Nigerians that live in the nation to believe that education isn't working in the country but I tell you this now, the education and skill set you get off the four walls of an institution is very much vital to your existence. Not minding the poor state of its educational sector and the low level of importance ots given, there is a need for the education of every Nigerian youth of proper age.

It's never compulsory anywhere that once you are out of school, you get employed by the government or some other private entities out there as, schools equips you to be an emoyer of Labour too. That's why eve as a professional, your thought a general skill set so, you could afford some level of flexibility and can diversify. You can't afford being a stalk illiterate and expect yourself to compete so well in the larger world. Yeah, you can do well even as an illiterate but, you'll still need professionals to aid you in your management system.

Education is a necessity.
2602  Other / Meta / Re: [INFO]Gambling Board Spams; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: June 28, 2022, 11:09:50 PM
Cricket is unpopular sport, so spamming on such a thread would be more difficult than on a football thread; football is one of the most watched sports, and there is news about it all over the media; most of these spammers without knowledge of the game just go to news pages, pick up some random headlines, and post it on the forum without any proper details; a user who watches the game will always contribute positively than someone who just reads news online. I know nothing about cricket, so I see no reason to go on a cricket thread and spin words; people should only talk about what they know best, and that's it. You made a point
Unfortunately, that's likely not going to be the case for most often. The football discussion threads with football being one of the most or should I say the most viewed sport, there is never going to be a dull moment on that thread and all users can't can't as professional as others so, they respond based on how they know the game.
Am sure a lot of users would have loved to by pass that section but, signature doesn't give them most of them most of the chance. Majority of campaigns on the forum are gambling platforms and as such, the need for sports analysis can't be lacking. People tends to post because they have to and not because they want to. That's the first step to posting garbage and only the managers could help put this in check. It's no easy task though and moderation on that board is a lot of work.
2603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on how I controlled my Gambling addiction. on: June 28, 2022, 11:00:43 PM
Wha ever works right! Well like you said, these are the steps that resulted in your putting gambling addiction in check but this point 3,
‌3•
I stopped myself from watching football and anything related to footballing activities for months and I used those time to engage in
other valuable things like going to the gym and reading more books during the time when there are important football matches going on.
Its on a whole new level. I mean, it's way too serious if I were to be in your shoes but yeah, it offers some discouragement as you don't get to know the current standings and forms of various teams. Of course the league table might offer some idea but still, watching some games is way better and that nails it just alright. I wouldn't do that though.

I think the most important step to fighting any addiction is your firs identifying and admittance that, this is a problem.  At that point, the next you would be about is looking for solutions if your willing to solve it and when you do, your sure to improve.
2604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: June 28, 2022, 10:42:32 PM
A better suggestion and an alternative to quitting gambling completely is to start betting with fake money gambling apps. With FAKE MONEY GAMBLING APPS, you can continue gambling on the app even on live games, but with fake money. So in reality you can maintain the experience you derive from gambling and not loose any money except the fake one in the process.

Although the original idea behind the creation of such apps was to provide a platform were individuals can practice their betting skills without loosing money before actually gambling with real money, i still find it useful to those trying to quit because they keep loosing money.
This reminds me of the formal Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri who chewed on a synthetic cigarette to mimic the actual thing while watching the game. This was to serve some therapeutic purpose or some other reasons to his addictive nature but sadly, he haven't stopped smoking.
This could be related to this fake money of a thing. It's likely not going to help so many, instead it would recycle back to its original purpose of actually helping them to practice some other techniques to betting on there favourite sports and the next thing, they would be ready to go live. Just like in demo trading! Your always sure to test out your tricks in the life and make profits off it.
2605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 28, 2022, 10:11:00 PM
in recent years the most common way of identifying manipulated games or Fix is paying attention to the attitudes of the referee of the game, the referees are the guys who are manipulating the games, they receive money to favor a certain team, it is true that with the technology that is being implemented in soccer it is increasingly difficult for games to be manipulated and the referees have not had much space to favor a certain team, but the same cannot be said in sports and fights, especially those fights that involve famous fighters and which are fights scheduled many months in advance
No doubt, the referee is the cleasest way to determine a fixed game as the players seems to play with same energy steal and maybe with just a little hold back and for football, being more greedy with the ball but even still, it's extremely difficult to detect. Your years of expertise counts very little here because, a lot is on the line, from the career of the referee, the manager of the club, board of management and others that could be banned permanently from the game. So, the presences of a federation to ensure that these match fixes never happens have almost zero the chances to it and when it does, you might never tell.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 27, 2022, 10:21:47 PM
Well, at the end of day it depends on how good or bad gambler person is. Personality makes big role in this discussion and not all employees have same mental health to think rational due to nature of gambling. Someone can run away with my hard earned money after gaining my trust while someone else can use it for personal life without bad purposes. Even if person wanna gamble and ask loan to fund his casino bankroll, I will trust his experience and share with him amount that I can afford to lose.
The truth about this is, its sure to vary per individual. Yeah, it's very difficult to trust anyone, not to even mention a gambler and not just any gambler but an addicted one for that matter to be in charge of your money. Any mistake and yiu can loose all but, its individual based. There are those that see someone else's money as being just that and defines a fine line between themselves and that money and do the most not to cross it. Even in hardship, they dare not see it for a chance to make money off what was put in there care for safe keeping because they have imagined the worst and won't wish to risk it. These sort of individuals once found, there is a greater tendency of entrusting them with your money.

Just like Tony Bloom and others, it is possible that you can turn your hobby into a profitable business venture if you are confident of your skillsets. Have you ever considered a career in betting consultancy?
That's one way to make some cool cash and of something you love and I would feel like an orgazm rendering such services. Unfortunately i still see bet for a game of luck, even though the presented write up tends to prove that it has been professionalised to a large extent, its still with much risk.

Considering a consultancy profession in the field, I supposedly think that ain't for me. It just doesn't go given the fact that, its a game of luck for me and I can go very easy on my analysis. Most of it comes as a hunch with a little of history upon the teams, parties or games. I guess what am saying is, I can't risk it for some other individual on betting tips/directives.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 27, 2022, 07:47:21 PM
It's true they are very passive in the transfer market now but they have a lot of players out now and I think they will continue to lose players because there are some rumors about Azpi and Alonso now who are said to want to leave the Stampord Bridge.
They have to move fast for now because this will definitely have a bigger impact on his performances next season.
Yeah, they've been very passive and needs to do more some active signing with less talks. Especially with the fact that, most of its players have been signed to other clubs and your talking of the likes of A. Rudiger out to a Real Madrid deal, D. Drinkwater and A. Christensen out and some potential transfer of H. Ziyech, C. Pulisic, M. Alonso and a few others all in tbe market should some good deals come through. Chelsea is loosing so much of its star players and needs to replenish its team.
I was disappointed to learn that, R. Sterling heads Thomas Tuchel's transfer list. Ousmane Dembele and Richarlison of Everton suites better for the teams forward while they look out for more competent players for there defence line.

I just saw a similar thread Teaching college students about bitcoin a while back and that seems to have been published on the forum days before yours came through. I wonder if this is what we are to be expecting these days!
Also, you might want to readjust your photos as it's way too ambiguous as you have it and don't make for a proper appreciation of your literary piece. You can reference the similar thread as at above for guides on the placement. Perhaps quote and edit as need be.

It's a nice initiative though, to ensure the younger generation gets a bit of the truth on cryptocurrencies before the government and anticrypto individuals and organisations feed them with FUD. Foundations such as this could help them to be more aware and prepare themselves for the future ahead but, I hope it doesn't divert there focus of there curriculum though.
2610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Crossed 20k USD!! Don’t lose hope now. on: June 27, 2022, 05:46:38 PM
The bear market is a whole lot of another story in the lives of crypto investors. In some way, its a time to shade off old skin in the likes of those who aren't true crypto investors and came to party just because of the pump and so, they end up panic selling when it dumps. In the same time, it creates an opportunity for new investors to step into the field and for existing true investors to increase there hodlings. A complete blessing in disguise that your not going to like the feeling if you've got no other source of income to keep you going. It teaches so many lessons that I feel its a necessity to be experienced. The devaluation of your hodlings and the distress it could bring.

Good enough, it's on the rise again and rather slowly than the pace at which it dumped and all these are in line with building a healthy market and that's a good thing.
2611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching college students about Bitcoin on: June 27, 2022, 05:07:58 PM

You blur your image, can you do the same for those kids? They are still under their parents and I don't think you have the permission to publish their faces on the internet, Please blur it for their own privacy too.
Having this quote still in this way actually defeats your aim of safeguarding the children's identity/privacy. You might want to edit your quote as OP have effected your correction.

Mean while, I don't know if this was the best initiative as its got some biasness to it but, I hope the children don't get it wrong and see crypto for some easy way to be rich. There is a phrase that goes "catch them young". It's the way warlords in times past used in raising soldiers out of children and craft them to become so routeless and feared almost nothing. This is the sort of effect teaching cryptos to minors might result as, it would tend to be all they care about since its got monetary value attached. I hope that doesn't become the case as there are other aspects to life for them to look out for and gain knowledge on too.

In the end , you've done noble in ensuring they understand or at least get some knowledge of the opportunity in there environment and the true knowledge of what is reduced to a vice by ignorant and anticrypto people/organisations in the society. Keep it up.
2612  Other / Meta / Re: Enforce “grammarly ” like score minimum to post.. on: June 25, 2022, 02:08:28 PM
To say the least, this is synonymous to the classical IQ April fool stunt thrown to users by Theymos months ago and I feel this would be met with the same conclusion, as the discussion on its validity preceeded. It might take a different line but ends in rating to enable posting and that doesn't seat well with me, given the fact that some users are at advantage than others. Those who have finished college, went to better schools, not from poor countries and have English as there official language.
It entertains bias and you don't start a rating on all with such and we've also got local board posting to consider too!

Would put a good dent in rapid posting shitposters too.. Almost even like a bot filter.

Imagine if all the spam on this forum suddenly had to meet a grammar score standard, lmao..
It could possibly be revolutionary in posting quality improvement..
What percentage of shitposts on this forum would even come close to like a 30% grammar score?
It could wipe out so much utter trash..
As much as I see reasons how this could restrict users without proper use of English grammar from posting too rapidly, the same can't be said for those that speak proper English as that doesn't guarantee that they won't spam!
I guess the best approach to this would always be report to moderator and have them decide if its worth dumping in the trash or not.
2613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in time of rescue. on: June 25, 2022, 07:27:48 AM

I was happy  to have rescued those innocent kids wondering about for help. Internally I had joy that filled me all through and secondly I was able to do that through Crypto payment.
It is noble of you to have felt compassion and the desire to help towards another human being. I must confess, I grew cold towards this over the years haven't met several pan handlers and the many children they deploy at several round abouts in my city. It turned to be an everyday culture for them and some way of making earns means and I don't very much support the idea. In recent times, I started seeing them with penny packs or purse and I wonder whats going on?

Like, they completely give up on starting any form of minor trading and feel a lot comfortable prying on the masses compassion and feeding off them! The parents or guardians seats at a corner watching the kids they deploy along the road to interact with strangers in a bid to seek for aids and when you aid them in terms of money, they just collect, show appreciation and the next thing, they run down to their parent or guardian and hand it over. At times, should you choose to get them food, they would refuse and want money instead!

I don't adorn the practice and I don't think buying them food or handing them money everyday would be the best way to help these people!
Funny enough, these poor families seems to birth more children than an average rich man. I guess its out of spending more time with there partners as they've always got a lot of energy reserves, lol!
2614  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: June 24, 2022, 06:57:42 PM
It's impressive still how you always manage to come through with these data set each time and present them accurately, taking into consideration all the boards and soon to be accorded board's activities. I can only say, well done and its a noble idea to keep users up to date on the activities of there forum locale, show to them how far they've come and statistics to necessary motivation to push further.

The most active members per local board during May 2022

Last but not the least, list of top 10 most active members per local boards. Even though I expected joker_josue (who was still great with 327 posts) to dominates this list again, this time Azrieli from Russian local board was the most active one with the impressive 359 posts written.
I did an average of how many posts these guys could come up with daily and it landed me in 11.58 although 11 is numerically acceptable but mehn, that's a lot of post. And that's supposedly for only the local boards.
It's always a pleasure to see that the Nigerians continues to furge ahead in keeping the spirit active even with a yet to be granted request. Well done guys and many thanks to Rikafip for ensuring we don't loose track!
2615  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 24, 2022, 06:32:40 PM
I also like to ask everyone of you here, where if you are in favor that all cryptocurrency
must be regulated under byt the government?

Do you also think that all retirees savings are prohibited to invest in the cryptocurrency?

Which is more safe Regulated Cryptocurrency or not Regulated?
When it comes to regulation as that is the aim of governments around the world and they would stop at nothing until it is archived or they totally fail at it and get to accept that, its not possible! Cryptocurrency shouldn't be regulated.
I mean, should Cryptocurrency be regulated, of what difference would it be to fiat or the CBDC as we have it these days?
It's as well as pushing it off the market or out of existence. I don't see that happening anyways!

So where does this prohibition of retirees savings come in. Do they get go monitor what you do with your earned money after you withdraw them? It's always going to be entirely up to you to decide where to risk it.

Perhaps we should live our regulated digital currency in the CBDC for those who care to use those and the unregulated in actual cryptos, especially Bitcoin.
2616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 06:13:57 PM
In our world today, when we hear about gambling, we tend to see it yo be a vice and not of any moral standard. In fact, being a gambler almost make you look like a criminal in the eyes of some and I tell us right now, that gambling is not a crime. Perhaps it's got people into more shit than they could handle today and when not properly managed has stirred up some crime but gambling in itself is no vice.

Hence, when it comes to letting a gambler handle my money, I ask why the hell not. This gambler might be an addictive gambler but could have moral backings enough not to tamper with some one else's money. Some gamblers can handle themselves that much and when they do, you can trust them not to gamble on your funds. If it is otherwise, then you've got reasons to be scared.
2617  Other / Meta / Re: Spamming way of creating threads on: June 24, 2022, 05:50:33 PM
Like a few users have stated, reporting to moderators might be the best way to go about determining if the posts is of any value at ll or not. Although, I felt with the no response on most of the threads created so far by this user, he ought to have realise how his post is received by the community and maybe develop a better approach to create posts that would b engaging. It would help the user even up to the blog site and not leveraging the Unofficial rule of the forum just to see how it would go. There might not be rules as to how frequent a user might create threads but, users should create threads that they are really interested in discussing and not just post with the intent of living it there. OP just wants to gain clicks on his links and not discuss as the case is should have been with threads created on the forum.

It's surprising that a much pronounced board like Politics and Society comes without a moderator. If gambling board could have one, I suppose the P&H should have one too. I see that the rules to this board was crated by Flying Hellfish and possibly its moderation but the user haven't been active for almost a year. I wonder if the user is still with us and could this be the reason for the neglecton the board? Something ought to be done.
2618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difference Between Bitcoin and Crypto currency on: June 23, 2022, 01:08:59 PM
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is just a broad name for which bitcoin amongst other alternative or alternate cryptocurrencies (Altcoins) frim Bitcoin are classified. Make no mistake, there is no difference between Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. They are all a packet of one with the other being a broad name that accommodates all. The reason Bitcoin seems so pronounced is because, it is the pioneer cryptocurrency, it is truly decentralized and haven't broken faith with most of its faithful since inception. When we look at altcoins, a lot of them turns out to be scams being pump and dump coins where, the developers just generate revenue off there coin offerings and leave.
The bottom line and your take from this is, Bitcoin is indeed a type of cryptocurrency.
2619  Other / Meta / Re: [INFO]Gambling Board Spams; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: June 23, 2022, 01:00:12 PM
I don't buy the idea of having to create a new gambling thread for each season. It doesn't really change much of the outcome as, the game remains the game and users that frequent the gambling boards knows better to check out the last page to be updated or current on the on going discussions. A new season coming with a new thread doesn't change that. It only means, more threads to be archived or trashed and nothing changes with the threads title except for what season it is.

There are a lot of spams in the gambling board, haven't been there myself and where it gets really bad as I see it is, where some users gets to make 90-100% of there posts on the gambling board. That shit ain't cool to me but somehow, it's tolerated and so, the spams thrive. It's something to look into, so as to promote the learning values of the forum and not let th fun part cast a shadow on the part that requires users to share ideas on ways to develop and better understand the crypto space.
2620  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] A Confirmation POP-UP Message Before Publishing A Post on: June 23, 2022, 12:51:56 PM
I get the picture your trying to paint and understand how this future is supposed to work, haven't encountered it in several exchanges while confirming a P2P transaction but, coming to the forum, it would be very annoying and time consuming if you ask me. Given the fact that, its got to load twice just to get a post on a thread. Although, this error could be avoided in times of making a wall of text. It doesn't feel like the best of idea to create a thread directly while on the forum. I get it that, you need certain forum special keys/code function to insert certain characters but still, you could be familiar with them haven't been here for a time and otherwise, you could come off and on in terms of getting the needed tools and using it on your thread.

What am proposing is, you get to work on your thread whole offline using notepads. Most devices have got this future and better for you still, your MS-Word would do just fine except for the form special keys/codes but a off and on insertion would intervene for that. You still get to copy and preview as you go and your back to your system again. That way, your thoughts are sure to be one directional and the chances of clicking a different icon is very much limited.
