Sure man... sure...

Who lies about such silly nonsense anyway?  Why not just be honest that you liked to drink and have sex?

I don't think there is any public evidence that shows any of this is a lie. What you say is nothing more than speculation.

He is either a liar, or a complete idiot... either of which should disqualify him for the position

Even if he was honest about the FFFF referring to someone with a stutter... making fun of people with disabilities should disqualify him from being a justice on the supreme court
Based on the testimony, it sounds like the person who this was referring to was in their group of friends. I don't think it would be reasonable to describe this as "making fun of someone with a disability".

I'm not exit scamming. I've never purposely scammed anyone, and all the issues from aTriz were from me being careless.

Please explain how exactly you "accidentally" scam someone. If someone looses money because of your mistake, that is not accidentally scamming someone, it is either you reimburse whoever lost money because of you, or you are explicitly intentionally scamming someone. Period.

Didn't expected this from you Lauda. I wonder where are those people now who got me removed from default trust, ganged up on me when I came back. I have gotten arrested for something I never did but atleast I didn't had a single person who can claim I took a penny from him.
Shame on you.
It seems that group of people almost entirely have their fingerprints on DT and many of them have acted unethically at best and illegally at worst. Calls for them to be removed have been ignored.
2645  Economy / Reputation / Re: Confession - Zapo=aTriz. on: October 04, 2018, 12:15:44 PM
Just go away. The number of shenanigans you are involved in via aTriz shows you are willing to do just about anything to make a few dollars, even if that means others are harmed and/or defrauded.
2646  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: October 04, 2018, 04:52:40 AM
Looks like Bitfinex and Tether are switching banks :O I heard that there were some payout issues (the bank didn't want to pay covert USDT to USD)
I don’t really think this is news. Bitfinex and tether got a new bank account somewhere. Other exchanges seem to have followed suit (who were banking at the same bank).

Also, banks don’t pay to convert USDT to USD, they process withdrawals as directed by tether (and Bitfinex when customers are withdrawing from their Bitfinex accounts). It is tether that will payout USD in exchange for USDT, and will only do so to customers who are vetted via KYC, are exchanging above a certain threshold, and generally will not do business with those connected to the US.

ARe there actually any reference links to this because I can't find any.
Lutpin was asked about this a long time ago and said he is not going to provide any kind of proof/evidence.

The above fact should end this conversation. At least in reference to removing mexxer because he is a "scammer". One could argue mexxer should be removed because his is inactive.....I would not though.

There is another scammer Blazed should remove though.

I think your list might be incomplete. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=357263 a hero user who has not received any merit but is not on the list.

I suspect the number is far greater than what you say. If memory serves me correctly, well under 1% of all active accounts have received at least one merit as of a month or two ago.

I suspect you are referring to what you are saying in this thread I already resonated to, so I will post my response to that thread.

This seems like a fairly credible accusation.

I demand a full FBI investigation into this matter.

Until BADecker can disprove this, the administration should label all of his posts "potential state sponsored propaganda" despite the lack of evidence to corroborate this accusation.

Edit: I just voted that we should ban these people. But we should only do this as long as there is zero evidence to support these people are state sponsored trolls.  I also don’t think a ban will go far enough. We should post all their sensitive information, but also only as long as there is zero evidence to supine this in order to prevent anyone from presenting evidence.

If your young child claimed that his sibling hit him without being provoked, you would not punish his brother without gathering some evidence to support this. If an employee claims her coworker stole money from the employer, an employer would not fire said employee without verifying evidence a theft actually occurred and that the employee is responsible. If someone claims your significant other is cheating on you, then you would not end the relationship without some form of corroboration and/or admission of guilt. If you claim you are the owner of a specific bank account, a bank employee will not allow you to withdraw funds from said account without verifying this is true.

You know what helps gather evidence of these wrong doings after the allegation by the victims are asserted?

AN INVESTIGATION LOL

Finally something you have written that makes sense, so why no investigation to gather evidence in this case then!
It is too bad that Senate staffers have already investigated all of the allegations, as has the media, both of which have been unable to verify any of the underlying facts, in other words, they have found the accusations to be baseless.  Senate democrat staffers have not participated in said investigations, despite being invited to do so, because Democrats do not care about the truth.
2654  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh on: September 30, 2018, 09:26:01 PM
And yet the entire right has said Dr. Ford is lying, a dem plant to subvert Kavanaugh from his days as a bush staffer.  They don't believe her and fought tooth and nail to stop the actual truth from coming out.  The right is allowed to assert Kavanaugh is innocent but the left can't claim Kavanaugh is guilty or we broke the world LOL fucking hypocrites.
You are wrong. Kavanaugh is presumed innocent until there is evidence he is guilty. It is always the responsibility of the accuser to prove their assertion.  This is exactly why people ignore outrageous allegations all the time.

Further, Republicans have not fought tooth and nail to stop Ford from being heard. They immidiately reached out to her lawyers to arrange for her to speak to the Senate. It was those on the Left that were calling to delay her testimony, and were criticizing Republicans for "bullying" her into testifying.

There is evidence that Ford is lying, for one the fact that her story has changed over time, and secondly that all of the people she claims were at the gathering she was alleged assaulted at, say that no such gathering ever happened.
2655  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh on: September 30, 2018, 09:14:40 PM
Kavanaugh is not on trial, so there is no presumption of innocence here.
This statement shows how much of a bad person you are Suchmoon. I am using your real name because you emailed me giving me permission to use your real life identity and said you were going to delete your message from your inbox -- based on your own standards, the fact that we are not in court means it is your responsibility to disprove this if you want your name removed. You are lucky I am not accusing you of running some kind of sex trafficking ring years ago, because by your own standards it would be acceptable for you to lose your job, and ability to earn a living when you cannot disprove this accusation that has zero evidence.

The principal of the presumption of innocence a the bedrock of anglo american jurisprudence, going back hundreds of years. This is such an important principal that the UN has declared this a human right, that nearly all modern democracies have established this as a right in their constitutions.

If your young child claimed that his sibling hit him without being provoked, you would not punish his brother without gathering some evidence to support this. If an employee claims her coworker stole money from the employer, an employer would not fire said employee without verifying evidence a theft actually occurred and that the employee is responsible. If you claim you are the owner of a specific bank account, a bank employee will not allow you to withdraw funds from said account without verifying this is true.

Anyone who claims that one does not deserve the presumption of innocence is not just wrong, they are unethical, immoral, and should be shammed. Shame on you Suchmoon!
2656  Other / Meta / Re: Writing a welcome message on: September 30, 2018, 07:30:50 PM
I don't think Plagiarism is something that needs to be pointed out as being something you can't do. First of all, this is something that people should know they shouldn't do, for a number of reasons, and I believe most people who do this know it is wrong, but do it anyway.

Well it shouldn't have to be but it really does need to be pointed out that this isn't acceptable and you can see that from the number of threads from people in Meta asking why they were banned and if they can get a second chance, so people should be made aware of the rules and the punishments for doing this so there's no excuses then.
I actually think there are a fairly small number of threads in meta disputing bans (due to plagiarism), especially when compared to when BadBear was banning people for 'low effort posts + paid signature' wholesale. I also have noticed that many of these threads are asking why they have been banned, and often someone will post evidence they were copy/past spamming, and I also note that I understand the ban message is something along the lines of "sorry hilariousetc you have been banned by a forum moderator" when they are permmabanned, and does not have a specific reason, so it is possibly these people don't know they were caught plagiarizing.

Also, I don't think it is as big of a problem in terms in the number of people getting into trouble doing this. Sure there are very many instances of this happening, however I suspect this is done by a fairly small number of people with a very large number of sockpuppet accounts, and I suspect this is often done via some kind of automation/AI.

Sadly I think you're very wrong. Copy and pasting and plagiarism is a huge problem and I'd say this sort of abuse is actually becoming endemic and almost commonplace now. Probably 50+ users a day are being banned for it and many multiples more will be getting away with it.
I don't dispute this is a problem in the forum, I am totally in agreement this is a major issue that needs to be addressed. I have previously advocated the administration scrub posts for copy/paste posts posted, and to scrub posts of a plagiarism database.

I do not dispute that 50+ accounts are banned for this every day, however this is accounts and not necessarily people. We certainly do not see 50+ threads of people questioning why they are banned, substantially lower than that. Also, refer back to when BadBear was banning sig spammers wholesale, there were periods of time when there were many threads opened every day by people banned. This is also a fairly new problem, and it went from absolutely not a problem to being an epidemic almost overnight.

I have also noticed that many people caught copy/past spamming are low rank accounts, which means people are not earning very much from these copy/paste spamming. Many accounts have been caught copy/paste spamming as newbies, which previously could earn very little from paid signatures.

I suspect that many of the copy/paste spammers are probably people we don't really want here regardless of their copy/past spamming. I suspect they are either bump spammers, are engaging in some kind of 'black hat' SEO (either positive, or negative -- I am not sure), or are otherwise trying to create a false sense of interest in projects.
2657  Other / Meta / Re: Rant on Tor on: September 30, 2018, 02:29:23 AM
One possible solution to accepting certain TOR traffic that you know is "perfectly-good traffic" would be to setup a hidden service as a reverse proxy for a specific person, possibly for a cost, and possibly that will only support a pre-determined amount of traffic.

For example, I could ask you to setup a hidden service that I can use to connect to the forum. I would pay you $xx for you to do this. You would then spin up a VPS that runs a hidden service that connects to the "real" IP address of the forum (it bypasses cloud flare) that is intended for only me to access. Our agreement could be that once the hidden service receives xx GB worth of traffic, then it will be shut down -- this will more or less prevent me from using the hidden service to DDoS the forum, or otherwise making the hidden service address public.

I am not sure if you can run multiple hidden services via one VPS/IP address, although I suspect there is a good chance you can.

This would reduce privacy incrementally, as it would expose sockpuppets that are all used to access this hidden service. However the location of the person accessing the hidden service would remain hidden from you, along with other sensitive information, such as their IP address, and ISP.

There would still be the problem of how someone would access the forum in the first place, which is more complicated. One option would be to run a separate website with a separate server, whose only purpose is to sell access to these hidden services. This would be easier to maintain then a major forum, and when that website goes down, it would not affect the forum.

edit: you may not like this, however for added privacy, you may accept payment via certain privacy focused altcoins.

edit2:
People using Tor have something to hide, we don't want their kind on this forum.

[...]
Privacy is good. Tor's approach to it is bad, or at least very incomplete.
One reason for this may be that the TOR devs don't want too much privacy when using tor in order to avoid the government regulate, or otherwise entirely break tor because too many serious criminals are hiding behind tor.
2658  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh on: September 29, 2018, 08:02:36 PM

The Senate Republican investigators have already spoken to the same people that the FBI will speak to, and have already obtained the same information. The only reason Senate democrat investigators are not named is because they refused to participate, hence they are not interested in the truth.

Bullshit, what a ridiculous assumption.  The FBI is a non partisan premier federal agency with thousands of field agents what a stupid assumption to think the senate partisan clowns gather all relevant information.  Your leaps of logic are astounding and agenda driven but ok cool.
If the Republicans don't want to ask specific questions for political purposes, then the staffers who work for democrat senators can ask those questions, and all the questions would be asked.

Judge is in hiding what are the questions the partisan investigators asked asked, I can assure you that the FBI will ask more questions than the partisan republican investigators.
Judge has said he is willing to answer whatever questions are asked of him in writing by Senate investigators. You say that "partisan republican investigators" will only ask softball questions, but you fail to mention that democrat investigators can ask all the questions they want, but declined to participate in the investigation.
2659  Other / Meta / Re: Romanization of Russian in the English posts. on: September 29, 2018, 07:57:46 PM
All of those posts are in the english sections, and should only contain English. Using only my knowledge of the english language, I am not sure what any of those posts are trying to say. I would report them for being in the wrong language.

If the posts were longer or had more effort put into them, or I could otherwise understand what they were saying with the Russian words in the posts, I would leave the posts alone, or possibly suggest that a mod add a translation to the Russian words in a modnote.
2660  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh on: September 29, 2018, 07:49:05 PM
Indeed, the Democratic Party of the US lurches farther in the direction of Stalinesque with each passing year.

I know right looking for the actual facts and truth
Senate Democrat staffers refused to participate in investigations of any of the allegations, and refused to participate in the interviewing of any of the witnesses.

And yet they and the victims were calling for the premier federal investigative bureau to look into the matter.

What information do you think the FBI can uncover that Senate staffers would be unable to uncover?

Well for one they will actually talk to more than just the 2 people in the hearing like duh obviously, something the republicans refused to do ffs seriously if you think some partisan senate staffers are better than the FBI than ok cool.
Senate investigators spoke to all of the witnesses that Ford named. All of the witnesses denied having knowledge of the incident, nor the party/gathering that Ford described.

The Senate Republican investigators have already spoken to the same people that the FBI will speak to, and have already obtained the same information. The only reason Senate democrat investigators are not named is because they refused to participate, hence they are not interested in the truth.
