thanks, it looks like i lost a day already.

Situation clarified I sent you an e-mail.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the extra effort you offered to help me with finding out what happened to my order even though I didn't order through your site, but through Bitmain's main webpage.

That was very nice and much appreciated.

Thank you!

2626  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAW Miners - promo $20 off every single miner! Code: 5MORE on: March 29, 2014, 06:45:35 PM
Ok, here is my experience with GAW. I ordered 2 units from them a little over a week ago to check them out, as I am not brave (or foolish?) enough to trust a new company with 1000’s of dollars on my first encounter with them. The order process was pretty straight-forward and I received a tracking update the same-day. However, it turned out that there were a few snafus when it came to shipping, so the order did not actually ship out until later in the week.

My main concern at the time was with the high $20 per unit shipping charge and the stated overnight delivery, but I have since seen they have since cut-back on the rhetoric of their overnight shipping promise and now offer free shipping along with claiming a more realistic 5-day window. I did receive my order with-in 5-days, so in the end I am happy with that aspect. Also Josh called me up and we were able to work out the disagreement with the shipping charges to my satisfaction.

In the end I did receive my units in good working order and I do think Josh and the rest of the people at GAW really are there for the customer. I can understand them trying to be a bit aggressive in their promotions, as it is hard to break into the scene as a newcomer, but I do believe they sincerely listen to the concerns of their customers and implement changes accordingly.

The few bumps I did encounter with my order are relatively insignificant, and even with these Josh made it right. I received what I paid for in a timely manner and with excellent support after the sale. This in my opinion is worth a lot more than the few dollar discount I might get by sending my money to someplace in China and never hear a peep until (or if) my order arrives. I will definitely be ordering from GAW again and I am confident in receiving the same excellent service.

Yea Gaw is definitely on the ball!

I have said so from the get go. I'm happy to see the positive response from other customers as well.

Keep up the good work guys!

I’m a very new poster here but I’ve been GPU mining for a while. I’ve been hesitant to take the plunge with ASIC hardware because none of the resellers I’ve seen floating around felt legit. I decided to take a chance with these guys and I’ve been super pleased with the way they’ve handled everything.

Even though they are just starting up and seem to be flooded with business/orders (good problems to have), they’ve taken care of all my issues quickly. I received my 10x kit today.  I had some questions re: the power unit so I called in and got someone on the phone immediately. Due to a misunderstanding, I managed to fry a component. After a few minutes on the phone they offered to send me a replacement at no charge. This is the type of service that makes a small new vendor stand out in a crowd.

I can’t recommend them enough…..again, I know I’m new and I’m sure some people will be skeptical about taking advice from someone they don’t’ know…but try ordering from them and I’m sure you’ll be pleased/impressed as well.

If anyone has any questions about my experience, feel free to drop me a PM here, email me via my address in my profile, or reply here.

Shilling.

Shilling?...really?, I guess you didn't read the other thousand posts of positive feedback for GAW as a new company on the scene....oh wait am I shilling too? heaven forbid!

Instead of accusing people for giving positive feedback, why don't you see for yourself and then YOU can be called for shilling as a dedicated customer from an awesome company.

You can accuse anyone with a one word response of Shilling, but hey, if they are doing what they say and people are extremely happy with them...why are you so skeptical? do you have a side business in china as a competitor somewhere?

You can always call China at 3am and hope some guy in his basement understands your order.

Just my 2BTC Smiley - sorry if I like people who deliver on their promises...I am a fan.

I'd like to add my compliments here. I ordered a single miner and in spite of a Coinbase issue, the miner arrived the next day and is working great. Their customer support email system is state of the art and their communication is excellent. If this is how they operate when they are slammed with new orders, I have no doubt this company will end up being one of the few who are long-lasting in this new industry.

I couldn't agree with that statement more.

There are too many of us who have been taken advantage of by greedy sellers just looking out to make profits and have no intention on providing any kind of support for their Paying customers, or have any system in place even close to what GAW has going on.

Don't even get me started on the whole pre-order scam thing either.

I wouldn't even consider going with anyone else at this point for future purchases, solely based on the last few days they have been online and supporting customers while they were "slammed" with orders.

I am extremely happy with my purchase from GAW and the support I have received.

Thanks again GAW for being the "real deal"!

Hello!

I have a question for the community, I would like your feedback. We are toying around with an idea and want to see what you think.

What if we increased our 10 pack pricing by $200. The trade off would be that we would then offer free priority shipping........and.......we would also host the miner for free, and as long as you want! You would never pay for hosting, bandwidth, and electric.

If you ever want to take it out of our hosting, we would just ship it to you free.

Also, you could sell your miner to another. You would be able to change the ownership of the account. Once the new owner takes over, he would get the same free hosting (increases your resale value), and he can also have the unit shipped to him when he is ready.

What do you guys think? Would this be something that would be kind of neat? Or a game changer?

Naturally if we did this, we would offer it for all our future products too.

Well, I'm not sure if I can say anything better about this company, with it's forward thinking, and positive business models, but I'm sure I will find something good to say anyway Smiley

Seriously,
Who else has ever even offered an option for something like this in the history of this forum, or any seller or reseller? none that I have seen, please correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems to me that most of the people I have dealt with selling gear on here are straight out looking out to make profit as their number one goal, at the sacrifice of good support, communication and reliability.

All I can say (for now) is that GAW is on the ball, with super fast communications via email replies and phone calls, and will no doubt in my opinion be the leader in the industry from this day forward for their excellent customer service, offering positive solutions to any issues users may have had with their miners, always going above and beyond.

I guess you would expect that from a 'Real' established business, unlike the fly by night one man operations who I have had the displeasure of dealing with.

Spring has sprung, and it looks like there is a new seed to contend with Smiley

Thanks again for your hard work and dedication to this community!
2631  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: UnicornHasher ANT Miner S1 Devices and Hosting [OPEN] on: March 20, 2014, 02:25:55 PM

We mutually agreed on terms to end the hosting early as it made no sense at that point since you were asking for an additional .4BTC for another months hosting on top of the 1BTC I paid upfront, and the .6+ BTC I paid you at the end to have the Antminer shipped to me covering all costs, since ants were selling brand new for about 1BTC, so basically I paid you over 1.6BTC to host an antminer for 1 month and then have it shipped it to me.

THESE ARE MENTIONED IN THE FRONTPAGE:

1BTC paid upfront gets the ANT miner shipped plus 30 days of hosting.
*If you make over 1BTC in the first 30 days of mining you may simply cancel the contract and keep your earnings.  You owe nothing.

Prior to the 31st day of mining: 0.6BTC is due to continue the contract for days 30-60
*Again if you have profited or some crazy company comes along and jumps the diff by a few hundred percent you can just cancel and keep your earnings.
*We eat the loss and deal with the device. (Office space style)

Prior to the 61st day of mining: 0.4BTC is due to continue the contract for days 60-90 and be eligible for an upgrade credit or refund from the device sale.
*After this you own the ANT miner.  You can sell it to a US buyer or let us sell it or lease out the hashpower.

The total cost for the device + hosting is estimated to be 1.5BTC After reselling the device for .5BTC in 90 days.
_______________

FAQ
Q: Is there a discount for Paying in full up front?
A: Yes, you can pay 1.45BTC + 0.45BTC up front for the full 90 day contract including the refund at the end of the term (25% Hosting Discount)

==========================================================

If you read carefully, the terms really do mean that if you want to take the miner, you have to pay .4BTC, not unless you paid the whole upfront with discount at 1.9BTC, then you can cancel and keep the miner or sell it... The prices of the S1's dropped, its not our fault the prices went down, but they have to price it accordingly because thats how much we bought it.

You're lucky if you were the first ones, you got more time to mine than my first ant which came 3 weeks after the first batch.

Sorry dude

Thanks for clearing that up for me..I was wondering where that original information was. It's nice that you took the time to point out that for me..thank you.

Do you really think that I am/was not aware of the terms and agreements I signed up for?

As far as being "lucky" for being one of the "first ones" There was no luck involved at all. It was a calculated decision and a choice to take a chance and risk with a new hosting vendor, which seemed like a decent deal at the time.

Regardless of how long in advance I had my miner before you had yours..the facts remain that i paid 1.6+BTC for 1 months worth of hosting, and had personal conversations with the OP which unless he shared them with you, you have no idea on what we mutually agreed upon when it came to termination of our agreement.

I paid in February for the beginning of the hosting period, and it ended in March which was 1 month of hosting provided give or take a few days. So when you mentioned in your quote from the original post: "Prior to the 31st day of mining: 0.6BTC is due to continue the contract for days 30-60"  I didn't get a second month of hosting actually, but rather the .6+ BTC was a payoff to end the lease early and send me my miner which I was OK with, and something the OP and I discussed amongst ourselves along other things which you have no idea about which we agreed to.

So to set the record straight, there are no hard feelings towards the OP from me at least. There was a valid and paid transaction which took place, and agreements made to end the hosting early.

So please don't jump in with quoting original information from the post which has absolutely nothing to do with our private conversations and situation the OP decided to make public, all that does is stir up trouble and cause arguments which are unnecessary. In other words Mind Your Own Business.

I simply asked for something for the day I lost mining due to a shipment I Paid for not arriving on its scheduled due date...that's all...nothing more. I didn't request a refund , extra DAYS of hosting etc. and to be honest I'm OK with a "sorry we cant do it" answer.

All I know is that I have been dealing with GAW miners recently and they are the type of professional company which goes above and beyond what seems to be the norm on these forums when it comes to resellers or small operations such as this one hosting a few pieces of gear. They are responsive and go out of their way to do anything they possibly can for the customer, and would never publicly bash them for something as trivial as this.

I guess I'll just stick with the pro's and the winners from now on...hey, you live and learn.

Good luck!

Prior to buckrogers leaving bad feedback here:

He asked to have his lease terminated and ask for a buyout vs paying through the end of the term.

I worked with him to provide a buyout price per the terms of the lease.  I hosted free over a weekend after the lease ended.  I then shipped the miner to him via USPS priority mail with tracking and no signature.

Buck is now asking for more than a non-existent buyout option & a few days of free hosting.

Pm's to follow if needed.

Most of the people I work with know that I give a lot of extras and am easy to work with.  This situation was no different.

EDIT: My loss was:  0.4BTC loss for hosting + time to remove and package the device + one weekend of free hosting.

I'm not sure what you mean try to scam you...and post negative feedback...I did nothing of the sorts...

What are you referring to?

I paid you for a service you provided and was one of your first customers. I never scammed anyone ever. I actually took a chance with you on your hosting deal as sign of good faith.

You got paid, I received a service, an honest deal where along the way I came up with suggestions for you to improve your sales and give customers information they may want to know. You even mentioned where I can quote from a PM that "I owe you some sort of discount for all the good advice...etc"

I was simply asking as we have done legitimate business together and that you valued my input and opinions and praised me along the way that if you could possibly compensate me for the day I lost mining by maybe setting up a 24 hour miner or something, I never asked for "extra free DAYS of hosting" since the package I paid for 2 day priority shipping did not arrive,  and I don't have the miner to use until it arrives. no biggie...really! forget I asked.

So weird that you would post something like that trying to make me look bad when I am not anything like the person you described in that post and for something I didn't do at all... I don't and didn't post negative feedback for you and never would for someone saying no to a simple request..actually I don't think I've ever posted any negative feedback that I can recall, actually only positive feedback for people I've dealt with and who deserve it. It seems like you were nervous that I would, and blasted me....that's really too bad...I'm disappointed actually with your attack.

I have always been honest and upfront with any of my dealings with people on this site, and if you are the type of person that needs to attack a recent paying customer for a simple request then good luck with your business model man...jeez.

Please accept my apologies for asking a non threatening simple request...you should probably take after the GAW miner guys who are very professional and go out of their way for their customers and not try to bash them at the end of a deal...which I paid you good money for by the way.

good luck man.

I agree, these guys are top notch.

I've never dealt with a more professional staff before...give them a break!

They just started opening the doors yesterday, and see how much they have done in under 2 days so far.

I've yet to see any other seller here come even close to that kind of responsiveness and service.

Thank You!!

From the first post:

Quote
In other words, we are not a fly-by-night start-up or some guy working out of his garage and hoping to become successful. We are a real company, servicing thousands of customers with a full staff to support our clients. We accept all major credit cards, like real companies do, and offer 24 hour support. Enough about us, let’s talk about your needs:

We accept all major credit cards, paypal, and bitcoins - We process orders for tens of thousands of customers, so we know that having payment flexibility is critically important. (3% additional fee for paypal and credit cards)

Words like "In Stock" and "Overnight Shipping" from a company that claims to be different, up-front and serves tens of thousand's of customers I do not think needs to be given a break. I am just pointing out that there is some misleading wording going on, as in shipping from their China warehouse (not what I normally think of as being in-stock) and the premium shipping of $20 per unit is not for people expecting "economy" (3-5 day) service.

I guess you feel that a 3am Skype call to china to "try" and speak with someone over there in a 1 man operation is better than dealing local with someone in the US with 24x7 support with a team of experienced employees?  good luck with that Smiley I've been on those 3am calls , and half the time they could give 2 sh**s about you or when they promise to deliver.  But hey, china inst going anywhere if you're not happy Smiley
2634  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (In Stock) Gridseed USB miners - $189.95 Plus Free Hosting and Electricity! on: March 19, 2014, 05:39:19 PM
how much stock do you have now?

Hi!

We sold through all our USA inventory, and have moved to our overseas warehouse. We have a 1-2 day turn around time on our orders form overseas and they are also sent overnight express.

In other words, regardless of where we ship from, they arrive about the same time to your door. One of the things thats make us unique is the ability to pull inventory from multiple warehouses with a 24 hour turn around time. Thats why we can guarantee it will be at your door in less then 5 business days or we pay you for your lost mining time.

We sold about 300-400 pieces yesterday. Even at an increased rate, we still have plenty of inventory Smiley

Wait, so which is it is it overnight delivery or 5-day delivery? I paid $40 for two units shipping thinking it was overnight, meaning I will receive my units tomorrow.

Hi,

We just wanted to clear up some concerns about the shipping. We aim to ship the same or the next business day.

Many companies take weeks to prepare shipments, then they overnight the unit. We take 24-48 hours to prepare, then you have the unit the next day. Given the surge in orders we have received, we are still getting orders out the same or next day.

As we continue to staff up, we will be able to get orders out the same day, however, this will take a little bit of time. There are no (or few) mining hardware competitors that ship same day.

The overnight shipping is to ensure it gets to you in under the five day window we promise. Again, we are working to reduce this cost, and will credit all existing orders if/when we do.

As you consider the numbers, please consider the numbers as a whole. We take credit cards and PayPal; almost no competitor in this space does. That's an additional cost we are absorbing. We also offer 24/7 technical support that almost no competitor in this space does. In addition, we still strive to get your miner out the same day, if not, the next.  And, our pricing is still less than most reputable competitors.

Thank you for your support, we are working hard to continue to reduce cost.

Thanks for the response but I will point out that Zoomhash, which I have ordered from a few times already ships out the same day from California. They charge $19.99 for overnight shipping for 2 units and scale up at a small amount for each additional unit. I had 4 units recently overnighted for ~$36, and when I say overnighted I mean I ordered Wednesday and I had the miners in my hand mining coins on Thursday. I have also ordered units using their standard shipping which cost $5 for two units and have had the miners within 3 days. Using either option, I have had tracking numbers in my email the same evening as I placed the order.

Not trying to beat you up, as your prices are pretty reasonable, but do not say that there are no competitors offering same day shipping when in fact there is at least one I have ordered from, and others who list it. Most people, at least in the US, when they see and pay for overnight shipping expect it to be literally overnight, or at least the next business day in case of weekends. Hiding behind the "we process within 24-48 hours but then use a overnight shipping" is a bit misleading IMO.

I know if New Egg, Amazon, etc. ran their business like this they would have plenty of pissed off customers. Who wants to pay a premium shipping charge to have to wait 3-4 days to get the product in-hand?

you call that "scale up at a small amount for each additional unit." when they are literally $30-$50 more per unit....I think your math is off...or you dont care about paying more for the unit, and have it next day...if thats the case ..I'm sure the GAW guys can mark up the unit for you and send it to you overnight. so for the people that just want to buy 1 or 2 miners to start with, can we use are own usb hubs?, it dosent have to be the one in the 10x miner package?
Yeah, that should be fine. Just plug it right into one of your USB ports on your computer, and you should be good to go. The purpose of a powered USB hub is to both add more ports to the connected computer, and power the units connected to the hub.

For example:
The USB Block Erupters from ASICMiner are powered via USB. They don't have an alternative DC power source like the Gridseed does. Daisy chaining multiple unpowered USB hubs will add more USB ports to your computer, but your computer can still only supply a low amount of power for all the ports on the USB hub. Powered USB hubs fix this issue. (i.e. Plugging in multiple, and daisy chainning, surge protectors and extension cords to one outlet in your house doesn't supply more power. It only allows more things to be plugged in. Everything would still be running from the one circuit breaker on your house's electrical box.)

Gridseed uses USB for the purpose of data between the unit and computer, and gets it's power from an adapter/PSU. ASICMiner Block Erupters use USB for both the data and the power (in the similar manner you'd sync and charge an iPod at the same time).

Hope that clears it up some.

That was a nice explanation man!
Good stuff Smiley

Hi,

I spoke directly with the CEO of the company earlier, and he sounded like a straight shooter, honest businessman.

I just placed my first order with them for a hosted 10 pack a few moments ago, and will report back on how they are doing.

The ordering process was simple and painless.

So far so good.

Thanks!!

edit: Units are up and running and hashing away...will get an accurate total hashrate after a few hours as they fluctuate on the servers in the beginning.

Pretty quick from online order to start of hosting..so far i'm impressed. - Keep up the good work!
