I knew something was up with them early on when they were selling Gridseed miners, but I didn't voice my concerns because I had no proof and I was running a competing business so I thought it would look like FUD. I only voiced those concerns with my business partner. They were offering free lifetime hosting for all Gridseed purchases. This is how I knew they were running some sort of scheme. Since I was in the same business I knew the costs of hosting hundreds to thousands of Gridseeds and it didn't make sense they were able to do this for free considering the margins involved in the sale of equipment. Naturally everyone bought from them and not my business so I quickly went out of business due to their scam. I am glad to see them get what was coming to them.
Paycoin was an utter joke as well.. promising to buy back coins for X amount of dollars was a hilariously outrageous proposition. I can't believe anyone actually believed that claim.
He did that easily by just not paying the bill http://ia600507.us.archive.org/17/items/gov.uscourts.mssd.88839/gov.uscourts.mssd.88839.docket.html

Cryptsy knew 100% that hashlets were fake long before getting involved. This is not opinion, it is fact. I was informed of this by those is a high position there who, for now, will stay unnamed. This was long before PayCoin was even listed there. My disdain for the shitty people (as people) working there makes this an even sweeter moment because I know exactly what will happen next I tried telling you guys this literally two years ago, called this exact outcome, and was called a liar and troll. Maybe next time you will believe when I say something

No idea what their current situation is. The reason I haven't been posting is because I don't really care..
Besides, I've been busy helping an old rug scrubber buddy start a limo company, I haven't been paying attention to much around here for well over a month
I assume BCX has the same opinion of then that I do, whether they post they agree or not

I'm going to be uploading the first stage of updates if anyone wants to test them out. I've not built it for Windows yet, but if anyone wants it, just let me know and I'll whip one up quick. If you can compile yourself, the new Alpha Github Repo is located here: https://github.com/DigiCubeCrypto/DigiCube-DevelopmentChangesWay too many to start listing. The main thing of note for this release is a major change to the way databases work. I have upgraded it to use leveldb for some more changes we have planned in the coming days. I am only posting this version so people can be ready with the new blockchain database system for the next updates. This is a complete overhaul of the base code with many changes and many, many rewritten lines. This means that the blockchain database will be handled differently, more efficiently (I hope). When using this wallet for the first time, you must sync from block 1. However, you do not need to remove any files at all, it will not overwrite the current blockchain if you want to go back to the old wallet. Both the new and the current versions of the blockchain will be stored in the same folder and use the same wallet.dat. If you have any issues, try renaming wallet.dat to something else until you are fully synced, then close the wallet and rename the wallet with funds on it to wallet.dat This is Mango. I'm at like 60% synced with it

I think you are missing the point completely, I am on your side and think they are shit. The intent behind how I say it is negative, not positive
Plus, after there years it still takes an hour to load one page. That's crazy for the speed at which crypto moves

Yup he got you there. LOL I was there on chat when you were going through all that drama BCX
BCX had also created a topic late 2013'ish that said.. Isn't it fishy every time the price of Bitcoin goes up Cryptsy has withdrawal problems ? And i replied back to it saying.. I KNOW !! I said i had come to the same conclusion and i was posting about on chat *in advance. Saying here goes the price again.. get your BTC out now guys before "the problems" come back. (maybe it slipped BCX's mind he made that topic long ago ?)
SO i don't know where you all stand on Cryptsy but i have stuck up fro Cryptsy a lot in the past as many of you have. I have tried VERY hard to give them chance after chance.. but in the end left.
Nobody not even BitJohn himself says they have a good track record. Read the link in my sig and see BJ saying himself word for word.
I have -ALWAYS- tried to say things have *looked* fishy with them. Why is another matter..
I am just calling it as i see it. Nothing personal with ANY of you.. including Cryptsy staff or their old users (whether i get along with them or not)
I didn't make up and lie about witnessing a zillion problem i seen first hand. I stand behind any story i have told as the truth to the best of my ability.
Anyway guys.. We veered off-topic here pretty hard. LOL I can't speak for others but when i speak with a serious tone i try and choose my words carefully. Something that seems scammy vs i have proof of a scam being exposed is different.
I had posted on this topic saying i don't see the "gotcha" I didn't see the smoking gun of undeniable truth that he was busted cold. It's tunnel vision... i am looking at 1 point. Maybe the circumstances surrounding the things said about spots -LOOK- bad or *seem* fishy. but that is not the same as we got him !
..my 2 cents. ..my perspective.
The withdraw issues are because of their storage practices. Cold to them is warm to us, if you catch my drift

I confirm, iGotSpots is a scammer!
I agree. He and just about every one of those cryptsy regulars are ! lol Spoetnoob is playing his part as the controlled opposition.. (taken from the VERY recent... "CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action" thread.. A community driven investigation is ongoing. I hate Cryptsy more than any of you ever will and the feeling is mutual because I told people they stake user balances and move/dump for free while triple dipping users on fees (when they can actually withdraw, but that's for another tIme to discuss). I could write a book with all the bullshit I haven't even posted before. Many disgruntled employees are on my contact list for a very long time. I hear the complaints often That thread has nothing to do with me, I am not a fan of them by any means lol I haven't even logged into my account for over two years, well well before any verifications were even in place; Coinbase is the only place I use I can't speak for BCX, but when you bite the hand that feeds, too many times, it turns around and smacks you in the face

Wow. Stupid people in this thread don't even understand the question lol

I used to. To very influential crowds. However, now I do not put my reputation on the line, with people whose opinions I value, to join in the middle school sandbox that has emerged in this toxic community

Opinion? I posted 25 facts, including this one, all of which you ignored:
"The IRS agents have no legal authority to demand anything from you, if there are no 3rd party informational documents sent to them with your name on it."
Make sure you save this link so you can use it as 'Exhibit A' for your defense later on

I wonder if anyone has been gaming the blockchain during all this..

It is NOT taxed if 1) you do not tell the authorities 2) you do not have your name connected to the addresses
My friend asked his tax accountant; the accountant was smart and asked my friend if his name was connected to any bitcoin wallets; my friend said "no" and the reply from the accountant was basically "I do NOT want to hear about your bitcoin".
He should fire that accountant immediately
