2681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quit cryptocurrency trading its not for you! on: June 03, 2018, 11:05:21 PM
Yeah! Trading is a complicated stuff, it's a little bit hard and risky to earn there but so easy to lose money if you made the wrong choice. That's the reason why until now I refuse to deal with day trading. Another reasons are first I don't have a desktop with a fast internet connection for monitoring the market price much easier compare to the smartphone I only have right now and second is I'm still lack of knowledge regarding this. So to avoid losses, I never try this (at least for now) even though I'm really eager to try it.
2682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what can you buy with bitcoin? on: June 03, 2018, 12:53:21 PM
Of course you can buy anything with bitcoins if you will convert it first Grin. But here in my country (Philippines), I still never heard of an establishment accepting btc as a form of payment (or maybe just I'm not aware of). But I knew a direct usage of btc here, the most common wallet we used here supports payments for electric and water bills, for home loan amortization, for cable channel providers, for insurance and even for tuition fees. Sounds amazing right? Smiley But I'm still looking forward that btc's application here will grow further, I hope this will be applied soon in payments for restaurant and supermarkets.
2683  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency wallets: Can they be hacked?? on: June 03, 2018, 11:10:51 AM
Yup! All they said was true. Even how secured or trustworthy the wallet you are using, it can still be breached if important infos like your private keys, usernames & passwords, and pins are leaked. So be very careful always. Here's my tip, never open your account in computer rentals because sometimes computers there has a keylogger. I'm not saying that this happens in all but it is not bad to play safer, right? Remember, "Prevention is better than cure" Smiley.

Nakikita ko na may binbenta silang isa or minsan dalawa, and I think yun yung dahilan ng pagkalugi nila — insufficient hashrate.
Matagal tagal an gugulin nung oras.
Hindi rin ako agree kasi may kakilala ako na nagmamine as a single individual lang and besides di rin naman kalakihan rig nya, kumbaga yung bahay nya lang ang nagsilbing mining farm nya. Ang point ko lang eh nakadepende sa computations mo kung magiging successful ka sa mining or not. Kung after mo macalculate at maconsider lahat ng factors na pwede makaaffect sa pag mine mo (including location, temperarure etc.) and you found out na di feasible tapos tinuloy mo pa rin, for sure malulugi ka talaga.
2685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why wouldn't you invest on ripple? on: June 03, 2018, 12:50:31 AM
Everyone has different views on cryptocurrencies. You can't force everybody to have the same opinion. I don't invest in ripple because I think there are other better coins worth investing.
This is so true. Some likes ripple and some don't, we have different perspectives into this so better to respect it. Both sides have a point, ripple is currently third on the market ~ it means that this is a great coin for long term investment; on the other hand, it's very ironic that it has a platform that supports banking when in the first place it was a cryptocurrency. I think choosing between No to ripple or Yes to ripple just only depends on your preference.

But if I were given a chance to choose between the two  then I still go with ripple because I think that I might lose an opportunity of earning profits if I won't.

I already received the payment for this week. Thanks sir yahoo Smiley.
2687  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Disable on: June 02, 2018, 11:13:10 PM
OMG people, are you using google translate to post here?!?!?
I know my English is not perfect but c'mon, I have no idea what the OP wants to ask and some of the comments  here are like a random wallet seed.
I know it's not easy but there's always a LOCAL BOARDS where you can ask first.

Not so sure about that, OP probably use google translate in his post but could also be only a product of wrong grammar and misuse of punctuation marks (for me seems the latter part). Well, I'm getting used to it since I see shitposts everyday created by newbies and jr. Members (but I'm not talking in general) Roll Eyes. I know that's toxic yet we can't do anything but just to report them.

@OP ~ Sir iasenko was right. If you are not comfortable here then choose to stay in your local board to avoid this misconceptions.
2688  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's High Volatility on: June 02, 2018, 01:41:58 PM
It's not 100-0 since it will never happen that bitcoin will go to zero value. Yeah it's too volatile as you will be profitable if you manage your investment properly.
I absolutely agree with you, I think it's a little bit exaggerated to say that bitcoin drop down from 100 - 0. I'm pretty confident that worst case scenario won't happen because btc still lives as long as there is a holder.

Btc's price is currently around $7600 and I think it will continue to drop so the best thing we can do is to remain hodling. But for the day traders out there, I'm sure you can adapt on this just be more careful.
2689  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Legal on: June 02, 2018, 09:45:03 AM
yes it is legal....
Hmm, I don't think so. I've read an article about this and find out that cryptocurrency in general is banned in that country. I am not sure if that is 100% legit but seems it does because other websites tell also the same. Here's the link: https://ambcrypto.com/bitcoin-btc-and-other-cryptocurrencies-banned-in-pakistan-notice-by-state-bank-of-pakistan/. I hope this helps Smiley.

@OP ~ No offense sir but next time try to conduct yout own reasearch since this your question is only one click away from the answer, that's how Internet so powerful Grin.
2690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can you compare altcoin and bitcoin? on: June 01, 2018, 07:42:06 AM
Hello guys, what do you think, is it possible to compare altcoin and bitcoin?
Of course it is possible, you can compare btc into alt or even in fiat and other things but honestly this be shouldn't. For me, btc is the superior so it's pointless to compare it onto alts because alts is expected to get beaten in every aspect of the game unless btc already fall down from the number 1 spot and replaced by the other (now it will become comparable).

Instead of btc ~ alt comparison, I think it's much easier to accept the alt ~ alt comparison in terms of market price, volume of holders and potentials of booming. When it comes to platforms, we should not compare it because every coin focuses on a particular purpose or application and we should respect that.
2691  Other / Meta / Re: Can't we make a dedicated space to sig campaigns on: June 01, 2018, 03:30:18 AM
For me, creating a new child board only just for spammy signature campaign participants is not absolutely necessary because doing so means tolerating them from such acts. Merit system is already enough, if they will continue creating spam posts thes so be it, I'm sure that they will soon realize that their doings are meaningless making them feel unmotivated (because they can't rank) and will push them later up to just leave the forum by themselves with nothing. And besides I'm pretty sure that mods are taking action about this so relax, what you can do is to report spammy/shitty posts to give some help.

Anyway, if you want to talk about technical stuffs then go to "Mining" or "Development and Technical Discussion". I'm sure you could find a lot of interesting threads there.
2692  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Disable person on: June 01, 2018, 12:16:23 AM
I like your concept of using the blockchain technology for reaching out the persons with disability but I don't think this is the best idea. Yes! They can have a chance to earn good money through btc but you can't still set aside the fact that they can also face losses especailly if they are not yet well educated. Another reason is maybe some of them are not so "techie" so instead of btc why don't we give them a livelihood program like creating souvenirs, woven baskets and other personalized accessories. By doing these, they can earn money and be able to uplift their self-esteem at the same time because they will feel that they are also worthy in this world and feel that they are not different from us.
2693  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Own casino in your country? on: May 31, 2018, 02:39:26 PM
Here in the Philippines, casino is legal despite of the bad effects it brings to us. It is possible to happen because our government get a big amount of tax coming from it and that's a lot of contribution to government fund. But as far as i know, online casinos is not included in the legality; I say so because I heard a news (not 100% sure) about the action done by the Duterte (our president) administration which regards about the termination of oligarchy of online casinos.

@OP ~No offense but I think this topic is not appropriate here in this board since bitcoin has no correlation with it.
2694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Tips for Beginners on: May 31, 2018, 06:56:42 AM

When I start investing on cryptocurrencies I only use few dollars.First time I have invested 0.008btc (6400ETN)on Electroneum ICO.And when electroneum gets listed on cryptopia I sell my ETN at 0.00001200sat each ( 0.0768BTC) My money was doubled many times over.

Cool Shocked! That's already a lot of money dude, congratulations. I also bought $1 worth of electroneum (around 100 etn) during its crowdsale before and now just stock on my wallet waiting for the price to soar high before withdrawal. I hope I can also be able to make profits as large as yours.
But I'll suggests it's safer for beginners to hodl.Buy and Hodl.I hope my tips could help for beginners.
I'll agree with you. They should first start from the basic and take step by step process because jumping into a harder stuff might cause losses. So for beginners out there, study and familiarize first the surrounding you are dealing with.
2695  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Philippines Cryptocurrency Association on: May 31, 2018, 03:42:01 AM
That was a brilliant idea!

2696  Economy / Economics / Re: Which Asian countries have the greatest influence on bitcoin? on: May 30, 2018, 01:35:55 PM
I'll agree with the others, I think Japan and China are the top asian countries who can influenece the market ~ particularly China who can easily shift the trend on the market through the news happening to them. One good example is the time when they banned ICOs in their country, btc's price drop so big (it's like a blood bath) making one of the most unforgettable moment I've experienced here in crypto world.

Anyway, here in the Philippines, our crypto community is now growing because many are now starting to engage with cryptocureency. I'm dreaming that one day we can also be able to reach the same level where those two countries are standing.
2697  Other / Meta / Re: Can I get the Full Member status? on: May 30, 2018, 08:33:04 AM
Please do not show off.

You all got the status without merit.
Not all dude, seems that merit system is not a big deal anymore for Legendary members only and that's for sure since they already reached the final rank but for a middle rank like me I struggle a lot (I'm supposed to be a Sr. Memebr now if there's no merit system ). Despite of this, I'm not complaining because I'm willing for ranking up very hard as long as I can see that our forum is not toxicated by shittyposters anymore.
And I do not ask for too much.

I ask for a status based on my activity.

The same as you got.

This is logical and fair.
Fair if merit system doesn't exist at all but since it does then you don't have any choice but to accept it and work under this implementation. My advice for you is to discover other boards because I noticed that you only moving around Alternative crypto, Local and Others. Work harder and harder, good luck Smiley.
2698  Economy / Economics / Re: How blockchain technology can be used for charity? on: May 29, 2018, 10:32:30 PM
Every time I watch news in TV and saw a segment about the people damaged by the typhoon or any calamity, the difficult life of people in remote areas or even people with disabilities and illnesses, I saw a part where the particular charity institution post their bank accounts for cash donations. I think blockchain technology could also be an option, much better if they will also include their bitcoin address so that btc earners like us can easily outreach the poor ones.

I know that this is just a small step but at least we now have a stepping stone towards a strong connection between blockchain technology and charitble works.
2699  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Union Bank and ETH Co-founder to fix financial inclusivity issue in Philippines on: May 29, 2018, 03:22:12 PM
Union Bank - One of the Largest Banks in the Philippines recently joined hands with Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin to fix the hole in the financial inclusivity issue of Philippines.
So this means that Union bank will now use Eth as a form of payment? (Sorry for not being sure because the thoufh is not direct to the point.) Oh! That's a good news for us, I'm pretty sure will become interested into this making that bank as People's choice.
The issue:
The banking system in Philippines can only be accessed by the high net worth citizens. The reason is the default balance requirement of minimum $2,000. Which made a large portion of the mass outside the reach of banking system and they are heavily dependent on the local remittance networks. In any major cities of Philippines, remittance outlets are seen in every corner of every street like street food stalls. However, local remittance industry lacks serious level of business and operational integrity due to the unregulated nature of their business.
Yeah! That's true. Even me prefers remittance centers compare to having bank accounts because it's faster and less hassle to deal with. Anyway, I think remittance centers can also do what a bank can do in terms of reliability and security so saying that it has lack of operational integrity is a little bit harsh so ince it helps our fellow countrymen to easily remit and accept coins.

2700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Docademic team did not keep their promise on: May 29, 2018, 07:56:10 AM
I feel sorry for you bro. Honestly, I did not expect that you will be scammed since Docademic is a legit project, I say so because I became one of their participants before. Probably what happened is that your camapign manager is a fraudster.

Sad to say but I think there's no way to get your reward, just report your manager to the mods and let them do the punishment for him/her. Anyway thank you for giving this info, now we become aware of this scam. Don't feel too bad because many chnaces are yet to come Smiley.
