India will surely win this final. England are struggling at 61 for 6 wickets down. I don't think they will be able to reach even 100 runs and it will be an easy target for the Indian batsmen.
Raj Bawa took 4 wickets in 6 overs and is the main highlight in the Indian bowling attack.
James Rew and James Sales have helped the team back on the track to some extent and now England have reached a score of 185 runs losing 9 wickets. Compared to the beginning of the innings, at the end England have managed to score good runs. This time the final is in the favour of India, but we can't come to a conclusion on this. India will try to score in a slow and steady manner as it doesn't have pressure on the required run rate.
2662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment against inflation on: February 05, 2022, 04:15:52 AM
Now California based food chain EVERBOWL have adopted bitcoin standard. The founder and CEO Jeff Fenster in his statement mentioned inflation and the eroding purchase power of fiat currencies made them switch into bitcoin.

He have decided to convert all cash reserve to bitcoin. He adds, running business exclusively on cash isn't anymore advantageous. It is too early in terms of corporate and governmental adoption. But, we want to make a contribution to this cause leading with our example.

EVERBOWL offer it's employees salary paid in Bitcoin. And the process of functioning completely on Bitcoin has started.

One of the biggest revenue source for IPL is the television right. If PSL wants to be succesful then they should stop telecasting those matches on free platforms. They should also work on piracy. Star india has been very successful in stopping piracy. It is practically impossible to watch IPL on any free platforms now. A few years back you would have easily watched those IPL matches on most of the free platform.

Pakistan PSL does not follow the cheap tactics of IPL  and our focus is not on the revenue only. If people can watch PSL on some free platforms, that won't hurt much. Let the people enjoy the matches. Money is not everything.
Also, PSL non-fixed matches gives much better entertainment than the fixed IPL matches.
Each and every ball is fixed in IPL matches, claim bookies  Cool
It is wrong, and you can't state a complete league to be fixed. IPL is on its 15th season this year. The PSL 7 is taking place at present. This means there is a big difference between the both. When PSL 15 takes place you should say there is no match fixing and the tournament is completely focused on giving entertainment and they aren't revenue focused. If Pakistan doesn't follow the Cheap tactics what's the need of starting a league, ans why should they add foreign players into the league.
2664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / CRYPTO COFFEE & CRYPTO MENU on: February 04, 2022, 11:26:55 AM

XRP(Ripple) smashed avo on toast, Doge BLT sandwich, ETH(Ethereum) ham, cheese and tomato toastie and more

Crypto coffee is also providing with a deposit of $20 worth bitcoin while signing up to the cryptocurrency platform Swyftx. Have you heard of any other menu named after cryptocurrencies.

No matter how original the idea and how well thought-out the tokenomics are, a project can still fail. So I would rather invest not in the project at an early stage of development, but in one that already in beta testing, as is the case of CrimeCash
While it is difficult to understand the true state of the market not all projects will fail at present you can keep the price of currencies lower by investing in ethereum. Even if the price of these currencies goes down it will not fail if you hold on to the long term investment the price will double. .
If you invest long term in top coins like Ethereum, BNB and some other coins I don't think you need to worry,
The downturn in the market is normal and there is no need to panic too much.
just keep an eye on the movement and development of the market
Top altcoins have strong backing and the track record of its growth. Above all it has a specific percentage of market dominance compared to rest of the altcoins. Considering different parameters it is always the best choice to buy top altcoins for risk free profit in the long term.

Apart there were potential altcoins that show good growth and has been developed for good cause. In that way FTX is a good altcoin that is in its rise and could reach good price in the long term. I personally prefer it to be a good altcoin for now.
2666  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Government Really Ban Crypto? on: February 03, 2022, 11:25:53 PM
They could, usually through the form of excessive taxation.

It'd be near impossible for them to monitor p2p BTC transactions, so they would work a ban in through economic regulation. They may force you to register any transactions you conduct so they can implement a tax. Bitcoin is treated as property in many places, and therefore the property's value fluctuate. If the government wanted to, they could force you to pay a tax on unrealized gains, merely for holding. Then what happens? Investors dump all their crypto, which accomplishes the same thing as a ban, less usage.

This is a possible way through which government can restrict people from using bitcoin. One such has happened recently in India with a heavy taxation of 30% over the profit out of cryptocurrencies. However I feel that there will be loop holes that let people continue to use cryptocurrencies and generate profit. Maybe we will be restricted much from the bitcoin usage as a legal tender on businesses.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 03, 2022, 06:39:19 PM

If there are very few teams playing cricket, then the ICC is also responsible for that. They killed cricket in associate nations when Srinivasan-Pawar cabal was in power. Everyone knows what happened to teams such as Kenya and Canada. After showing a lot of promise, cricket died out all of a sudden in these countries due to lack of support from the ICC. And what happened in Zimbabwe also needs to be blamed on the ICC. They are still supporting the corrupt cricket board members, despite receiving proof that the funds are being stolen.

Kenya was once integral part of icc tournaments but its no where to be seen and very soon Zim will also vanish from international scenes (I hope this wont be true). Icc must distribute funds based on need not on how mighty a board is. Afghanistan should get good funding against Aus or India as it has limited resources.
90% of the revenue is generated from India. This is the reason why BCCI hands are high on ICC. Maybe that's the reason why there is flaws with the distribution. As of now the teams now in need were Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Ireland. This could change when the teams push themselves high in the big tournaments. Also, it can also be considered a way to keep those teams down.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: New NFT based game launched on: February 03, 2022, 06:10:21 PM
The concept seems to be unique, but in each and everything trying to incorporate NFT might make it get degraded same as that we had with the ICO hype few years back. Personally I don't join it, and maybe if this is promoted well and looks to be a potential one I'll make my entry.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 03, 2022, 05:40:05 PM
Let's not compare leagues in term of popularity. I mean for people in Bangladesh, BPL is most popular league compared  to other leagues. While people in SL like Lanka league. IMO PSL is as much popular as other leagues reason being Pakistan has one of finest T20I team along with local talent.

Well.. IPL is far ahead of the other leagues and no other league will come close (for obvious reasons). But that doesn't mean that the other leagues doesn't attract global audience. CPL and BBL for example are very popular in the subcontinent, while the English county level T20 championship also has a loyal following. From here it can only get better. Cricket is slowly moving from a national-team based setup to a franchise-based setup, which happened with other sports like football and basketball many decades ago.
IPL is one among the top 10 league played around the globe. As said IPL is far ahead, yet different countries have their own leagues to be popular. India being a cricket frenzy country this is very popular. An average of 32000 audience used to watch every IPL match. Maybe with time CPL, BPL, PSL will be more popular. India started earlier which is also a reason for its success. During those days there were not much of leagues for cricket.
2670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 03, 2022, 09:35:57 AM
Ind vs WI
Meanwhile 5-7 Indian players and staff have tested positive for covid, just before windies series.
I think it would be a bad idea to continue with this series because as I am hearing in the news that the new variant of coronavirus is far more contagious than before.
So, it would be a good idea to maybe cancel the series. I also don't think that it would be a good idea to only quarantine those people who are tested positive because that might not be enough.
In total 7 members of the Indian contingent have tested positive. The player's name are Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Navdeep Saini and there are three official. Mayank Agarwal has been added to the squad which means BCCI will not postpone or cancel this tournament. Thanks God all members of the WI squad have been tested negative.

I agreed, If BCCI still wants to continue this tournament I think it is going to be a bad decision for them. They also have a lot of important players tested positive. So, obviously, it is going to affect their play. But the good news is that the West Indies squad has been tested negative. Still can't see any sign of BCCI canceling this tournament, maybe they will take this issue seriously, and will ensure the safety of all.
This is truly a big risk, and these days people are getting adopted to the pandemic. Maybe the players were asymptomatic which is the reason why BCCI isn't taking it with serious concern.

Myself had an experience with my friend. Everyone need to have COVID tested negative results for abroad travel. He tested it within the 24 hrs of journey. It tested negative, and reached the airport. Here once again got tested and reported positive. He hasn't got any symptoms and not allowed to travel. Maybe Indian players might also be asymptomatic.
2671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities Embracing bitcoin because of Divorce? on: February 02, 2022, 09:53:36 PM
This is something very rare to happen. If such scenario happens, then it is upto the investigation team to clarify what all assets available and find the holdings. Further the court can give the judgement on the same. It can request the investigation team to find the capital spend and the net worth. From that the division can be done on such occasion of divorce.
2672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: January 31, 2022, 11:59:47 PM
Explaining people about cryptocurrency/Bitcoin isn't a big task. Here the receiver should be in a state to accept and should have the willingness to know about it. So, initially we must analyse and know whether the particular person to whom we're explaining about bitcoin is interested to know or not.

I haven't encountered big difficulty, because I brief and just leave it. If they're interested, then surely they'll comeback and ask about it further. Once a person whom I said about bitcoin shared the knowledge about it to a third person. Unfortunately I met that third person and he simply asked it is gambling right, I asked why you're saying so. He said it has grown high, as well as crashes unexpected. To such people it is quite hard until they understand it is something about technology.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 31, 2022, 06:18:10 PM

I think if we look on effects of COVID on cricket, it's the Ranji season which has suffered the most, due to BTC's greed for money, IPL has taken place no matter how many cases are coming daily but Ranji and other domestic leagues have not taken place due to the pandemic, whenever they start you see some cases erupting in some of the part of the country and the league is brought at halt, also it's not feasible to create bio bubbles for these players while they are travelling, I think BCCI should try and conduct these matches at neutral venues instead of Home/Away format, it might make a bit less income for Boards but atleast you will see the domestic season running back once again.
Only Ranji taking a hit.

Other tournaments are already finished because most of em are ODI and T-20 competition but Ranji is 4 days affair, this create more problem for them. Its not like they can relocate complete season to UAE similarly to IPL. Let's hope for the best.

If we think about the Ranji trophy, I think we have to look at a lot of different factors at the same time.

First of all, there is not as much money involved as IPL so obviously, this is not the main focus right now.
also, this is not T20 format so that makes it harder to arrange.
And as there is a lot less money involved people are not also interested in it that much, simple.
It is the oldest cricket trophy that is being played within India. This first class cricket series has 38 team participation which includes regional and club teams. With Ranji trophy it is not about money. At any point this doesn't loss its importance. Even now players are chosen out of the performance from Ranji trophy than from the IPL. Money play big role in IPL, in particular the foreign players participation have made it more popular.
2674  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto in Indian Economy? on: January 31, 2022, 04:08:47 PM
India being technologically and economically poor is a wrong statement. As every country have poverty India has poverty, but the economic situation is far better compared to many other countries in the world.

Second I want to mention about the number of smartphone users in India. It stands next to China with 439 million smartphone users. This can be considered as a fact to show India is technologically good. It holds the second highest population which is also a reason for the same. Among the 439 million smartphone users 100 million being cryptocurrency users is really a big thing and shows the wide market of India.

India hasn't taken a strong decision on the usage of cryptocurrency. However there is some clarity provided with the restrictions on privacy coins. Indian media is a big reason for this growth, because people are much into following the advertisement by popular faces.
2675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Hold is Gold on: January 31, 2022, 12:35:58 PM
Hold is gold happens depending on the altcoin that you've chosen. Some get lucky to find the right one whereas majority learn to understand the market and choose the right one for holding. As of now doge has dropped down, and there is some manipulation try from Elon Musk. Maybe if that succeed, the market could bounce again. Also Op have taken the wrong decision moving to c98, because around six months back c98 marked its ath. So, once again he have bought at the peak. Only way to profit now is hold.
2676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2022 be the year of ETH 2.0? on: January 31, 2022, 09:44:33 AM
Looking this thread I remember the past old days of 2017. During those days the market was quite bullish, but the following year was predicted to be the year of ethereum. To the expectation everything happened in the opposite manner. The market gradually turned bearish and at some point ethereum reached around $85. This time we've experienced a bullish market and now this year it is predicted as the year for ETH 2.0, with this I believe the market to grow slowly or to be a bearish year.
2677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy positioned #1 BTC holder, Tesla still at #2nd! on: January 31, 2022, 01:38:37 AM
Looking at the figures I realize that MSTR owns more than 0.5% of the total supply. I think Saylor is on its way to buying 1%. And more. If we take into account that many were lost, that is a considerable amount to own by a single institution. If he does well, he will become one of the richest people in the world. It is not that he is now poor, but he will be among the top.
None knows whether MicroStrategy was holding bitcoin prior to August 2020. During the month of August 2020 it converted around $250m in cash holdings to cryptocurrency. This is the first public company to do it. Within 1.5 years time it has been holding more than 0.5% of the total supply. So, reaching 1% doesn't look like a big deal for MicroStrategy. Possibly by the next year same time MicroStrategy will hold more than 1%
2678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization ain't the solution to everything on: January 31, 2022, 12:32:12 AM
Even before the existence of decentralised network there were criminals and crimes. There is no data stating that blockchain/development of decentralised network have paved path for the increase in crimes. Even now fiat is being demanded and more illegal transactions happening in dollars than these decentralised cryptocurrencies. Decentralization serve as an alternate to the traditional system where everything is centrally connected. It is upto the user to go with the choice.

Just think of it, in a bank an user have deposited $50000 and now to withdraw the same user got into robery. This has happened as a result of the country's currency crisis.

~
It was not only there national squad that is too good in playing cricket, the U19 team reaching semi final clearly indicates that Afghanistan has talent that can take cricket in Afghanistan to further heights. I am interested in seeing Afghanistan winning this U19 WC as this will be good for cricket as we have one more permanent member joining in.
If the political situation is stable then Afghanistan will produce great talents if not these players will move to other countries to earn their living, i have played with and against many players from Afghanistan in the UAE playing for clubs and some of the players i came across have the potential to play for the national side.
It is true. Even if the political situation isn't good, somehow the government can arrange for good coaching out of the country. More talents are hidden and many fear of being into any sports activities. Within such a short time period getting into the semi final is really a big achievement. Because there were more old teams that are part of the tournament.

More controversies are part of the Beijing Summer Olympics for humanitarian reasons. The country keeps taking adequate measures to keep the three Olympic locations isolated from the rest of the nation. This has been criticised by other countries, but they aren't taken into consideration by the government. Even after such a restricted way of conducting the events, 34 have been tested positive. There is political pressure, health and safety measures from Western Nations are supporting the country overcome these problems.
