I dont know what mverics is so i cant tell you.
Mavericks is the apple OS. I tried installing it on my PC (with an r9 290X graphics card) but it didn't work.
I believe the os isn't compatible with my graphics card. (I got the "colorful snow" error where the screen goes white with specks of color everywhere)

You could always test it out. Im not making any awesome claims or anything about the coin even. I am just saying test it out guy. There was no fluff or frills added, no pre mine, no donation crap nothing, its just a coin and it just started like literally right now, before everyone started mining on it now, there was nothing. at least I stay true to the word that there was nothing hidden behind the launch. anyhow. give it a shot. signing off for a bit, need sleep. Night all.
There was at least a 200 block premine by the time I downloaded the wallet file.

Sorry Guys... Girls on the dev team man... go figure... Sad shouldn't have asked her to post...
This is really funny because it says that this is a "Professional coin"
oh well.
I mined my 2 blocks.

Diff was 0.008 or something and when i set up config file and miner its on 0.1 Sad

Diff is now 0.24

OH! It launched! I thought it was going to launch later tonight. To download the wallet you need to go to http://www.lastcoin.tk/

edit:
296 blocks premined.
2689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ORC] OrionCoin a CPU Coin with changing Reward on: June 15, 2014, 08:44:14 PM
Also where is source code?
Yes, this is just unacceptable for a coin. No source code, no windows wallet, no innovation, no gui.
2690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ORC] OrionCoin a CPU Coin with changing Reward on: June 15, 2014, 08:40:42 PM
dev - you should release windows wallet as well
Nah, then he couldn't instamine.

We can't do it now. We have only our Linux PC running our Windows PC have some problems. We upload so fast we can
Why didn't you upload both of the wallets and then announce the coin?

CMD only again?
Yes, cryptonote technology. Which is confusing for some people, like me, a few weeks ago.
2693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ORC] OrionCoin a CPU Coin with changing Reward on: June 15, 2014, 08:26:22 PM

Guys, if pow generates the MAX MONEY, can you still generate more money from pos?
I need to know. Smiley

Can someone please help me?
This is what I have in main.cpp:
Code:
        const char* pszTimestamp = "14 June 2014 Soceroos lose to Chile 3-1 in FIFA world cup";
        CTransaction txNew;
        txNew.nTime = 1402712622;
        txNew.vin.resize(1);
        txNew.vout.resize(1);
        txNew.vin[0].scriptSig = CScript() << 0 << CBigNum(42) << vector<unsigned char>((const unsigned char*)pszTimestamp, (const unsigned char*)pszTimestamp + strlen(pszTimestamp));
        txNew.vout[0].SetEmpty();
        CBlock block;
        block.vtx.push_back(txNew);
        block.hashPrevBlock = 0;
        block.hashMerkleRoot = 0;
        block.nVersion = 0;
        block.nTime    = 0;
        block.nBits    = 0;
        block.nNonce   = 0;

        //// debug print
        assert(block.hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0x0"));
        block.print();
        assert(block.GetHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet));
        assert(block.CheckBlock());

And in debug.log all I get is:
Code:
CBlock(hash=694b3a55a61339b43c01421b13f710e22e33a7eabda1cd48103bb9f376081d16, ver=0, hashPrevBlock=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, hashMerkleRoot=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, nTime=0, nBits=00000000, nNonce=0, vtx=1, vchBlockSig=)

I'm almost done making my own (crappy) fork of Blackcoin called VirtueCoin, inspired by this coin.
POW lasts until block 10000 = 7 days.
Block reward=50 VIC
Only 500,000 pow coins and stake at 1% per year
Algo: Scrypt (because I can't the bothered changing code to X11 because I don't know how to unless I fork a different coin)
Possible premine of 0.25% but probably not.

Should release tomorrow if I can get the merkel hash to print out into the testnet debug.log.
2697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need help creating Genesis Block (linux, Debian) on: June 14, 2014, 09:39:15 AM
Jesus fck, I'm only 14. I never even said I was going to release this coin, take it easy. Seriously though, you have to start somewhere, right?
2698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need help creating Genesis Block (linux, Debian) on: June 14, 2014, 07:44:00 AM
I need help creating a Genesis block for a BlackCoin fork called VirtueCoin. I'm following this tutorial: http://dogecoin.ga/how_to_create_scrypt_based_altcoins.html
I am trying to get the Merkel hash that is supposed to come up in the testnet debug.log file after you launch the application for the first time but it isn't appearing. Here is what is in the debug.log:

Code:
VirtueCoin version v1.0.7.0-g32a928e (2014-06-14 12:28:10 +1000)
Using OpenSSL version OpenSSL 1.0.1e 11 Feb 2013
Startup time: 06/14/14 07:27:13
Default data directory /home/kyle/.virtuecoin
Used data directory /home/kyle/.virtuecoin/testnet
dbenv.open LogDir=/home/kyle/.virtuecoin/testnet/database ErrorFile=/home/kyle/.virtuecoin/testnet/db.log
Bound to [::]:45883
Bound to 0.0.0.0:45883
Loading block index...
Opening LevelDB in /home/kyle/.virtuecoin/testnet/txleveldb
Opened LevelDB successfully
can someone help me figure this out please?

Its supposed to look something like this:
Code:
b1753ec3845a48ddc4618bc595af6dc89dac328cd48f9f8db178df5dd3b302fc
0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
2fc1b7ef46270c053711fbae934cf7f83378efd4b3e158079451d9c6c90e4700

Maybe I need to change the false to true (what this guy says):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189350.msg2035449#msg2035449
Is this what I do?

I'm a Linux noob (installed it this morning)

Guys, I'm 14 and I'm going to try to make a blackcoin fork called VirtueCoin (if I actually can). Just for fun.
I want to make it like this coin (3 million total coins)
It's POS
How long should POW last?
What should block reward be?

Last night I put Debian on my computer (in virtualbox) so that I could do some GitHub stuff and thought I was all right until I did a sudo command. I put in the password and my user "was not a sudoer" so now I have to reinstall everything without a sudo password.

I may be able to rewrite the code & prevent starting from fresh. However, keep in mind, it will start from ~27900 where it split with some pools. so any coins after that will not be counted. Just use caution if mining, wait for an updated code.

This isn't good.  So I've been mining for the past 1 1/2 days for nothing?  Since launch, I've lost over a thousand VCs due to pool and fork issues.    Sad

I lost ~ 13,000 VC    Angry
I lost 72 000 on the old version. Should have sold it to a guy offering to buy 9000 for 1 BTC.
