I have not received a dividend payment this week. (Got last week's.)

Network luck is pitiful (7 blocks in ~3 hours) right now.  LOTS of transactions not getting confirmed as a result, so your dividend may just be stuck in limbo at the moment.

The merged mining (getwork only) server has been restarted to correct a bug that was sending a 'none' X-Stratum redirect header.  Apparently poclbm did not fall back to getwork if the X-Stratum redirection failed.

Thanks very much for the speedy fix for this, it works OK for me now.  Smiley

I had temporarily worked around the problem by reverting to an older poclbm that did not do stratum, that allowed me to start mining NC.

Unfortunately the NC earnings total has now stopped incrementing.  Sad
Possibly when your machine was restarted?

I have two machines running the old poclbm and two machines running the latest poclbm.
They are all incrementing BTC but not NC.
I have stopped/started everything at this end just in case, to no avail.

Shoot, you're right.  The recompiled pool server was done with no knowledge of NMC, so it doesn't credit it.  Will fix ASAP.  One of the many reasons I'd love to get rid of MM/Getwork, I hate this Java code needed for the old getwork servers to keep running.

UPDATE:  Merged mining server restarted, NMC shares now being recorded again.

We are hitting blocksize max + low fees (or nothing Huh) + newly generated coins are with lower priority.

It would be a bit of an irony if BTC guild rejects these for some weird reason

Something's going on, since I received these two transactions from ASICMINER I sent out 2 x 20 BTC payments to two different addresses and no confirmations have shown up for any of them yet.

I received a total of just over 2 BTC from ASICMINER and already had had 200 BTC in my wallet at the time but nothing's confirming for me at the moment.

I sent one of the transactions about 90 minutes ago and it's got nothing, I paid the fee as well.

I can't help but feel this issue is somehow connected to the very slow confirming dividend transactions. I could be wrong though.

This is what's going on. The blockchain is backed up with unconfirmed transactions.

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Which is why BTC Guild is about to launch a new Stratum server with updated bitcoind settings to push for larger blocks (500 KB instead of 250 KB), and more space reserved for transactions that include fees to avoid freebies getting in before paid transactions.

But 3000 unconfirmed txes isn't that much when you consider no blocks in 30 minutes.

A new Stratum server is being added to the rotation shortly.  This new server will be running with a 500,000 byte maximum blocksize instead of the current 250,000 byte default.

This is launching as a new server to avoid restarting any online Stratum servers.  Many miners still have issues with old mining software that doesn't detect a dead/disconnected Stratum server properly.  I'm hoping that by removing a current server from the DNS rotation, it will eventually shrink enough to be safe to turn off.

miners are going offline at btcguild... more diversification?
back online. My guess is the bathroom light switch is too close to the wall outlet switch. or the breaker trips when doing Mr. Noodles in the microwave.

I emailed ASICMINER to notify them that the Stratum proxy had been updated recently.  That may have been why miners went offline [Disclaimer: speculation from pool operator, do not take as gospel].

thanks, eleuthria .
just not used to seeing all those zeros in there in a row. Tongue

must have refreshed at exactly the wrong time.

We had ~2 hours without a block.  At the current pool speed, those shifts can get burned through pretty quick.  One of the many projects I'm working on behind the scenes is making sure the PPLNS system can seamlessly change shift sizes.  I'm looking into increasing the shift size from 3 million to 10 million shares, which would put us back to ~1 hour per shift, with the last 10 hours being paid for blocks.  Still a relatively short mature time (less than 1 day), and will help bring the per-shift variance back down a little.

delays in the PPLNS blocks found currently, any problems ?

PPLNS blocks found stats are updated within 1 minute of a block being found, and the payments to shifts happen within 1 minute after that.  Not sure why you would consider that a delay, it's fairly standard that pool websites don't show blocks for a minute or so since the processing is done by cronjob scripts.

Hi, I'm trying to get into merged mining using GUIminer, downloaded from the BTCGuild website.
I can mine PPLNS or PPS OK normally via my stratum proxy but when I set it for merged mining I get error messages :-

[snip]

It's like it's insisting on stratum and doen't like it when it doesn't find one?

Any ideas?

TIA.

Dave.

Hmm, I'll see what I can do.  The getwork servers were all designed to push users to Stratum.  I thought it completely removed the X-Stratum header on that server but it looks like it did not, so poclbm is trying to follow an invalid IP/port and doesn't fail back to the getwork version.

Am I the only one who thinks this guy sounds like somebody doing a bad Clinton impersonation?  The way he talks is not natural, everything sounds forced.

EU Stratum server seems to be down.  Nothing currently points to an attack, just a datacenter issue.  Will update once its resolved.

EDIT: Server is back up and running.  Sorry for the downtime.  Still looking for a better host in the EU that will accept orders from overseas.  Hetzner does, but they're cheap, and there's always a price to pay with a cheap provider.

Thanks for the quick response ...!!! Everything back mining in less then 30 min great job...!!!   Wink

That's part of the new backend.  The UI isn't just a new window dressing, there have been lots of things added under the hood.  Stratum servers have constant monitoring from two remote servers (which feed into the Pool Stats/Server Status page), and if they fail for more than 5 minutes my phone will make sure I know it.  Still working on a better alert system that will wake me up so I can't sleep through an outage.

Reached 10 GH/s  Smiley

You did?  Or do you mean the pool hit 10 TH?  We bumped a little over 10,000 GH/s a few times in the last week.  The pool has been seeing some pretty healthy growth, ASICMINER got us some press, and the new layout has definitely grabbed the attention of more users.  Even though ASICMINER split/moved some speed off Guild, we've almost gained back that 1 TH/s in new and returning users this week.  Exciting times!  I look forward to the day I can change the display from GH/s to TH/s on the ticker.

Timezone selection is now available on the settings page.  All users are defaulted to GMT/UTC, so if you are not logged in or if you have not updated, all timestamps are now showing up as GMT/UTC.

<And now for something completely different.>
Out of curiosity; what is up with miner 61210?  They've been mining >100GH for a long time-- at least since the difficulty was ~2M.  Yet they never appeared on the top 25 block solver's list.  I noticed this before the fray of ASICS arrived, making this harder to spot.    Is the miner not sending solved blocks?  Did they solve any?

61210 is mining on a getwork server, which means that block solves are not recorded.

Moving the Timezone selection to top of the list.  I hadn't planned on it today, but it's certainly more useful than more statistics or showing your name off on the rankings.  Will post an update when its ready Smiley.

Team America (Fuck Yea!)  Just had to say it.

Web Site is awesome thanks Eleuthria!  Also how do we set it to come up as our name in the stats instead of numbers. Or has that not been implemented yet?

My plan for today is to bring in Aliases (for rankings) and Blocks Found this difficulty.

It would be nice if i can set my timezone and the Charts display the time im my timzone....

I'm looking into getting that done this week (possibly today, but no guarantees).

Is it possible to re-add the feature to see blocks mined on the current difficulty?

This will be brought back soon (after I get some rest), making a couple more adjustments to rankings page.  I'm also looking into an arbitrary "Team Score" which factors in recent shares/blocks solved to favor active teams over ones that simply have lots of old members.  Stats are always fun to play with when the important things are working Smiley.

UI Update:

The various Data Tables (Workers, PPLNS Shifts, Earnings, Payments, etc.) will now save their settings when you move between pages, so you can resize them once and forget about it.  This includes:  Data table size, data table sorting, and data table page #.

Rankings Update:

Team Rankings now includes Blocks Found and Team Size listings.
