2641  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday 🔥 🔥 theymos 🔥 🔥 on: June 15, 2018, 12:59:13 PM
What? Theymos is only 27?! That's not what I'm expected. For me he is too young and smart to become an administrator here in the forum that's why I thought he was in the mid thirties. Grin

Anyway, Happy birthday to you theymos. Thank you for being a good leader, long live and wishing you all the best Smiley.
2642  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Which Uses More Energy? on: June 15, 2018, 08:12:59 AM
Does Bitcoin consume to much energy? that's the question that keeps popping up every time BTC prices go lunar.

Is Bitcoin really an energy hog? how does it compare to the traditional financial system.
Your question is not specific. What do you really mean by "consuming energy", electrical energy or in a sense of efforts on transacting? If what you meant is the latter part (nasagot na kasi ng iba about sa electrical consumption eh) then definitely mas convenient gamitin ang btc as a form of payment because its fast and reliable, all you just need is internet connection and you are ready to go Smiley. In my experience, I can buy a load without even going outside, you can also use it for paying different kinds of bills.

(But kung wala kang internet and pc/smartphone which is a basic requirement to access crypto then mataas ang chance na taliwas ka sa opinion ko)
2643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Markets and ambitions on: June 15, 2018, 04:56:35 AM
I have waited too long. WHICH bitcoin still can not pump strongly.
One comment: Bitcoin may reach $ 9,000 and $ 5,300 this month.
Hmm so the technical analysis you saw tells us that btc will reach $9k if it pumps and $5.3k if it drops, honestly I don't think it will not happen because +3k within half a month was so ideal for me knowing the fact that btc is not in a good condition these days (it has no momentum of soaring high). On the other hand, I don't think it will have -900 also maybe it will just reach $6.2k by the end of the month if the situation gets even worse. (Just my own opinion)
2644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy tether when the market is crashing? on: June 15, 2018, 02:50:53 AM
I’m on the newer side to crypto, just want to say that first.

Tether always stays between .99 and 1.01. How, I don’t know. With it never really changing in price, why not convert your cryptos to tether to avoid losses when the market is crashing?

I thought I'm the only one noticing this thing. On the past few days that btc is dropping down, tether remains green which I (maybe you also) expected to be not because it's now normal to the market that altcoin drops too as btc drops. Another strange thing that I observed is that when I looked on the top 100 coins in the market (sorry I forgot the time and date) why tether is the only coin that goes up; I swear, even me don't believe what am I looking at but it's true.

It seems Tether is a good coin for long term investors, what do you think Huh.
2645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This dip is great! on: June 14, 2018, 02:50:26 AM
Yeah! I agree with you. Almost all of the coins in the market are dropping down, this is definitely a bad sign for all of us yet we don't have any choice but to adapt.

Just a friendly advice for everyone, you should first ask yourself if you can really withstand further dips because this means that you may lose some money also. If you can't then dump it now instead of experiencing further stress and frustrations. For those hodling (like me), may the odds be with us Smiley.
2646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Drops Below $6,500 on: June 14, 2018, 12:59:24 AM
Its ok Bitcoin always goes back up.  Crypto is the future and it is here to stay!
I really do believe in btc but I can't control myself not to worry a little bit due to this dip (I think that's normal) because as we can see the situation is getting worse as time goes by. This bearish days are very stressful for me, I get frustrated everytime I see the graph and my savings dropping down . Nevertheless, I still want to hold my coins not only because it is the best option for now but also because I believe that it will survive.
2647  Other / Meta / Re: How to Become Signature Master in 12 Hours. I did it, so can you. on: June 13, 2018, 01:01:45 PM
Initially, I was fascinated with all this Signature Design and I did try to learn it and read ROSLINPL tutorials. But I guess, its not for everyone so I totally give up, because I believed that to be an expert, you need to spend countless hours. But seeing your tips and tricks and can be a master is 12 hours is really amazing. I think if someone really wanted to be a signature designer, everyone should read your thread. Thank your for sharing.
yeah agree to this, let the works of signature design for certain people, we as a signature user just wear it.
Actually this is an additional knowledge for us and maybe we can apply this skill for future use, who knows? But it's your own opinion so I respect it if you don't care too much about this stuff Smiley.
But i'm curious did all the signature on this forum is designated by their manager/project itself, or they pay someone to do the works?
I don't think so, as far as I know not all campaign managers don't know how to create a signature for their clients. Probably a particular ICO already have a signature before passing it into the campaign manager or they buy from people who provides this kind of service (like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2363907.0), I'm not so sure anyway.

@OP ~ I really want to learn this so thanks for a short and yet informative tutorial, I'll definitely use this as my reference to my study. i hope next time you will include tutorials abaout creating moving logos on the signature or changing of colors when pointed by the cursor or a signature that will direct to the website if clicked. Great job! Smiley
2648  Local / Pilipinas / Re: The Last Bitcoin on: June 13, 2018, 06:33:43 AM
They are somehow right. Maaring tumaas pa lalo ang presyo ni btc if mameet nya na yung market cap nya. A simple Supply and Demand can explain that; since nameet na ni btc total supply nya, natural mas tataas ang price nito dahil sa high demand. Let's make it simple, mas mahal ang bottle of water sa disyerto compare to a place where there's a river assuming potable ito (get it? Grin).

On the other side, maaring iba din ang mangyari. That time may tendency na maungusan si btc ng iba pang coins (probably eth because it is in the 2nd spot) at dahil doon eh baka mawalan ng interes ang tao sa dito kasi di na sya 1st and switch into that new coin who will sit in the throne.
2649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What made you Invest into Crypto Currency on: June 13, 2018, 05:23:15 AM
I invested in the crypto currency for making money, but now I'm guessing that this is all much more than just an investment.
Yeah, Me too. At first, my purpose of investing into crypto is just purely because of money. I want to harness its fluctuations to create profits nothing more nothing less. But as time goes by, I realized that what I'm doing is actually fun and meaningful at the same time. At a slow phase I learned how to enjoy everything here in crypto world; being here in the forum with all the knowledge I gained here, I get hyped now when there's happening in the market which may be favorable on me and I get inspired when there is always a good news or any advancements of crypto. To sum up, crypto change my life (in a good way of course) and it is now part of me Smiley.
2650  Economy / Economics / Re: What i believe will come on: June 13, 2018, 04:02:11 AM
I wonder when is that "Future" you are pertaining about Huh. Because if your perspective is only for the next couple of years or even decades then your presumptions has a big chance that will not yet happen. Many things hinder this in becoming a reality like technology gap between nations, opposition parties against blockchain technology and of course poverty. Therefore, for me this set up was ideal but yet saying "impossible" is still inappropriate.
2651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Need money... on: June 13, 2018, 02:17:07 AM
No one knows if the market will recover sooner or later so if your patience will just now last for 15 days then go ahead if that is what you can afford ~ wait for 15 days. But remember, don't expect too much; you should still keep in mind the tendency that you might lose more within that period of time so brace yourself. Are you still willing to risk what's left in you? Your choice.
2652  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: One of the Largest Banks in the Philippines is Implementing Ethereum. on: June 13, 2018, 12:57:04 AM
Remittance-Focused Industry
The Philippines has a unique financial infrastructure, and the banks are aware that only the upper class and high net-worth individuals can afford banking services. The vast majority of individuals and even businesses rely on local remittance networks and outlets such as M Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan, and LBO to send and receive payments both domestically and internationally.

Remittance outlets are often more readily accessible in rural areas and provinces, especially in areas that are not profitable for banks to establish offices and run all-inclusive operations. In major cities like Cebu, remittance outlets are seen in every corner of every street, sometimes 10 meters apart from each other.

Therefore, mas lamang talaga ang remittance centers compare to banks in terms of convenience.
2653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people afraid to invest in cryptocurrency? on: June 12, 2018, 10:26:24 AM
Some times I usually think of the reason people are afraid of investing in cryptocurrency, despite the its value and durability,
Durability? If you mean the ability to stay grow in the market then not all cryptocurrency has a durability particularly to those who belong on the bottom part of the list having only small holders. So if you are going to choose a coin then much better if you'll choose among the top 10.
cryptocurrency is a standards investment that will always give the investor the chance of becoming a millionaire due to its appreciative nature
Of course, crypto always gives a chance to make you a millionaire but just to be clear, it is only a chance.  Meaning, there is no 100% assurance that it will be favoravle on your side, you should also consider that you may face bankruptcy assuming the worst case scenario.
2654  Economy / Speculation / Re: 800 Days Left before BTC Raise Agai on: June 12, 2018, 07:06:58 AM
What, more than 2 years at least?! This speculation is so insane.

There's really a chance for btc to pump up by that time but saying that nothing good will happen within that period of time then I do not believe in you. I mean, the probability that only bearish trend will exist within that time is so small because the lines on the market chart are naturally fluctuating from time to time so it seems impossible that it will wait very long time just to soar high.
2655  Other / Meta / Re: The Newbie/spammers problem. Solution anyone? on: June 12, 2018, 01:42:30 AM

What if every account registrations here requires basic personal information like real name, age, birthday with verification system like presenting a government issued ID. I know this sounds risky because you leak datas about yourself but this is the only thing I know to avoid having so many accounts with the same user. What do you think?

No, no and NO. The crypto world was born under the idealism of anonymity. This is a Bitcoin forum, even its creators bet for anonymity since the very beginning. Now, by having the real names and the ID from users only puts the forum into danger.
How many attacks the forum has? Uncountables!!! Also, with all the persecution towards the crypto users coming from the government, if they ask for government ID, it can become a hacker's feast. Besides, for sure, most of the most important users in here will abandon the forum forever if such kind of request is introduced (which is not going to happen, anyway).

This is the most unthoughtful reply I've ever read.
I'm so sorry sir, I already think of that to be honest. I just came to that idea maybe because I'm frustrated on finding solutions for what's happening right now. Maybe I'm just panicking since merit system is although working but seems not strong enough (just my opinion) because shitposters/spammers can still be able to their stuffs and only permabanned from the mods can stop them. Don't get me wrong, I'm just considering the sake of our mods because I'm sure they get tired of banning those bad posters. Once again, I'm sorry.
2656  Other / Meta / Re: The Newbie/spammers problem. Solution anyone? on: June 11, 2018, 12:49:56 PM
Making sure each person has only 1 account would reduce spam for sure, but how would you enforce it? Confirmation links would be an improvement but you can make a new mailbox almost instantly. A phone maybe? But what about those who have a couple numbers? I think it can't be done.
That's what I am thinking right now. If 1 account = 1 person system is the most feasible way to eradicate spamming and shittyposting then I agree with you that it is very hard to implement. Making fake accounts or even identities is now easy with the kind of technology we had right now that's why making a gateway in making alt accounts here is not impossible anymore. Another, IMO bitcointalk is not too strict when it comes to new member applications, I mean even though there is a rule stating that creating an alt account is wrong, it still remains a word — don't have enough power to enforce what being said. That's why the "suspect" (creator of alt account) still don't care and comfortable to insist doing such act because nothing bad will happen on him (he will not be punished or able to be blacklisted here personally).

What if every account registrations here requires basic personal information like real name, age, birthday with verification system like presenting a government issued ID. I know this sounds risky because you leak datas about yourself but this is the only thing I know to avoid having so many accounts with the same user. What do you think?
2657  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does signature campaign really help to promote an ICO ? on: June 11, 2018, 05:24:22 AM
Honestly, I once don't believe by the first time I heard about signature campaign - where all you need to do is to keep posting here inside while having the ICO's logo. Seems not really helpful right? But it's NOT. This forum only seems not effective for advertising compare to TV & radio commercials, billboards or printed ads but in reality this is better than the others because of its huge population coming from different countries around the globe. We are now 2183431 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats) here in the forum and keep growing, imagine what would be the impact if all of those users see that ICO advertised through signature campaigns Grin.

Some of the ICOs that run a camapign here and became successful (just my opinion) are Electroneum and Enigma.
2658  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin again 6k$..... on: June 11, 2018, 02:42:13 AM
It's not $6k, it's $6838.2 to be exact Grin (at this moment). $800+ is still a long way to run but if ever btc reach $6k then that would be bad for hodlers but a good news for new investors. I hope we will not reach that point because it's very tiring to see the market red and and can't even reached the half of its ATH. It's already June yet we still don't see huge improvements, I don't know how long these bearish days will last Sad.
2659  Other / Meta / Re: Please Lift ban on: June 10, 2018, 02:08:46 PM
I didn't even understand what you are posting, all bounty reports. You couldn't even contribute to discussion as needed on the forum. Is unfortunate, learn to do some social services and don't just be a milking cow.
I agree with you dude. I take a look on his history posts and it's so annoying that I scrolled down so many times first before reaching the bottom of the page (on page no. 2 to be specific) another thing is I saw nothing but bounty updates which makes me disappointed.

@OP - your post history stands as an evidence to prove you guilty for what rule you broke that's why it seems that it's now really impossible for you to have your account again. I feel sorry for you but you don't have any choice — make a brand new start.

If he plans on doing the same thing again (which he probable will), than I would not recommend making brand new account. This forum doesn't need members like that.
You should not encourage him in making new account. Because they are the problem which needs to be rooted out, and not invited to do the same things over and over again.
Only if Smiley. Actually I get your point, you just don't want to have shitty/spammy posters here in the forum (I want the same also) but I think there's nothing wrong of giving second chances and I do believe that he already learned a lesson from this. It will be good if you will judge him based on his actions and not solely based on your intuitions.
