Am bumping this thread because there are claims coming from some self-described "NFT Historians" that Satoshi not only created BitDNS but the technology behind "the first NFTs," which they say are Namecoin names/IDs. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpbs.twimg.com%2Fmedia%2FFWjGfsSWYAEztyW%3Fformat%3Djpg%26name%3Dlarge&t=665&c=yZMp93_tEKLmIw) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FZQFA6gQ.png&t=665&c=BdEPG2Bsr64tdw) As far as I know, Satoshi did not contribute to the technical development of BitDNS or Namecoin but rather proposed an outline of an idea of how it could work. I know its a hail mary to ask for anyone who might have been around at the time to chime in but I would like to get their opinions on the subject of whether or not Satoshi created BitDNS or the "first NFTs." Would be great to hear from @theymos since he "worked" on BitDNS even before Satoshi!

How we all doing?
ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz you? Good, and you?
Hey fellas. Not too bad, all things considered. Was away for awhile. Had a few drinks, saw a few things... I believe what the current situation boils down to is: There's a lot of uncertainty right now but the one thing I'm sure of is the fundamentals of what we believe in haven't changed. The only thing that has changed is macroeconomic conditions. Bitcoin has only ever lived in a bull stonk market until now. So is this a broader correction or something deeper? Let's hope its the former.

Hi all. Just wanted to point out that Dogeparty is back alive and well. It was retooled and brought back to life in September of last year, and I've been doing stuff with it the entire time I was away from the forum! Needless to say the market hasn't been cooperating for some time, but if you're interested in minting your own NFTs on the Dogecoin blockchain for super cheap, I recommend checking it out! https://www.dogeparty.netFeel free to ask me any questions about it, here or in the official Dogeparty thread. Quoted the post below for some reference to Dogeparty's history. Dogeparty Hangout #10 - MAKING GAME TOKENS AND ITEMS USING DOGEPARTY... This hangout will orient itself around the concept of creating new tokens for use in games. The definition of "tokens" may be in-game currencies, in-game items, and so on. We will lead Hangout participants through various scenarios in which they may want to do this, highlighting the interesting possibilities inherent to cryptographically securing such things, and making them fungible. Some minor technical examples will follow, basically utilizing the CP/DP API and showing how quickly a developer can get up and running with it. I see you love to dig forum for old posts, you must know a lot of crypto currencies.
There's a lot of hidden treasures buried in this forum. I'm gonna start a thread asking people to post their favorite old threads. You didn't make it. Still never made that thread, other people did, but I thought it was an appropriate time to bump this one. I would agree that selling some of your 50k bitcoins is actually a smart move. Being too greedy can leave you with nothing.
Wonder if he kept any of them. Is keeping bitcoins considered "greedy" these days? This thread should be revisited in Jan 2018. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) In retrospect, that would have been amazingly astute timing.

Fast-forward 5 years: Dogecoin fees are still low! Elon was mocked for this tweet in May of last year: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FsAMhcaw.png&t=665&c=_TTmbyxnj7lvWg) but he actually made good on his promise, and it manifested in the form of a massive reduction of fees. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/dogecoin-doge-fee-reduction-upgrade-220940366.htmlBasically, you can send txs with fees as little as 0.01 DOGE now, though 0.02 DOGE is recommended. This makes transacting far cheaper than BTC and far, far cheaper than ETH. With a decent distribution, solid backers and a committed development team, the future of DOGE is perhaps brighter now than it ever was.

I did something similar to test them. They seem alright. Now I keep a good chunk of my NMC there for trading the swings and accumulating more. I also use their charts for most of my analysis for trading other coins.
OK then I won't convert to something withdrawable in panic, especially now that we're at a nice little loss. I just wanted to have 100 NMC. But then the wallet broke before I could get all of them. If anybody wants to do a trade, 100 NMC for +5% market rate, payable in BTC or DOGE. Please feel free to PM me. I'll probably insist that you send first. Thanks.

@hilariousanco You are obviously incapable of acting independent of years-long grudges. This was true about you years ago. To be honest with you, nobody is capable of that. It's part of human nature so I forgive you. However, this type of situation highlights how stale and inefficient the current moderators are. And if theymos agrees with them, then him as well. It highlights the need for fresh blood and someone capable of examining issues from other angles, which hilarious obviously cannot do. Here I am clearly trying to perform a good deed for no other reason than not wanting to see people not get scammed. You move my thread at the behest of a scammer. I change my topic to "follow the rules" and IN YOUR DISCRETION you move it back. If you end up banning me over this, it will prove every assumption I made as true. In a serious note, it would not look good that in a sticky thread there is an advertisement. Common-sense brother.
Again, you're a step late following the logic of the discussion. I only added the "advertisement" part to make it an on-topic thread. I would of course remove it if the thread was stickied.

Everything can be made easier for everyone if we can divide in into two separate topics. The quoted part can be a separate topic in the currency exchange board and everything else are well qualified for reputation section.
Sorry but why is it so hard to grasp that moving the topic anywhere other than Currency Exchange DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THE ENTIRE TOPIC. People who just check that section for deals and don't even create an account would NEVER think to check ANYWHERE. That's why the thread exists!! Sticky the thread to Currency Exchange. Problem solved.

EDIT: SOLD OUT IN 4 HOURS

Any of you guys have much experience with CoinEx? They are by far the biggest market for NMC. So I made a deposit, did the trade, requested a withdrawal and then... sat and waited. And waited some more. After 5 hours I contacted support. They said I needed to re-do my email verification, so I did it, and sure enough the withdrawal went through.
That was encouraging enough to do a second deposit and now the NMC wallet is "down for maintenance."
Was I their only real NMC customer and its all fake volume or whats going on over there?

I have a dilemma. Is it appropriate to report shitposts in a literal shitcoin thread?
That post I don't mind so much because it documents my road warrior map in case I try to be sneaky and change it later on. The other garbage can be nuked away as this isn't any 'ol Shitcoin we're discussing here. Suchmoon I'm afraid I can't let you go on as a no-shitcoiner. After you've received 1 million shitcoins there will be no way to mistake you from the hoardes of no-shitcoining wannabes trying to ride the shitcoin wave. Please send me a personal Dogecoin address before I find one from your past and send it there, thanks. Just think of all the great accusations that will arise after I've made you a Full Partner at Shitcoin 3.0 Enterprises.

@mprep @hilariousandco Stop moving my topic. Since you're so big on everybody following the rules, please follow them yourselves and READ the OP of the thread you keep moving. You will see I am seeking to perform a cryptocurrency exchange with trusted forum members. A scammer asks you to jump through holes for them. You oblige. I jump through the same set of holes. You continue to help the scammer. Why? Edit: a reasonable compromise would be making it a Sticky thread in the Currency Exchange section.

are we allowed to just write "bump" in a thread if its not our thread?
Anyway, ICOs are so dead. This should really be an Initial Sushi Offering on SushiSwap.

To the moderator who keeps moving my topic: Please note the updated OP which contains language that renders the thread no longer "off-topic". Update Nov. 3: I am seeking to exchange currencies with well-reputed members (only). Contact me via PM please if you need something.
I changed it before the last time it was moved. The thread is now very much my own way of advertising a limited digital currency exchange service. As a 7+ year Bitcointalk member with zero history of scamming, I'm asking that you please respect my service by leaving the thread in the proper section of the forum.

Sorry Loyce I just needed to clarify something. (the only way you would fall off of DT mid month is if you yourself have removed your own DT list (as has been proven to occur elsewhere)) ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I've always been curious. Well since I noticed it. Why do you call it a "DT list"? Its just a "T" list as the "D" stands for "default" whereas personal trust inclusions are not "default trust", by default. Its a bit bizarre because in the first half of the sentence above you use "DT" correctly. Just wondering what your logic was behind calling every personal trust list a "default trust" list.

Page for SHITCOINMinted in Dogecoin block 337,394, SHITCOIN is one of the first altcoin parody projects, brought to life on the forum on August 15, 2014.
![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FAgzTcvS.jpg&t=665&c=vJNslRNAB1540w)
The SHITCOIN logo was uploaded to imgur seven years ago, making SHITCOIN one of the first and longest-running instances of an image being assigned to a tokenized cryptocurrency. Burned, revamped and retrofitted for 2021, SHITCOIN is simultaneously a parody, collectible, and real project, continuing to break ground while thinking outside the box.
