Just sent some DOGEs on Bter ... 500k ... it took less then 10 minutes to appear ... Well I can say Bter works very well ... Just writing to clarify little the last posts where I saw deposits going for hours or day ... Now sicne I moved for test mainly ... need to decide if operate little with it or put back safely to my wallet I can just say what I witness with my doge today. Something under 200k arrived at BTER after 221 confirmations. Still missing 2 million, also 243 confirmations, send 13:37 (GMT+1) thats over 3h now. TBH I've had issues with Bter as well. Vircurex has been good to me though. +1 Never let me down either.

If the tapeout is on February 20th, where does that put us? When can we realistically start mining? I know setting a concrete date is hard, but any estimate could help us investors decide if a refund is the better option or if we should hold on to our shares tremendous job so far! I think the realistic estimate is "beginning of May" from what I've heard. That would seem like a reasonable estimate if tapeout happens soonish, from what I understand. Not that I know that much about hardware development. ;-) Anyway, I'm sticking in with my 6 shares. #yolo ;-) The BA thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=439722.0 indicates batch 1 orders will go at same time as batch 2 which is 1st of May. They have also offered 25% of minion chip hash power hosted for four months as compensation. With other mining pre-orders being sold out/closed now, it's left me in a dilemma on refunds, as there really is nowhere left to re-invest any refund that makes sense as a BTC mining investment, with possible exception of Antminer S1's. So I think i'm going to hold. I must confess I am both pleased and confused with bobsag3 offering a refund. As a reseller, I would of thought it's in your interests to open up the shares of whoever wants a refund to anyone that wants in. Surely the way you are doing it is killing your order book and therefore profits, so I have to ask why??? Well, one explanation could be that the BTC rate is low right now compared to late november early december, therefor if the BTC was converted into fiat back then, then will it not hurt that much to refund. Even though we all love bitcoins, operating expenses are still paid in fiat, therefor is a instant conversion to fiat are the most safe thing to do. (I am just speculating)

Now the question would be, will the bitcoin price reach $10,000 one day? A lot of people think so here: http://d.pr/tzlIThis guy bets 57 BTC on it :O 30-11-13 20:40 Yes 99`886 57.00000000 13Pko / 1K4Fs

I think it is a great initiative runam0k, one thing bitcoin need to solve on the med-long basis is to get away from being the "wild wild west", legal security is definitely needed. Let me know if there is anything I can contribute with, my experience is mainly in mining hardware (both scrypt and SHA-256 development).

People finally realizing deflationary currencies aren't currency? They're collectibles.
Absolutely, I am not sure that Santoshi meant it to be so, but that is what cryptocurrency has become for the majority of the users. (Personaly I don't like the CAP, or at least it should be much smaller)

Sorry, I still don't understand...
If the reward is having at the 50% mark, and there is no cap, then what 50% is it of?
The reward will half at block number 100000 (We are currently at block 87430) Elaboration: At block number 100000, is aprox. 50 bil Doge mined. 100000 blocks * average of 500000 Doge per reward = 50 bil Doge. Which is 50% of the original cap at 100 bil doge.

I would like a refund of r17 if this is at all possible. I don't like my chances with BA. Anyone who agrees please add your voice. I have 16 shares.
I would also like to have a refund for r17 (this can be considered as a official request). However I do not think that DZ is able to do so, since I believe that DZ has already paid BA. I have already signed of r17 as a loss, so any return is a plus for me. At this point I would be happy just to get a partial refund. I have also lost my believes in BA - Delivery in May 2014 is far from certain.

Such a bad decision in my opinion. I would not be surprised if the prize for DOGE will go down when people realize this

Maaaaan. Just caught up with this. So disapointed its not even funny.
This seemed to be going so well.
The DZ website still says that even thought it would be difficult they will issue refunds.
Bobsag3, DZ , Thomas_s please consider this a request to refund my 7 shares.
Sorry mate, don't think that is going to happen I am in for 12 shares myself... thanks for staying on top of it guys.
any chance of selling our shares back if something isnt worked out soon?
You are more than welcome to sell your shares to someone else and have them transferred (after the spreadsheet maintenance is done) however the DZMC doesn't have a cash / BTC reserve to buy back / refund as soon as an order is placed it is paid for.

poor doge Don't worry too much. The impact of scrypt ASIC will be much much less on DOGE, than the SHA-256 ASIC had on Bitcoin. GPU's will still be a good choice to mine scrypt. The only real advantage of the scrypt ASIC with current chip technology available will be power reduction. For many scrypt miners is electricity less than ~5% of the revenue.

Again I do apologize, if we were able to close and refund the round we would but unless BA refunds which they've said they won't at this time, so we can't. The link you gave is for the new platform, I have logs of all sales with the new platform and R17 was never sold.
You can continue to try and request a refund but we don't have any funds to refund, the company we purchased the machines from is going to meet with BA to see what can be done.
I would love to have a refund as well, since the chance just to break even do not look good. But I am also reasonable; yes DZ is a big business now - but in its essence r17 is still a group buy with many risks involved. I knew the risk and I will face the consequences and take my loss. The shares are not completely worthless if the X3 turn out to be a reliable miner that can generate a steady income (imo), so there is still chance to recover some of the loss. I do not blame thomas_s, bobsag3 and DyslexicZombei for this situation. I have full trust that DZ coop will do their part in getting the best out of the situation. Bobsag3; put on your best business-face and get a good deal for us

I have 12 x r17 shares for sale (all batch 1).
Each share is sold for 0.1544 BTC.
PM if you are interested.
Please note that BA has announced that X3 delivery is delayed!
On hold: its only fair to all parts to wait and see what deal DZ is making with BA.

WRONG. Reindexing is not redownloading.
Your are right, I read the instructions wrong, I have corrected my post. Cheers

|
|
My wallet seems to be stuck in 4 weeks behind while reindexing. Is there anything i can do besides redownloading the whole blockchaing?
EDIT:The instructions said that the whole blockchain has to be re-downloaded with ver. 1.5 due to the new indexing.
