2641  Economy / Economics / Re: Just my own thoughts on: February 11, 2022, 08:38:32 AM
Bitcoin is fully decentralized which is why I think it doesn't have to compete with Fiat at all, those who needs the decentralized idea should just keep using BTC as it is, we all know that CBDC will run on the blockchain too but in centralised form so where thus this leave Bitcoin?
The point has never been to abandon fiat and move to bitcoin or vice versa but to bring Bitcoin to the bigger public from a niche cult status.

Bitcoin and fiat can stay different but their use has their own pros and cons. Whether CDBC is going to be centralized or not is not important at this stage but will be when governments start sponsoring it. It would be worth watching is common people will accept the centralized version more than bitcoin, which I assume would be the case and the narrative of some governments.
2642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just saying on: February 11, 2022, 08:32:18 AM
Trend memes can't be used for the long term. Looks like after the metaverse, we will soon get the concept of web3.0 collaborating with blockchain so that it can run multiple applications lightly on web3.0
All that sounds good on paper but it can really do is worth looking when it gets kickstarted not before. We can only predict for now and not see any results in future too. On the other hand we have seen what happens when we put too much faith in something related to crypto. They end up as failure or just end up bankrupt due to poor management.

2025 of course there will be new innovations that can exceed what you have mentioned such as NFT and the metaverse. now NFT and metaverse are new breakthroughs if we look at the development of technology a few years ago. try to learn how the development of crypto in 2015 and 2016.
I would not be so lenient as to call NFT or Metaverse as breakthroughs but rather the next hype which will eventually get taken over by the next one. Things showing promises in this sector lack legal support and they will just run away with investor's money in the worst case scenario.
2643  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: February 10, 2022, 04:58:29 AM
now bitcoin has seen a bright light where previously bitcoin was under the price of $40k, but now bitcoin has penetrated the price of $40k and bitcoin is at a price of $41k, that's a sign that bitcoin has seen a bullrun again.
Bitcoin price currently at 43k gives hope to the bllrunboys again. But be sure that you will see selling pressure at this point too, some people bought at 40-41k before the dump and are looking to get out quickly before it drops again. I think it will take some time to reach back 45k but it is happening and it might be before this weekend if everything goes well.

Either way traders need to learn how to profit from both sides. When bitcoin goes up, sell it for fiat and keep the fiat to buy when it goes down. This cycling is of utmost importance. Being stubborn will not get your anywhere and you will get frustrated when you observe that you have not made any significant profits in the last quarter.

2644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Considering the security factor of Altcoins? on: February 10, 2022, 04:30:36 AM
All investors consider security and are always vigilant if they want to invest in a new project, unless the project is a popular ERC-20, BSC or MATIC token. and what I usually do is whether the project has passed an audit from a third party or not, if not then better leave it.
Usually the token audit get passed and several third party white-hat ethical hackers check it just for interest. So that would not be the part having malicious stuff in it. It is usually the bankruptcy and the problems of hostile takeover that become more important.

Then again the plain vaporware projects do exist too and they are good at fooling newbies. Point is the code may be legit and malware free but that does not indicate zero mal-intent from the owners.

OP may be working on security solutions, but that code being public, usually the chances are low there. Closed source codes are not trusted in this sector.

2645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is your opinion on the method of payment for bounty rewards? on: February 10, 2022, 04:25:53 AM
When you get paid in tokens and if project turns out to be good you will be paid out way more than dollar/btc/eth paying bounties.
This is no longer true my friend.

It was true some 5-6years back and that time was when the bounties boomed and so did the signature campaigns. Some unscrupulous people came to this forum and made huge number of accounts just to abuse the campaigns leading to the DT members having to put negative trust on a number of such account stashes. Naturally when you give free entry to a large amount of money without verifying the people running the account, you will face abusers.

This changed quickly when the number of shit projects went up and legit projects went down. The same abusers started complaining of this - talk about thief's having big mouths.
2646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins released during market crash on: February 09, 2022, 09:36:15 AM
the most relevant choice in my opinion is only the top coins. unsustainable projects are very dependent on them in dealing with the situation that occurs. from there a management team is needed in carrying out a project.
It is the safer and easier decision but also the most stress-tested and time-tested method. Investing in Bitcoin a few years back, in this current bearish trend which is being recovered, you are still in a profit and that is a number that even stock markets will not give you in the last 10years. No wonder wall street experts are covering cryptocurrencies and all its buzz in the recent days more than the niche crypto news sites.

The good thing for scammers is that even when there are people like us advising newbies to stay away from newly launched projects and hyped items, some newbies will always go for them thinking that we are trying to stop them from getting rich or part of a conspiracy - one needs to keep their mind clear of such things when trading, otherwise they will lose, just like any average trader.
2647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is your opinion on the method of payment for bounty rewards? on: February 09, 2022, 09:28:29 AM
Bounty is one of the medium used as a means of creating awareness about a project. As the name implies it is supposed to be a "paid to perform" task.
Maybe you are new to this but being paid is way more broad to speak of in terms of what bounty is compared to a daily wager. Bounty tokens are shitcoins worth nothing in 99% of cases.

Quote
What do y'all think about this?
This has been posted in a number of ways and in a number of places. Point is that there will always be some underdogs trying to get some shitcoin worth nothing and doing a lot for that, a low blow type of mentality among many. Because of them there is no uniformity in bounty payments and likely never will.

It is best left as it is, bounties section is a mess since a long time and spammers dominated there before the merit system was introduced. It has culled the spammers to some extent but not much.

My honest suggestion to bounty hunters is to stop doing bounties, try to improve their merit score and get into bitcoin paying campaigns.
2648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where are you guys exploring for new coins, and monitoring the exicted? on: February 09, 2022, 09:16:03 AM
Till now I found all of my coins through youtube channels coingecko and sometimes telegram groups where do you search for new coins? Embarrassed
If you are going to go with YouTube channels you will get spammed with shitcoins. Be it ICO, NFT, DeFi, Metaverse or whatever new cash grab is coming in. My suggestion is to wait for a while and see how the market actually develops around metaverse coins. Most of them are going to be failures anyway but some might survive. That is what you might want to get into.

Tell me your technique and what you think is important to look at? Grin
I go with bitcoin only approach. I rarely of ever get into any altcoin and it's parallels. This has been the best approach for me and for majority of the users of this forum who have been in crypto for a longer time than me. But you can always be the exception and prove us wrong, besides the fact that no one has yet. Roll Eyes
2649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 08, 2022, 03:11:14 PM
I thought it's a bull trap but there will not be a leverage of 30% for bulltrap and I have decided to invest back into crypto and infact cashed in once it crossed $42k. What's your take on Bitcoin price?
The rise is one of the possibilities that could happen once the price had touched stagnancy, it is good thing that the price is going up and the support for bitcoin is building up again, though I consider that it should be supported more when the price is dropping.

It may or may not be a bulltrap. If you are selling, do it already and wait for further movements. If you are looking to buy, you missed out on the opportunity of buying at low and hence dont buy. This is the best advice one can give during a suspected bull-trap.

However, it will be worth watching how bitcoin turns this week because although many are expecting a bullrun to start and hit 50k USD again, I think there is always a chance for it to go down too, support at these levels have been tested few times and it will be worth watching and placing some quick orders.
2650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: February 08, 2022, 03:05:53 PM
I was surprised to hear the news on Bloomberg TV when it was reported that the object price in the Metaverse project was more than $1 million, some even tens of millions, this is what makes metaverse projects more and more popular after the NFT boom is not over and of course this is very good for cryptocurrencies because it can trigger the request.
This is only because of the hype that some millionaires have started to make. It would not have been possible for Metaverse to become this popular otherwise. In fact that is the only reason why scammers are also jumping the bandwagon and starting to make fake websites with the same or similar sounding names.

I can guarantee that newbies will lose money more in fake metaverse projects than any real ones. Another thing to question is whether any real metaverse token will actually get that much attention for a long term model to develop.

The NFT boom is still happening and it is taking a different turn - trying to make useless internet objects into priced possessions. Not that I am a fan of it, but this seems like the end of NFT is also near.
2651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots on: February 08, 2022, 03:02:54 PM
Trading bots maybe useful for those newbie traders who have no idea of technical analysis. They may use crypto trading bots to do the trading for them because if they do it themselves they may incur more loss. But for the experienced traders, trading bots are not that useful because the human can better judge the market as compare to the artificial intelligence.
Their only use is automation of trades because it is not healthy for a human to stay awake for 24x7 and monitor the markets but let a bot do its job. Sleep is indeed the rest needed for every hardworking trader.

There are bots that can start an algorithm on detection of a specific market trigger preset by the owner, but these are more risky and the human judgement is obviously better here if this is being done by veteran traders. This should not be used by newbie traders because they could get washed away.

Then again there are those newbies who think they can use a bot and become a millionaire because of a false picture painted by some sellers. Nobody can help those people from parting with their money.
2652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My take on the market on: February 07, 2022, 05:31:59 AM
It's hard to tell how the market will behave near 40k level. Although the resistance is quite strong at this level but we never know the game plan of the whales.
You guys saw it yesterday, 41k USD was held and today 42k close to 43k is being reached. This is a gradual correction happening. But with weak hands still trying to sell at these levels, it will take some to cross back to 45k.

Quote
On the downside, 30k is a very good level of support and 99% the price will hold at this level. How if 30k is tested multiple times, then again this support can become weak.
Two options, it can hold or it can break, both are good for you - why? If they break, you get a lower price to buy at and if they hold you can be rest assured that the support level is still strong.

You are right and it is something very logical, but sometimes those things that turn out to be so elementary or so logical that they are easy to see, sometimes one gets stuck and does not see anything, sometimes that happens to me, and that is why I read the different forms to think that many people around the world have and when reading and reflecting on these ways of thinking it is as if the brain received many panoramas of the immense possibilities that the market has to do and yes, there is always much more clarity, especially for omar a decision.
Dont read too much my man. Cheesy I mean do read, but read some good work of fiction and not the shit that is posted on the internet.

The stuff that gets written on youtube (spoken I mean) and social media is just Teleology and not professionally done analysis. Just observe support/resistance levels and place orders according to them. Your point is just to make the profit from the oscillations between them.
2653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find ICOs worth investing? on: February 07, 2022, 05:23:27 AM
Hello! Is it still worth to invest into ICOs?
The fact that you frame the question like this shows that you know ICOs are not worth putting money into but you are still testing the waters because you are greedy enough to see your hands get burnt while trying to play with fire.

Break your bubble mate, ICOs are all that are no longer what they used to be a long time back. Not that today the situation is any better, DeFi and NFT have taken over but they are just the same thing with new names.

Quote
If so, how do I find the good ones?
You wont. So stop searching. Learn how trading can be done, long term and invest in coins worth getting into.

Any recommendations here ?Smiley
Mostly bitcoin and if you have money at hand, do go with your country's fiat markets. They are also worth it, unlike what many members of this forum might say.
2654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if crypto mining is outlawed ? on: February 07, 2022, 05:17:04 AM
If one country does this, it does not necessarily mean other countries are going to do it. Governments need money to run their country and this money comes from taxpayers. Instead of banning bitcoin mining, look at what India has done today, put on a 30% tax on bitcoin trades, which essentially ends up being the only way for users to transact in bitcoin.

Governments see this as an opportunity to make money and when they see it they will seize the chance and if this happens more countries will follow suit. So it will not get banned but rather may get taxed in future.

Again it is also correct that if majority of miners get stopped by their governments to mine (which firstly is absurd) - the rest of the miners get a bigger proportion of rewards. Naturally they will turn to their governments and complain about the situation at which stage again governments have to allow mining but with some restrictions, likely taxation again.
2655  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need some marketing strategy on: February 07, 2022, 05:10:11 AM
Seems this question is quite childish but it's reality that only project and development can't lead in market. marketing is the most !!
I beg to differ even though I am not a developer, I think both the product and marketing together make a good business.

Quote
so please provide the best suggestion of marketing, promotion, advertising and different platforms. except bounty campaign !!!
Bounty campaign is not recommended either.

You can go for the signature campaigns in this forum. They are being run by many businesses in this forum specially casinos, marketplaces and exchanges. Since the majority of bitcoin users visit this forum, you project gets a chance to be viewed by these people.

For social media recognition, depending on what your product is, get a social media manager and allow them to help grow your networks. For the start try to give updates through social media as a way to gain followership there.

Last but not the least, this forum also has a paid Advertisement option via auctioning the ad banner spaces. Here is the current running auction of the same - Advertise on this forum - Round 348
2656  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Fake tesla presale website.. on: February 06, 2022, 05:54:10 AM
Two domain names reported here with just a hyphen as the point of difference.

OP, the first website is giving an error "Server Not Found", tried on a proxy and it gives me an error. Checked on Downforme and seems like site has been down now. The more recent posted site is working though.

Only shows how desperate these scammers are in their attempt to scam users of recently heard of projects. Just make a cyberpunk website and put in all sorts of buzzwords and them spam it across forums and social media hoping to catch a big whale enough to fund this process.

Very soon the new website will also go down and another one will popup.
2657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's a pleasant way of marketing? on: February 06, 2022, 05:42:03 AM
Let's say, hypothetically, I am an indie developer who is developing a really fun NFT game. What would be a pleasant, yet efficient way of marketing ourselves? What's a strategy that wouldn't immediately make you go "SPAM ALERT"?
Develop a game that is actually worth playing. Trash tons of games out there on NFT look like kids games and do not appeal to a more mature group but provided the fact that majority of gamers have the mindset of kids, they get attracted to it anyway. You should get yourself a marketing team, but for an indie developer this might be a tough spend at first. However if your game does something unique that other games have no done, you will get a bigger followership - even if you dont do that and your game is just another generic one, follow the community and try to listen to their requests, then you can grow a niche group of people who are going to remain loyal.

Quote
How would you wanna see crypto marketing evolve in the future?
It is already evolving but in a bad way. Currently the social media spam is too much such that people tend to start ignoring them. In a broader sense, no project is going to go long if their product is bad, how good the marketing maybe.
2658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: February 05, 2022, 11:13:51 AM
Check the movie "Ready Player One", 2018. This is the future they are preparing for us. And that's why the money flows there - to Metaverses. You can easily earn some cash by playing this stupid games - isn't it crazy? Smiley
We should accept this brave new world or choose some other ways...
I have been a big fan of Spielberg's work and have watched a lot of Sci-Fi movies in the past too. However, they are all fiction and not everything that happens there will be happening in future. It is human nature to point out the negative aspects more than the positive ones and those who are not related to technology will always say that. Still it does not mean that humans are going to be bound to chains and made to work in order to get money to pay. That is an excessive extrapolation.

Because we are obsessed with bad things, we tend to assume the bad. But really, these games are only dust earnings and they cannot sustain an economy to run. Dont forget that most jobs in this world are not WFH ones, most need skilled on-site work.

These games are stupid and only stupid people will play them in future and waste their time while others go ahead in making money by better methods like buying bitcoin.
2659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULDN'T THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOKENS BE MORE SUPERVISED ? on: February 05, 2022, 11:08:26 AM
The SEC is trying to do all that, but its authority is limited to the USA. so they don't have more power to oversee the fraudulent projects out there. after all, even if there is a supervisory agency, decentralization will be the biggest obstacle to their efforts. there are many projects that are released anonymously, and this is a problem in the crypto industry.
The regulatory bodies similar in function to SEC in many countries have been trying to do that.

The point remains same, these bodies can help keep veteran investors at bay from cash-grab scams but the real target are the newbie traders who have a dangerous level of enthusiasm about cryptocurrency and willing to spend a lot here. These people need to be educated first and then shown how scammers operate in order to learn how to avoid them.

The development on the other hand cannot be stopped directly by SEC, because then it would go underground and keep doing the same thing. Rather there should be a regulation of the funds being raised, their legal problems and so on. This is only a starting phase and I can assure you that the ones who were going to scam investors, have already done so and they have left the grounds ripe for legit projects to take over.
2660  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: February 05, 2022, 11:03:12 AM
For now, we might not see the price going below $30k, but if you look at this month, good bounce follow by a drop again, so it seems to be a a dead cat bounce. We should be at around $40k at least for now if we hold the support $38k in the last couple of days.
Today the price is around 41k and this has been an uptrend starting yesterday evening. Now this could be a new run or a small correction driving the price upward. So this prediction of yours came out to be correct, grats to you for that.

Quote
But I guess it's weak support, so stay tune this month, we might be in for a surprised.
Maybe another $32k-$33k is what I'm seeing base on the current sentiments and trading volumes.
I think the 30k and 35k support levels are strong and they are limiting the downtrend and pushing the price upwards continuously. I would not be surprised if the price comes back down but by now possibly newer levels will develop at 40k and that will keep supporting the price for now.

Current price above 40k might also give the incentive to some weak hands who bought at 38k to sell away. So we might see a lot of movement at this level before it starts moving towards 45k.
