2601  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: May 22, 2021, 01:01:28 PM
Very nice promotions on 4-3free I took both already and am confident of hitting at least one (which is not Eurovision hehe) but where else can we get free money for easy predictions?

Anyone got any advice on the bigger BTC promo for 6 predictions though? Matches are a few hours away but so difficult for me to lock in my predictions. My guess is no zero score though for today everyone will be desperate to score nothing but goals.
2602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk caused BTC crashed today. Buy the dip on: May 22, 2021, 11:59:28 AM
Maybe there is truth in that, those institutions are taking this as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin. But for those who panicked and sold theirs, we can't blame them. For them, that is the right decision to take, after all, that's their money to begin with. So for them even at a loss, they sold it. But in my opinion, do we really need to blame Elon or China on what is happening in this market? I don't think it is right to single out them. They are just one of the many reasons why we are having correction.

Not all. We saw also quite a number of socalled institutions sold their coins,,, which is quite weird as we all thought they were going to be hodlers and not be affected by a random elon musk tweet. I guess this proves that even some professional funds and socalled pro traders for longterm investment are no different to retails!
2603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More China Craziness - "Cracking done on mining" on: May 22, 2021, 07:53:59 AM
China wants digital yuan,,, and anything that is competing or even looks close to their CBDC must be considered a threat. They were even giving out free CBDC in some provinces last year so we know for sure digital yuan is not IF but WHEN.

They will kill Bitcoin seemingly at first but this will end up being a good thing for crypto, just see!:)
2604  Economy / Speculation / Re: From trader become holder because the market is crashing on: May 22, 2021, 07:12:58 AM
It is not a disaster at all. It is very highly unlikely you bought at 62k,,, so you are still very much in a comfortable zone losing 50% of your Bitcoin worth. I have lost over 95% of worth of my coins and still held for sure you can do the same as this is Bitcoin, not just any other coin but the very best and most mature of crypto.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: SecretScan project on: May 21, 2021, 03:30:16 PM
The best advertisement for the site will be when they finally manage to get a nice big fat private key from somebody and share it here or access it to redistribute everything to small wallets;)

We all know this will never happen,,, remember the big collider project? Where is all the news and retrieved private keys from that one right?
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH Hit $6K this week? on: May 21, 2021, 12:53:57 PM
It is hard to see ETH can hit $6k this week as the ETH price drops too deep. But it could happen in the next month or the future because ETH still has the potential to increase higher and back to that price. Besides that, with bitcoin price drops too deep, ETH will stay at the current price or it can down for more. This correction makes many people sad as bitcoin is down and the altcoin follows down. But we should not give up and just wait without doing anything because we can buy any potential at a low price.

That goes without saying for any coin though to say "it could happen in the future".

I read the interview recently with Vitalik Buterin and even he does not know if this is already the start of the crypto bubble (he has lost his status now as crypto billionaire but still very rich with $800M).

I do want people to be sad and give up now though. Then we get more sustained price growths!
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 21, 2021, 12:12:12 PM
This season Villarreal has played extremely well in Europe, so I feel that the bookmakers have underrated them somewhat by giving them odds between 4.5 and 5 to win. The quality of Manchester United's players puts them in a competitive advantage, but Villarreal's record in Europa League this season is impressive, with 12 wins and two draws from 14 games. In contrast, the Red Devils have struggled in defense in recent games. They obviously had problems without their captain.
It will be an interesting day on May 26. A number of factors point to a very exciting final, much more exciting than the odds suggest.

But United will get their captain back and we have to be fair to them, they had tougher opponents than Villareal (also not to mean disrespect to anyone). I will not even mention what happened to my Spurs team here who just completely blew their chances at a "weak" team of Dinamo Zagreb. But yes, 5x for Villa is a really nice odds to hit.
2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 21, 2021, 10:42:26 AM
I always heard that Dubai was not your average Islamic State. As far as I know they even let woman drive cars. I also heard you would find more prostitutes in Dubai than you would find in Amsterdam. That's also interesting.

And now they let casinos? Hardly surprising if they ever do it.

It is definitely not your average. They are like most Muslim countries, they apply the law strictly to their own citizens and mostly their ethnic people but they are much more relaxed about it when it comes to outsiders.

And yes I also heard stories about prostitutes there but you find this in any city. The difference is that in Dubai it is hidden and illegal,,, in Amsterdam you can literally go window shopping for them;)
2609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Cricket Match-Fixing Scandal on: May 21, 2021, 10:11:14 AM
From what I heard, he was double crossed by the BJP guys. The court had acquitted him and it ruled that the ban against him was illegal. But the BCCI would not remove the ban, due to the involvement of powerful people (Sreesanth made a lot of enemies during his career). When the state elections were around in 2016, Sreesanth was approached by the BJP and was asked to contest as a candidate. In return he got the assurance that his ban will be removed. He contested the elections, but after that BJP went back on its word.

Sigh,,, welcome to Asian politics which bleeds all the corruption and scandals into sports. Happens in football also and even small games like badminton, but yes, very problematic in cricket.

In Pakistan, the country's leader was an ex cricket player too so we all know cricket gains respect and it leads you into a path to popularity and politics. Very sad but unfortunately,,, nothing new.
2610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bloodbath! on: May 21, 2021, 08:57:29 AM
I saw a quater of a billion dollar bitcoin bought yesterday on bitfinex and I was amazed! That single transaction was a prove to me that bitcoin has gone beyond retail trader and investors, institutions are buying! Another bank anounce today of their intention to create a portfolio for some of their wealth client who wants to invest in cryptocurrency! What I am saying in essence is this, bitcoin fell and it will sure recover very soon! This might be a good time  to take position on bitcoin and altcoin!

You must really have missed the last one year of news then because institutions have not stopped buying,,, they started a while ago and probably even longer before the media started covering it in great length. Michael Saylor said he did not sell a single coin, and in fact with more adding to their holdings we have just witnessed weak hands dropping BTC;)

Good for everyone else who already learns crypto lessons!
2611  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Asking the pro's if this exchange is real. please I need your professional view. on: May 21, 2021, 08:38:42 AM
I would hold off on all these exchanges,,, why choose a new one when you have plenty of existing and reputable ones? I never get this. And worse case scenario in these countries you can still do p2p markets that are way safer with escrow.

Let them build trust and reputation first!
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 21, 2021, 06:43:41 AM
Watch out Chelsea for Villa. Already made us Spurs look bad and maybe never see Europa again.

About Kane I disagree that it was his farewell. He was emotional,,, and he looked lonely but that is what we see on the field and we have no idea what goes on behind the doors in training with his team. I know he is a loyal guy and we will not ever blame him if he leaves, but I think there is reason to believe he will stay on.
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin sun is now the Hero in crypto world on: May 21, 2021, 04:44:31 AM
I will never forget the video of him and another crypto influencer laughing about Tron as a jokecoin and shitcoin or something. And then buying BTT and also even buying the great Steemit and turning it into a pile of crap,,, it is like everything he touches has become bad. It is a good thing Bitcoin cannot be affected by this guy. Sorry but he is not a hero.
2614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Decide: Are You an Investor or a Gambler? on: May 20, 2021, 07:13:25 PM
Buying it now does not make you an investor,,, buying it at any time does. I think the only real investor are those who just do dollar cost average buying or those who make a new investment at a fixed time (whether calendar or profit/revenue portion based).

Anyone who trades cannot really be an investor:)

2616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 20, 2021, 05:49:53 PM
Bitcoin should be trading around $100k before the year run out! Many people were caught on aware of the bull we have had since the begining of the year! Somet times, there might be profit apathy on the side of profit makers! Defi had had a good run in 2020 and lots of people made lots of money  participating in Defi so, when the Bull run came for Btc, they were tired! Bear time is the best season
 to make gains in crypto!

Six months is a lot of time in crypto so I would tend to agree that this is a possibility,,, but we have to be really careful because the likelihood of going down is still strong now and if there are one or two more big crisis that happens in these few weeks/months,,, we may have to forego the 100k target by December.

Defi is still the big risk/danger though.
2617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 20, 2021, 03:17:36 PM
I do feel bad for Leicester, I always like it when smaller teams do well... but then Leicester have already won the league before, and now the cup, so maybe that's enough.

I think Liverpool will qualify for the Champions League, along with Chelsea. On the balance of the season I think Leicester maybe deserve it more than Liverpool, but it's a close thing.

It is never enough. Once you have tasted success you want more. As a fan especially it is very hard to see a winning combination taken down. You understand how us Spurs fan felt after being second many times, including in Champions League final and now the big possibility we are not even playing in Europa League.

We can all say we deserve more but in the end, season points do not lie. I accept Spurs fate, Leicester must accept theirs.
2618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: May 20, 2021, 03:06:06 PM
Let someone close know your habits, your budgets, your wins and losses. And you do the same for them. Take care of each other like a buddy system:)
it's best to have someone who's going to go back to back with you whenever you play the game.

Yes,,, like I said. It has to be a circle of trust. On one side,,, you are guarding them and caring for them because you have no money in their pot, and on the other hand they are doing the same for you. Mutually taking care of each other, and having no money in each other's pot. I know this is hard to do (find trust circle) but it really works.
2619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 20, 2021, 12:00:50 PM
Almost every OPEC nation now have trillions of USD worth of assets stored in various Sovereign wealth funds (SWF). They have invested mostly in American and European stocks, and these markets have returned good profits in the last two years (despite the pandemic). The Gulf nations in particular, have learnt their lesson from the slump of 2008-09. The oil prices have remained below $100 per barrel for almost 7 years now, but the impact is limited to some of the smaller nations such as Venezuela and Angola.

Correct. In the past maybe they spent it too much on developing low value projects in their country but they definitely learned their lessons to invest the oil money into a load of foreign investments which are doing very well. They got the shock from the past of oil no longer going up in price no matter the embargoes so they definitely are smarter than we think in general. So no,,, gambling is not necessary for them or for their profile.
2620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2021, 11:19:16 AM
Good call.  And Brighton was still value at 5 imo.  And I think the City boys were celebrating the day before the match.  I saw some vids at the twitterz with Pep and his boys at a party singing Oasis songs.  Lol.

They prolly played with a hang over.  Cheesy

Yes and even the bookies knew that at 5x odds,,, I know Pep said after the game it was difficult because of the red card but they were already 2 goals up so they should admit their defence is bad (they took down an offensive player and put back in another defensive one). Happy for him of course he deserves it but Team C was also probably just not good enough;)
