Anything for 1 BTC you say? How about work a few hours per day, earn 500 USD, and buy a bitcoin?
PROBLEM - SOLVED.

Yes or sell the Galaxy s4 and a few other items and buy a bitcoin

would be nice if there were other competitors, I wonder if the ones that do sig deals will they lose customer base like JD for instance.  Also how many members can the sig deals keep taking adding to there payroll everymonth? also why use them only in these forums and dont expand out.  your not helping bitcoin and the company any groth only keep sig deals only here

You are asking a lot of questions and it is hard to follow you!

where's the rest ~30k?

maybe its expected result was -25K but he finished +5K

Yes, it's something like that.  The extra 30k (or whatever - it's hard to put accurate numbers on it because he constantly switched accounts and so it was hard to know which accounts were him) is the amount nakowa should have lost but didn't.

To make a cleaner example / thought experiment:

If someone comes to the site, deposits 10k BTC, bets it over and over again, making a total of 3 million BTC wagered, and ends up breaking even, the expected profit increases by 30k BTC, but the actual profit doesn't change.  The shortfall increases by 30k.  Where is the missing 30k?  The player doesn't have it - he only deposited 10k BTC and withdrew 10k BTC.  The site doesn't have it.  It's merely a shortfall of expectation, I guess.

Or another way of looking at it:

Someone deposits 1,000,000 bitcoin. They hit max chance to win and hit play 10 times. (assume he doesn't lose 10 bets at 98.99%)

The sites expected profit is now +100,000 bitcoin but in reality the gambler walks away with 1,000 bitcoin.

The gambler comes back and plays with the 1,000 bitcoin and loses it all.

So the site profit is now 0.09% not 0.3% and is down 100,000 bitcoin. The reality is that the sites profit is exactly the same because he lost the 1,000 bitcoin, but now newcomers see the site being short over 100,000 bitcoin.

I don't think the exemple would help someone that didn't understand Grin

dooglus, would you disclose if you have a security feature that automatically send the invested money in case you are AOK for too long in case of an unfortunate event.
2646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: April 15, 2014, 07:21:16 PM
Yes you are right very useful but just few peoples can do good analysis and research and most of other creating rumors

Here's some analysis i did.

It covers the entire price of BTC from mtgox back at 5c a coin to the present day.

The non parallel log channel indicates relative volatility is decreasing, as expected in a growing market.

By march 2016 ±3months we may see:

  • less "bubbles".
  • the log rise transitioning into asymptote to saturation.
  • $40k per coin ±$20k.

Very bullish but what will make a BTC be worth 40k$ are real things happening in the real world : USD losing its value, people understanding they are brutalised by the state, people losing their faith in the financial sector

5000euros = formation privé

2649  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: April 15, 2014, 07:12:42 PM
Bought 200BTC at $18 more then a year ago, sold it for $80 thinking I made HUGE profit, classic screwup but who would know it would go to $1100
Just like for everyone else thats the tricky part. You can't predict what's gonna happen. In my opinion you still made a good deal, although not optimal at all.

If i kept every bitcoin that I had , when I had the most, I would have >1mUSD at todays prices. Sucks but yeah, I made a concious decision to hedge my risks back then.
Hah, yeah. It's a bit worse for the people who just lost them due to not caring as they weren't valuable at all, now realizing they'd be millionaires.

Well, then thing is, they never invested real money. So it is no that sad actually. Like the guy that had 10000 BTC on a harddrive that he mined 5 years ago on a laptop and then the harddrive ended up on the wasteplant. Not much investment right there, but sure it sucks to lose out on so much money Wink

Those who bought the coins didn't throw their hard drive away but most of them cashed out after +xxx%

I invested 7K$ Today. Hoping for the best.

Good luck; if you believe in Bitcoin don't leave the bitcoins on an exchange and protect well your deposit, come back when the price is x5 to sell some or not

Cool !!! Full power to the moon Huh?

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/

2653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: April 15, 2014, 01:49:37 PM
but then again - if the total expected profit is ~50k, actual profit is ~15k and knowing nakowa left with ~5k, still - where's the rest ~30k?

Nakowa contributed to a lot of the wager-volume. If you remove his bets from the equation, not only does the profit-figure change, but the total amount wagered does too. It would go down, considerably, which drops the expected profit as well.

The profit is 35k less than the expected profit but if nakowa finished at +5K he is up way more compared to the expected result of its play : maybe its expected result was -25K but he finished +5K

It seems he stopped playing after the max bet went from 1% of the bankroll to 0.25%; it is 0.5% now

I have a sense that we are gonna be stuck in 400-600 mode for a while yet

Until we are not..

We saw lower than 400 and may see almost 300 soon but I feel everything is set for a rally this summer or in autumn
