Are there still really decentralized networks in DeFi? In my opinion, this is already more fiction than truth. In most protocols, the main supply of tokens is owned by a few addresses who can control the protocol, or manipulate the prices. Anything PoS is no longer decentralized. In addition, PoS is very prone to all kinds of attacks and exploits, which happen almost every day.
I think the only truly decentralized "De-Fi" network is Ethereum Classic as it's the only smart contracts platform that uses good-old PoW. The rest are just centralized shitcoins with PoS as their consensus layer. It's a pity to see many "De-Fi" platforms sacrificing their decentralization just to obtain performance and cost-efficiency. They've decided to please the government by doing the switch to PoS without considering the long-term risks of doing so. With a single point of failure, we should expect more losses in the long run. I'd only trust "De-Fi" platforms that are truly decentralized and have been tried and tested by the developers. As I've said before, ETC is a good option. It's just that dApps are virtually non-existent on it. Maybe someday developers will have a look at it? Just my thoughts  I think that the work of smart contracts does not depend on the algorithm of the coin. If hackers find vulnerabilities in the smart contract, then you will also lose your investment. The average user will not get their money back in most cases, so I always say the benefit of earning 10-15% per year does not cover the risk of losing 100% of the investment. |

Неудивительно, что Кучерявого не выпустили, ведь он предложил всего лишь 250k баксов в качестве залога. Все-таки это слишком уж маленькая сумма, учитывая коллапс FTX. В этом плане ему явно не следовало жадничать и нужно было предложить как минимум несколько десятков млн долларов. Для сравнения, в прошлом году экс-CEO Bitmex отпустили под залог в 10 млн. баксов. Кучерявый уже в тюрьме США. Его быстро этапировали, чтобы не дать наговорить лишнего. Общается он только с адвокатом и прокурором. Идеи кроме срубить бабла у него нет, сдаст он всю цепочку и людей, которым отправлял крупные суммы. Интересно что с этой информацией будут делать дальше. Не знаю, был ли он в итоге в тюрьме или сразу после прибытия в родительский дом поехал чай с вареньем пить, но клубок раскручивается там серьёзный... Одно только то, что есть выписка из журнала посещений белого дома, где Сэмуэль был несколько раз, говорит о многом... Yeah, it's better to have most funds in a hardware wallet and that is because when someone accessed it without authorization, they're hardly get it because there's an authentication that shall go through with the device itself (hardware wallet) and without such access to the HW, they're unlikely to touch the funds that are kept there. OP is just explaining that everyone can add as much as addresses as they can even in other networks under one seed phrase provided by Metamask. For the most popular wallets in the world, most of the exploits are developed by hackers. If you store money on software wallets, you will still lose it as a result of inattention. A $70 hardware wallet protects against such threats. But if the user is inexperienced and uses unknown smart contracts, then even a hardware wallet will not help him. |
